Is Killing An Apostate in the Islamic Law? Yes, It is in the Islamic Law since we take our Law from Quraan and Sunnah plus,Ijtihad al olamma or qiyas NOT only from Quraan! Yes, we don't know how our early Muslims took Apostacy! My conclusion was they took it as "Apostacy is = to Treason therefore, even in the west they have Law againt treasons , death plenty is the punishment! Since Muslims that time just started their Goverment ... They couldn't take any Fitna , they needed to unite and make Islam and Muslims ONE. So Apostate was equal to treason.Or crime against the state. On other hand If we take his logic and throw the Sunnah, where is in the Quraan says we have to pray 5 times? or where it says we have to pray fajer 2 rakah, thuhur 4, Azar 4..etc! I don't know but true "There is no compulsion in the religion".And you have right to accept Islam or reject no one can force others into Islam. But at the same time once you accept Islam as a religion the rules change, when you become a Muslim by your own choice, you are expected to submit yourself to Allah and not go back after that!. Besides these crimes, there is crimes committed against the community rather than an individual or crime is of the nature of religious persecution or if the crime is to spread a wave of terror through the whole community or if the crime is committed against the state, the Quraan calls it "Fasad fil arth". Punishments for crimes other than those mentioned above shall be determined by the collectivity of the Muslims, through their legislative body. So,Some scholers put rape, drug trafficking..etc . Even some went as far opposition agains the regime is crime against the cumminity thus, you could be killed For information, In kuwait , rape case punishment is not death plenty but charges as a Adultery for the accused! I believe only Saudi Arabia and Iran apply death plenty for rape criminals. PS:APOSTASY punishment is not stated in the Quran, but is said to be based on certain Hadith. All I wanted was to clear that we don't have every thing in Quraan so muslim scholers use what we call " Qiyaas" and they do their Ijtihads. I got this Hadeth about killing apostasy : Narrated Ikrima, "Some atheists were brought to Ali and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn Abbas who said, "If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah's messenger forbade it, saying, "Do not punish anybody with Allah's punishment (fire)." I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah's Messenger, "Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him." Bukhari. As you see kind of punishment is just opinions! Salam

Ok.After we all released all emotions.True, justice is for this lifetime.....if this life is only for suffering...then it's hopeless to put trust in Allah if we will not recieve justice. He promised to protect the faithful and he must do so. We should not accept anything without a question like a blind child.When we stop asking questions....that is when people can start to distort and change Allah's message and mislead us..thus we must do it in right way, If we are doing the same wrong we are complaining about that wont bring justice but a mess!. Many muslims become lazy and depend on Imams and Sheiks for all answers. They are lazy and don't want to think or read for themselves.
