Sister, it's hard to find neutral sources in internet ...it is really impossible. Well, Prophet told us 1500 years ago that Fast is cure a lot of deseases.. Also prayers is best excise for body and human bones too. Stomach needs break from eating so since we eat 11 months day and night Allah ordered to fast one month and eat during night only. Ingeneral, every thing Allash ask us to do is benifit for us.
