Somalia: Balkanization and Brutalization of Somalia
burahadeer replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
PUNTLANDERS.......What is this?????!!!!! ;=Goldcoast [This is an embarrassing document that underscores what an entire charade this move towards supposed legitimate administration is. If this is the model federal state and the template through which the system that Somalia should be rebuilt is predicated on, the future is undoubtedly bleak. This underscores how obviously clear it is that Somali politicians have no idea what federalism means or what it entails. For all the constant posts about how Puntland is fully behind the quest for Somali unity, its frankly laughable that some in this forum are attempting to defend this. Creating a separate passport? Claiming its resources belong solely to the region? Commanding its owned armed forces indefinitely? Separate foreign policy and international relations? Separate central bank? Issuing its own currency? So what exactly makes Puntland a state of a federal Somalia? Is there a single area left? What exactly separates Puntland from Somaliland as far as these documents are concerned. This all but a declaration of secession, without the temerity to pledge for it. The President and politicians who endorsed this joke of a constitution should be ashamed. An affront indeed.] Nationalists my **s ............. why worry about somaliland recognition when they saying same thing.Hypocrisy much...dadkan afkooda iyo dhegohoodu isma maqlaan. -

Puntland the only one crying both sides of the fence...have problem with rest of south, can't be somebody by thmslvs like somaliland cos they won't be a viable state.Jealous much of SL....empty talk is the order of the day for thm. -
It doesn't matter wat anyone says about numbers.Families remember their loved ones plus death wasn't always about bullets.Lot people died on their way into the countryside.Imagine women, children & old people walking 100s of miles without food or water.Malaria has its toll in the camps too putting the # well ova 100,000. You guys doing good job in making your enemies again...SOL is widely read inside somaliland.Internet good venue to read people's perceptions.

But i think they learned their lessons now, Somalilanders were given their statehood on a golden plate what a disappointment. that's very true but the south was in deep sleep, they were not even aware and instead focused on how to manipulate the new boys in the hood. That's were things went wrong from the start...halkaasay sartu ka qudhuntay.

@ Blessing.....it's not about Islaanta per se.It's about wrong belief ingrained! biduun diintu waa badantay....now foreigners could be somali in 5yrs..guess what?

True but I'm emphasizing their thinking from top down. The north blundered in 1960 & gave away everything cos they were solely focused on somalinimo when the south were putting millions of fake ballots and that's why they took us for granted .How you think the name wlwyn came? the people in the north heard on radio Mogadish that 700,000 voted in the town of wlawyn ,so they thought everybody in the south lives there:D

Abtigiis;826966 wrote: I attended a big meeting where the next development aid framework for somalia was discused this week. It was attended by World Bank, UN, Donors, etc. if only Burahadeer would have heard the comments of the white men about somaliland. One of them said "SL is ready to be assisted through the ministry of planning in Mogadishu, because they are realizing they are not going anywhere with 'this thing'." The way he said the 'this thing' was telling!! Kuwaan arkay hadii aqoonsi laga sugi, ilaahay rer abtigay ha u sahlo! Don't believe fake unionists for second:D.Go read back what you were saying before the London conference and then you vanished couple months when outcome came contrary to your wishful predictions.
