T in somalia is around 10% but believe it,still highest in the world. But the most important is E1b1b1.We r E1b1b1 m35,berbers r second with 87,so we r the parent. http://www.stormfront.org/forum/t554149/ read this thread, will give you good understanding.

Truth is somaliland is bewildered why of all people certain group known to be from siyaad Barre's vicinity still chasing thm, talking endlessly about reunion.Slanders point out that otha groups in the south r indifferent or rarely talk about it.In essence their conclusion is ,it's not about nationalism after all but mere hypocrisy to stand in the way of achieving their long lost independence and remind thmslvs the need to be vigilant. That's why emphasis is put on crimes commited yesterday.

Book Description Publication Date: November 24, 2009 | Age Level: 8 and up | Grade Level: 2 and up | Series: Folktales from Around the World For millennia, Somalia has been crossed and recrossed by camel caravans of merchants, bringing with them stories such as "The Good Prince," in which a kindhearted prince conquers the evil magic of a beautiful sorceress, and "The Ogress and the Snake," a Somali Hansel and Gretel story about five little girls, abandoned in the desert, who take refuge in the house of a man-eating ogress. Elizabeth Laird heard many of these tales in Jigjiga, the capital of Ethiopia's Somali region. She gathers together the finest of them in The Ogress and the Snake and Other Stories from Somalia. The stories abound with colorful characters — Deya Ali, the greedy trickster fox; Kabaalaf the shopkeeper, crooked as a jug-handle, who meets his match in the slippery Hirsi; and the miraculous (and bodyless) Head, whose magic powers conjure up a talking camel and bring him a princess. These and the other magical tales in this delightful collection are the perfect introduction to a fascinating and little-known country. Love to know about dhegdheer(was she cannibal ?). about wiilwaal Cigaal shiidaad Bohola xargegan etc. would like if those of you know can enlighten us more about these stories in detail if possible.

A name does not determine your engagement with your dhaqan. true but problem arises when you have one or two people with somali names out of hundred. Then really in crisis mode. Our names have meaning go along with, for example, Roble/ xareedo is given one born during raining. It's same we need to preserve trees not found anywhere else or historical sites.

MoonLight1;838476 wrote: We are not in a position to carry out that level of authority to distinguish what is called Pure Somali names and non Pure, unless we have the special knowledge and research. How do we know these names you call "arabic" are not originally Somali and adapted by the arabs, bury in mind Somali language being one of the oldest in the world. Secondly, if you try to separate every so called (arabic) word from the Somali, you'll have a handicapped language as the two languages are entwined for centuries and we use "arabic" words for every day language. Its like saying lets separate the Saxon-Germanic words from the english. It does not work like that, languages and civilizations do mix and marry. you'r absolutely wrong.Every somali who speak fluent somali can tell which name is somali, there r few who could be confused with like "hibo, hiba" and even those could easily be clarified by the real nomad.True, languages mix but alien ones r known which is what we trying to do here. The english know which one is french or german & so too r somalis when they look deep into it.Besides nothing wrong if we wana reclaim our names.Look at the Ethiopians, they christian & still called Tedesse,Haile etc.. note amharic & swahili have more arabic in them than somali.Just look how they count. Most of the arabic words in somali came the last 70yrs when we first emigrated to aden. Look the Poets of Qamaan Bulhan & see how many arabic words you can grasp.Maybe 3 or 4. Salaan carabey had more arabic & english in his poets cos he was a seaman.I did quite lot research.
