I don't know where that article get 90%,it's certainly false and you can ask the writer (my link above only mentioned 60% in SL),the south put 100,000s of ballots in every village & that has been the case till 1969...it was one of the things that brought the army into power(corruption).Do you know how the name wlweyn came...northerners heard on radio that 700,000 voted in wlweyn,so they thought everybody from the south live in that village:D No country votes 90% even today! just to add,"Harowo.com" is not where you look for source,it's emotional biased blog.

It says ova 60% of somaliland rejected.Remember there was no union at the time so what the south voted is separate.Look at 2 different regions .It doesn't matter If 90% of south ratified even if you add the less than 40% of landers.Fact is majority of landers rejected and they were still a separate nation at that moment.I gave you the link & google too. It's clear cut. To make it easy for you: Somaliland=rejected by ova 60%...at this point there was no legal union and still separate entity.Whateva the south voted is independent of the north.
