Somalia;751331 wrote: There will be 2 power blocks when Al-Shabaab is gone, Mogadishu/South and Garowe/North. There will be no power in Baidoa as Al-Shabaab is mostly made up of people from those regions. How will SL be able to negotiate between PL and the south when PL trusts the south more than it does SL? Just step into a café in London owned by SLers and you'll see why. PL and the south can determine their own future. There is no hostility, we look at the bigger picture now. "and Garowe North" hahaa...and you wana put the jubas under the carpet,rule thm like before & take their farms.They r more in number than PL can eva achieve,armed & dangerous! and what about between galkayo & Mogadishu.Is that puntland,too...Idinkuna faan baa dunida ku rogeysaan :D:D

False Alarm and Fiction Tales: Response to Mohamed F. Yabarag Article

"Imagine being married to an addictive wife for a very long time and after years of tolerating her addiction you finally said enough is enough and choose to regretfully end the marriage. After years of relapse, the only hope of renewing the unholy matrimony is for her to wish that you suffer the same faith of addictive turmoil." and some hope somaliland be the same Turmoil as somalia as the only hope of bringing back.What a defeatist attitude! -
The problems in somalia has been incessantly turning down road last 20yrs,ofc there were times you see light at the end of the tunnel but it happened to be short lived.I'm turning my eyes to ordinary somalis, and what mostly agree,atleast it seems there won't be easy road to stability as long as SL is missing.There is too much animosity & destruction that occured all these yrs,it's a very fragile situation,they added. There are basically 3 regions vying for power: 1-PL 2-Mid regions(galk-mog) 3-Juba areas(basically Baidoba). and the 4th being Shabab need no explanation(mostly web of smaller clans )that thought terror mechanism as the end justifies the means. The first 2 were historically power brokers & had many mini wars among themselves,but the 3rd had always been at the bottom of the political chain even though they might be equivalent or more numerous at best, and on top of that have the best farming land...they took the brunt of civil war & famine in that area(Mogadishu is different situation).They came out well armed & more aware.It was quite customary for any somali gov't to focus their eyes on this region, confisicate, grab & buy land from locals,thus reducing them to subsistence farming & more hardship.But that's history now. As one put it somalilanders were like a hot dog in a bun here; Siyad & the ones before play the regional card enabling them to run their corruption smoothly,so basically it was North V south & that's the missing link! It brought down a whole school of thought...Somali nationalism! So can somaliland intervene politically tryin to help stabilize without otha side putting too much weight on secession. We certainly aware of every intl sponsored trial has failed;

Now I see it's hard to swallow the truth.Why is it difficult to acknowledge realty? you know this is not working for you, if anything it create more polarization & the will to stay separate.Why not just say, o.k, it was unfortunate & how we go from here..may be you find helping hand this way.Why keep repeating the same stuff from Mahdi to Shariff were saying all along(no Sl...we do this,we do that...nothing happened),you aware that didn't accomplish anything...if I were you I would change the whole strategy....SUTI GAASHAAN doesn't work.Why you expect the status quo to be the same...see no evil, hear no evil.Seriously you people amaze me, and how on earth you think they trust or believe you when you'r in complete denial of all the things they know.It's been only 20yrs buddy;memory is fresh.

"people stuffed with hate is a daunting task"__ even if that's the case,there's cause & effect.You know wat happened unless history is re-written with the usual"it happened to all somalis",which no one buys. Just to add, there was no ssdf at the time(only in name).Spm was very insignificant.Pse we don't have to fight every step of the way.
-
I don't really see any hope there be one somalia again.Denying major facts is the first obstacle to it.Do you really think you take a pen & a pad, go to hargeisa with these kind stories(& probably more astonishing ones) & expect thm to sit down & listen wat you have to say.Good luck. Nice talking to you my friend, atleast it been classy.

Then why aideed & mahdi start fighting!!! This group you talking about was left behind by siyad.SSDF was not a factor at that moment, it didn't even exist as a force,& there was no spm or usc headed by aideed in that meeting(thought was in Mog) .Ali Mahdi was a hotelier; How on earth he could end up in that position even if I go along with ur thesis.Please go back to history.I should admit though I have respect for you albeit you sometimes lose your facts. Anyway I rest my case :D
-
"They didn't even try to meet otha opposition"..I guess you didn't read my earlier post well.What brought the secession agenda so quick at the for front was the declaration Mahdi called himself president without even calling SNM or aknowledging they even exist by his speech" dagaaladii ka soo bilaamay gobolada dhex" LOL! You have to know mahdi throned himslv as soon as Barre left.SNM took ova the north first & was waiting Mogadishu, but one that moment came it left a bad taste in their mouth....repitition of the 60s;and they were not willing to accept that.
-
@Kadar....No . What you expect a dictator in decline?..no one really dicussed in earnest before that declaration in Burao in 91.It was right after Mahdi's speech.It is always good to write history correctly so it may be of use to you in later days.I know it doesn't sit well with a lot people, but what the heck there r holocaust deniers today that made jewish people radical more than eva before.Consequences of denying facts!

M iyo madax madowbaa siman LOL....

then wait your riches hahaaa

so is anotha way of saying somaliland don't leave us.Africa's largest oil is in somaliland..no kidding! hope it helps you leave SL.

Carafaat;750761 wrote: Dont forget it were the Koonfurions declared unilateraly and formed a Goverment on February 1991, headed by Ali Mahdi That was the turning point; it really destroyed whateva chances unionists had.Was the straw that broke camel's back. SNM was the strongest movement & rightfully felt that Ali mahdi who was hotelier in Mogadishu & neva fought for one day is trying to steal power from beneath the carpet..repitition of the 6os.Remember that well known quote from ali "dagaaladii ka soo bilaabmay gobolada dhexe", hillarious! He neva even bothered to call the SNM! can you believe that....lost opportunity, lost innocense! I see these people crying loud all the time as "hasha geela cuntee cabaada".

this religious dogma is nonesense..fundamentalism & coercion is new to somali people.We were tolerant,free nomads..most didn't even pray..their choice;It was imposed religion to begin with just like christianity down south in Kenya. Can you tell me who is right: christian kenyans or muslim somalis...heheee!
