Nomads, we had a meltdown of our dedicated unit and recovery was tedious and not pleasant as so much of drive data was corrupted. Recovery from backup was arduous but now complete. Please do let us know if you are having problems with viewing certain sections, posting on some forums, reading your PM or user data (ratings, post count, etc). Asalamu Alaykum.

Our brother Macruuf went on a short trip to Nairobi. I skimmed through old threads from three individuals as per Macruuf's note to Admin and I must say I am disgusted. To those who have been taking advantage of Macruuf's situation, I am giving you a serious warning; please respect the tradition of SOL and stay civil. Attacking nomads, calling them names, mentioning clan names, using vulgarity or running around the forum with indecent conversation will not get you anything but a ban from SOL. Your insults and attacks will get reviewed no matter when. We keep checking old threads because we don't have the luxury of editing things live. The record is out there for us to review at a later time. Again nomads, please respect the forum and stop violating SOL rules. PS: The ban thread will be updated.

Layzie, Marcus, Faynuus, Nephtys please respect the rules of the website and quit making both direct and veiled personal attacks against one another. This silly war of words is getting out of control and is compromising forum quality. I will personally block all four usernames from SOL if the insults against other nomads don't stop. This is the last time I am going to give a warning on this pathetic "groupie" stuff. Kala xishooda oo ixtirimaaka isugu dedaala. Is jiid-jiidadka aan micnaha lahayn joojiya. Hadii aad khalad kala gasheen, fadlan isa saxa oo ku xarbiya inaydinaan xeerka SOL u degsan ka dul tilaabsan sidii ciyaalkii. NOTE: I am astounded to see grown-up nomads involved in the same silly "groupie" politics that we saw in the early 2000s. C'moon, this is 2008. Odeyaal iyo Habro sidii ilmo yar-yar isla ficiiltamaya waa ayaan darro. This topic is closed.

Ebyan and Wisdom_Seeker, you are both banned from SOL. You've brought your immature squabbles here more than once, and it is time to put it to an end. Good luck. -
Guys, let us stop the insults and the childish name-calling. Don't bring your filthy language here please. Moderators are getting tired of grown-ups acting so childish everyday. If you don't respect the rules of the site, we will have no choice but to block your access to this site. It is not fair that we have to clean up your vulgar, ignorant comments when you clearly understand the rules of Somalia Online. Thank You.

Private messages (pm) and the search function should be working fine. We had few issues of nomads complaining about a bug in the system which tells them that their inbox is full. Send your friends a pm and please confirm everything is working fine for you. We apologize for the inconvenience.
