  1. He was kept there by request of Egypt and Eritrea. Now Egypt thinks the Dam is scuttled or delayed for a decade and the Tigray will not come to complete it. Eritrea also feels confident that the Shiek is not able to help Tigray. The Oromo also feel they have taken away enough of his mining and land that he has been weakened.
  2. Its really bad when one is worst than South Sudan. The facebook flash cards will end as fast as it came. Cannot deliver security, food, transportation, build roads...anything that needs hands, sweat, toil and risk. Will run out of fake news and gimmicks fast. Even Soros with all his bottomless money is running out of gimmicks.
  3. People cannot recognize the fact that, it takes a lot of work to just convince and make the independent nomad to live by village and town rules.
  4. If everyone respected this good tradition people would move on and get somewhere. People would have answered the question: OK now that Illey is gone, what have you done for the Somali, that you could not do during Illey? No body wants to answer that question.
  5. Farmaajo is lost in the shafle. He is just paying attention not to make mistake against Eritrea/Ethiopia. Has disappointed the Turkish beyond measure.
  6. The Uganda man has been in power for too long. He does not have good sense of power play, especially where America is involved. He thinks he is American and Israel representative of the region. Having hard time that little Eritrea is now more important for UAE/America than Uganda.
  7. Which stone? Addis Ababa stone or Nairobi stone/Uganda stone? I think Kililka has a lot of input into what happens in Jubaland along with NFD.
  8. Agree. He has already failed since he is blaming still everything on Illey. Blaming Iley and federally blaming Tigray is now beating a horse that has gone to sleep. They are all out not by local, but by international players America, UAE, Eritrea. The Somali for all intents and purposes had smallest contribution in Illey case. The timing was completely chosen by Abiy and others, not Somalis.
  9. There is not enough room to accomodate all Somalis in the regional government. You need three areas to satisfy participation of all Somalis. Those who participate in the federal government as ministers, directors, deputy ministers, state ministers.... Those who govern the region and those who guide all things Somali through the party SPDP. Its through SPDP and also the house of federation that Shide and others participate. You need all the ducks in a row to have a fairly complete Somali identity and participation. Mainly to protect the autonomy.
  10. Very sad to see most of us reduced to choosing "masters". Some are anti-Tigray yet choose to serve Oromo Amxara interests with the same way they blamed Illey and others. Some are anti-Uganda and Kenya yet are very happy to dance for Abiy and Isayas Some are anti-Turkish yet will dance in Asmara the home of Saudis and UAE in Horn of Africa. Why not first determine what is in the best interest of the Somali people? Who can best help in achieving that interest? Turkish would be choice no.1 since they respect the Somali autonomy in all affairs, local culture, language, future plans and will. The rest consider the Somali as to be told only. The Turish have the moral standing to ask what you want to do and help you or suggest this is better than that and influence you by real plan and action.
  11. You do not have to like Illey or SPDP to recognize that Somali kilil had most autonomy in Ethiopia. What ever small autonomy there was in Ethiopia the Somali had the most. Education, Media, Water works, Government functions, militia..was totally Somali and always talking about Somali in Somali. Now has already started the erosion. Autonomy has two enemies: 1. Those who saw it as threat mainly the AmXara and Oromo 2. The Somali who are willing to give it up and undermine it for power and alliances
  12. Not many people are interested in replacing him or removing him. The problem is his own making. He wanted to connect with Amhara and said it openly. Cagjar himself said "the misunderstanding between Somali and Amhara is a Tigray and Illey making" and he will fix it. His first visit was to be Amhara kilil. In his haste, he forgot that the Somali, Amhara, Tigray..existed and fought each other or together for decades centuries before TPLF or Illey were conceived. Exaggeration and false blaming comes back to trip politicians. Here the problem is not Somali brain of replace, destroy...its the Somali brain of short cut to power and wrong alliance.
  13. The group just started and are already afraid that the murky politics in Ethiopia is still in flux. This group thought that they can take short cut, sideline the Illey and anti-Illey sides and come in the middle connect with Abiy and Isayas and move ON. Not so fast. Now they find thmselves blaming Illey for everything under the sun. Crying for autonomy already which few months ago was not seen as important.
  14. Its an interview Jamal Dirie did in Amharic My plea is to all Ethiopians and Amharic speaking in particular to support President Agjar on his effort to keep the Region safe means keep Ethiopia safe and the changes going forward. To prevent Shide from remotely running kililka and overthrwing Agyar. That is literally what he said.
  15. Its open secret now: Djibouti, Somaliland, Puntland, Kenya, Sudan Vs. Somalia/Mugadishu, Abiy, Eritrea Kililka is in total mess and confusion. Very dangerous possible split of kilil, loss of autonomy of the Somali. Agjar group already in conflict with their Oromo benefactors. Preventing Illey from orderly and Somali managed resignation and change was greatest mistake. Others do things for themselves. The Oromo brought down Illey for their own interest.
  16. The most important achievement the Somali had achieved in Ethiopia was the most autonomous people and region in Ethiopia. Because a group of Somalis did not care about that in the downfall of Illey as westerners say throwing the baby with the bathwater, in just few short months now themseves find out that the autonomy protects everyone. The interview is in Amharic. The bottom line is Agjar begging PM Abiy to save him from fellow Somalis. To add insult to injury here is a Somali directing his plea to Amharic speakers in words.

  19. Don't count the chickens before they are hatched: The new president of Puntland Saeed Deni has revealed that the co-operation of the regional state will remain and will not change. Deni, who was interviewed by the BBC, said the country's constitution states that the regional administrations should cooperate and work their interests, and that whatever the constitution states will happen. The new President of Puntland has already indicated that the establishment of the National Constituent Assembly in 2017 will not change, as expected.

  21. As far as SFG is concerned the difference between Puntlanders is small. Maybe easier to work with or difficult, but similar to what happened in SW is this time out of the question. Century old self government be it sultanates or Boqor is not easy to overcome by SFG.
  22. Its normal. Anyone with an eye in Mugadishu will not do much for state. He is half half already. You need full time dedicated for fast economic development. Economic development is more work than politics.
  23. One thing people forget is that: British are to American Empire as Greeks were to Roman Empire.
  24. funny a minute a go you were all surprised and confused of the selection/election in Puntland Now some of you are doing fake celebration appearing that SFG has won lol Prediction: The new president will be worst and stronger than Gaas for SFG. His immediate need is to reconcile any friction from the election, needs total peace for at least a year and SFG needs war, needs a lot of money and better be share from the foreign money that comes to Mugadishu. He will communicate with Djibouti instead of Ethiopia/Eritrea. The Puntland "deep state" will not allow him to undermine the state in favour of unitary system.
