Salaamz, I disagree with that approach cause after all this is SOMALIAONLINE not SOMALIS THAT JUST READ ENGLISH ONLINE. Those nomads that have complained to ADMIN. need to learn how to read and write af-somali too. They just don't make that effort and DON'T WANT to make that EFFORT to do so. They just want to come on SOL and blabber/gossip/talk #####. Hey I got a difficult time too reading and writing af-somali, but I like and jokes are always better in somali. You probably won't take my advise ADMIN. cause u usually RESPOND to FEMALESSS.

  3. Salaamz, here's my take on some names -Hasan and Hussein's-I've yet to meet one thats not Nice. Inshallah,I wouldn't mind naming my kids those names. -People with names Abdi-Rahaman,Kareem etc. are usually humble and are more SERVANT like in nature, willing to do the dirt work. -There are too many Muhamed's, so too many personalities to describe but generally I haven't had a problem with them. I won't say anything about the FEMALE NAMES for now But ladies do tell us about the Female Names. Fi Amanillah
  4. Salaamz, I just want to pose this question to you nomads newbies and the old ones and all, When u meet someone new in life and they tell u their name, do u get flashbacks of someone else with the same name that u knew before and say if u had GOOD experiences with the previous person/friend, would that help u to accept them. E.g. U met Abdi Fattah at the store today and u had a best friend name abdi fattah before, so u think that u'll gel/get along with this homeboy too and etc. Personally, I really hold true to this that people with the same names usually have similiar traits/ahklaaq and yeah, I will back up a few steps with caution cause of a name if it reminds me of a Negative experiences. 7. Heyyyyy, u can send me FLOWERZZZ anyyyy time! I'll PM you my addy information. If I don't like dem, I can always send them to someone else

  9. Saxib, Ngonge, u got too much time on your hand Its not about anyone on SOL that I am talking about per say. I worry too much, why not  READ Sura Al-ASR, and tell why not But anyways, back to the TOPIC. In my experience, I would say that I was very naive into thinking 'TOO POSTIVELY' about some people, well MUSLIMS and I don't care if you wearing a HIJAB/NIQAAB, LONG AZZ BEARD or not. I really don't TRUST MUSLIMS.   To those that might be Noddin' their Heads, 'WELL Muslim doesn't = Holyness' My response-If you're MUSLIM, you're Game GOTTA BE TIGHTTTT ALL THE TIME. Meaning u should be a shinning example and yes, that includes getting into conflicts with others at times, why not, thats the Nature of the Dunyaaa and I don't mean be bitter or angry ALL THE TIME so don't give me that. Anyways, am not bitter about anything right now except maybe co-workers (who deserve a Tongue Lashing from Me once in a while! ) So lets get back to the TOPIC, people! Fi Amanillah
  10. Salaamz, You know its been a yr. and half on SOL or so and before then, I've had little contact with somalis on the net. Anyways, my views of people have changed since then and its more realistic now and qadra Allah Masha Fa'al I can see things clearer as Bani Adam will always bee Bani Adam and won't change his nature/ways. Anyways, have any of you nomads thought about someone or a group of people from the opposite sex or same sex and come to find out that you were being TOO NICE/TOO NAIVE with them. This usually happens, well at least for me, when I run into another muslim/muslimah who 'CLAIMS' to be for the DEEN and guess what I find out........THEY AS MESSED UP AND EVEN MORE MESSED UP then the NONMUSLIM. Anyways, pls share your experiences it could be about a loved one too that u cared about and ignored their faults. e.g. Crush, Parents, Sisters, friends etc. What would you do now differently now that you know there 'TRUE COLORS', if u were to meet someone SIMILIAR to them? P.S. For those that are thinking NEGATIVELY about ME, do as you like, I'm at work and this was an interesting question that came to mind. Fi Amanillah
  11. Salaamz, When I saw this picture I laughed, and laughed and laugheeeeed and this is at work, so people are staring at me like 'Whats wrong with this Somali?' Walahi, its a sign of the ages Never would have thought to see two MUSLIMAH'S trying to run along side BUCK AZZZZ Naked (wind suits don't count as clothers!) Non-Muslim ladies. If this is not JAHILLLL then I don't know what is Jahillll?   The Shaytannnn is mocking the DEEN with these people. The sistah wearing a hijab and trying to chase the Wind is just absurd. Suppose that Hijab fell off her head and she qualified. (That would be a KODAK IMAGE for the ashab al-Shaytan for sure, cause it would represent her being LIBERATTTTED and a WINNER!) They are doing this with the Afghan chicks    Note: To any Faraax or Xalimoo who doesn't see something wrong with this, well then I gotta question to whom your ALLEGIANCE IS TO. Why? Cause when it comes to SOMALIa/land and SOMALIS, b/c of NATIONALISM (which is PURE SHIRKKKK) you ignore what is HARAAM and make it HALAAL b/c of your SOMALISSSM! I remember the hadith now, in which the rasul (salallahu caliyhe wasilma) stated that Muslims would follow the Non-Muslims so much so that if a non-muslim jumped into a fox whole, we would follow them. 14. Salaamz, Hey folks if you want to argue back and forth ALL DAY and NIGHT then take it up on some other thread. You guys are already doing that in 3 or 4 other threads. LETS GET BACK TO THE TOPIC BILAAL_07 saxib, hit is up with more stories. You know I'm a sucker for these stories cause they put me to shame as a muslim who considers coming on time to work more important than getting up for fajr (Psychologically, I make that mistake alot of times!) and also take many, many, many things for granted. Fi Amanillah
  15. Salaamz, From my observation, In Somalia or for somalis Social class is determined by: 1) TRIBE/CLAN 2) Skin Tone (Light Skinned gets preference interms of marriage partners etc.) 3) Education (you can be a doctor and driving a cabbie, but as long as you are a doctor by education, you are admired by other somalis!) 4) Money 5) Religion (sure why not, include this too!) As for the phenomenon of Social class, it has always been there. The most famous class system is the Hindu Caste system with their 4 castes, the Brahmans (usually the priests), Vaisia (blue collar workers),Kshatria (warrior class) and Sudra (the untouchables (correcting me if I;m wrong here but I'm guessing on this last part) In anycase, their is also a social class in Islam too. We have discussed that in previous posts. Anyhow, thats my 3 shilings. Fi Amanillah
  16. Salaamad, Aad baan oobaxaanyaxey inna oo nafisoo. Kuub shaax baal eedeeba, warkaa aan iineedeebo. I just came from another 'cheek kissing' farewell party at work and let me tell you, my cheeeks hurt from faking my SMILES so much. ouch! While all the time thinking 'Waar kuuwan wexee sheygayaan baa iskayar'. But you gotta play the office politics, so that they can call you BOSS, TOMORROW!

They fought saying that they were cleansing islam from the bida'ah and to acheive this they sided with the kuffar against muslims. I believe personally all this happened because muslims at that time started to disembark from the system that nabi fought for and started to accept kuffar beliefs. Salaamz, good observation about the ikhwaan and I am in agreement with you on that. You know this 'Khalifah' business is very 'MESSIAH LIKE' and DREAMY. HT or whatever group that just TALKS and DEMOLTIONS IDEAS/SPIRITS and doesn't BUILD anything SUBSTANTIAL, are plain and simple A JOKKKKKKKKKKKE!!! Who you kidding? When you have your kids going to the public school, money going to the nonmuslims, hajj the last thing on your family's mind (yet summer vacations are ok!), your wife wears a hijab but your daughters don't, etc. don't be yelling out for 'KHALIFAH'. You're not providing an A RELIABLE, CONCRETE ALTERNATIVE TO THE MUSLIMS. YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM:mad: It takes a long time to build a HOUSE by HAND but less than an hr. to DESTROY IT. You know when we say UMMAH, we often take OURSELVES out of the PICTURE especially when it comes to taking responsibilites for our actions. Anyhow, thats my 4 shillings! Fi Amanillah
  18. Originally posted by Nur: Kheyr Bro. You may have meant the Arabic word AHWAA (أهواء), meaning whims in English. Secondly: I would be very thnakful if you can show me where in my write up you see me follow my whims and departing from the path of Islam, because I made my vocation to work for Islam and the last thing that I like to waste my valuabe time is self glory which will not get me anywhere close to Allah SWT if that is the driver behind my efforts. Thirdly, the question is one of those tricky philosophical questions like " when did you really fall asleep?" when people follow their whims as you have described me and Mutakallim, they would not have any idea when they went off track, but an observer like you, would know the answer, so be kind again, and tell us the answer to your question becasue in all honesty I can't. Fourthly, If after reading the entire thread, that was the only comment you have, it leaves me with three possibilities 1. You do not understand the issues 2. You do understand the issues, but you careless 3. You did not read the issues deeper enough to make an intellectual contribution, so to be seen as sophistacated, you hastely post a response to put everyone down with a thoughtless comment like that. Which one is true Bro.? Please enlighten me, I always enjoy your comments. Nur Salaamz, As to your 'Disecting of Linguistics' in my case, XAWA was used and from this ayat أَرَءَيْتَ مَن٠اتَّخَذَ Ø¥Ùلَـهَه٠هَوَاه٠هَوَاهÙMeaning His own desires/thoughts/ego etc. and in arabic, most arabics words originate from 3 HARAF/LETTER words (XA-WOOW-ALF) In anycase, I don't understand why you 'PICKED on that point' unless it was for ??? Secondly: I would be very thnakful if you can show me where in my write up you see me follow my whims and departing from the path of Islam Saxib, you don't need to start several threads trying to put DOWN other ULAMA and their students b/c you don't agree with them and you find that everyone should follow your LINE OF THINKING. Allah created the DAY AND NIGHT and they both serve his purpose (the Play of Opposites) for if we just had the SUN all the time, we wouldn't appreciate it and likewise if we had the MOON and no SUN, we would never be able to comprehend why we would need something other then the MOON. " when did you really fall asleep?" when people follow their whims as you have described me and Mutakallim, they would not have any idea when they went off track, but an observer like you, would know the answer, so be kind again, and tell us the answer to your question becasue in all honesty I can't. Saxib, so much effort was spent in trying to convience other nomads to think like YOU and to call millions of muslims KUFFAR/Deviants from Islam. TO ACCOMPLISH WHAT??? If we take your LINE OF THINKING, then what HAVE WE ACCOMPLISHED? Better Ibada?Better Mumins cause now we are RIGHTLY GUIDED? You do understand the issues, but you careless 3. You did not read the issues deeper enough to make an intellectual contribution, so to be seen as sophistacated, you hastely post a response to put everyone down with a thoughtless comment like that. It wasn't a hastley made COMMENT, as I do more observing then talking/Posting on SOL. If you took it as a PERSONAL ATTACK (Mutakalim was involved too), then saxib I can't help that. It was an OBSERVATION and TIME WILL TELL if my comment was right or not. So far, its proving to be right as I have hit up on a certain spot. Fi Amanillah
  19. Its nice to see that you can actually write for more than 2 lines and those 2+lines are not a QUESTION? Anyhow, Safety is and will ALWAYS be an ISSUE! Cars or not! The example of your friend is a simple proof b/c as a result of her going by herself, she has come to a negative conclusion about muslims/Islam. By the way,you evaded a simple question that you yourself brought to light Do you pray then? If not, then why don't you pray? Simple answer might negate any 'possible accusations' against you. I feel like underdog here, but as a result of boredom at work, I'm responding to these posts.
  20. Il Capo, saxib when I sent you that poem, it was suppose to a private thing homeboy  you weren't suppose to use that to get all the chicksssssss! But its all gooood! I'll let it go this time
  21. Originally posted by Salafi_Online: Kheyr are we to contradict the Companions, and the righteous Scholars, like Imam Malik, and Imam Ahmed, could it be that we understand the religion better then them? Salaamz, There is Hikmah/Wisdom in what some of those Ulama say and you know I will agree too on a certain level. However, those are not the only views and if we follow you logic then, when Kamal At-Turk came into power, then any muslim who opposed him would have been committing a SIN. Are al the Ikwaanis then committing a SIN? Again, the ULAMA/Mujtahids do error and differ in opinion and the line of Ijtihad is deep (15 centurys deep and not limited to just 3 generations of muslims!) Anyway, I can see some wisdom behind what some of the ulama you mentioned are saying but can you see the other side of the coin? Fi Amanillah

I don't know who else wouldn't but I speak for me (and not for iblis or any other fancy name the shaitan is reserved for). The religion is also based on rationality at times. It wasn't made HARAM accross the Board for a woment to go the masjid. EXAMPLE: If I am running a business, and the business supports a Family and a muslim community but during salat time, I CLOSE DOWN the SHOP to pray at the masjid and end up losing alot of business, not having enough money to support my family and the local muslim community whom rely on me paying for utilities, suffers cause of no money due to ME going to the MASJID for SALAT and closing down the SHOP,Thennnnnnnnnnnn I would say that there is More BARAKAH/AJAR in leaving that SHOP open and not closing it and praying in my shop instead of closing shop and going to the masjid. Likewise, the Hakima/Wisdom behind the saying that a women gets more Ajar/Barakah pray at HOME then in the Masjid is possibly cause: -Wife's preoccupation with children -Danger of a muslimah going to the masjid without her husband, or group of people/sisters etc. i.e. rape (fajr, maghrib and isha salats-no sunlight!) -The physical attraction btwn men and women. A sistah coming out to the masjid, might distract others and attract alot of unwanted attention. (You can attack here!) Hence, some of the reasons why the sisters section in the masjid are smaller. Again, praying daily makes me a muslim? If I don't pray, I am not then a sinning muslim, but totally outside the scope of Islam as a Kufr. I didn't read that anywhere either. Interesting tidbits I am learning online these days. Do you pray then? If not, then why don't you pray? Simple answer might negate any 'possible accusations' against you.

Now, when someone RAISES AN ISSUE, you can't SEPERATE the PERSONALITY/SPEAKER and the ISSUE. They relate and if someone different had posed the issue/question, then the responses would probably be different. DA/OPI, if you do your daily salats, then you are a muslim and inshallah, I can give you room. Salaamz, correction walaal cause if that was the case then Corruption/Fasaad is allowable and Imam Hussein died for no reason is in fact going to hell cause he opposed a ruler that was doing what the above hadith did. (No I'm not shia, so don't negate this argument!) You are selling to us the view of Imam Ibn Taymiyyah and one which the tyrannical leaders love b/c according to this we can have any leader (muslim/nonmuslim/mushrik/kafir) leading muslims so long as he doesn't prevent them from performing their SALAT (basic min'm). Anyhow, I'm just presenting another side of the coin and I'm not for 'Grassroots' if you don't have a Viable, Alternative that can WORK. P.S.
