It was as if he was telling the audience that he agrees with Ayan but has a different way of doing things and he doesn't want to be rejected like her by the muslims. Well, by definition that what you call a munaafiq, Ayan may not be one but she is definitely gaalad weynaatey One is a straight kafira and the other is a promoter of confusion...who's worse - the promoter of confusion. They plot but Allah is the best of Plotters (planners).

^^^ Not a dilemma because Dinosaurs (according to the priests of modern times aka SCIENTISTS) became extinct before humans ever "evolved" into homosapiens. Plus, if Scientists can sell YOU (the avg. person)the idea of the Ice Age and certain species being wiped off the face of the earth, then what is so difficult to believe in the story of prophet Noah (aliyhe asalam).

Xishood / xayaa is the social manifestation of the inner xijab (for men and women) which is far more important than clothes. It is the characteristic of our ummah. That's the issue here and all the other things Islam teaches us about social responsibility, privacy, codes of intimacy, etc.. Well put Blessed (or shall I say Aminah of the old SOL days!)

without hell, how many people would be religious? it seems to me that peoples main motivation for being religious is to avoid hell, hence as they get older and are days away from the grimreapers grip, they start to become religious out of fear. Salamz, Understanding the psychology of Man is important and offerring rewards (heaven) and deterrents (hell)is part of how the Divine communicates to the Man. If you worship and obey out of Fear of God, that is one level of Taqwa, the higher being GOD Conscious because you LOVE GOD, because you LOVE THE GOOD because the GOOD is BEAUTIFUL. In the islamic paradigm, the Shariah is there for the masses and we are urged to stay within the matrix of the Shariah i.e. doing the fundmentals (5 daily prayers, staying away from the Haram(that which is forbidden) etc.). For those that want more, then let them strive for the GOOD towards the GOOD - GOD. For nothing can suffice them except the GOOD - GOD.

Single Mothers on the rise in the somali community
Khayr replied to Sir-Qalbi-Adeyg's topic in General
Apart from not having a husband who helps out with the bills and taking care of the children - and yes before someone jumps on me and points this out, even some married mothers don't enjoy this 'luxuary' - how is a single mother, different to a married one. Is there a shift in the mother-to-child dynamics? Why is this worthy of concern and communal discussion? Somebody got an issue with the label itself. You know raagu, qaarkowd single mothers ee doonayan because maasruf iyo guurey oomaa baxaana. Single mothers are low maintenance ! Truth be told though, I find the single mother phenomena a common occurance now in the somali community. A married couple with children - that class is a minority in our communities. May Allah protect us all from this disease that plagues the somalia communities. -

In many ways he has because he was given a platform to speak on Israeli Apartheid/Racism, which is a taboo topic to be discussed in the media. The reaction of these representatives is over-the-top. I was reading an article in the paper today and couldn't believe the hyperbole about his denial of the holighost.

From what I can remember, Al-Ain was desolate. It has not been urbanized like other u.a.e. cities. Baashi, are you in dubai nowadays? No more Iceland...

A few minutes ago I was reading an article that a modern afghan women wrote and she spoke about how the media was bombarding her with calls about this issue and how they were vaying for her attention. Well, when she told some of those media personalities, that she wanted to discuss how this was disproportioned coverage by the media and that things are not like how the media skewes them to be....well, she got a "we will call you back...click, click..." In anycase, this is sensationalism at its best and how imperialism still exists in this world i.e. Colonial powers must exercise their powers in the affairs of ALL NATIONS that have a different culture, ethos, religious values...

As for the holocaust, it could only be 'exaggerated' if you do not believe it took place to start with. What a leap in logic and reasoning?

"In this case, the court has made it clear that this was a unique case where her conversion itself was invalid," he explained. "So this removes the fear among the Muslim community that conversions may be subject to review." Where are the reasons for this decision and was the shariah standard for conversion applied? -Converting, marrying a muslim and then divorcing and yelling "Can I do it over again?" is nothing but a mockery of the deen. She is not under the age of puberty and she is not mentally insane and it was public knowledge (i.e. someone else knew - family and friends) that she converted to the deen. cajeeb, this is nothing but pure mockery, devil's play in all this.

• They advocate a caliphate, a pan-Islamic state encompassing many countries. • They promote Sharia law. • They believe in jihad, or armed resistance, anywhere in the world. This would include armed resistance by Palestinians against the Israeli military. • They argue that Islam bans homosexuality and that it is a sin against Allah. • They fail to condemn the killing of British soldiers in Iraq or Afghanistan. Its a draft albeit an extreme one. Tactfulness and diplomacy is how governments operate. This draft is extremely racist and very blatant. No Communications branch in any government would approve of it. It would be a Public Relations diseaster. It is a right - wing, draft. I don't see UK nomads giving two shinglings worth of time on this. Why is that?

I'm wrking towards weaving the following verse into my psych and for it be a true reflection of me.. verse: "Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for Allah, the Cherisher of the Worlds" . Are you able to distinguish between the ‘traditional role of women’ and the religious requirements and obligation of women within your faith? Yes, I suppose. This is an area where there's a lot of misinterpretations by traditionalists and modernists alike, you do have to do your own research. How does your faith impact on your way of life, achievement and success? It puts things into perspective. What we consider success for instance can actually take us away from our real purpose or make you lose sight of it. The clarity can be liberating and leads to the contentment Chuba mentions. Hey, thats the Aminah of SOL ala 2002...she's been gone for a minute. Spurts of wisdom...spurts of wisdom...
