Hobbesian_Brute;978079 wrote: The Jizya imposed on the Non-Muslims was a key source of income for Muslims during the Khilafah. Narrated Juwairiya bin Qudama At-Tamimi: We said to 'Umar bin Al-Khattab, "O Chief of the believers! Advise us." He said, "I advise you to fulfill Allah's Convention (made with the Dhimmis) as it is the convention of your Prophet and the source of the livelihood of your dependents (i.e. the taxes from the Dhimmis.)" (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 53, Number 388) Unfortunately, you can't contribute as a Dhimmi. There is however room for you as a slave and you could be sold. There is one thing though - How much would you fetch for? I guess we would need references from your current massas (masters) !

You know the Salafis forgot about loving the rasul (sallahu caliyhe wasilm). In their efforts to fight shirk, they have made Islam to be lifeless and emotionless. You go the grave of the rasul ( sallahu caliyhe waslim) and they police your emotions. Bidda bidda, control your love and emotions. If only they knew what love was. Then they too would be over come with emotion. The rasul (sallahu caliyhe waslim) embodies beauty and all that is beautiful in this deen.

Easy there Wadani! Red Sea just misunderstood your perspective. Wadani, I agree with some of your points. The Shariah is our way of life and how we operate as an Ummah. It never came as socialism or claimed economic prosperity. In fact, the deen acknowledges that people have different strengths and amounts of wealth. I was reading the ayat yesterday wherein Allah tells the rasul sallahu caliyhe wasilm, that if he had the wealth of the dunya that he could not guide nor change the hearts of people but that it is Allah that changes and binds the hearts. The deen is not there to establish economic prosperity in society. Its focus is not job creation nor to establish a sort of romanticized civil society. Do you know how muslims gained wealth when they had an empire? The deen is their as our tool for salvation and for the few - elevation. To grow in iman, taqwa and under for the few - understanding. We can't have this understanding of Shariah making everything better. Examples of this are in Gaza and Egypt. They "elected" Islam and the world and arab shiekdoms "selected" to choke those countries economically by withdrawing funds from them and creating all sorts of embargoes. The end result being the people of those nations becoming poorer as a result of "electing" Islam into their lives and government.

You know if the majority people agree on something and you believe in democracy, then what is wrong with all this - right? By the way, when surveyed as anonymous participants to a survey - the majority are for this. The majority of people are anti-religion and especially Islam. Islam being the pest that is always confronting and opposing the liberal and secular world view. In the court of law, laws are always changing based on societal norms. After all, the law makers are always politically influenced. Case in point - Gay couples being granted marriage licences or Pot being decriminalized. 20 years ago, those two subjects would be a sure loss for any lawyer to argue and defend. Muslims need to have a strong sense of identity. You can't be an American Muslim or a French Muslim. They are oxymorons. It is like saying Israeli Muslim. Tell that to a Palestinian and see what they say to you.

N.O.R.F;977987 wrote: ^There was no religious coexistence before secularism miya? Is this proposed ban in line with secularism Johnny? You know Johnny Boy and his ilk have this idea of secuarlism giving birth to a more tolerant world. In fact, secuarlism rejects what is not inline with it - religion. It was the french enlightenment period headed by the likes of Rossaeu that brought this idea to the forefront. Religion is a home or closed door set of rituals - secularism's statement. l Leave God indoors, as they say. Anyways, if push came to shove, most muslims would drop their deen in a minute. Sad but true!

DC shooting leaves at least 8 dead...2 suspects at large.
Khayr replied to Nin-Yaaban's topic in General
Oh what boring news. Surely, he must be linked to Islam through six degrees of separation. Otherwise, this would be regular news. Now if he converted to Islam (even in his dream), then we could establish causation. -

Tallaabo;977663 wrote: It is such a naked hypocrisy when Muslims deny non-Muslims the right to wear the clothes of their choice or build churches and temples in Muslim majority countries but complain and cry about their rights when the shoe is on the other foot. What hypo-cry-u-say is this? Islam never claimed liberalism nor pluralism. I don't know what reality you live in, but in your world of hypocryusay - their is still a blatant racial and caste system! You can't be for democratic liberalism, when everything that is horse fed to you is selective manure (Grade A). You only regurgitate what you are fed - hate for anything religious.

Sisi and the army are running the show....Mubarak to be freed any second now.

You know the munafiqeen of madina made fun of the qura and hufaz during the battle of tabuk and Allah's response was swift. “If you ask them they declare: ‘We were only talking idly and joking.’ Say: ‘Was it at Allaah, and His Ayats and His Messenger that you were mocking?’ Sura Tawba, v.65-66

It's disgustingly elitist and degrading to the local people. Aphophis, you have taken a 180 turn these days. I am cautiously optimistic about the dramatic changes. Its strange but you make some sense.

In actuality, the "blind and deaf islam" aka prayer islam, is what a lot of secular ulama preach from the minbar too. Heck, Sisi has fatwas telling him that all ikhawanis are kuffar and can be killed.

You know am wondering how Mubarak stepped down without his goons committing mass murder. Was he set for a retirement already? It seems that the army is making up sometime now for blood they didn't spill in 2011. Even though for as long as one could remember, the Egyptian government Has always been into killing its own people. Its a favorite pass time hobby for them.

According to Rupert Murdoch, the majority of the media is owned by his kin folk. So needless to say, all over the news today was the ambush of "unarmed" egyptian police and their deaths by Militants. That was plastered all over the net, radio and print media. You know Sisi and company have charcoal burned many muslims, most notably Those fro al fath mosque. 35 burned souls by Sisi and his goons and they say Peaceful protesting is the way to go.

Yes and yes. So when shall we come by and put a steel collar on you. I have plenty of hard labor for you to do. Thanks for seeking out someone to make you a slave.

What really makes me angry is that Al Azhar and Al Saud and the U.A.E. Are condemning those that have been killed and call for more to be killed by the Sisi and his allies. The people in Al Fatah mosque will either be all arrested or killed today. Sad, sad, situation. For those that when a hardship befalls, they say To Allah we belong and to Him We will return.
