Love jones! Where is my Nina/Nia? How did the poem go again...the blues in my left eye and the funk in my right....finger snaps, toe taps ...lol Alpha, you are one weird dude. Emotional men don't last too long on rollcoasters (women).

Saff, After all this, you are still a willing participate in swallowing hollywood bs. You are definitely of the twitter generation - all talk and no will to do anything idealistic.

12 years a Slave Producerrr was once an Israeli Arms Dealer. New Regency chairman and Hollywood mega-producer Arnon Milchan is no stranger to gripping tales. He's the producer behind Twelve Years A Slave, Fight Club, and Pretty Woman, though its his own history as a secret arms dealer to Israel in the 1960s, that has box office gold written all over it. As The Hollywood Reporter first reported, Milchan has finally confirmed his ties to the Israeli government as an arms dealer. A 2011 book, Confidential: The Life of Secret Agent Turned Hollywood Tycoon Arnon Milchan first investigated the long-standing rumors of Milchan's ties to the Israeli government, and detailed how Milchan was first recruited by Israeli politician and now-president Shimon Peres. Milchan was brought on by Peres to be a liaison to Lekem, the Bureau of Scientific Relations, dedicated to obtaining technology and material for Israel's nuclear program. Milchan did just that, and over the years, helped secure arms for a nation that was perenially at war during that time period. Milchan, an Israeli citizen, lived his double life as a Lekem agent for multiple decades—drawing some suspicion in 1985 when a US aerospace engineer Richard Kelly Smyth was arrested for smuggling krypton to Israel through one of Milchan's companies. Though he never admitted to his connection to the Israeli government, even in the wake of Confidential being published, Milchan finally opened up to Israeli investigative journalism program Uvda to discuss the extent of his relationship with the Israeli government. Milchan also shared that other notable Hollywood legends were involved in his arms dealership, some knowingly and others unknowingly. He alleges that Sydney Pollack was often helpful in arms acquisition, noting that Pollack could have said no to him many times, but did not. Less implict was Richard Dreyfuss, who Milchan used as a plant to recruit American scientist Arthur Biehl to his cause, by inviting Biehl to a dinner party that Dreyfuss was hosting. When describing how he hid his clandestine life from his Hollywood peers, afraid that they wouldn't want to be associated with an arms dealer, Milchan has some choice words for his younger self: "I should have been aware of that [risking his life], of what I'll go through, and said "**** you. You know what? I did it for my country, and I'm proud of it.'"

The Khaleejis and most arabs, are just plain a-wholes. There racism is very blatant.

Untl we change our features and out religion, we will never be fully accepted. We are forever Aliens in another world!

Alpha, You lose major points for admitting to watching Bridget Jones and writing about it. No shame at all. You can't play football with the boys anymore.
-
Hawd, You are joking - right? If so, its a bar joke. We should never dehumanize nor torture anyone.

What are some things that qualify a group to be "Somali"? If you don't like a particular tribe or group of people, is that reason enough to disqualify from the "Somali" nation (without borders)?
-
Saff, You want to give validation for a group that need not be validated. With your line of thinking, you would validate hsexuals and pedophiles too. Just because they exist does not mean that we condone nor validate their choices and actions. This is an important point to raise because liberalism validates all that is not a threat to it and you are an admitted Liberal first and foremost.

Let not the believers take the unbelievers for friends rather than believers; and whoever does this, he shall have nothing of (the guardianship of) Allah, but you should guard yourselves against them, guarding carefully; and Allah makes you cautious of (retribution from) Himself; and to Allah is the eventual coming. There is no ambiguity there as Allah is firm about this. However; the Saud (with their Wahabi supporters) don't have a problem with having "allies", so long as they keep their riches.

Saff, You have insisted that Somali Christians were and continue to have a sizeable population that warrant recognition. It is a false conclusion based on nothing more than opinionation. In the last century, there were missionaries that adopted Somali orphans and gave them anglo saxon names. However; that was a minute amount of Somalis and regardless - those Somalis rediscovered their Islamic lineage. Our identity as Somalis is integrally tied to Islam. Take Islam out and you are just another African.
-
Saff, I enjoy your passionate debates. However; why do you denying things that you can not comprehend from your world poiny of view? i.e. From your historical view. Its as if you take pride in the mention of an English-Man's sir name or first name (e.g. Margaret) As to the Angola situation, if they ban muslims from "political islam" then they are banning Islam. You can't pick and chose what you want from muslims and expect muslims to be tolerant of that type of discrimination and forseeable religious cleanising.

This is a violation and an endorsed violation. والله this is a shame on all of us. اللهم اعزانا و انصرنا

Reeyo, It is all relative - right? Your decision depends on your knowledge of those people. What if each decision, carried with it a penalty. In the court of law, not taking action to stop a harm to someone else can make you a suspsect. You could be charged. A perfect example is if you are at a party and you are a witness to a rape and had the chance to intervene but chose not to - you would be held accountable for having endorsed such actions by staying silent about it.

The Iranians are level headed negotiators. They needed to make some concessions to gain some things. You know the main reason that embargos came against them is because they are an Islamic threat to Israel. No one cares what sect you are. The كفار could care less about your "عقيد".

Saff, Your answer came easy to you. If I told you that those 5 people were all mothers and that one person on the other track was a single male - would you answer differently? Blue, You have to make a choice and death is inevitable for everyone on the two tracks - depending on the choice that you (the decision maker) makes.
-
Apo, Self-interest is the root of all our motivations and is the motive of vices. Apo, What is the 5 people were people you knew e.g. family and the one person - you didn't know? Would you still do nothing? Is Apo the mad man? Depends on his decision
-
G.A. saxib, reread the scenario again. Apo, By you rational, you would support the proactive state terrorism in the name of protecting national interest. There is no morality in putting your own self interests first. The "self" being the principlem that is being adhered to instead of doing what is right. Tallabo, Not interefering is a decision that you make and we are accountable for All of your decisions. In this case, you would co-sign on the death of five "innocent" people.

UK plans to gift money, training to Somaliland and Pakistan to fight terror

What right or business do they have in these muslim countries? Sounds like a waste of money to bribe people. -
You know "Doing Nothing" is a Decision. So if you do nothing in this case, you will have killed 5 people. Sounds to me that you would be held accountable because your decision led to the death of 5 people. Could you live with that decision?
-
I totally empathize with you about those feelings and frustrations. However.... For the mumin, he has Iman+Will Power = Strength Alhamdulillah, I have a strong sense of identity. If you have that then, your focus and resilence grows (inshallah).
