Located in Madinah, Jannat-ul-Baqi is the most respected and regarded graveyard, by Muslims. Most of the inspirational religious figures are resting peacefully in this cemetery. It contains the graves of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s companions, wives, daughters and other members of the family (Approximately around 10,000 Sahabahs are buried here as per Imam Malik (R.A). This place is a must visit place during/ after performing Hajj / Umrah because Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mentioned it a few times. As cited in Sahi Muslim, the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) said: “Peace be upon you, O abode of believers. What you were promised will come to pass tomorrow at a fixed time.
