  1. Walaalayaal it's the 10th of October 2005, a year since the election of President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmad as the President of a united, peacefull and new Somalia. That day, a historic day indeed, I was at home dwelling between radio Daljir and radio Galkacyo. I was also frequently checking allpuntland.com, dayniile.com and other sources. Immediate after the election I turned on the radio to the BBC World Service in which the election of Abdullahi Yusuf was a major news headline. That night I slept peacefully in my bed hoping that H.E. Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmad will deliver the Somali people from the destruction and selfharm they put themselves in. Putting the euphoria on one side let's ask us what has been so far achieved and accomplished. Let's reflect on it both the positive and negative things. I hope all of you who celebrated that night will give us an inclusive insight in what you did that night and I guess the memories will stay with us for the good and the bad. I will never forget it because of the happyness, joy and continues celebrations.

  5. Your question is really complex and it needs knowledge from someone who has studied fiqh but I believe that certain people who are from different casts can actually marry each other provided they're muslims and believe in Allah and the last day. In the quraan Allaah says that a female slave is better than any mushrikah even though you made be amazed at it(walaa amatun muslimatun khairun min mushritatin walow cajabatkum)and that a male slave is better than a mushrik (walaa cabdun mulimatun khairun minal mushrik walaaw cajabakum), therefore the criteria has been set as who to marry, if a female who is from a higher class was said that it is better for her to marry a slave than her cousing or equal, we can see that nasab has nothing to do with it. Also Bilaal rabiixah who was an xabash was married too a girl from the Quraish so were many saxaab who were originally slaves. Islam makes someone who was seen previously as inferior superior as we've seen from the noble followers of our prohet. On the other hand it is perceived to be good for the people who are from the same nasab to marry each other therefore preventing social status issues that can be prevented.
  6. "Culusow" geesinamdii uu Laascaanood ku yimaado maba leh. Just look at his name. He ain't got the guts to come to the darawiish, wallahi the p;eople of lascano would cut him to peaces this little moryan. Wallahi He's a source of comedy. The people of Lasconood ain't to be joked with, they're really serious.
  7. Forget about Heavy-Metal Music the new ultimate trend is about "Death-Metal", it's somehow sarcastic why this people are always so negative. I'd advise everyone to abstain from listening to Heavy Metal, Death-Metal or other sorts of Satanic Music. It's really not good for the state of your mind. I gues you live in the land of the free and brave (give me a break) because over here in Europe you don't see Somalis who like "Death-Metal", most of the Somalis I know who are somehow unreligious listen to Hip-Hop, Pop, Indian, Arabic and Somali music. I find the majority of the Music really corrupting one's heart and questioning the loyalty to our common somali heritage and our pure religion. If have been called many things and criticised by many people who accused me of being somehow Anti-Modern or against modernity but for the fact of matter Iam a tradionalist and conservative who knows where he comes from. I don't accept western values, in fact I don't see them as values but as western "trash" or garbage. The only think they have and we're lacking is their technological and sophisticated approach to education. This is because in the West one can freely persue his idea and develop his mind, whilst in Islamic countries it is forbidden to further develop once mind or to do research or even to invent something because if you do and the you don't agree with the governments stand you'll soon find yourself in exile. I hate to integrate too much into the western society, I've people I talk to, share and exchange ideas but I don't go that far to share close friendship with them or even to invite them to stay some days in my house, how absurd. Talk to your western friends, study with them and do everything to learn and benefit from thier knowledge but never ever become too close to them because if you stay too long with them you'll forget about your prayers and islamic ettiquete etc. These people i.e. western people will never accept us for what we're. They'll keep criticising us until we follow their religion, swap our wifes with them and go with them to the pub to have a few lagers with them. Simply Islam is the best, we already have a superior lifestyle then them so why do we lower us to their pityful level. As Sayyid Qutb already mentioned in his book, he outlined some fifty years ago, that sooner rather than later that we will see the colappse of the communinsm in other words he prophsised the downfall of comunism, he said afterwards that also the capitlistic approach to society and consumerism will also fail because we all know what goes on in western societies, the highest number of rapes, hatecrimes and racism. With Islam those things doesn't exist. Now Bush can talk all he wants about prevent an Islamic state from happening but it is already predistined for the Muslim Ummah to become the world leader once again and to trash all the flag-carries of the shaytaan. We can't live in western society and claim to be good muslims because we make daily concessions to the unbelievers e.g. you can't pray your salat during working hours or you can't go home ten minutes earlier in order to catch the train home in order to make the iftaar. We can't deny certain influences in our life. In a society where you here the adhan five times a day it becomes very easy for you to attend jamaacah prayers but in a society where the females run virtually naked around the streets (just go to central london) how difficult is it for you to lower your gaze? in contrast to an islamic state where the muslim sisters are properly covered up? Make your choice and think about your future, We're Muslims than Somalis and led not the shiny and big crystal buildings of the west fool you, they're morally corrupted.
  8. Here is their website, not very much information they're currently updating the whole website. OIL Exploration company They listed in the Australian Stock Exchange Market and they've only one other deal with the southamerican country of Peru. They said that they only wanted to focus currently on Peru and the North-East of Somaliaa aka Puntland State of Somalia. What's the other company(chinese)they've signed a deal with?
  9. I apologise in the strongest way possible at my misuse and misconduct of using a language that is uncharacteristical and totally alien to me. Walaalayaal iga raali ahaada sidaad uu qadateen mana ula jeedin. I hate controversy but I believe that it was a misunderstanding on my part, the sister in fact recognised my mistake and taughed me the right term to use, that's a sign of wisdom. If you see someone making a mistake you correct them by teaching them and not shouting at them. I had nothing bad or particular in mind. Iam not someone who shys away to confess to his mistakes, Iam actually the first person to raise his hand and be apologetical when he makes a mistake or not. No hardfeelings to the people i've caused so much distress. I was meant to say 1.Gang together: Form a group or gang or Gang up: Join together, typically in order to intimidate someone. in contrast to: Gang-banging which is in fact a word/term that is not existent. Nevertheless I've caused a great deal of distress and hardship. However there is a word in the english langauge that is "gang-bang", that means: 1. A Gang rape or a sexual orgy. Subxanallah!!! 2. (N. Amer.) An instance of violence involving members of a criminal gang. (Astaghfirullahil caliyil cathiim.
  10. Here is some political comedy for you, those of you who like political comedy. Comedy

Some people have totally gone bonkers Walaal hopefully iam not one of those who have gone "bonkers". Anyway Walaal I wasn't applying that you or you thoughts were "worthless", on the contrary I cherish your contributions in here, the majority of it is interesting, mind-stimulating and challenging to one's intellect. What I meant with worthless was your implication of your to suggest that I was looking for mere "drama". Let me tell you that, although we do not know each other however I don't do drama, nor am I a attenionseeker or someone who looks for trouble. Iam a relative quite person. I don't have any issues but I found it somehow odd that as a full member (nomad) of SOL, I do not have the same rights as you. You can view, delete and update your profile, I on the contrary is stuck with what I've now. I thought being a member of this site, one has got certain "rights" and "responsibilities". I have to accept somehow my status. As you know no protest threads are allowed in here, I've numeriously complaint to the people in charge but they were not interested. I've the pms but I will not make them public because they were meant to be private in the first place. I just wanted to raise awareness and let me repeat it to you, I don't have any issues and I wasn't expecting anyone to reply to what I've written nor did I expect any sympathy or pityness of the fellowing members in here. Last but not least Iam proud to be the only nomad in here, who cannot view/update his profile.
  12. ^^^Good and valid points walaal Raxmah. South-East Asia and muslim countries like Malaysia and Indonesia are good choice's. They've vibrant economies and also a society of consumers. BTW if you've an American passport no-one will hasle you, in fact you can live wherever you like. The problem with the majority of us Somalis who immigrate to countries like Saudi is that we don't have adequate bodies that can represemt is and ensure that we're treated well. I've friends who are dutch, canadian, australian and american citiezen and sadly the saudis seem to have a great deal of respect for them but the guy next to them with an old somali, yemani or afghani passport is treated really badly. Is something incomprehendable that you would respect the citiezens of a kaafir country than your immediate citiezens of your neighbour muslim countries. So If you've an American passport no one will even look at you or even touch you in that matter. BTW inshallah Iam not going to plan any more countries to settle too because we can't be "refugees" all the time. I'am amazed at the different lists put up by people. Awal ba la yiri: Sharaf waxaad ku leedahay dalkaagii iyo dadkaagii, Haybadna waxaad ku leedahay dalkaagii hooyo. There is no place like home. For how long can we Somalis stay the laughing stock of the world. You here stories about some nomads dying of thirst in the border area of Malawi and Mozambique. Our country desperate needs investment, people with money who can help and benefit the local people. I have got a great dislike of people who believe that it's somehow o.k. to live in the worst countries on the universe but when you suggest their home country to them they say no. Somalia is more entrprenteunaral and technological advanced than some of the countries mentioned like Yemen. The yemenis leave their countries in their thousands only to be workers in oil rich neighbourly states of Saudi, UAE and the rest of the khaleej. My focus is to go back home as soon as possible inshallah. There is no other place I'd rather feel more comfortable, Long live Somalia.
  13. YOU FAST DOESNT BREAK IF YOU FORGET!! Correct!! True, but that's only if you unintentionally forget and not intenionally. You've to stop immediately when you realise that you actually observing a fast and not drink til the bottle is empty. BTW thinking or longing for food also breaks your fast. If you say that you're starving, thinking about food or looking at the bottle of lemon juice in the fridge and thinkin "Oh my god if I you only could taste it, then you fast becomes something else. Don't long for food, don't taste on anything, don't smell on food (is too tempting) and educate yourself next time around inshallah before you start fasting preferably. In order to play a game effictively one has to know the rules. You can't play soccer if you don't know the off-line rule. Everytime a ball is played to you and you score the ref disallows it because you were offline. All your struggle and hardwork has gone astray and you've worked for nothing because you ain't get any reward for it because you break the rules of the game. Therefore preparation is the best method to go about, one has to prepare himself before does something. Preparation is the key to everything. That's all I've as advice for now.

"I don't think..." That's excatly my problem, you say that you don't think aha... but do you actually know for fact. Do you know it for fact. I'am 100% certain thay you don't know but that you rather don't "think" is somehow taken too far. Good try but worthless.
  15. I've nothing but respect and admiration for our sister Rahima, although she has got her own views, which are totally valid on her own merits and ought to be respected as she is someone you can atleast have a pleasant argument debate with. However I've been saddened to see the likes of wind and others gang-banging her. One can have different opinions but respect and gentlemen-like virtues are not to be transgressed regardless of how objective you're too certain ideas of hers. That's why we're exactly here because we enjoy the company of each other. I could be with like-minded Puntlanders but the reason being why I contribute is because of the different opinions and ideas expressed in here 24/7. Sometimes they are very challenging but nevertheless enjoyable. If we wouldn't have frienldy opposition like the one of Juma, Suldanka and Sister Rahima not to forget "olol" ofcourse still ain't go a clue if he's a man or woman, everything in here would become predictable and boring. Please keep up the opostion and criticise us wherever you can. Show us our mistakes, Mahadsantihin walaalayaal.

Good for you guys atleast if you don't like your avatar you can changed it into something you like more. I on the other hand (Sadly and Unfortunetly) is stuck with my avatar for the rest of my stay in here. Orders from above, I guess different rules apply to different groups. Some here perceive me as a rebel but hey I've nothing to complain about, I really don't mind it but it sets me apart from all of you. So I can proudly proclaim that I'am the only one who is stuck not only with his avatar but also signature and that bloody name Yoonis. I'd rather be Sheikh Yoonis, anyhow I've3 to come to terms with these issue.
  17. "The United States welcomes the September 29 parliamentary elections in Somaliland, which represent a step towards democracy in Somalia," the statement added". Whats up with the cherry picking Tolstoy and Suldaanka, You only fooled yourself. I could clearly see the dissappointment in Tolstoy's writing whilst he served his dear region to justify and interpret the word "greater Somalia" as ethnicity meaning the whole Somali race in the Horn of Africa, I can only feel sympathy for you in your plight. Your arguments don't stand on stable legs walle been has got short legs. What about the people in the NFD, who have held successful elections in their regions not to forget the people of the Somali National Region who elected their representatives to the parliament just a couple of month ago. Really sad as how low you've sanked. This is your political downfall, please no more essay-writting anymore because your integrity and credibility has been shattered. How sad, it's really sad.
  18. Oh man, I still can't stop laughing. Caku third world reginal election. Couldn't they find something more suitable like a bucket. I'll suggest this ones: like those they very handsome The speaker of Puntland told as a lie when he said that he was combating Ballot Boxes, I didn't know that they were combating + They look like some tools used by suicide bombers. Or are they left overs by the cuban troops in the 1977 war that you collected. I didn't know that you region made an international appeal to the world to send you some old dusty rucksucks, so that you could use them as ballot boxes. Really funny. Three buckets, in which bucket will you hand fall inside.
  19. Sayid Poem Read the english translation, you'll soon find out what I mean.
