I double whatever you have given yaa Fanisha. But I gotta tell u sis you can only do so much with qaxooti money laundering. One side of this contest can tap into bigger bond so big that they can employ surviellance on UIC and relay that info to Ethiopians in instant. Now that doesn't mean we should bow to the Ethio dictates. Nope. What it means is we shoudl cut our loses, find a way out, and prepare ourselves another day, a day I'm convinced will come if the regional ambitions of Ethio is left unchecked. Today our boys are not well-equipped for this war. Although your generousity and ME passion is commendable it is not a substitute of the kinda of resources this war requires. Jew that.

Busted: secesionist clan FASCIST support for courts..
Baashi replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Who needs comedy when SOL cyber-ku-dirrir can produce this hilarious piece without playwright and director. Ethiopian brain-child, a product of Ethiopian proxy war, who deep down and sincerely thinks his fallen SNM who were financed, supported, and pushed by Ethiopia are "Mujahids" is now dead opposed another puppet faction who are using Ethiopian might to advance its narrow interests. Dayuum! Only in SOL cyber-ku-dirrir section can such nonsense gain currency. Hey you never know though they might feeling for the blight of Somali brothers under Ethiopian tanks and fighter jets fire. By the way I am positive that my man Northerner is above this trash written in SNet. -

U made my day Paragon. Civility is my middle name. Now make the case for what u call a "defensive realist". First what does it mean? **Waryee Alle-U-Baahane shaarka ii qabo. This is a cyber-ku-dirir like no other. If u share Paragon's views plz help him make the argument**

U didn't get it, do u? There is nothing to add to that. I'm calling for a ceasefire. You are calling the faithful to come out crush the Habasha invaders. Two diff positions. Today is holiday and I can make the rounds and settle this opposing point of view for once. Buddy I'm on fire. I need maneeno. Are u up to the challenge yaa Paragon the warmongerer? Where are the warmongerers of the SOL..where is my man Kaligii Muslim magac qurxoone Mr. Alle-U-Baahane?

Bashir is a fake. I like him better when he pens literary reviews and commentary. However, Bashir commenting on UIC and South Somalia is like Kissinger commenting on Palesttine. He is a too partisan figure to be taken seriously. Maa caleysh.

"A Day of Infamy" Waxa-la-Yirri tol-beelay shout and xog-warran edition By Ciil-Qabe Inna Qalbi-Wanaagsane Today is a “Day of Infamy”. For the first time in history Ethiopian fighter jets have managed to fly over Somalia’s capital unchallenged and unopposed. For the second time in our history, a reconciliation government, a transitional one, declared that it is at war with its own people. Our leaders who supposed to advance the peace process have now been reduced to provide a cover for Ethiopian assault on Islamists. Our veteran reporter Inna-Kaadi Najaasle is missing in action and as a result Waxa-la-Yirri has completely lost its reliable feed from the frontline. The staff of the gazette have gone through intensive training in the art of Qishid and the snail-paced choreography of putting left ear on the ground and deciphering the white-noise chatters so Waxa-la-Yirri can glean facts from the rubbish internet xaafado and its god-father Been Been Sii are dishing out to inform the uninformed public. Waxa-la-Yirri staff’s diligence and professionalism hit the jackpot. Their effort have paid off big time. Waxa-la-Yirr can now bring clarity to the tragedy that has befallen onto Somalis. With clarity we hope the colonels in opposite sides of this tragedy can make an informed and calculated decision - call immediate ceasefire. With the analysis of Dr. War-Mooge, the dean of School of Hard-Knocks, Haud University and Dr. Wax-Ma-Yaqaan, the professor of Kalligii Muslim studies, Liberal Education Center, Shalambood Universiry, Waxa-la-Yirri has the goods. The way forward and the peace in south Somalia hinges on the wisdom of two old foxes. They are both colonels. They have both dominated and outmaneuvered their parties. They have both hijacked the agenda of peace in our land from their colleagues. They are both from the old guard establishment. They have met in a battlefield before. There is no lost love between these two colonels. Colonel Aways is a devout Muslim to many Somalis. He has a history of advancing political Islam. He has refrained from taking part in the civil war. He is also a controversial figure. His opponents have accused him with double standard. They point at his passionate and forceful assertion in advancing the Islamic cause in Puntland and Gedo and his mute and indifference in Benadir. With emergency of UIC, an entity that attained what no one else could, his name has appeared again. He was hailed as the savior of the Somalis and won praise from unlikely corners for the Benadir feat. Confident and impatient, colonel Uways, forced an skeptical Shura council to ride the momentum generated by the UIC success in Benadir and expand the movement to other areas of the country. He has also convinced the Shura the need (militarily) to fend off possible attacks in two strategic gates: Kismayo and Beledweyne. These early decisions has made the TFG nervous and insecure in its center in Baidowa. With Jihad declaration and the ultimatum for Ethiopian withdrawal made the prospect of war inevitable. Dr. Wax-Ma-Yaqaan explained to our staff in no man’s land lava-ridden mountains of 66 degree line where they use northern lights reflections to pick up Waxa-la-Yirri chatters that to “wait a gathering threat is a suicide of sort”. “Absence of Khartoum deal, the presence of Ethiopian boots in Baidowa, and unceasing call of foreign troops by the TFG only meant one thing and only one thing: war” he concluded. Colonel Yussuf is a veteran military man. He was imprisoned by late president Barre for his ambitions and released in 77 war for the army needed him for that war. He was first high officer who switched sides in the middle of the nationalistic war. He manipulated his clan members to join him in his rebellion against Barre regime. When Barre preempted and swept the elite of that clan under Laanta-Buuro and Labaatan-Jiroow prisons, Yussuf got what he wanted- a disenfranchised clan members. His rebellion got teeth and soon Somalia was engaged with a proxy war financed by its archenemy Ethiopia. In the 1990’s when the country plagued with tribal wars, Yussuf emerged as an statesman and military leader of a tribe that was losing the tribal contest. He carved a fiefdom for his folks and under him despite iron hand they prospered and attained peace. Colonel Yussuf is ambitious man. Soon after he realized that he can sit the bargaining table, he set his eyes on the national seat. He pushed federalism where the contesting clans can assure themselves of having regional autonomy as a political safety-net if they lose the top seat. He undermined the first transitional government and succeeded to topple its leader Dr. Abdiqassim. Colonel Yussuf pulled the most impressive trick when he succeeded in dividing Benadir clans and won the support of his archenemy in a election riddled with foreign interferences and bribery. The loosing side undermined the TFG and barred from entering the Benadir, the price of Somali politicking. He quickly realized the complexity of Benadir and he convinced himself that the only way forward is to bring foreign troops and make clean sweep of the clans who opposed him in Benadir. With the emergency of UIC, the argument of Benadir took another significance. For the first time Benadir become peaceful under one entity. To complicate the intrigue, the UIC recognized the TFG and invited them to Benadir. The argument of foreign troops have been skillfully nullified by the UIC. Colonel Yussuf accepted the negotiation with UIC. Colonel Yussuf’s backers in Addis Ababa have become nervous. Some of UIC rank and file members were divided by the prospect of sharing power with self-declared secularist and ruthless military man. It is in this backdrop where the two colonels made their dramatic escalation. Waxa-la-Yirri staff are still dissecting nuh-nuh chatters that proved extremely complex piece of info. No one knows how the UIC’s IndhaCadde took the center stage in declaring an impatient war against the TFG and Ethio backers. “Whatever happened” Dr. War-Mooge said “one thing is clear and that is warlord IndhaCadde and his close Colonel Uways are leading the charge and Sherrif is not as visible as he was expected to be”. Asked what he makes of Ethiopian fighter jets bounding Somali cities and its tanks massacring ill-equipped Somali fighters Dr. War-Mooge responded “it is tragedy and the so-called transitional government is null and void as long as it is fighting alongside the Ethiopians”. Both Dr. Wax-Ma-Yaqaan and Dr. War-Mooge agreed that the only solution to this tragedy is a complete and immediate ceasefire. Whether that is possible at this moment of time is something we can only find out by trying is the conclusion of the Somali experts – experts with impeccable credentials. Waxa-la-Yirri staff will work day and night to bring clarity to the murky world of Somali politicking. The staff are in close contact with all experts in Somali affairs. Our two regular talking heads are weighing in the issues of the day from two different perspectives. The staff are also getting better in gathering chatters by making use of latest technology of communication: star gazing exercise, ear-to-ground push-up, and seeing through the dark with impressive northern lights lumens. Keep your head up and keep hope alive, Waxa-la-Yirri civil-war correspondence

Ngonge, According to their editorials, they seem to be pro-TFG and pro-Somaliweyn. That's my reading. I could be wrong though.

^ Ngonge has a good point there.

^Amin. May Allah give them the strength to stay put. Their enemies are numerous, powerful, well off, and well equipped. Allow maciin sii. Me, Awoowe you must be deaf or blind or something. My stand is crystal clear, unshakable, and firm. I'm rooting for UIC. I'm against Ethiopian presence inside Somalia. Just two sentences...about eleven words. Jew that again. Take ur time. Perfect. I hope that bit will easily sink in. Now, "total war" strategy is not something I am willing to support. Sorry buddy. You are full of hot air. Your cyber huffing and buffing ur halaluya sh*t might seem holly to the simpletons in this site but at the end of the day that kinda sh*t won't do a jack or shelter UIC from Habashi artilery or Jet bombardment. Think about it awoowe. With peace, UIC wins big. Time is the essence here. With total war, strategy and guns win. Habasha have them both. The Habasha's strategy is two fold. One is to protect its "friendly" (read puppets) so called government. The other is to weaken UIC's strength by drawing it to unwinnable war in their turf. What that means is it sucks the energy out of UIC. That was the fix. And my boy our UIC walked into the trap just right in. Believe me Ethiopia cannot invade Somalia. What it can do however is prolong the conflict between Somalis. Deny them the opportunity by negotiating with its stooges. Yaa Alle-U-Baahane, magac qurxoone, Kalligii Muslinoooow, You said the war is on. Yes you damn right! Our cities have been bombarded. Tanks are rolling through our tarmac roads. UIC have fought bravely and I can shout Allah Akbar from top mountains of Iceland. That won't shelter them from the Ethiopian Jets. Brother faan iyo tookh aside, they are up against an standing army whose sole purpose is to weaken their military muscle and political influence over a large swath of strategic territory. Ethiopians don't want to invade Somalia. They simply can't. This war should stop and stopped immediately. Why? I tell you why. If the war is halted and ceasefire is implemented today, UIC will win: 1. UIC keeps South of Somalia minus Biadowa and Gedo. 2. TFG remains holed up in Baidowa. 3. Ethiopians will be forced to withdrew if peace process track resumes in full speed. 4. Egypt and its Arab League will have a case to make and will be able to help and push Ethiopians back (in diplomatic front) Waryee ma ila socotaa. Caaqil, Boowe you are bit confused I guess. Yes War is in our hands! Isn't that abvious!! We want to win this one, don't we? In time of war, you need logistics, weapons, makeshift hospitals, fuel, trained and capable commanders, trained foot soldiers, spies, and what not. Without these essentials, you will simply suffer great casualties. Hauling volunteers with rifles and technicals can hold the fort for a while but that's not a winning military strategy, is it? You are damn right, we are in the middle of war. However this is a war we DON'T have to fight today. The third way is this: Call a ceasefire immedietely. Declare ur willingness to take a part any reconciliation process with usual caveat that it must be a one wholly owned by Somalis. What the f** is wrong with y'all. Don'y u see what I see or what? I'm gonna write one more Waxa-la-Yirri article to this effect.

Thoughtful and excellent piece. Incidentaly that's exactly the same line I have been preaching for quite sometimes now. Waxaanse noqday nin aashuun ku adimaya. Yaa Allah sidii roon.

Originally posted by Kashafa: ^^Not clear a stand enough, yaa Baashi. I guess what me and others are looking for is for you to pick a side in this conflict and explain why you support it. That side might not be perfect, it might be going about things the wrong way, but you can't circle around the fray and not commit to the success of one side and the defeat of the other. If your stand is both sides are at fault in engaging in a disastrous, senseless war that will have horrible ramifications on the civillian populace, Which side is less wrong ? Which side, although flawed in your opinion, has the best chance of saving Somalia from perpetual civil war ? Who do you want to see on top ? Questions, that must be answered, homes. You and Ngogne are doing a pretty good job of analysing the dire situation back home and showing alternative points of view. That's great but as me said, now isn't the time for academic exercises, you must....must...commit. The stakes are just too high. More on that, and why I support the ICU, and earlier Q's later. Perfect. Your tone has changed a bit. I like it. Still there is a room for improvement yaa Kashafa. Read my posts again. I'm for UIC. I wanted them to win big. Win in the battles they are engaged in at the moment and win the cause they said they are championing for. I also want them to get their sh*t straight. Dude what part of that you don't understand? Let me break it down for you buddy. My support for the UIC stated goals is firm. My views of how best to get to the finishing line is different from the current adopted strategies. The strategy employed to realize that stated goal is open for discussion. Noh? Constructive criticism is not synonymous with wobbling if that is where ur posts are aimed at. And yeah Ngonge is absolutely right when he talks about the lack of clear and winning strategy from UIC side.

A war sermon you said. Very well. Cara has posted a fitting and timely classic sermon. If my memory serves me well that anti-war essay was about American imperialism in a far away Phillipine and closer to home Cuba. The Yankees were trying to get the piece of the pie by pushing the Spaniards away. However the Uncle Sam "the army wants u" signs were popping up all over rural America. In Mississipi and Kansas the imperialistic war was sold as a religious war to the unsuspecting rural folk. He wrote the anti-war essay. elsewhere the story was different "The White Man's Burden" was making the headlines. Back to the current event. I'm on fire buddy. You missed me last night when I was making the rounds. I was in the mood for the kinda sermon you are asking now. Yaa Xiin will catch u later...gotta run now...working today.

Tell you what! my being with "walaalaha Somaliyeed" by lending my posts in cyber forum in english lingo in what I consider a blunder does not do any good. Neither ur warmongering theatrics here will have any bearings on how the war is waged in the frontline. Capisci awoowe. Take a stand? Very well. My stand is there's a third way of attaining the goal short of waging an impatient war against a well organized standing military with the military and diplomatic baking of powers that be. Jew that buddy.

I don't share a political platform with my man Il Generale but I gotta take my hat off to him for being upfront of where he stand on the Somali politiking. He is with Inna Yey for better or for worse and that's an address any debater in this forum can aim his/her underhand digs. But the man takes all the digs in a manly man laid-back kinda way. Having said that, I am disappointed in him for becoming a warmongerer. If you r reading my man Il Generale know this: this is a tragedy it has been a tragedy but today standing army from a neighboring country is on the move killing and maiming your fellow Somalis. I can understand if you question the motives of the UIC and who started what when and why. However when it comes rooting for or against Habasha vs fellow Muslim Somalis, don't you root for the Habasha. That's unbecoming of sincere genuine Muslim. The forum wouldn't be as busy as it has been without partisans like Il Generale, Oodweyne, Horn, and what have you. Ku durduriya.

Originally posted by Kashafa: I ask you: What would you do at that point, if you are of noble birth(to borrow a Xiin-ism lol) You get my point. This is a no-brainer. War was inevitable the minute Etho soldiers started popping up all over Somalia. Ninkee shantaada kaa celinin,( salaan ma kaa celiso ?...somebody finish the maah-maah). lol. Wrong analogy buddy. Using ur own analogy lets lay the blame where it lies. Who set the whole thing up? The big brother right? And why? He wanted to settle the sibling rivalry. I see. Instead he set the whole neighborhood on fire! What a sagacious brother! This war is untimely and unnecessary war. Ethiopians have been snaeking in and out of the border for quite sometimes now. That's not somthing new buddy. Their men and military crafts have landed in Jowhar, Garowe, and Berbera before. They have been interferring in our affairs for ages. What has changed now is that UIC thought it can take them on - a blunder in the first order if u ask me. Instead of booting them Habasha out of Somali soil, the Habasha are setting up camps inside Somalia. In the heat of the moment the outmanoeuvered kid didn't swallow his pride but saw the need to call in his father's nemesis. Has the big bro solved the sibling rivalry? I guess the honest answer is he has created a nasty family fued instead. Not to mention the gift he has given to the family enemy.

A powerful and timely post. The power of the pen is amazing. This is a powerful essay. Cleverly composed anti-war essay. Man! very impressive wallahi. In reading this one, I find myself inside that lil church infront of this firebrand religious figure exhorting the faithful to go off to an imperialistic war somewhere in Phillipine jungle and fight the good fight in the name of glory, greatness, and honor for the Yankees. Dayuum! he brings in his opposite and flips the coin to xarash. That's how it's done...take a note yaa writers especially satirist in SOL. This one, yaa Cara, belongs to the politics section. Post it there.

Che, If Ethiopian constitution grants the green light for any nationalities inside Ethiopia to secede, isn't that an start? In my humble opinion when and if strong Somali state emerges from the Somalia once existed, the folks down there will have enough good reason to assert their rights lil more forcefully than today. A great legal hurdle has been cleared for the folks who reside there. Of course the dictatorship have the means and the will as well to supress the aspirations of the Somalis in Killinka Shanaad. However, the opening is there for them to gradually move the ball forward. That makes the dream closer than close. For the key Somaliweyn demand has been fulfilled. You need to get to educate urself about the stipulation of the Somaliweyn policy as regard to the occupied lands.

Yes Drawish fought the good fight to the end. And yes their stiff resistence compelled the colonialists to excersice a self-enforced policy of restricting their visibility in the urban centers of the country. However, the fact remains that we as country remained under the mercy of the white men until 60's. On the other hand, 1977 war is complete defeat and the sources of top brass rebellion (good excuse of one interest group) against the strong man Inna Siyad Barre. In any case awoowe I'm not selling us off. Today Habasha is inside Somalia killing and maiming Somalis in the full glare of the whole world. Jew that buddy. Waving the good flag from the comfort of ur house is commendable. However that is hardly a concellation to the fighting forces as they don't read these forums. My man if you are really for the war at least do something about it. Send money, go pick ur mindi and join their ranks at the front. They sure can use your support today. Talk is cheap awoowe.
-
You sure can talk the talk. The question is can you walk the walk. Me I hate to disappoint u young man but you seem to be looking the world through the rear mirror ala 2pac lol. I'm a killer kinda sh*t haha. Listen kidos the only beef between Somalia and Ethiopia is Killinka Shanaad and if we reach a reasonable resolution I think we would be able to save a great deal of energy and wealth. Today they are the aggressive because we are simply a pushover. We are wounded bird unable to fly to the safe treetop. Add that the fact that we are divided (for whatever reason it doesn't matter) and Melex and his gangs have this big room open in front of them for exploitation. First get ur behind covered and then talk about what the future of horn of Africa would be like sixteen trs from now.

Somali Friend, I stand corrected. Inna Yussuf is right on this score. I have just checked the constitution and indeed Article 39 of the constitution agrees with you and the old man. Greater Somalia is closer than close. What's left is having Somalia that once existed recuparate and recover from the self-inflicted wound. Me, My man. A history lesson for you. My fav poet Inna Abdille Hassan had lost the struggle. Somalia remained under European colonists' rule some 40 years after his death. Drawish as brave as they were, they had suffered a devastating defeat. One thing you can be proud of is the fact that great Sayid refused to take orders from the white man. In that regard he was a great man worthy of our solute. Never forget though the man killed more Somalis than all the colonialists combined have killed. Forward the clock and come to 1977. Again we have lost that war and suffered a humiliating defeat under the Habasha's hands with the Cuban and Soviet backers. I can't help but qoute Marley's great exhortations and i paraphrase rise fallen fighters and rise and take ur stand again. He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day. The wisdom here is pick ur fights, retreat if you must, never drop the ball. Brown, You didn't get it did u? Of course today I'm rooting for my fellow brothers. I pray that they win the battle. Fight the good fight, take a firm stand, defend ur spot but also play the game in the other front and accept the peace effort advanced by other interested parties. My man we are in short supply and we don't have many friends in the region. If peace is possible it is in our interest methinks. Stop the war by accepting the talks in Khartoum. If TFG refuses flatly then we at least tried that route and the only option left will be in la harjado.
