She wouldn’t let me talk though. It was all about Jesus and how he saved us by shedding his blood for us. I listened attentively and I was polite and respectful. Finally, she asked me about what my thoughts on Christianity are. I said that as Muslims we believe in Jesus as a prophet and his true followers as people of the book. I told her how I’m skeptical about the concept of “original sin†and the concept of “trinity†and the idea of Almighty, Omnipotent God putting Himself in a position to be crucified by mere mortals. I got her thinking. She tried to explain but she realized that she wasn’t making any sense. Finally, she said that it’s getting late and she can't think straight but she will get back to me next Friday with answers if I don’t mind coming back there. Now, my gut hunch is that she will bring her preacher with her next Friday but I’m not sure if I wanna deal with preacher. Tamina, I didn't mean to hijack the topic had to share that incident.
