Puntland Flag and Coat of Arms approved today by Legislative!

Ayoub, That is the horse’s mouth, mate; the old man is clear as one could be, and unlike you I did not detect any discrepancies or inconsistencies in his narrative, and whilst, in the past, I got a wisp of others' claims to have penned the lyrics, as you seem to be supporting, one has to suspend one’s presumptions in order to get fed, or de-cleansed of earlier spins, if one is to get down to the core of it all. Like you, I listened to some of the oldies you mentioned speak to the matter, but why listen to a third party when herein the horse’s mouth is being had. See if you could watch the video one more time, only this time, suspend all previously held presumptions, difficult I know, but try all the same. And then again, as you said, “Allah knows best”, Till then, -
My dear ‘ina fuusta madhan riix’, You started with the name calling mate, did not you? so have the skin for it, and do not complain now, all right, Now, as noted earlier, we shall wait the old Xiin to return before I were to offer further elucidation on the matter; in meantime, if you wish to engage in real political discourse, let us do so, and refrain from the name-calling, shall we? If not, then ‘adkayso’? An old adage springs to mind, and you really must pay attention to these things if you wish to further engage, ‘ama afeef hore lahow, ama adkaysigeed yeelo’ or something along those lines, but then again, you do not seem to want either, do you mate? which is indeed the tragedy in your case, And in all probabilities, you are more like a disorientated toddler in a bit of ‘heehaab’ mode, who does not know what he wants - what is one to do with you now? Now, do not spoil the man’s thread with your usual ‘cal’ and ‘mal', and show some courtesy, and stay focused, will you? Addendum: On the issue of comparison between the '3 habros of iidheh-land' clan politics with that of the 'odayaal of Puntland, and the security situation of Galkacyo, or that of Burco which was just placed under curfew today, we shall come to those issues, but in the meantime let us settle the one at hand, shall we, and you might learn one or 2 things along the way, for as poorly informed you indeed come across. Till then,
-
And whilst we await Xiin to return from his ‘quud cun’ trip, let me add: do not make the mistake of equating Punt’s internal politics to that of 'iidheh-land' with its 3 'habros' and their ‘koron’ in the name of Riyaale, will you? for doing so shall exhibit your ineptness of public polity in that region. Till then,

My dear Mr. Oodweyne, I completely disagree with your take, or shall I say your friends’ take of the political goings of Punt, for it simplifies the political conundrum of the said regions, but before I were to do the honours in informing you to that effect, I shall let Xiin return from his ‘quud cun’ and speak to the matter – I’ve got to dash to a meeting. And if anything, Cadde is more of an ally to Faroole than not, Till then,

Somaliland to sign $700 Million deal with Bollore Africa Logistics.
miles-militis replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
It is indeed a good development so long as the benefactors are the people of Somaliland, tho’ it appears in long extension our neighbours are the benefactors, or so it appears, unless of course Oodwayne has inside intelligence with which he concludes otherwise. "We think we can help Ethiopia. The Ethiopian government is very interested and we have the right experience in Africa to offer services on this new corridor." Asamara seems to be on the scene with competition too. So, what is Riyaale to do to make certain Berbera gets the loot? "We have been working on this for around 18 months and we are starting to get international support, but it's certainly a very difficult project," said Lafont. "In due time Eritrea may open itself to the world and that would provide Ethiopia with an outlet at Asmara, but that is not a problem for us. A country the size of Ethiopia easily justifies three sea ports." Till then, -

Well Xiin, If you put it that way, then we are all from Somaliland, are we not mate? but do not tell Ibti I said that. Ngonge - you are a brave one, mate with 'haasaawe' in Qaloocan and Qardho ;--) -
Xiin, I thought you were a tad bit more acquainted with the political goings of ardu Somal, incl. Punt; this is a case of Faroole being fed a dose of his own medicine; what, you might ask that drug be? If you recall some years ago, the downturn of Punt started with Faroole and Xaabsade swearing to dismantle the state as we have known it, and one could argue they managed to do just that, albeit a life-saving rod was thrown in its direction with the departure of Cadde and arrival of Faroole; or so many thought. And now with the passing of the 'shahrul casal', comes the doldrums. With Sool gone in Xaabsade’s udder conveniently suckling his current company’s dry tits and temporarily waving the secessionist flag till the day comes (alla yaw u sheega), Cadde was man enough to have kept Nugaal in the fold with Mudug, as ever, thinly hanging on a chad courtesy of Cadde’s negligence and naiveté, but now you have Bari afloat and Sanaag glued on to Ilkajir’s trunk, tho’ seemingly to Punt’s. And besides, the synthetic façade and the silhouette funfare about Faroole’s ascension to the throne, the honeymoon period, which came to an end with the beheading of Seefta-banaanka (the last man standing of the old guards), has given birth to a still-born child. Further, there are Al-shabaab elements of Punt native at work, but their threat is far less than that of others. And I do not include Cadde or Gaagaab in the mix. So, all in all, one could argue, Punt is at a crossroads: do or die, as it were? And the question is, is Faroole the man to save the day. I, for one, am rooting for him with confidence in his recent endeavours, albeit could hardly overlook his past, unpleasant record, but then again, it is the unknown that the unknowns know not that which worries me? Addendum: And let me further add, PIS in not the problem, for it was devised to strike a blow into the hearts of the Islamists and a fine job of that, it had done and continues to do. The hoopla one hears of its being the root cause of the problem is emanating from the dowdy Islamists in quest of the general public’s sympathy. Till then,

What else could one do should one is caught with one's hand in the cookie jar ;--); besides, it was meant to be a compliment, and now we are in trouble, The beauty of the flag is in its Somaliness, without any regard for claims of ownership and/or originality, but the minute the discussion descends into that sphere, it looses its Somaliness and becomes a Somali. Till then, -

My dear Ibtisam, Why must we regurgitate these fallacies? The Somali flag was by the late ina Cawaale Liibaan, which is where the flag got its nickname ‘Cawaale’ in reference to its originator. He was from Mudug. The Somali national song ‘Soomaaliyey toos’ was created by 'mucallim' Cali Mire Cawaale, a sole ranger from Sool, whose last name incidentally happens to be 'Cawaale'. So, my dear Ibtisam, why in god’s name should you choose to believe in such fallacies that these were the works of Somalis from Somaliland? * by the way, may I suggest you read the history of SYL and SNL. And whilst at it, just congratulate reer Puntland for their flag, and let them be; And for those of us still very fond of the good old blue, embrace it we shall, and so be we shall; Addendum: And indeed the late Cabdillahi Qarshe had spun 'Qolabaa calankeedu' historic song. Till then, -
