There are both theoritical and practical incongruities in the "Democracy" concept, from a purely Islamic point of view, if we brush aside concerns advanced by proponents of other systems such as pure "Meritocracy", a system of a government or another organization wherein appointments are made and responsibilities are given based on demonstrated talent and ability. Closer to Western realities, "Ploutocracy" (power for the better-off or producers), is epitomized by the obscene financial requirements of US campaigns or a litany of highly controversial legislations (an euphemism indeed!), in terms of Public Health or Environment, in the USA (not even mentioning the plight of minorities, ever-rising, intolerable local inequalities, promotion of a most pernicious World Trade system, recurrent opposition to global access to generic drugs & essential medicines etc). Thus, Islamic Governance includes the immense advantages of "meritocracy" without its feared excesses and subjectivity, since Ulamas are required to regulate the Ummah's internal or external affairs according solely to their degree of Cilm or Islamic learning as well as Taqwa or Piety (siyaasa or Public Affairs management is, after all, a mere portion of Fiqh or Islamic Jurisprudence). They are to be obeyed because (as long as) their commands are firmly established on Aayahs or authentic Ahaadiths, with Ijmaa' or consensus of Ulamas being another foundation of Islamic Usool Al-Fiqh (Principles of Jurisprudence, ie Foundations of Islamic Law), in marked contrast with Democracy, whereby laymen legislate and interpret an artificially sanctified constitution in their Parliamentary cult. In that light, Democracy is but a modern version of Shirk or idolatry, whose worship could place one beyond the fold of Islam, or unmitigated submission to Allah and his Shariah, who alone deserves to be glorified, loved and obeyed without any reservation whatsoever (a quintessential condition of one's Islam or surrender to him). Simultaneously, in practical terms, the underlying philosophy of Democracy, ie "one man-one vote", is here totally disqulified as clearly contravening to Islamic Principles, not least that of the preeminence of Cilm or Islamic Knowledge, so abundantly stressed in the Qur'aan. In other words, we have no choice but to follow our most learned and pious, whatever their origin, race or socio-economic condition ( emancipated slaves, many of them blacks, were the Prophet's companions, Ulamas or Governors of such a prestigious location as Holy Macca). Of course, the Qur'aan also stress "As-Shuura" or consultation, but this is again within well-delimited confines; while Medical or Military Experts may advise the Ulamas in precise matters (eg: toxicology or defence technology), this hardly implies that a mother struggling to even read adequately the Qur'aan should be automatically consulted on the same level simply bacause she happened to be born locally, let alone being pushed to "campaign", since it is a well-known Sunnah that authority was conferred to those that never asked for it in the first place! With much of the previous clarifications being basic Islamic knowledge as well as pure common sense, is it not therefore akin to incoherence, if not sheer hypocrisy, to question or seek to rewrite essential components of our Aqeedah (Islamic Creed), when one hardly believes in it, to begin with?

Today, Shirk continues to mutate, taking new forms that most of devout followers of Islam are not suspecting, such as the Idol of Democracy. How many "Muslims" suspect that Democracy is a new form of Major Shirk?(by Nur) Indeed, the quest for "Career & Power/Prestige" at the individual level, as well as "Democracy & Modernity" at the community level, are diverting far too many from Tawheed and Shukr (respectively, the Affirmation/Practice of Allah's unicity, and Gratitude towards Allah). Through any excerpt of our daily discourse throughout Muslim land, "progress" is invariably to be obtained from "Economic Reforms & Technology", alongside "Human or Women's Rights" etc; yet we all too readily prefer to overlook that each and every of these oft-abused slogans are epitomes of subjectivity, vicious minefields for our masses. Placing our faith in Materialism and their apostles, in an habit of supreme ingratitude (NGOs and other institutions of whatever is called "International Community"), we are left wandering confused and endlessly frustrated, ignoring that even human theories in hard sciences such as Algebra and Mechanics are only but temporal superficialities, let alone ersatzs of knowledge such as Economics, with no agreement on the most basic definitions or concepts (whether it be GDP mesaurement or Inflation' causes) Yet, to every sphere of our existence, from Personal Hygiene to Public Affairs management (or Siyaasa, from the root verb saasa: "to look after the affairs of the people"), correspond an associated portion of our Fiqh, with numerous Saheeh Ahaadiths and Aayahs. If we compare the ancients to our ummah today, the parallels are many, ignorance is enhanced when we study the Quraan as a narration of old stories ( Asaateerul awaliin), instead of a manual to keep our feet firm on Siraatul Mustaqeem through Tawheed. A reading of the Quran with Tadabbur can vividly show the similarities of this Ummah's ways to that of the Children of Yacqub and Nasaaraa, the Christians, two nations who went astray from the straight path, and on whose heels we are willingly following even to an aligator's cave. (by Nur) Thus are we led astray, indeed, through recurrent Shirk and Ingratitude despite so many clear evidences, illustrated in the Qur'aan with Banu Israel, whose materialistic follies included their worship of the golden calf and asking their prophet Musa to see Allah, as soon as they were rescued from Pharaon, drowned with his army in front of their very eyes (our timeless and preserved Qur'aan being itself the greatest current miracle)...

"Kitaab al Tawhid" from Sh Muhammad AbdulWahab is explained here, in Somali: Nasiixa.com (his "Usool At-thalaatha", I misquoted above, is also a very concise yet great classic in Islamic Creed or Aqeedah) Indeed, a timeless, life-changing masterpiece, with unchallenged reliability (based solely on Authentic ahaadiths and Aayaahs), that must absolutely be studied seriously in these time of widespread trials, where Tawhid is constantly attacked from every direction alongside its adherents. It used to be available, translated and distributed by Islamic organizations back home, and is one of the rare human work that thoroughly influence when we ponder over its Sahih Ahadeeths and Aayaahs; Alhamdulilah, now our brothers in the West, too, have no excuse to be distracted away from their most vital capital, ie Tawhid! PS: it can be bought online and in several langages, notably from well-known Darussalam, or its associates.

Sorry, I didn't take time to edit it after copying it, but disregard the above clip with nasheed (frivolous) and these ahadiths, among those above, need to be verified as well as classified, if relevant: The first matter that the slave will be brought to acount for on the day of judgement is the prayer. If it is sound, then the rest of his deeds will be sound. And if it is bad, then the rest of his deeds will be bad" The Prophet (pbuh) also said: The one who disdains the prayers will receive Fifteen punishments from Allah. Six punishments in this lifetime, Three while dying, Three in the grave & Three on the Day of Judgment. THE SIX PUNISHMENTS OF LIFE: 1. Allah takes away blessings from his age (makes his life misfortunate) 2.Allah does not accept his plea (Dua's) 3.Allah erases the features of good people from his face. 4.He will be detested by all creatures on earth. 5.Allah does not award him for his good deeds. (No thawab) 6.He will not be included in the Dua's of good people. THE THREE PUNISHMENTS WHILE DYING: 1. He dies humiliated. 2. He dies hungry. 3. He dies thirsty. Even if he drinks the water of all seas he will still be thirsty. THE THREE PUNISHMENTS IN THE GRAVE: 1. Allah tightens his grave until his chest ribs come over each other. 2. Allah pours on him fire with embers. 3. Allah sets on him a snake called "the brave", "the bold" which hits Himfrom morning until afternoon for leaving Fajr prayer, from the afternoon until Asr for leaving Dhuhr prayer and so on. With each strike he sinks 70 yards under the ground. THREE PUNISHMENTS ON THE DAY OF JUDGMENT: 1. Allah sends who would accompany him to hell pulling him on the face. 2. Allah gives him an angry look that makes the flesh of his face fall down. 3. Allah judges him strictly and orders him to be thrown in hell. THOSE WHO DO NOT SAY THEIR PRAYERS OF: FAJAR: the glow of their face is taken away. ZOHAR: the blessing of their income is taken away. ASAR: the strength of their body is taken away. MAGHRIB: they are not benefacted by their children. ISHA: the peace of their sleep is taken away. Nevertheless, we should aim to perfect our Salats, given that their importance can not be overstated, with the help of most authentic works such as "Sifatu Salat" de Sh. Albaani (available as audio on nasiixa.com etc)...

Allah The Exalted said { I created not the jinns and mankind except to worship me } (Soorah 51:56). {Verily, the prayers keeps one from the great sins and evil deeds} (Al-Ankabuut:45) {And those who guard their Salat (prayers) well, such shall dwell in the gardens (i.e., Paradise) honored} (V.70:34,35} { and perform As-Salat (i.e. Iqamat-as-Salat). Verily, As-Salat (the prayer) prevents from Al-Fahsha (great sins of every kind, unlawful sexual intercourse, etc.) and Al-Munkar (disbelief, polytheism, and every kind of evil wicked deed.)} (V.29:45) {So woe unto those performers of Salat (prayers) (hypocrites). Those who delay their Salat (prayer) from their stated fixed time.}. (V.107:4,5) {Successful indeed are the believers. Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness.} (V.23:1,2) {Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salat (prayers) (i.e. made their Salat (the prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them, or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times,) and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell.}.(V.19:59) Allaah also says, concerning the plight of the disbelievers on the Day of Judgement, that they will be asked by the Believers: { "What led you into the Hell-fire?" They will say: "We were not of those who prayed." } (Soorah 74:42-43). The Prophet (pbuh) said: “What do you think if one of you had a river running past his door and he bathed in it five times a day. Would any dirt remain on him?” They said, “No dirt would remain on him.” He said, “Likewise is the similitude of the five daily prayers, Allah obliterates thereby the sins.” (Agreed upon) “ The covenant (which distinguished) between us and them is prayer, so whoever abandoned it became a kafir.” “Between a man and kufr and shirk is the abandonment of prayer.” (Muslim) "The first matter that the slave will be brought to acount for on the day of judgement is the prayer. If it is sound, then the rest of his deeds will be sound. And if it is bad, then the rest of his deeds will be bad" The Prophet (pbuh) also said: The one who disdains the prayers will receive Fifteen punishments from Allah. How could we better spend time than learning our way to salvation, ie Tawhid (Allah's unicity), this Ramadan, with respected Ulamas, in our local masjid or from trusted websites? "Kitaab al Tawhid" from Sh Muhammad AbdulWahab, courtesy of Islamicweb, beliefs section. That central work is explained here by Sh. Maxamad Cabdi Umal: http://www.aflax.net/audio/duruus/umal/kitaabu-tawxid/ Here is Usool athis other classical introduction to Aqeedah (Islamic belief or creed): PS: Tawhid in Islam or submission (solely to Allah and in all spheres of our existence), encompass much more than usually thought and need careful study, so to avoid labeling hastily other muslims as well but remain in the middle path...

He is affected by waswaas concerning purity Many thanks to you for helping people to understand Islam as it was enjoined by Allaah. I am suffering with the problem of washing a great deal when I do wudoo’, such that I need more than two hours to relieve myself and do wudoo’, which is a waste of time and effort and is driving me crazy. I even went to a psychiatrist about this problem. If I sit in a place where someone else has been, I have to brush all my clothes until I feel pure and ready to pray. I am suffering a great deal with this problem. I hope that you can answer me and tell me the name of a book I can read or a du’aa’ I can recite to rid myself of this problem. Praise be to Allaah. We ask Almighty Allaah, by His beautiful names and sublime attributes, to heal you from this problem. It should be noted that this is a kind of psychological disease that is known as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which refers to thoughts that dominate a person in some ways and persist with him even though he knows that they are mistaken and are not correct. This may be dealt with in several ways: 1 – Thinking positively of Allaah, making a great deal of du’aa’, and beseeching Allaah to heal you from this waswaas. 2 – Getting used to ignoring these waswaas and not paying any attention to them. You can put a suitable amount of water in a vessel, and do not make wudoo’ directly from the tap any more; make yourself do wudoo’ from this vessel only. Tell yourself that there is no other water available except what is in this vessel, and make do with what it contains. Do not wash any part of the body more than three times. Even if the Shaytaan tells you that your wudoo’ is not valid, this is just a whisper from the Shaytaan and does not mean anything. 3 – The same applies to brushing your clothes after sitting in a place where someone else has sat. You should ignore this waswaas and force yourself not to brush your clothes. You should train yourself in this manner no matter what the waswaas is. 4 – You should remember the fiqhi principle which is that what is certain cannot be altered by something doubtful. If you are certain of something, you should not pay attention to any doubts after that. If you have done something then do not pay attention to any doubts that come along after doing it. If you have washed your hand, then do not pay any attention to doubts that come, even fleeting doubts, suggesting that you have not washed your hand, as Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Doubts after doing something do not matter, otherwise doubts will increase. You should not pay any attention to doubts that come after completing an act of worship, and even if a man has a lot of doubts he should not pay any attention to them. 5 – There is nothing wrong with consulting a trustworthy psychiatrist who can prescribe some useful treatment for you. 6 – Please see question no. 10160 and 11449. For more information please read Ighaathat al-Lahfaan by Ibn al-Qayyim and Talbees Iblees by Ibn al-Jawzi, which both discuss how the Shaytaan toys with people by means of waswaas, and how one may remedy that. We ask Allaah to set your affairs and those of all the Muslims straight. Islam Q&A

It is not essential to rub when doing wudoo’ and ghusl Is it essential to rub the body with the hand when doing ghusl following a wet dream, or it is sufficient to pour the water over the body?. Praise be to Allaah. It is not essential to rub the body when doing wudoo’ or ghusl, according to the majority of scholars. It is sufficient to make sure that the water reaches all parts of the body in the case of ghusl. Maalik (may Allaah have mercy on him) differed with regard to this point. Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Our view is that rubbing the parts of the body when doing ghusl and wudoo’ is Sunnah, not obligatory. If he pours water over himself and makes it reach every part without touching it with his hand, or he immerses himself in a large amount of water, or he stands beneath a downspout or in the rain with the intention of doing ghusl, and it reaches his hair and his skin, this is acceptable for wudoo’ and ghusl. This is the view of all the scholars, except Maalik and al-Muzani, who stipulated that rubbing the skin is essential for ghusl and wudoo’ to be valid. Our companions quoted as evidence the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to Abu Dharr (may Allaah be pleased with him): “When you find water, let it touch your skin,” but he did not tell him to do anything more than that. This is a saheeh hadeeth, and there are many similar reports in the hadeeth. End quote from al-Majmoo’ (2/214). Ibn Qudaamah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: He does not have to pass his hand over his body when doing ghusl or wudoo’, if he is certain or thinks it most likely that the water has reached all of his body. This is the view of al-Hasan, al-Nakha’i, al-Sha’bi, Hammaad, al-Thawri, al-Awzaa’i, al-Shaafa’i, Ishaaq and ashaab al-ra’i. Maalik said: It is obligatory for him to pass his hand over whatever he can reach. Something similar was stated by Abu’l-‘Aaliyah. ‘Ata’ said: With regard to the one who is junub pouring water all over himself, that is not sufficient, rather he should do ghusl properly, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “till you wash your whole body” [al-Nisa’ 4:43], and the word aghtasala (translated here as “wash your whole body”) refers to one who rubs himself. And because ghusl is purification from impurity, it is essential to pass the hands over the body, as in tayammum. And there is the report which was narrated by Umm Salamah who said: I said: “O Messenger of Allaah, I have braided hair, do I have to do it every time I do ghusl from janaabah and menstruation?” He (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to her, “Rather it is sufficient for you to pour water over your head three times, then pour water all over your body, and you will be taahir (pure).” Narrated by Muslim. Because it is an obligatory ghusl, it is not essential to pass the hands over the body as in the case of washing off an impure substance. What they have said about ghusl meaning to pass the hand over something is not sound, because the word ghasala is used in Arabic to refer to washing a vessel, even if one does not wipe it with the hand. And the reason why in tayammum we are commanded to wipe with the hand is because it is purification using dust and it is not possible to make the dust reach the skin without passing the hand over it. End quote from al-Mughni (1/290). And Allaah knows best.

If a "Muslim" denies, or refuses to accept a ruling Allah's judgment or His His Messengers Sunnah, does that contradict with Tawheed Al Haakimiyah? (which stands for the unification of legislation)? I thought that was an educative rhetorical question for how could someone confirm his submission to Allah's, and especially his all-encompassing Shariah, as Islam means submission, yet recognize any other legislative powers to mere mortals, with their whims, conditioning and prejudices, necessarily subjects to temporal as well as cultural influences?

If a sensible and consensual brother like Nur is the chief Editor, then this would have great credibility and others could be selected to assist him as a unified voice for all reasonable Somalis, a kind of think-tank that can serve as a lobbying/PR platform as well, is badly needed. Probably, it is hard for anyone except the most pious to be objective, the rest could only deepen the existing mistrust and our collective tragedy...

Ardayda Jaamacadda Hargeysa oo is-hortaagay Xuska Maalinta Muusigga Adduunka ee Somaliland Isniin, 23 June 2008 (HOL): Ardayda Jaamacada Hargeysa ayaa is-hortaagay Munaasibad la doonayay in lagu xuso Maalinta Muusigga Adduunka oo loo qoondeeyay in lagu qabto Hool Jaamacadda Hargeysa. Munaasibaddan oo ay soo abaabushay Wasaaradda Dhaqanka iyo Dalxiiska Somaliland, ayaa baaqatay ka dib markii ay Ardayda Jaamacaddu Isu-soo bax salmi ah oo ka dhacay isla Jaamacadda Hargeysa ku hor-joogsadeen Xuskan. Iyaga oo ardaydu rafacay ama guray Kuraastii Hoolka Jaamacadda, isla markaana fujiyay Sawiradii loogu talo galay Munaasibaddan. “Waxaanu diidanahay oo aanu ka soo horjeednaa wixii dhaqankeena iyo diinteena ka soo horjeeda. Waxaanan leeyahay waxan oo kale yaan loogu soo marmarsoonin diinteena, hana nalaga illaaliyo waxaan shareecada Islaamka waafaqsanayn.” Sidaa waxa yidhi, Maxamed Ismaaciil Faarax, oo ka mid ah Ardayda Jaamacadda ee is-hortaagay Xuskan. “Dhimashaanu ka xignaa in Hoolka Jaamacada lagu qabto, maalinta muusiga, mana ogolin, dawladduna naguma xukumi karto, sharciga Xukuumadda Rayaalena ka Illaahay ayaa ka wayn, oo ma ogola Muusigga” Waxa isna sidaa yidhi Maxamed Maxamuud Raage oo ka mid ah ardayda Jaamacadda. Wasiirka Wasaaradda Dhaqanka iyo Dalxiiska Somaliland Cabdirisaaq Waaberi Rooble, oo Weriyayaal Saxaafadda ahi kula kulmeen Hotel Hargeisa Club, oo ay Wasaaraddu u wareejisay, kuna qabatay Xafladda Xuska Maalinta Muusigga Adduunka, ayaa sheegay in ay markii hore Maamulka Jaamacadda Hargeysa u ogolaadeen inay Xuska Maalinta Muusigga Adduunka ku qabtaan Hoolka Jaamacadda, balse markii ay shalay galab ahayd inay Xafladdu bilaabanto, ay la kulmeen ardayda gadoodsan, loona sheegay inaan Xuska lagu qabanaynin Hoolka, oo ay ardaydu Imtixaan ku jirto. “Qolada Jaamacadda Hoolka waanu waydiisanay dhawr cisho ka hor, waanay noo ogolaadeen oo namay odhan Ardaydu Imtixaanaad bay ku jiraan. Sidaa darteed, baananu u qaadanay inay Ardaydu fasax ku jiraan.” Ayuu yidhi Wasiirku. Waxaanu intaa ku daray oo uu yidhi, “Laakiin, imika markaanu ogaanay in ay Imtixaan ku jiraan Ardaydu waa nagan go’aanka deg-dega ah qaadanay, ee Xafladii ka soo wareejinay, waxaanuna go’aansanay inaanu Xafladdii Xuska Muusigga Adduunka ku qabano halkan (Hargeisa Club).” Wasiirku wuxuu sheegay in Xuskani iyo Xafladda loo qabtay ay tahay mid salka ku haysa Hidaha iyo dhaqanka Umadda. “Xafladani waa Xafladan dhaqameed, oo ku salaysan wixii aynu hiddaha iyo dhaqanka u lahayn, oo qolo waliba caalamka waxay leedahay dhaqan iyo hide u gaar ah. Markaa xaflada anagu aanu qabanaynay taas ayay ahayd, isla markaana waxay ahayd mid waafaqsan diinteena Islaamka” ayuu yidhi Wasiirku. Wasiirku wuxuu ka garaabay inay Wasaarad ahaan khalad sameeyeen, isla markaana aanay ahayn inay Xafladda u qoondeeyaan in lagu qabto Jaamacadda. “Ardaydu waxoogaa Imtixaan ah bay ku jireen, anaga laftayaduna markaa khalad baanu leenahay oo Arday imtixaan ku jirta inaanu Xaflad dul geyno ma habboonayn.. Marka hore ayaan agaasinkayagu sax ahayn, oo cudur-daarkaan sheeganayaa waxa weeyaan kamaan warhaynin, ee waxaan moodaayay in ay Ardaydu fasax ku jirto kamanaanaan fiirsan” ayuu yidhi Wasiirku. Maamulka Jaamacadda Hargeysa, oo markii hore ogolaanshaha siiyay Wasaaradda sida uu Wasiirku sheegay, ayaa haddana Warqad ay ku amrayso in la joojiyo Xafladdaa ku dhejisay Gidaarka Jaamacadda. Sidaa darteed, mar Wasiirka la waydiiyay su’aal nuxurkeedu ahaa, sababta ay Wasaarad ahaan ugu hoggaansami waayeen Waraaqda ogaysiiska ah ee Gidaarka Maamulka Jaamacaddu ku dhejiyay, ayaa waxa uu ku jawaabay, “Kolay bora-bagaando la buunbuuniyay ayaa jirta, oo Masaajida ayay wadaadadu Jimcihii dhawayd ka sheegeen. Markaa waxaan leeyahay anagu Wasaarad ahaan waxaanu qabanaynay waa wax dhaqankeena ku salaysan. Sidoo kalena waxaanu rabnaa inaanu TV-yada ku soo ban-dhigno, si dadweynuhu u daawado, ugana garsooro waxa ay tahay (Xafladdu).” Maamulka Jaamacadda Hargeysa, oo Wasiirku sheegay in ay iyaga ogolaanshaha ka heleen in Xuska lagu qabto Hoolka Jaamacadda, oo wax laga waydiiyay arrintan, ayaa ka gaabsaday inuu faahfaahin ka bixiyo. “Hadda waxaanu ka odhanaynaa ma jirto arrintan, sidaad u arkaysaan ayaanu u arkaynaa, berri (maanta) ayaanu ka hadlaynaa hadii illaahay yidhaahdo.” Sidaa waxa yidhi Guddoomiyaha Jaamacada Hargeysa Prof. Cabdi Haybe Cilmi. It is certainely not going towards humanity interests, and never did so, let alone inside national borders in any given example (justice and long-term sustainability). Just review American history and current social situation and health policies, to begin with (you will still have to take into account its lobbies, political participation traditions, corporations, and allies). Even, if through a most improbable miracle, a "democratic" USA replaced the current WASP plutocracy, how would "democracies" converge and adopt a unified ethical yardstick to measure "progress", let alone act accordingly? PS: apparently, most of the environmental ravages are irreversible and time seems to be running out...

Asc wr wb Shirwac and all. It has been shown that Blue is tiring for the eyes while Green is the most relaxing visible wavelenght or color, hence it could diminish the IT damage to our eyes (not surprising given that Allah created plants and vegetation in that color). Brother Nur's other advises could be found put into practice in other top general websites and Islamic ones, which need to be closely studied. Of course, I'll be more than happy to help at my modest level alongside more experienced brothers (content management, proofreading etc). Most interestingly, we have been promised some exceptional material such as an abridged Qur'anic Tafsir by a Sheikh in Hargeysa and other mouth-watering audio materials that need prior careful checking and approval (there is also already an excellent short explanation of Ajrumiyah, a Short & Straightforward Arabic Grammar Classic, available on tapes)... PS: there are many extremely useful references freely available in libraries about content management and websites optimization (user-friendliness, readability etc)!

Puntland President to meet Guelleh of Djibouti to finalise trade agreement
Abu-Salman replied to Emperor's topic in Politics
Good for Puntland to work for peace, stability and trade with all the countries in the Horn and Yemen. The visit also shows support for Djibouti in it's time of need. This is Somali brotherbood at it's best. Djibouti is to be commended for working hard for the restoration of the Somalia state. Well said, brother Peace Action. What people always forget is that each and everyone of us has at least some grandparents from other Somali regions and the even the biggest neo-colonialist powers work together. Again, President Guelleh is a pious man who makes Somali unity a priority. Inshallah, soon Sheikh Sharif will lead reconciled Somalis from Zeila to Kismayo. May Allah help all those struggling for his sake... -
Ngonge: Have you heard of the story of the Jews and how they were lost for 40 years? That's where the word came from and it refers to people living outside their land because of circumstances out of their control. Actually, the jews wandered around Mount Sinai for forty years because of their disobedience, that punishment is also confirmed in the Qur'aan (they breached their covenant after having being liberated from the Pharaon injustices). As for "Diaspora", the term was used when jews fled, mainly towards Europe and around the Medtierranea sea, as a consequence of the Roman Invasion (around 2000 years ago, but the greek word may have been used earlier it seems, ie in the Greek translation of the old testament).

Aamiin, Expect the Atheist, "Converts" or other secular "Muslims" to cry "terrorism"...

As other Arab brothers, Qatar was always very helpful in many ways, not least by denouncing the Ethiopian Invasion at the UN Council back in 2006 as well as by airing reports of both the Oga-den and Somalia Humanitatian Crisis and Atrocities, described as the World's Worsts (the reason why Ethiopia added it its "Terrorist" list, alongside Norway etc). With the largest proven World gas reserves, Qatar is expected to grow at unprecedented rates like other Arab states, while taking profit of skyrocketing oil prices (it is allegedly a funder of Eritrea and has been mediating between Djibouti and Asmara, whose soldiers briefly ventured into a tiny stretch of arid land at the northern frontier, before being pushed back). Through close cooperation, it also assisted both Somalis and Djibouti in so many ways, palnning new projects: Qatari Dias Massive Investment Expected in Djibouti PS: the latest theatrical skirmishes by triggered by Eritran defections to Djibouti (Eritrea is vulnerable from many sides and share the Djiboutian goal of an independent Somalia), could hardly threaten the planned giant projects as it is expected the Djiboutian army will only be more sucessful through build-up inshallah (it was an easy win with around 100 Eritrean prisoners taken, not mentioning defecting officers and an excursion of 8 kms into Eritrean territory)...

First of all, any "agreement" should have unequivocally stated Shariah as the law of our Muslim land and condemned in the strongest terms the atrocities and deliberate starving of civilians by the Warlords and their Ethiopian sponsors, calling for investigations into the world worst humanitarian crisis, as widely requested. Yet, the biggest joke is the UN rushing in "Peackeepers", moreover from "Friendly States", and in sufficient numbers, all within 4 months, as implied in the "Djibouti Peace Agreement"! What was the point of the countless sacrifices (as well as the centuries-old resistance) if Ethiopia get both a face-saving device and a pretext for its occupation, albeit a surreal one that will hardly mitigate its losses?

What does being "poor" or "uneducated" have to do with basic decency and self-respect, let alone morality? Many lost souls in the West are relatively well-off and highly "educated", in the sense of collecting degrees, likewise for Ayaan Hersi and its lot. In fact, acculturation is much more common among that "integrated" group, while being strongly correlated with cultural inferiority complexes! The only real education is the one that at the very least emphasizes and nurtures personal self-restraint; that is waht matters...
