Walle these people are really pathetic. It's 2013. Mogadishu is swamped with people from Bay and Bakool. There are many Bantu Somalis there. It is filled with Somali Arabs in Xamar Weyne District. My relatives from Waqooyi are there. There are Turkish and Chinese and EU people there walking around. How is it a one clan city? It is the most diverse city in Somalia. Do these people really think the people of Mogadishu and the President are as obsessed as clan as they are? Their mind is stuck in 1991. Stay stuck there. Mogadishu is going forward.

So we have Reer Muqdisho residents in their thousands supporting Farmaajo in the streets of Xamar and a few months later, morons with a clan agenda screaming "warlord president" at the top of their lungs outside venues in Minneapolis and London. The evidence is all there folks; we clearly see who the enemies of Somalia really are. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamuud, you are doing a fine job and the sane ones support you. Put your absolute trust in the Almighty God and he will steer you and the country we love to the right direction. Thank you Mr. President.

There needs to be a stronger Eastern World bloc (with Russia included). The time for division is gone. They have a collective interest. They need to work together militarily, economically and politically. Russia, India, China, Iran need to spearhead this movement.

Apophis;914993 wrote: This is why Somalis don't have a stock market. It'll crash within seconds of it going live due to "adeerkay said this" "oh it's been confirmed, my cousin saw it" and so forth. First of all, the first information was from a trusty relative who isn't your "talk out of your ***" Somali. Secondly, the second information was from a man who said this information before I told him the previous info I heard. It's not like he said "yes, yes" after I told him what I heard. That isn't the case. He said it randomly and that's when I got to think. Thirdly, it is entirely possible. It can be the reason of the UK government's decision to label Somaliland unsafe for Westerners (high positioned Shabab members could have gotten the attention of the UK. Waqooyi Shabab members have been going back home after they abandoned Mogadishu. Why the UK decision now?) Fourthly, this is Somalia. Security is lax. It would have been very easy for him to have went to Hargeisa without being spotted to begin with. You should go to Somalia and see how pathetic security is there. Fifthly, I did not say Godane is walking around the streets of Hargeisa freely and living a normal life. Just that he was spotted. Sixthly, why is it so impossible to believe Godane can be in Somaliland? Al Shabab is divided now and he was thrown out of the Emir position. He personally said Al Shabab has been defeated in December 2012 in a radio address and that Al Shabab is now relying on ambush attacks. At the moment, it is obvious that Godane is safer in Somaliland than koonfuurta now. That can't be denied. If he gets caught by SNA or AU forces in the jungles of Jubbaland, it's game over for him. Whereas SLAND officials capture him in Hargeisa, his clansmen will protect him

Ridwaan, Stop being politically correct. Blackflash is right. Toronto had how many murders last year, like 50? I am willing to bet 70%+ of those were committed by Blacks with another 10% committed by those from Latin America and the Middle East. Blacks make up the bulk of the violent crime. If they want to commit crimes, they should do white collar ones.

It's likely. A) The average Hargeisa resident doesn't know about this bounty. B) Although they are the suspected perpetrators, Al Shabab to this day did not claim those attacks on Hargeisa and Bosaso. C) Again, the average Hargeisa resident doesn't know about this bounty nor know how he even looks like. D) Somaliland has said those Al Shabab members who come back home won't be touched. Now for Godane, his clan would protect him should Somaliland officials apprehend him.

Take the black population out of Chicago or any large American city and America would be the safest country in the world. Same for Canada. If Blacks and Middle Easterners were not here, street crime would decrease by 80-90%

It can't be because a bunch of reer Waqooyi Shabab members have started to come back home. That has been happening more than a year now. It has to be something else more substantial. ... I have been told by a dhaqan celis relative in Hargeisa this week that he has personally spotted Godane in a Landcruiser being driven by 'unidentified men'. I thought this was a case of mistaken identity and respectfully refused to believe him. However, I heard from an older friend of mine that he has heard himself that Godane has made his way into Hargeisa and has been seen in the city. This got me thinking. Two different sources, it can't be a coincidence  Has anyone else heard from family or friends if Godane has been spotted?

There are western documents that say that the "USC" folk got comparable treatment to them compared to those in Puntland and Somaliland. If you don't care about the atrocities "you" have committed through Siad Barre and Morgan to us, we will shed no tears for you. Fair enough. Go ahead and erect your statues. You stay on your side, and we will stay on our side. This is the best solution.

Thousands of my kinsmen were killed in Mudug and Galgaduud from towns big and small by the Red Berets. Many of my kinsmen were killed in Hiiraan. Many of my kinsmen were killed in Banaadir. Why don't we get an apology? My father's brother was taken out of his home in Xamar, taken outside and shot to death and he was an innocent man. My father's mother's kinsmen in Bulo'barde were massacred and had their livestock destroyed by the people of Somali Galbeed who were given guns by Siad Barre AUN. These are the same reer Hiiraan who welcomed those refugees into their homes and into their lands. And they turn on them and kill them. Why don't we get any recognition for our misery that a one clan military has committed? The military became exclusively one clan after 1988-1989. Why don't we get any recognition from that criminal Morgan and his crimes he committed to my kinsmen after the toppling of Siad Barre AUN? My people will never whine and complain and that is why I love my kinsmen. We are not a people of whiners and I would not have it any other way. We do not look down on other qabiils, we regard other people as our Somali brothers and sisters and we will still wave the Somalia blue and white flag and we will wave it with our compatriots regardless of what qabiil they are. If Somalis are serious and interested in Truth and Reconciliation, me and my kinsmen will gladly support it. But if it will be some clown show and a gathering of angry people pointing their fingers on the innocent people of central and southern Somalia calling them the Somali 'Hitlers, Geobbles and Himmlers', my people will have no part of it. Respect and love is a two-way street. We are ready if you are ready to accept your own crimes.

No term price is $649.95 + tax = $734.44. Give it a couple of months, should come down. Besides buying the first build is never a good idea. Always bugs to be worked out. You won't catch me dead near Bell or those other robbing providers. I am with WIND I'll wait for the price to go down and buy it no-contract in the summer if I am still interested. It's a possibly to buy it through Mobilicity though and then take it to your mobile carrier; I've noticed they sell their phones cheaper than the other providers. The Blackberry 9900 was about $50-75 cheaper than what the others were selling it for. That's still a saving for a smart phone

I kind of shrugged it off a few weeks ago but after tuning into the LIVE Blackberry 10 show within the early part of the hour, I was quite amazed. I was a former Blackberry user until I switched to Android (Samsung) exactly this month last year. I made the decision of never going back to Blackberry but I am not so certain anymore. It looks like a great phone. If I do buy it, it won't be anytime soon though. The CEO himself said it cost $149.99 with the US providers on a 3-year contract so I am guessing it will be a $650-$700 phone without contract. It's a bit expensive, especially considering that the competitor smart phones can be bought for possibly half the price of what the Blackberry 10 might be sold for (and may be better phones) I was interested in buying the Samsung Note II (and still am) but I will keep my options open. If the Blackberry 10 is not substantially cheaper than the Note 2 it will be off my radar. It will be sold in Canada next week so it will be interesting to see how much it will be priced for.

That video was taken in north Hargeisa. They are too hardcore and extreme in their views and you can tell their anger from the nuance of their voice and their hardheadedness as well as their unwillingness to be calm when speaking on emotional matters that pertain to Somaliland. Voice opinions in a way that is not psuedo-intimidating. They are militant Somalilanders. That reporter should have taken his questions to the calm and outgoing people of south Hargeisa. They are the only sane people in Somaliland who would voice their opinions in a very appropriate manner.

Somaliland to open a diplomatic office in South Sudan
metta replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
It's unlikely South Sudan will accept it as a diplomatic office but rather a liaison office. -
Fake warning. The Brits have done this because they want to show Somaliland who is boss. Somaliland has repeatedly told the international community "no" when it came to the re-unification of Somaliland and Somalia. So Cameron's administration has decided to play dirty in the realm of international relations. This may be the first action but certainly not the last. I suspect the United Kingdom to follow the United States lead and announce within the next 60 days that they are recognizing the Mohamud administration as the legitimate representative of Somalia proper and are opening up an embassy in Xamar shortly. I also predict that Cameron will announce his government's plan on consulting with the UN and the EU on economic and political sanctions as well as the cutting off of aid to Somaliland should they continue to refuse to re-join Somalia.

Al Shabab are finished. Everyone knows that. Al Shabab only resort to hit and run attacks. They are less than 2000 rebels left. Civil war started 1991 and it ended 2013. However the general unrest started 1988 and I think it will end 2014. Al Shabab is done. They are no longer a threat anymore. They are only a threat to themselves. They have self-destructed from within. Most damage to Al Shabab was done from the inside rather than from the outside. This is a dumb organization. All Islamist organizations are dumb. They just like to fight and not use rationality. Islamist organizations never win. They don't succeed.

U.S. recognition of Somalia govt creates political storm in Somaliland
metta replied to Fiqikhayre's topic in Politics
Whether the news is true or not is besides the point. Garowe Online is the worst Somali news website to source. It's owned and operated by one of Faroole's sons. It is not a neutral website run by a politically-neutral organization. Yes, news websites and the media have their own biases but they shouldn't be tied to political leaders on such a personal level as Garowe Online is. If Romney's family owned FOX and Obama's family owned MSNBC, people would be turning to other news channels to get their information unless they want to be watching political mouthpieces and are diehard Romney or Obama supporters no matter what. -
HAG are not evil people. HAG are people of Somalinimo. In August, why did thousands of HAG support Farmaajo who is a DAG person? Tell me why. HAG are good people who believe in Somalinimo. I will tell you who is against peace and stability. The people who were protesting President Xasan Sheikh Mohamuud and his government in Minnesota last week over clan reasons. I never ever remember HAG people protesting a president who was miskeen and didn't do anything wrong at all and was not warlike or unfair. They always showed their support for him even if he didn't deserve it. Even HAG got angry at the last president in 1989. Not earlier. HAG likes to make things work. HAG are for Somalinimo. HAG are understanding HAG is for peace, admin and stability. We are the only people who go into the streets and support a person who is not part of the clan. Never in my life have I seen a DAG person do that for a HAG. Never. Its only HAG who does these things. You need to look and understand the reality my friend. HAG is your friend. HAG is not your enemy. HAG tries to unify all Somalis.
