Jeegan group visit Farmaajo high-way road in awdal.
galbeedi replied to FBISOMALIA's topic in Politics
"Wasiirka gaadiidka ayaa gaaska noogu shubay" The Awdal people are turning to be just like a cattle. how about the useless minister paying the road construction money. and these useless AWdal ministers are asking the people to build the toad, "Dawladu tabar ma leh ee waxii aan qaban karo hala qabto" There are millions of dollars sitting inside the Somaliland development fund and not penny is going to be contributed to this important road. They have to wait until the 300km Ceerigaabo road is built which will take 10 years. What do these ministeries of public works stand for if they can't even contribute 25km of road work. -
Egypt: A country that never disappoints me for never liking it
galbeedi replied to Old_Observer's topic in Politics
Egypt, the land of butchers and dictators. We are all mourning of the passing of the only legally elected president of Egypt. Evil has taken over Egypt and the world is watching.Only in the Arab world would a dictator murder his people at will and sleep at night without conscience. A legitimate president is overthrown and killed in a daylight by withholding necessary medicine. this butcher, Sisi , will be greeted with flowers at the white house and other places like France. The world's Morality, justice and democracy are buried with Mursi. Evil may have tripped at the triumphed at the moment , yet injustice will never last. RIP Mursi. Allah ha u naxariisto. -
I hope you are right. Unlike Tigray, Oromo and others , the choice of Somalis has always been independence. If outright independence isn't possible , then full autonomy within Ethiopia is a must. Somali culture, language and socio-economic autonomy shouldn't be debated. Even during the negotiations with ONLF , Abiy had agreed that five years of autonomy and a referendum to be followed. Anything less than that or Ethiopian unitary is an acceptable. Ethiopia isn't an accident , it is an empire that never reformed.

Oh, by the way, Since you are the spokesperson of Mustafe Cagjar , just tell him that we are watching him , and he is getting a lot of break and benefit of the doubt from our side these days. Otherwise, we could be posting his misdeeds weekly here. JUst Few weeks ago his LIyu police had murdered three farmers in Harowo region. Few days before the murder the locals protested , and days letter his goons showed up and shot three farmers randomly to teach them a lesson. Maybe Mustafe is right and the Somali region should be broken up just like the Amhara wants. Maybe Somalis will get relief from his goons.

The Zack, Uma ololaynayno in uu gobolka gooyo, laakiin waa in uu garta in uusan ahayn shaqaale dawladeed oo Ethiopia u shaqeeya , ee uu yahay " The political leader of the Somali region", and as such must act accordingly. He preferred that the country should be organized with directions (east, west or south) in terms region not the traditional sense of a country of nations. Ethiopia is the last empire standing with dozens of nationalities forced by their colonial policy of last century. Well, if he agrees with the Amhara, then the Somali region should be divided in four or five regions based on geography. When he talks to the Ethiopian media he gets out of his way to kiss the Amhara rear. He scared to death of being replaced. he never addresses the needs of Somalis; he never talks about reforming the one sided regions within the Somali KIlil. We got a lot of beef to grind with this guy, but because of Somalihood and goodwill we want to give him a chance to improve . Despite it's tribal name and all that is wrong, the ONLF has clear cut positions on these issues.

Foreign interests blamed in escalating row with Somalia

Will a Somali be a hero for Sudanese people? Looks like it.
galbeedi replied to Old_Observer's topic in Politics
We pray for the Sudanese. THey are our brothers. Certainly the Arab nations and their leaders are cursed. It is the only place in the world where leaders are murdering their citizens for sport. Look at Venezuela, Ukraine, and other places? despite the hardships no one is shooting an unarmed civilians. Ilaahay sharkooda ha ina dhaafiyo. some thirty years ago they sent to us the violent WAhabi sect to our country and we are trying liberate from them since. -
One thing I would to point out is how much the population of Somalia grew since eighties. When I finished high school in the middle of eighties the total graduates who attended Halane military training were 6000 student both male and female. In 1980, it was just above 2000. In Borama area there were three high schools, one in Gabiley, five including the technical school in Hargeisa, two in Burco including the technical; one school in Garoowe, ceerigaabo, Gaalkacayo, Dhuusamaeeb, Baydhabo, KIsmaayo , beledweyne and Jowhar. Muqdisho had probably had six or seven. Today, Somaliland alone has 29,000 students taking the exams. These Somali enclaves can not offer employment or life skill knowledge. The crash program of the Kacaan in the seventies produced large number of students. Among those 6000 , one thousand got the college exam and the rest had to compete the public service jobs. Even some of them were given five acre land in Shabbele Hoose for farming. At least the Kacaan was trying hard to find jobs for the graduates. The problem throughout Somalia is there are zero technical and trade schools. Mugadishu probably has more than 50 universities and if the air condition in one of these hotels breaks down, they have to call a Kenyan technician. sAme with the electricians. What you have is a bunch of kids with fake degrees but can fix anything technological. It is a shame. It is NGO directed education. If these numbers grow , and reach hundreds of thousands students with no future , expect a real revolution.

I think Mr. Cagjar is very weak leader . The big difference is that unlike Mustage Cagjar the Amhara know what they want, and If A Somali carries their water they will ride him anytime. If he think the Amahara would elevate him prime minister he is dreaming. He would have made case for the historical marginalization of Somalis since Menelik. He doesn't understand that other than Somalis the rest of Ethiopians do not even have a pure ethnic character. THere isn't much difference between an Oromo and Amhara christians. It has always been Somalis and other Ethiopians , and if there any region who is candidate for total independence, it should be Somalis By the way OO, Why you always hide or hold back the big news from Tigray for the last few days?. TPLF chairman Mr. Debretsion Gebremichael had given an interview and said that " If the Addis government doesn't change it's anti Tigray policies they might separate. Here is some of the answers: Question: "When moving around the region, we observed that there is this feeling of being pushed away and being isolated by the current administration. Those we spoke to in Tigray told us that the current administration is attacking Tigreans. What do you say about this? Well it is an open secret. We have seen media houses both from regional states like the Amhara Mass Media Agency as well as those at the federal level targeting Tigryans. They labeled the past 27 years as the “age of darkness”. All positive developments done during those years were overshadowed by this narrative and people from Tigray were blamed for it. We also believe that both top and lower level officials are intentionally targeted just because they are ethnic Tigreans. So, currently, there is this campaign and propaganda targeting Tigreans. For instance, if we mentioned the case of Brig. Gen. Kinfe (Dagnew) [former Director General of METEC], we were the ones who agreed to hand him over to the federal government. However, the way he was treated later on was unacceptable. This was done because he is from Tigray. We see a former military officer, who defected with many of his soldiers to Cairo; being received and applauded at the airport where as a general who served his country was shamed and embarrassed. Not only that, there were a number of officials who were selectively removed from their jobs as well as arrested just because they are from Tigray. All in all, those things are bizarre for me. They also accused the TPLF or Tigray whenever there is any incident in the country. We have tried to share our concerns to the federal government as well as the Amhara Regional State. Now we seen the campaign against Tigray is being formalized. For instance, the House of Federation just recently said that Tigray was more beneficial in terms of road infrastructure. We see those campaigns and propaganda targeting Tigray being formalized. So, if the government continues to do that, there is no reason for us to continue working with such kind of government unless otherwise they fix the problem. Not only that, this will have a grave consequence and the country will dismantle. So, Mr, OO what is going on? I heard the Tigray are selling their hotels, buildings and assets in Addis.

I am using my own dime. Thank God, Ninyahow you insult me and call me nasty names in this pages. I am a big boy and I can take it, but no one ever accused me of being paid or anything similar. I am Pro Somali state and restoration of order, but no one owns me. I am a free nomad who could throw his arrows as he sees t fit.

Suldaanka, These kids had mastered misinformation and misleading people. They are experts in the arts of misleading pictures. They will never show you an audio or live microphone. Also, they say, liars use statistics to lie. These pictures were in May 2018. Of course they sent a jet to pick him up and pampered him, yet in return he didn't get much. Sacad Shire the finance minister said, they pay 5 million a year for the port and the 2018 money were already taken by Siilaanyo . The last visit doesn't have any pictures at all, nor any press release from the UAE. Here is an article in April 2019 after his visit of UAE. A multi layered plot fueled by oil might come to the shores of Kismaayo. It is all about the black gold called oil. The architect of the Jubbaland plan was not other than former Somali defense minister and renown Somali scholar Mohamed Abdi Gaandhi. He was not only a former diplomats but also a seasoned scholar and politician who understood how the world worked. He was the most educated Somali in any Somali government cabinet for the last 30 years. As soon as he became the defense minister, he thought big and wanted to bring the Somali quagmire though big and bold idea. He went to Washington and told the American security establishment that a well trained 30,000 Somali troops could bring law and order from Lughaya to KIsmaayo. On that note, he organized a meeting of former Somali generals led by late Somali general Mohamed Ali Samatar in Virginia. Destructive personalities like general Galaal who participated denounced the plan as the old guard of the Somali military replacing the old system. While Somalia had good officers and soldiers , our generals were never up to the challenge. Even today, we have some of the weakest generals in the world. Anyway, that idea didn't get any traction due to many reasons. Yet, Mr. Gaandhi , did not give up, but changed strategy to tackle the security of smaller version of Somalia---Azania, aka Jubbaland. He hatched a plan with a French big oil multinational Total to explore oil in the Jubba basin, while in return helping him to establish his administration. The plan was a multilayered scheme that was difficult to grasp. He asked Kenya to train 1500 strong Somali soldiers from the Jubba area and from his clan in specifically. President Shariif , the novice man with no political experience , accepted the deal and those men were sent to Kenya for training. As I said, there was plans within the plans. Kenya never intervene in Jubba when the threat of Al-shabaab was greayer nor when Amisom needed help to consolidate power in earlier years. Some people believe that it was black gold power that pushed the war to occupy Jubba land. Also, the presence of Obama in the white house might emboldened the Kenyans. So, in order to sort out these issues, I have to find a real son of Jubba land . Someone born and bread there. Rather than been mesmerized by the tough talking guys like SOL resident Apophis and company , who sound more like the Kenyan intelligence operatives than Jubba guys,, we have to look and sit down with the real Jubbalanders and find out their opinions without filters. Here is our conversation. In fact, I told him that I was interviewing him and will post in the the internet. Galbeedi: Who are those involved in this so called Jubbaland project? please start from the beginning. Jubbaman: It was the brainchild of C/raxman Gannadhi. I do not know what time he stated but the project was started before he even joined the federal government. He was instrumental in setting up the training of the Somali/Jubbaland soldiers to Kenya while he was the defence minister. One thing I know is that he kept talking about making Jubbalnd like Switzerland of the horn. He said, he will put street lights in Kismaayo and their police force will be trained by France and so on, and promised the moon for the locals. . In other words , it was his project, and he promised a prosperous Jubbaland. Galbeedi: If that is the case, then why Mr. Gaandhi is looking from outside and not leading the JUbba project? Jubba man: THe Ethiopians objected . Also, the Kenyans could not trust him. AS an educated man , it was difficult to manipulate or control him. That is where Madoobe came in. He might be a tough guy is the sense of Somali toughness, but could be manipulated easily( Waa nin Hal Neef oo Geela Waxar lagaga bedelan karo) Somali emphasis are mine. Galbeedi: why doesn't he run now against Madoobe. Jubba man: He has a health issues that doesn't allow him to run. During the brawl between Somali parliament in Nairobi in 2004, someone hit him with a chair in his neck and spine area and that issue got bad slowly and caused chronic back problems. I hope he gets better. Galbeedi: who else is involved with these project? and how it is connected with the maritime boundary dispute? Jubba man: I do not really know if the Kenyans want to take the whole Jubbaland on behalf of the oil companies and gain the richest oil blocks in the Indian Ocean, but certain events indicate that a lot of money had changed hands on behalf of oil companies. Former Kenyan defense minister Yusuf was also involved as well as his son who is A Kenyan intelligence officer, and other members of the Kenyan intelligence. Their intentions might have been to take both the Kenyan side and the Somali side of the oil blocks under their control. Telecommunication equipment were bought especially for the Jubba Land forces, and armored cars and weapons were brought from South Africa. Galbeedi: by who?, the Kenyan government. Jubba ma: By arm dealers financed by oil cartels with the knowledge of the Kenyan government. Galbeedi: was that meant annexing JUbbaland coastal area for good.? Jubba man: Not initially. The European oil companies , mostly Norwegian and French), probably wanted to have a friendly government in Jubba, and since oil extraction and resource regulation usually falls under the jurisdiction of the regional government, they wanted to aid Gaandhi and have the monopoly for the extraction while helping him and build the institutions and capacity of the administration. Galbeedi: what changed?, don't they still have the Kenyan side oil blocks and the Somali oil blocks are auctioned openly in the international market like in London last year and in Stanbul this summer? Jubba man: What changed is that all that effort and money could not secure the European rights for the oil. As it stands now , most of the oil will be extracted by Americans and their allied companies. So it is probably the Europeans oil companies pushing Kenya, and they want Somalia to stop auctioning of the oil blocks. If you remember, all hell broke lose as soon as Somalia auctioned the blocks and they demanded that those auctioning must stop. Galbeedi: How about prime minister Khayre?, isn't he supposed to be the oil man who must protect the interest of Europeans especially the Norwegians? Jubba man: This Khayre guy is telling everyone that Somalia is open for business, the insurgency will be over in a few years, and harry up and jump in the fray before it is too late. Yet, the Europeans can't compete with the Americans. They finance the Amisom forces, but these forces will withdraw , and eventually it is the Americans who will guarantee the arming and rebuilding of the Somali army in the future. The Horn is going to be under American influence. The Kenyans and others does not like the idea of Americans creating a professional national army. With Khayre in place , The Norwegians will certainly get their share , but it is Farmaajo who will make the final decision. Galbeedi: why the Kenyans keep repeating that Somalia had auctioned the Kenyan side of border? Jubba man: They know it is not true, but they want to stop the whole thing until a friendly government shows up in Somlia in less than two years. Also, as soon as the boundary issue is decided by the international court , oil companies have legal authority to start drilling and extracting oil and gas. There is no turning back. Galbeedi: So a dysfunctional and unstable Somalia had beaten Kenya to the high stakes of oil wars. THat means, this slow , reclusive and quite guy Farmaajo might be the only guy who could stop Kenyans at this time? JUbba man: I told you guys many times that Farmaajo might not be perfect, but those waiting in the wings like Shariif Ahmed will be welcomed by both Kenya and Uganda. They will carry the water for these countries. Galbeedi: So in this game of oil, Madoobe is just small potato. Jubba man: Madoobe is a tough stick to whip Somalia and just like the warlords of yesterday he will do what even is demanded by the big powers. Galbeedi: Now, how about the OG community?,, Do you know that you guys are in the crossroads in this war of the oil in horn at the moment? Also, there are some Galmudug players who want to join in the fray, right? JUbba man: I am 100% sure if Madoobe stays we will face some kind of trouble. If things heat up he might even cancel the election and declare secession. THe Galmudug guys live in the middle of the country , but we are a frontier community and might lose more than others if we side with the Kenyans. Galbeedi: You could be hated by Somalis if you messed up and side with Kenya.ns? JUbba man: Before I answer that , let me tell you that all Soomaalis are " Soogalayti". Every tribe within the republic lives inside the Somali Kilil, they come from Wardeer and cross to Mudug; from Gaashaamo to Burco and even vote in Somaliland. Everywhere Somalis come and go, yet, that term Soogalooti is pinned against us -- the OG --which is totally unfair. . Yet, if war takes place and Modoobe joins the Kenyans, we will be considered like real enemies of Somalia, say like an outcast , maybe even worse than the Somaliland separatists and will be hated by Somalis just like you guys are hated these days. Galbeedi: I am unionist, but I get thee message. Jubbaman: If we don't handle this issue carefully, anything can happen. Galbeedi: So, not only the OG community , but the whole country might disintegrate. Who else is involved in these issues in the earlier stages? Jubba man: I thing Cumar Sharmaarke and C/shakur were involved in the early stage of the oil project, and even Shariif Ahmed in some capacity. Galbeedi: Are you saying they were willing participants in the idea of transferring Jubba region oil to the the Kenyan government ? JUbba man: They probably didn't understand the fine print in the earlier stages, but Kenya is one of the most corrupt countries. Everything was done by people working for the oil guys. The kenyans , C/raxman Shakur and Sharmaarke and many others took their cut, but some were unable to understand the extent of their involvement.. Yet, C/raxman Shakur soon might side with the Kenyans . He is just beating the bush now , but if things heat up , he will choose and side with the Kenyans just like Madoobe. All those who had took money from the oil companies must side with those who bankrolled them. Cumar Sharmaarke is laying law as usual. Galbeedi: there are no winners in conflict at this time both for Kenya and Somalia, yet, it is Kenyans who can not afford bad publicity both for their economy and world media, right, Jubba man: Somalia already gets bad rap among the western media, but Kenya could lose more than they think. International agencies could leave in droves and billions of Somali assets could be repatriated. In my understanding these issues are pushed outside forces beyond Kenya. Galbeedi: isn't about time that Somalis come home?, Sooner or later it will happen. Jubba man: forced expulsion and unorganized migration caused by war will hurt Somali merchants who could lose a lot of money and their assets. Galbeedi: let us go back one more time about the OG community. In the diaspora, throughout the years we all considered your community to be one of the most nationalist, especially looking the ONLF struggle, yet you seem to be calculating and throat cutting like any other groups these days. Is that a fair assessment? JUbba man: we were always patriots from JUbba to Dagaxbuur. WE supported almost every Somali government except the C/yusuf government, and we always on the side of the Somali people. One of the biggest things that changed our outlook and even encouraged us to support Illey despite his crimes, was when Somaliland and Puntalnd handed us to the TPLF enemy, even Farmaajo joined the fray and handed a war hero Qalbi=Dhagax to Ethiopia, that is what changed us.. That was when we decided to be ruthless just like anyone else. Yet every Somali is welcome in Jubba regardless of his tribe. We always fought for Somali freedom where ever we were, and we still believe that no one can match or patriotism. Galbeedi: Why it is difficult for you guys to share with other Somalis ? Jubba man: it is not just us, it is the nature of Somali politics these days, you eat or you will be eaten. That all folks. The Jubbaland locals are nationalist but they are taken ransom by Madoobe and should be rescued.

THis Deni guy is shrewd. The Chinese chose to settle in Puntland. Just like Cali Guray from Hargeisa was saying, " Nin keligii yidhi wax walba anigaa qabanaya, waa nin orgi rartay" that is how Deni described the leadership of Cabdiwli Gaas and those before him trying to do everything. THat is why there is line up in Somali leaders offices since everything is controlled by one man. Will see how he changes things.

Suldaanka, One thing that is plausible is that the is the Hagbad is really crowded and for those who had been promised to be their turn will not go down easily including Samatar. Last time when he went to Sool to give few goats, proff. Samater said ," I did so in order to gain the Kulimiye Hagbad he was promised.

Borama has one of the most corrupt mayors in the world. He is called " Saleebaan Afar Jeeble". The Jeegaan has forced him to the people. These are not local governments but thieves who are their to enrich themselves. They can not even clear one kilometer of road let alone build anything. It has been 30 years and nothing is changing.in Hargeisa Siilaanyo and company sold every public park, public housing and even libraries.

An insider within the government of Puntland told me few things that that is mind boggling. He said that when president Deni visited UAE he did not meet Muuse Biixi at all, but met some of the highest officials of the Emirates. He said when the UAE officials met president Biixi , they insisted on that both Puntland and Somaliland should find common ground and stop border skirmishes. THey told Muuse not to disrupt the border issue especially Sanaag and eastern Golis mountains where Al-Shabaab and ISIS are both active. Yet, the news coming from Hargeisa is that Muuse want to reach the so called Somaliland frontier and close the border. He said , " The UAE has more interest in Puntland than Somaliland" . Not only the Boosaaso port management but other regional and political issues within Somalia are usually conducted through Puntland.Their hope of returning to Somalia is through Puntalnd politicians. Since the relationship between FArmaajo is getting nowhere Mr. Deni is looking deals around the globe to enhance Puntland. Even the Chinese had opened an office in Garowe to help their government run development agency. Now, why would a UAE based Boqor Buurmadow want to wage war against Jeegaan?. He is either interested about stopping the bleeding of his kinsmen in Sanaag and make peace with west Burco, or the UAE is teaching a lesson to Muuse Biixi after refusing their orders. Either way, It is astonishing that the governor of Sanaag who should be bringing his cousin Caare from Qardho is in Hargeisa and telling the media that a new dangerous group than Caare had started from Sanaag. We all know a few clan rebels with few technicals will not be a great threat unless they have big powers behind them. If that is the case, Jeegaan and Muuse are in trouble. In the west we used to say, " Balaayo Bari bay jirtaa" WAr jiraaba cakaaruu iman.

Somali State to Receive 50 Percent of Gas/Oil Revenue
galbeedi replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
The Somali state should know how much is produced. No one should accept donations from the federal government. -
It is all fake news. Waa lagu sheegayey. Hadana ciidan uguma aanu tagin. Both the guy asking the question and the governor are plotting against Buurmadow.

Somali State to Receive 50 Percent of Gas/Oil Revenue
galbeedi replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
Nowadays, no one uses the old way calculating revenues. Even some African countries are copying from North America. Central or federal government taxes sales and profits of the companies, and provincial and regional governments usually gets royalty per barrel. If the production and price increases so does the state revenue. If price declines the state revenue will go down. Federal government should not be managing the resources, local people should. For example, if you charge just a mere 5% per barrel , that is $2.5 dollars when oil is trading $50. If it goes $100 you got five dollars. If they produce a million barrel a day you get between 2-5 million a day. Any other system that calculates production costs and other schemes companies use to steal money is unacceptable. Some might even say that they have to recoup their original costs which could hit billions and delay any money to the host state. Besides, Ethiopians are backwards in terms of dealing with the advanced world. We already have Somali oil executives and petroleum engineers who could help if there is a need. Apophis, most of the oil is in Godey (OG countryside ) area, but we will share as all brothers do. Do , not get carried away about these little tribal skirmishes ( Is riix riixa gaajadu keenray ee qabaa'ilka), after all , we all brothers. -
All of Mudug going one way is the solution. Dalmar will vote against Puntalnd but he he doesn't know what he is for. That is why Galmudug is in disarray.

Somali State to Receive 50 Percent of Gas/Oil Revenue
galbeedi replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
We have to see how they calculate. If it is 50% of the taxes per barrel that is good. The best method is royalty per barrel, with revenue rising with the oil prices.
