OO, I thought we passed the time when a regional government used to collaborate a hostile neighbor. THe foreign policy of Somalia is decided by the national government not the regional leadership or Somali towns like Kismaayo or Baydhabo. You want us to break the law and give consent with to an outlaw because he got a gun? no way. What counts is the behaviour of the foreign powers. Turkey has base in Somalia with soldiers , yet we are not complaining about their presence. You always describe these Somali entities as national governments free to devise their plan, but in Tigray, despite their power and established regional government , they do not go out of their way to meet foreign powers without the Ethiopian federal government consent. If you are claiming the legitimacy of the federal government is equal or parallel with a man who rules KIsmaayo, then you must be out of touch of reality. No one can claim legitimacy to rule within the country without following the principle of fairness and rule of law. Unlike before, the Ethiopia army movements are dictated or requested by the Somali governmet. It looks like you didn't get the message. The Ethiopia of Abiy Ahmed is not a threat as the TPLF led government of yesterday. No regional government will no longer allowed to work with a foreign power against the guidelines of the federal government. Next month the maritime dispute with Kenya will be decided by the international court. If Kenya rejects the verdict, they will be no longer eligible to stay in KIsmaayo. A foreign government claiming territory from Somalia can't be allowed to remain within our borders. AS soon as they depart so does Madoobe. All these kids talk about dictatorships of the past to make a case for their tribal dictatorship. THe Somali dictatorship of yesterday would have disappeared just like the rest of Africa. It wasn't the rebels who made the ultimate decision to destroy the country but their sponsor Ethiopia who made sure for the nomads to self destruct each other. THeir were dictatorship in Kenya, Sudan, Egypt and many other places, and those who overthrow their governments through violence was made possible by arms of foreign powers. Without Mengistu these nomads would had just complained like the rest of the world. Who is delusional here ? A bunch of guys willing to sacrifice everything for a warlord who have done nothing meaningful for eight years or the rest of us who want the people to decide and elect their leaders without intimidation? I do not expect justice with a bunch of greedy tribal anarchists who want to score points. Deep down they know they would be nothing but useful idiots who sacrificed their national aspiration for unrepentant world.

In the world of democratic politics, the opposition has to be loyal to the overall aspirations of the state and the rule of law. While opposing government policies and how they manage the state affaires, it is their primary duty to insist on the supremacy of the rule of law. In Venezuela, the opposition leader anointed himself president without winning or even running an election. He thought with the help Trump and others his illegal coup would be successful. Mr. Juan Guido not only failed to replace the legal president, but has damaged any peaceful transition in his country. In KIsmayo, Ahmed Madoobe, after eight years in power, had assembled his own hand picked members of regional assembly and crowned himself president. He refused to allow any opposition candidate to contest the election. That power grap was rejected by the federal government while the international community raised the alarm earlier. It was expected fpr Madoobe to hold on to power by any means necessary, but What wasn't expected was former leaders including two presidents to applaud this illegal takeover. As future contestants who are preparing their campaign to unseat FArmaajo, what would they do if Farmaajo hand picks the next parliament and crowns himself. Be careful for what you wish. This move by these leaders is a wake up call for most Somalis. The Somali opposition is probably bought by foreign governments including the UAE and Kenya. Everyone who is in the pockets of UAE has followed the same logic of supporting the illegal takeover of Madoobe. Despite its weaknesses, so far the Somali government had taken the high road . While it was easy to make some money and join the evil alliance of the gulf, the Somali government had chosen to be neutral. According to a Turkish publication, The Daily Sabah, the Saudis had approached the Somali government one more time this summer. Since the UAE is withdrawing from Yemen and the coalition is in tatters, the Saudis had offered the Somali government to join the coalition against Yemen and Qatar with $80 million dollar offer. These are the same group throwing billions of dollars to prop up the foreign exchange accounts of Ethiopia, Sudan and Pakistan. They assume that since Somalis are cheap and poor , few millions might buy them in exchange for our youth to be cannor fodor's of the gulf. Thanks to the current government, Somalia rejected that offer. The Qataris who are victims of the Saudi/UAE blockade were impressed by the principle stand of the Somali state and had decided to double their effort to help Somalia economically and militarily. The Saudis didn't stop there but sent an invitation to Muuse Biixi to intimidate Somalia by recognizing the Somaliland passport as an official document that allows Somaliland leaders to travel to the Hajj. On the other hand, Mr. Deni and Puntland had seen first hand how UAE looted and schemed Somaliland by offering just five million dollars a year to manage the Berbera without adding any meaningful value. Rather than scrap the old deal and sign a new one either with Qatar , China or someone else, he just followed the plot of Xaaf, Hassan Sheikh, Biixi ,UAE and lost the geopolitical economy to Hobyo. Soon the NGO money will dry and no one will be able to pay the do nothing 40 ministers of Puntland. This gulf Arabs are so stupid anyone with right mind can create an elaborate scheme to take away their cash . Maybe we should promise them 25,000 Somali youth , cash in few billions, and tell them to get lost. The Trump family had made millions including Jared Kushner who borrowed or schemed $600 millions from the gulf stoges to finance his tower in Manhattan. The Farmaajo/Khayre duo are winning against the gulf and their mercenaries back home. Both the opposition, led by Hassan Sheikh and Shariif Ahmed, including C/raxman Cabdishakur, and regional governments led by C/laahi Deni of Puntland, Ahmed Madoobe and Muuse Biixi have one common benefactor and boss--THe UAE and Kenya to some extent. As we speak , they are all speaking in one voice against Somalia in favour of either Kenya or UAE. A friend of mine from Burco, whom I didn't hear for a while lately, called me last weekend and asked to meet up. He told me that he had some interesting news from Mogadishu and Hargeisa. Since I am a political junkie who likes these issues, I run quickly to the nearest coffee shop and sat down for a chat. He said he had a good news and a bad news. I said tell me the bad news first. He said the bad news is "Farmaajo and company will be leaving and will be replaced by Hassan Sheikh in just little over a year and half. We will be supporting him and also supplement him with one of those Puntlanders from the east ( Mid Reer Bari ah oo aan Somaliland dhib ku hayn ayaanu ku daraynaa), probably Deni or another well connected Reer Bari. We have spent tons of money on HAG politicians and others in Mogadishu and the result will show up soon". He continued, " Anyone who is against Somaliland in the past or present will be disqualified by Hassan Sheikh to hold any high office". He added, " We told Shariif Ahmed and Hassan to find common front and let one of them be the candidate, but it was impossible to bridge the gap" How about the good news? I said. He said, " the northern politicians who are working with Farmaajo today, especially vice premier Khadar, Maareeye and C/raxman Bayle will be destroyed politically , although Bayle isn't a load mouth as those two, the southern politicians are mad with those guys and will be thrown out of the parliament" " " Since you were always interested in Mogadishu politics , and Hassan Shekh needs a new group of norther guys to fill government jobs and the parliament , you will be among those people, provided you play the game nicely and forget these anti Somaliland rhetoric". Furthermore, "if they offer you a job, do not take those dangerous places were you have to aggravate other tribes." He advised me to take care of myself and get with the program. I protested and told him that I " wasn't interested about making money if the country doesn't improve or if I can not contribute something valuable to the equation. The moral of the story is that the Somali Alphabets movements who destroyed our country are teaming up once again to keep the status quo and prevent any meaningful change. THey are teaming up from Kismaayo to Mogadishu, Garoowe and Hargeisa. These are the same groups who have destroyed our country. It means that the current government is an outsider , an agent of change that represent, We The People. It means the current government is doing something right which unites both the separatist and the Kenyan faction. How can we trust those who destroyed the nation to lead it again. When the nation goes down, the elite and the instigators will disappear to foreign capitals, but the larger Somali public who were poor but managed to survive under their flag and nation had suffered the most. Today, it is those poor Somalis who are joining the army and dying for others to live in peace. We , the silent majority , reject the policies of the opposition and their oligarchs who are serving the interest of foreign powers like UAE , Kenya and others. Once again regional governments have been exposed as fraud, as nothing but a checkpoint to fill the pockets of the few oligarchs. People are discarding the false loyalty of the larger clan connection to their local community and those they share neighborly, brotherhood and destiny. People were no longer willing to sacrifice their life and future to the false pride of the tribe that doesn't help them in their times of need. People in Boosaaso want their local sons to police their neighborhood than someone from Garoowe or Qardho. The same way the people of Zaylac want their sons to work at the custom office, police station and local ministries instead of people from Burco and Berbera. People want their local taxes to improve their lives than being pocketed openly by the mayor. We have been mesmerized about the centralized government of yesterday, yet, today, no one is more centralized than the regional governments. The Tigray army sales to the regional governments, and the NGO unlimited cash from Nairobi had created false impressions of governments that could not even pay the salaries of the local police. Somalis had sacrificed their national government for a false flag that doesn't answer for the needs of their people. Sheikh Aadan Seero, the Sheikhul Beled of Hargeisa, was speaking out about the looting of public purse and land by the ruling class. He narrated how Ismaaciil Cali Abokor, one of the most powerful member of the SRC of Somali, how his family were broke immediately after he was arrested .If you compare the open looting of today to 1985, you will be shocked. Libraries, government houses and public offices were sold. The governor of Awdal doesn't even has an office to operate after they sold the government house built by the British. Waar Ummaddii Soomaaliyeed Budhcad baa heshay. Now who do you want to lead the next government?. Outsiders like us would have been a perfect fit for the nation because we would not be intimidated by the greedy rebels who destroyed our country and would have crashed everyone regardless of their clan or geography. But, if we the good people, can not make it , then our choice between Hassan Sheikh and Farmaajo is simple. WE will choose Farmaajo any day against Hassan Sheikh , the oligarchs and their benefactors. Folks, the lines had been drawn . You are either with us, we the people, or with the oligarchs.

Hargeisa Riwaayd baa taala. They could not even hold a football match among the regions for the last two years, yet they have the ministry of sports. The problem is Togdheer and Sanaag can not field a team.

Now the poor minister will be fired for not joining " Kuwa la aqoonsanayn". Waa runtii waxa ay isku qaldeen kuwa la aqoonsan yahay iyo kuwa aan la aqoonsanayn.

Dagaalkii Ictiraafka ayaa meel walba la galay. Boorama way jirtay Soomaaliland ka hor waxa ay keentay dagaalkaa iyo beentaa aad arkayso. For these guys lies is the only way to advance their agenda. Someday, we will expose all the lies they manufactured for 30 years.

Cadnaan1, Saaxiib Nimankani waxay samaysteen wasaarado bug ah oo waxii la doono lagu soo daabaco. Aqliga ayaa diidaya. Shabbelaha dhexe waxa uu ka kooban yahay, ama uu ka koobnaa: Jowhar Balcad Aadan Yabaal Cadalle. Jowhar waa meesha Dugsiga sare loo nyimaado. 1983, Aradaydii Awdal ka soo baxday waxa ay shaqo qaran u Aadaeen Sh. Dhexe. One of my older friends was in CAdale. He could fool the internet audience but not us.

I did not ask you or other readers to simply believe my claims, I cited official education ministry figures. Look, most of you guys would not know if if truth, fact or even logic hit you in the head. You are not talking about Somalia. You might have created an imaginary ministry of education or as usual falsified the numbers. There are certain things that people like you whose world started in 2001 can not comprehend. Someone asked an experienced man and said, how can I be like you? and he answered, " you must read many books and live more years". There is a difference between opinion, fake numbers and facts. You might not believe but I even attended both Faarah Oomar high and First July high in Hargeisa. I spent a summer in Burco and might even know the city better than you keyboard warriors. The indisputable fact is the Somalia of 1980 didn't even had 25 high schools let alone hundreds as you claim, and certainly Shabeelaha Dhexe didn't have 58 schools in the eighties. You are talking about a wrong country. Unlike you guys it's our country and we know certain facts without Wikipedia. 58 schools in (Sh Dhexe) is illogic and crazy. It is like saying Somalia has 60 million people. If Sh.Dhexe had one or two high schools , how could you accommodate 58 schools. The people of togdheer had to go to Burco for high school. There were no high schools in Sheikh, Oodweyne, Buuhoodle and Caynabo, all Togdheer districts. just as those from Buur hakaba, Diinsoor and Bay region had to go to Baydhabo. Those in Hiraan had to go to Beledweyne only in 1980.All Mudug had Cumar Samatar high, and Galgaduud had one in Dhuusamareeb. Listen kid, I am teaching you few things and please take it . If I have time I might even give you the names of those high schools in Somalia. Mind you, we are not talking about Bangladesh or other places. Do you know that by 1960, Somalia didn't even had 5 high schools. The whole north had one , Cammud and Sheikh later and the south probably one or two in Benadir, and Missione in Jowhar which was used also those from central Somalia. Starting today, here in SOL we have to throw out everything you paste and copy from the false factory. You are probably one of those Somalis who copy and paste from the colonial books to prove a point how certain clan was good or bad. Where is Xaaji Xanjuf to tell the facts to these kids. Waar caruuratni aday ku maqlayaane wax u sheeg. Goormay Somalia 400 oo iskuul lahayd. In conclusion, in 1980 other than Woqoyi Galbeed, Awdal and Banaadir no one else had three high schools in Somalia. Take that to the bank.In fact, since Awdal was still within Woqoyi Galbeed before 1984, no other region had more than three high schools than these two regions. So throw out these fake tables get the facts from us.

Since the Carta, Djibouti election , Somali elections followed a transparent elections in terms of selection of the elders and election commission. The election that took place in Jubbaland today was not only sham and illegal but also illogical for any sane Somali to accept. Here are some of illogical moves that disqualify these as fair elections. Madoobe selected his own elders and directed them to give him three three members and decided to choose one of his liking. He encouraged his own staff to take part of the election and made it his own internal competition. Just before his demise, Cabdi Illey changed the executive council and made a woman his vice president . At the end of his demise his supporters mobilized people made violent riots and screamed of take over of Oromo in Somali region. That cry and doomsday predicted by his clan never materialized. Just like Illey , Madoobe chose a woman to run against him while the heavy weight opposition is sidelined. He got almost 60 votes and the fake lady running against him got only 17. No sane Somali would accept this fake election, and anyone encouraging these kind of illegal moves has no right to comment on the Somali issue. This kind of election could not have been accepted in Puntalnd, Galmudug or any other region. Jubbaland needs new election before things get out of hand. Here is Farah Macalin the Somali statesman from Kenya clearing the air. How can any sane Somali accept this self serving and false crowning of Madoobe.

Berbera was taken by the UAE to stage air strikes against Yemen if they could not secure ADen. Before Berbera, they asked Djibouti to join the campaign , but Cumar Ghelle refused. THe UAE adventure is almost over. They haven't lost any money in Berbera so far. Five million a year is nothing. Dahabshill or anyone else could have done that deal.
-
There are also expensive minerals in these part of Somalia including Uranium.
-
Well Mr. OO, Thanks for changing the topic. I don't why I have to debate these troll kids who never accept reality. Anyway, the Hobyo thing is big. Qatar is different than the evil UAE who just destroy things. This project will change central Somalia both economically and socially.

Mr. Fake publisher, we were number three in terms of high school . period.. No need to exhaust us with fake numbers. Hargeisa, the second largest city had only four high school and Dugsiga Farsamada Gacanta. Everyone knows. Again: Gacan libaax First JUly Faarah OOmaar and 26 Juun. You can not escape from these facts. Gabiley had one and Burco one, plus Dugsiga Farsamada. Period. There were no high schools in OOdweyne, Caynaba, Buuhoodle and Sheeikh all districts.
-
We were number three in terms of high schools. Period. Do you know the Awdalites were the largest percentage of teachers in Somalia per capita. Even today, we have four high schools and two major universities (Camuud and Eelo) both built by the locals. I do not even add the madrassas and other Islamic oriented schools. We were always on the top the education percentage. This fool is trying to take away the only currency we have. Abu Qays middle school is located in rural area outside Borama. It was intended for the local farmers and the nomads.

Listen kid, You are the one using false numbers to lie. Do you know some of these places had their first high school during the Kacaan. in MUdug , the first graduates were from Cumar Sanmatar High in 1971/72. In 1980, the Somali gradates of high school were 2000. Hargeisa had 4 high schools. Faarah OOmaar Gacan Libaax First July 26 Juun. Berbera had one. and Gabiley the Boarding Qalax The whole Woqoyi Galbeed had six. Togdheer had two. Sheikh Bashiir High and Dugisiga Farsamada gacanta. If the whole Woqoyi Galbeed had six , how come Shabeelaha hoose had 10. I told you before . You use false numbers to lie and confuse people. The whole Shabeelaha Hoose had only two high school, because that is were I served my national service. Some of us are old enough and even can name the names of Mogadishu high schools which are not even eight let alone 21. Furthermore, I said only Borama. If you want to count all schools in Awdal region including middle school , then I can add Qulijeed , Boon , Dila, Magaala cad and Abu Qays, and Zaylac middle schools. So, please go and fix where ever you got those fake numbers. Maybe you publish these things yourself. Saaxiib waan ku Qabtay manta. Fake table . Kulahaa shabeelaha Hoose 10 high school.
-
let us check Burco , how many high school it had in 1980? Look, google maps do not tell the whole story. Burco is declining , it is fact. It was the trade hub of the east both for Sool, Sanaag , togdheer and the hawd. Not anymore. Sanaag is trading with Reer Bari, the east is unstable security wise, and there is no significant livestock trade. If drastic changes do not happen Burco could decline faster than anyone thinks. Besides, Biixi isn't interested in the east.
-
Warya Suldaanka, Unlike Burco or Borama, Boosaaso has 50,000 internally displaced people and thousands more trying to make the journey to the gulf. Puntalndta la shaeegayoba waa Boosaaso both economically and population wise. Burco used to be larger than Borama years ago, not anymore. Ask those who visited lately. There is no reason to visit Burco these days. A native of Burco told me that even those traveling from Hargeisa to Sanaag just change the bus and do not stop there anymore. Without the visitors from other part of the country , diaspora and local university Borama too would be ghost town. There is zero trade going from Djibouti to Borama or from Borama to Jigjiga. Awdal had Sheikh Cali Jowhar high school The famed Camuud High school And Dugsiga sare ee Beeraha. Here you talling all schools wether vthey are middle school, elimentery or high school. Both Nugaal, Mudug, Bay, Gedo, Bari JUbada dhexe, Galgaduud, Sh.hoose and others had only one high school, period. We are talking about high school here. other than Hargeisa and Benaadir no one else had three high schools in one region.

I wish I could go back 35 years in 1984. or 1974 and 1964. In these part of the world , Midba ka uu ka dambeeyo ayuu ka xun yahay kana liitaa. Siilaayo ayaa ka fiicnaa Biixi, Siilaanyana waxa ka fiicnaa Rayaale, Rayaalena Cigaal. Midba kuu ka dambeeya wuu ka liitaa. Waxaan rajaynaynaa in uu Farmaajo ka fiicnaado kuwii ka horeeyey. When I was young, I was one of those were willing to throw their hard earned life for something unknown. " waxaan ahaa Kacaan diid" it was part of being young and irresponsible. Now I know. Besides, I am not one of those who are afraid of being associated with the Kacaankii Barakaysnaa.

The Sawahilis are playing with fire. Madoobe is their man and the only way to cut the Kenyan snake is to defeat Madoobe. I think the lines are drown clear. If you are with Madoobe , you are with Kenya. if you are against Madoobe, you are with Somalia and its government. Nin Sheikh ah oo Saaxiibkay ah ayaa cabaar labadii kun waxa uu yidhi isaga oo ka hadalaya dagaal ogayaashii Somalia iyo taageerayashoodi ayaa waxa uu yidhi, ' Nin baa aakhiradiisi iyo Aduunyadisiiba u seegaya nin kale aduunyadii" Why the end of Madoobe is doomsday for many Somalis? I do not understand. They kept talking about dictatorship holding to power in Somllai many years ago, yet, they can't let it go a guy who runs one city. Cajiib. Having a pro Somali leader in Jubba will help the efforts of the Somali army in the Jubbaland area, and will dismantle Kenyan plans. It is simple as that.

Amigos, by now , we all know you mastered in the art of misleading and altering things to fit your narrative. This picture is Saybeeriya, on of the districts leading to Amoud university. The whole town of Borama is on the other side of the hills. Borama is not a new town. This week it is celebrating its one hundredth (centennial) year of its founding in 1919. In 1980 Borama had four neighborhoods or "Xaafado". Xalane, Ahmed Guray, Sheikh Cali Jowhar and Saybeeriya. It had four middle schools and three high schools, third only to Mogadishu and Hargeisa. In 1994, airplanes used to land Borama and most of the NGO's operated in Borama until Cigaal moved all of them to Hargeisa. After the collapse of Somali state people had to move to their tribal homelands and the population had shifted to these places. Also, Thousands of Somalis from east, south and north had moved due to educational opportunities and the welcoming culture of the region. Thousands of Somalis from the diaspora had settled their for education and peace. When I visited in 2011 , they built another city within the city filling every park, bus stand , walkways and all open spaces between them without any urban planning.. Today it is the fourth largest city in Somalia behind Mogadishu, Hargeisa and Boosaaso. By the way, Burco is losing ground and its people are moving in large numbers to Hargeisa. Of course peace and stability within the Somaliland brings growth, but this town and region should be more prosperous than they are. Everything that is functioning is built by the locals, whether it is schools, universities, hospitals , roads and the water system. I just talked to someone who just came from and he told me city, region or Somaliland services are zero. The town is littered with garbage and no one is picking them up, while tax is collected from people. THe mayor chews Qat either in Hargeisa or Borama. Of course you see us small and insignificant, but we achieved this minor development with the economic blockade of the system. People had to pay head taxes to cross from Djibouti. Tens of thousands used to visit from Djibouti during the heat and spend money here, now , they are discouraged by the levy of hundreds of dollars at the border. Furthermore, trade with the Somali region is closed for 25 years. Our coastal region is dying. Towns that were vibrant 30 years ago are dying. Old towns from Qulijeed, Boon, Xariirad, Lowyacado and Zaylac are dormant while LUghaya, Garbada, Baki and others from the interior are losing due to lack of trade within the region. People can only reach their potential with less trade restrictions and movements of the people. Awdal is rich with minerals, agriculture and fish, yet people are starving in coastal towns. What does it take to build a fishing port? millions of donor money is sitting in Hargeisa. Look at Togdheer. When I visited their in the eighties , its livestock market was booming. goats and sheep were brought all the way from Hiiraan and Burco was the livestock market of all Somali region and Ethiopia from Gaashaamo to Godey. All that is gone , and if things flow the current trend Burco will be a ghost town. Everyone has to go Hargeisa to take part of the looting. Places like Burco could only prosper through the Somali state system. and trade with other Somalis than look west to Hargeisa. We were all complaining about the old centralized system, but the new one that replaced is much closer to home but greedier and vacuuming money with impunity while sending all resources to one place called Hargeisa. Ports, roads, trade and infrastructure is the way to develop the land and increase wealth. Having huge town filled with people who left their rural homes and villages is not a recipe for success. Unemployment in these cities are 70% . Of course we are better off than most places who do not have a hospital or water. Yet, it took us 30 years to bring everyone in one place with 70% unemployment and no way out . Muxuu yidhi Sidi Sidaada mooye dhul u dhacaaga hubso.

If we keep reading tribal propaganda, Farmaajo is a D block that is against certain tribes. Yet, he is building a port in the heart of central Somalia where most of his fervent oppositions hail from. Neither Hassan Sheikh nor Shariif Ahmed could it for Galmudug what Farmaajo is doing for those community. In Awdal we have have economic, historical and family connection with Djibouti. It would be economically feasible to connect Djibouti to Borama and build that road which was in the plans for 40 years. Zaylac is also a historical place that should have a local port. Yet, none of those developments will happen while the Habro are in charge. Same goes with Laasqoray. Neither Puntland nor Somaliland will build. That is why we have to dismantle these tribal " Spaaro" for the benefit of the larger public.
-
OO, You have to feed your people before you embark separation. You keep saying Somalis are diverse , huge land and different entities. Yes, our land is big, and before the 20th century, we had probably the biggest land mass in Africa. Yet, we are one people and our geography is well known from DiriDhaba to Wajeer. Here in the diaspora , we all consider ourselves as Somalis tied by culture, language and faith including those from Djibouti. The Scots in Britain or the Quebecois in Canada had 400 years of trying their distinct culture from the dominations of the English. There is no such thing in Somalia. Besides, no one is rooting for centralized system of government. What we object is creating a political entity that can't sustain economically to both feed the fat politician and the needs of the people. Have you seen Biixi or Siilaanyo travel to Berbera and then greeted at the airport after his return with 300 "Af Mishaar" greeting him coming back from the two hour long trip. The bureaucracy is bigger than what it was intended to manage. You want federal system? fine. we will make the 18 regions electing their governors and making government accountable for the people. Why would a person in Gallkacayo has to beg those in Garoowe for development. All you create is few towns where NGO money and resources are eaten by the corrupt rulers. THey collect money from Lawyacado, yet the people of that town do not have water. If you keep mentioning the advanced world, then try to copy their system. A small town in Alberta with 10,000 people has bigger budget than Puntland. Why not allow cities to collect taxes and be accountable to the citizens. Why you centralizing resources to these false capitals. The more I look the current federal systems, they are nothing but the " Spaaro" of the nineties being modernized by the tribes to make money. We are India, Ethiopia or Canada. We are Somalis and we want something that alleviates poverty, develops our economy and resources, and keeps the cohesiveness of our people. Remember, these Meles designed systems will collapse in their own weight. Ask those from Sanaag and togdheer what have they gained for 30 years.
-
Apophis, I have met Kenyans in the diaspora, and they are well grounded and educated people. They welcomed hundred of thousands of Somalis throughout the years. Even those who traveled lately will tell you how patient they ate toward the foreigners including Somalis. As some one who comes from a border town, Ethiopia was always an enemy that colonized our people from the other side of the border. We never trusted them, and we were shocked when we saw Somali rebels joining them. As you said, the Kenyans are not historical enemies. It is up to them to respect our government and territorial integrity of our nation. Since their economy is liberalized trade with Kenya could grow in to billions. The Jubba issue could be resolved peacefully. They could be part of Amisom without deep attachment anyone leader. They will leave when the Amisom forces leave. I think it is up to Kenya to make things better for both people. Besides, if Madoobe loses, the winner will be his cousin from Af Madow. So, why complicate things?
-
OO, we were not against Ethiopia by irrational antipathy or just plain hatred. They unleashed angry and evil tribes to destroy our nations in early eighties. Later they armed criminals, extremists and every Somali warlord who wanted to be a player in a devastated country. They created a system of government that doesn't exist any where in the world but only Ethiopia. They created six presidents in a nation of 15 million people. If they change their behavior and cooperate with our government we will welcome them as a neighborly brothers as anyone. The current government is not pitting one Somali against the other. They are not dealing the regional governments as client states under their influence. So, if we have to build a pipeline across the region , it has to be both beneficial for us and them. This has nothing to do with Djibouti or anyone else. First , you have to find someone to finance it , then it has to be economically feasible. Furthermore, why would Somali livestock has to travel from Mustaxiil, Godey and Feer Feer to Djibouti?, that is illogic. As mentioned by Apophis Kenya has beggar economy than Ethiopia with half of the population. , it also has more stable and grounded system of government than Ethioipia, iyt has a British system. . We are willing to make business with the Kenyan people who are more educated and better organized than the 100 million hungry Ethiopians, but they have to change their policy toward the region and Jubaa in particular. The era of keeping a proxy " Maamul" within Somalia is over. We will be even kneecappings the separatists and their brethren in the north east if things go our ways. I think the Kenyans are getting bad advice from certain quarters that want to lead clashes with Somalia. We might be weak at the moment, but we do not mind to gain an enemy that will unite us. We, the Somali nomad always need and love to have an enemy to hate, and the Kikuyu could fit the bill. As you had seen in the news, the Somali army is on the move , and they are getting better everyday.
