Guys, Walaahi the East SAnaag community is the most honorable among Somalis. I am not saying this for political or personal reasons. THey never shed a Somali blood and never looted from other Somalis. They were never among those who depended on government largesse to survive. They are traders and builders. Their Great Suldaan is a man of his word. He talked to Muuse Biixi about six months ago and when MUuse lied and refused to respond he took action and told the SAnaag soldiers to abandon Somaliland. My Sanaag freinds told me that his word is like a rock. He isn't like those useless Suldaans from Awdal, Hargeisa or Sool. I don't pay attention to AllSanaag editor who doesn't offer much other than switching sides. That will make SAnaag community just like our Garaad community who are keep switching sides. Emotional people do not make good judgements. Here are the latest news from the Grandson of the great Suldaan Cali Shire: THe Suldaan want his community to set up its own Maamul and leave both Puntland and Somaliland. And I believe that would be a perfect solution than switch sides. The EAst SAnaag has bigger land than most clans in Somaliland from Cerigaabo to the Dhahar and Laasqoray. They got the most beautiful land. They have rich landscape that is fertile for agriculture, a savannah like planes for life stock breading, mountain ranges of Golis and the shores of their coast is close to both the INdian Ocean and the Red SEa. All they need is a great political leader . Since most Somali regions survive on the donations of the NGO's and the world, they will get their fair share and survive. They could build Laasqoray and export the millions of livestock in SAnaag. You know the time has come for Sanaag regional state. Maakhir is the land.

Certainly Mr. DEni is in hurry, yet on this issue he already planned ahead, of sacking the speaker, but it was executed poorly. I heard almost two weeks ago that the speaker will be sacked. The writing was at the wall. THere are few things we must consider: First, ' Farmaajo laga baqay' . As soon as the Deni camp, and in this case, the super majority of Puntlanders, suspected that there could be some quid pro quo --Trump style--within the office of the parliament chairman emanating from 'Nabad iyo Nolol' , they acted quickly. In fact , most Puntlanders agree the idea of kicking Mr, C/xakim Dhoobo out, not because he is from SAnaag, but was suspected to be a mall. Second, Mr.Deni already met the East Sanaag community and arranged not only to cut loose Mr. Dhoobo, but also find his replacement. The unfortunate thing is people had died because of the reckless actions of these two guys. They had also disturbed a peaceful city. Gooni, Saaxiib, Puntland lama Af gembiyo ee iyadaa wax af gembida. I would advise Nabad iyo Nolol to concentrate on Jubbland and leave alone 'Hooyada Fedearaalka' or else.

OO, Your buddy Cabdi Illey actually transferred Cadytu and another villages dominated by Somalis to the Afar KIlil. THese were disputed area were the majority bis Somali. According to the census it should be under Somali Kilil. Ilry gave and gave many regions to Oromia and Afar. Fat man Ghelle always shoots people. Let alone demonstrations, he can not even allow Somali websites to write something critical. Djibouti is cooking slowly. The internal tribes who agreed to loot the resources together will clash like criminals who would fight with the stolen goods.

While we have some meagre knowledge of the Ethiopian internal politics, most of us rely either through the internet, print or other international media. Also, we could be victims of our own biases while always projecting Somali centric agenda. So, in order to gage the latest Ethiopian political maneuvering, especially the ongoing conflict between the Oromo and Amhara and the power struggle between Abiy Ahmed and Jawar Mohamed, I talked to A Harari friend who is fluent in both Amharic, Afan Oromo and Arabic. Like most people from Diredhaba he is trilingual. Definitely he has opened my eyes to the internal dynamics of Otomo in particular and in Ethiopia in general. Yet, like anyone, he might have his own bias. Here is our conversation. Galbeedi: What is the latest developments in Ethiopia? Hareri man: Things are calmed down at the moment and there is a lot of reflection from each side. Certainly everyone probably realized that in multi ethnic Ethiopia of 80 different tribes , no one can get their way despite having large number of people whether it is Oromo, Amhara or others. Galbeedi: Is Jawar Mohamed ready to reconcile and join the the race? Hareri man: Jawar has no chance of winning an election in Ethiopia despite having a large following. Galbeedi: He has two million facebook followers and tens of millions of Oromo youth. If he combines that support with other groups, couldn't he seriously challenge Abiy and the EPRDF? Hareri man: First of all, the Oromo despite the Queero youth which showed the ability to quickly organize and sideline cities, the mainstream Oromo are not homogeneous or one single unit. They are probably four groups with totally divergent agenda. One group is the Wallega western Oromo ---Abiy Ahmed constituents---who are mainly protestant Pentecostal or as the called in Ethiopia ' Pente' . These group are pro Abiy Ahmed and pro Ethiopia just like the Amhara. The second group is OLF rebels who just came from exile and have big presence in the diaspora. I don't know if you heard, but they had huge welcoming party in Calgary, Alberta with Jawar where women gave jewelry and money to their hero. This group are mostly Agnostic and Animist and doesn't believe either Islam or Christianity. They might have Muslim or other traditional Oromo names but are largely animist. These groups are 100% separatist who do not believe in Ethiopia. In fact, if you look back and see the earlier broadcasts of Jowar until as late as 2017, he never mentioned Ethiopia and always campaigned as Oromo nationalist who wanted separate Oromo homeland. The third group is the large Oromo whose land stretches from Diredhaba all the way to Admo who are farmers. These are the masses that are the victims of the Ethiopian empire who felt being marginalized and oppressed. They are huge , yet on their own they can not win elections or gain power by themselves. The last group is Shawan Oromo who consider themselves more elite than others and are intended to rule Ethiopia while keeping and reviving the Oromo power. So, Mr. Jawar might get one out of three or maximum 2/4 which is not translated electoral victory. Galbeedi: I thought Jawar campaigned with the Amhara to oust the TPLF prior to 2018. Besides, if the country fragments politically, does those who have one solid block have more chances than others? Hareri man: Of course. The Amhara own 90% of the radio and Television broadcasting from America and Europe . Other than Facebook, Jawar and Oromo doesn't have loud mouth media. The Amhara had given Jawar platforms and they combined their forces to weaken the TPLF, but as soon as he came to Ethiopia, he targeted them by claiming Addis Ababa and advocating only for Oromo in order to get political traction and try to steal supporters from Abiy. He went sectarian and with what happen last week, he will remain a sectarian politician not a national leader. In Ethiopia , at the moment the only Oromo who could win national election is Abiy. If Jawar gets the majority or 60% of the Oromo vote he can not win because he will not be getting one single vote from Amhara, Tigray, Gyraghe and others. He has narrowed his appeal to the disgruntled Oromo and the unemployed youth which doesn't have long term plan. Galbeedi: How about Somalis and Afar? Since we are against everything Amhara we might vote those who are pro autonomy like the Oromo of Jawar? Hareri man: Have you traveled the Somali countryside? I traveled from Diredhaba to Harar and Jigjiga. There is genuine fear of Oromo among the farmers, villagers and towns about the Oromo mob. People who doesn't live in the region are bused from outside to cause mayhem. You could see people who are drunk and given machete and other weapons to cause senseless crimes. I do not think that Somalis or the Afar would vote for Jowar or the Queero led party. Galbeedi: isn't the Queero who marched in the streets of Oromia and paid the high price of being shot killed ? Isn't the Queero who brought the freedom everyone enjoying including the corrupt tribal Somalis? Hareri man: Yes they did and sacrifice life and limbs , but if they keep this road of total mob , they could lose what they have gained. They can realize their dreams of being free and prosperous through the Abiy led revolution. They must realize that this is a country of 80 tribes. In the Hareri city of Harar and surrounding area, they took over farms and homes at daylight. They would come to your shop and demand money or the next night night they might torch your shop. Abiy just came two days ago to Harar and promised people that he will get them back all the property they lost. Galbeedi: Do you agree with me that this Abiy guy is very slow in reacting with displacement of the innocent people and the insecurity in Ethiopia in general. Hareri man: Yes and no. Of course he is slow, but he himself was asked this many times and he answered in sersible way. He doesn't want to be heavy handed and crackdown dissent especially after winning the Nobel Prize . From what I hear, he is waiting to get elected and have a full legitimacy and power after the election. Remind you that he was appointed now by his own party , but he wants to have full powers and then he might intervene directly to these mobs. Galbeedi: Yet, things are getting bad as days go by. Hareri man: The man has inherited a mess. This nation was oppressed for thousands of years. It is the first time people openly criticize their government . Every ethnic group want their issues be addressed today not tomorrow. You have Amhara and Oromo making life difficult for the prime minister. He can't choose one from the other. You have Tigray waiting in the wings and indirectly encouraging civil strive. Some of the major mistakes he did was allowing the armed wings like OLF and Ginbot 7 to enter the country from outside and instigate trouble. He should have waited to bring them back until he consolidated power. Galbeedi: The Tplf has cordoned and secluded in their region. What is going on? and what can Abiy do about these guys who are almost out of the door? Hareri man: At the moment he can not do much. The Tigray are waiting and encouraging the chaos to take place. Abiy can't intervene militarily which could exacerbate the whole issue. With Eritrea on the north and whole of Ethiopia in South, they will be boxed if they make a wrong move, and at the moment, they can not go anywhere. They have all the looted resources and money at the moment but that will not last forever. Galbeedi: The TPLF are at war with the Amhara, they hate Abiy and Oromo. They pretty much isolated, isn't it? Hareri man: The whole TPLF and EPRDF system has collapsed after Meles. The former leader has invested billions of infrastructure throughout the regions, but also kept the system and state machine run smoothly. If you visit Southern Nations region like Shamshamne and Hawaash you will be shocked the clean streets with lights and lakes which will remind you the first world. Tourism is thriving in those region , and you can reach their with four lane highway with pristine lakes. During his reign ethnic tensions in the regions were low. After the death of Meles the Tigray leadership especially the military went rogue and started looting openly. Meles helped the TPLF but in gradual and organized way without undermining the system. Desalegn was just a puppet. Even Cabdi Illey said that it was the military who put the gun in my head. MOst of the development in the Somali kilil took from 2007-2013. They--TPLF-- somehow felt the end and looted banks and government agencies which were mostly under military. Abiy knew their crimes and gradually he eliminated their influence. Galbeedi: so, is Abiy just waiting for the election to take place? also, is Ethiopia ready for election? Hareri man: Actually Abiy said that he is not afraid of election. Despite the logistic nightmares of holding elections in Ethiopia, he is ready. At the moment there is no one who can beat him in election. Also, the Oromo doesn't understand that Abiy was with TPLF for 20 years and he and Lema were insiders who knows their moves. He was the chief architect of the intelligence security. He knows how the TPLF eliminated the Amhara power gradually from 1991 and eventually finish them off and make them irrelevant. He is probably using the same way to sideline his enemies slowly. The Tigray are not stupid. If chaos comes to Ethiopia they will have legitimate right to protect their homeland and even try to succeed from Ethiopia. They can convince the international community of their desire to protect their homeland from the Rwanda style chaos. By the way, they have an established and strong relationship with Israel and many western countries whom they had both security and regional cooperation throughout the years. Any way, their only hope is chaos. After the election, they will be confronted . They can't keep the large portion of Ethiopian mechanized brigades and other arms for now, but also Some of the air force has been already moved to Arba Minch and other places. Galbeedi: How about the Amhara? They are calling Jawar Al-Qaeda or extremist Muslim. Are they still dreaming the long gone Ethiopia?. Hareri man: Amhara are pushing a civil war among the Oromo, but I do not thing that will take place . When I talk to Amhara , I usually tell them that their old Ethiopia is gone , and it will take long long time before you dream of ruling Ethiopia. The problem is the Amhara consider themselves as the original Ethiopia and everyone else as an immigrant who was included by just because of the empire. Galbeedi: Yet Abiy is pushing Amhara centric idea and language. Hareri man: Abiy is Ethiopian nationalist and he believes that having one common language like Amhara will hold together the 80 tribes of Ethiopia. It will take many years and billions to create and new common language. Galbeedi: Well English could fill the void easily. Hareri man: Ethiopians feel to be an old civilization and want to keep these old language to show the outside world that they were the land of origins where e Europeans colonizers failed. Galbeedi: What is next for Jawar? :Hareri man: Didn't you see the tweet by Trump? He said @ I know Jawar is American citizen but we will not allow incitement and violence. Galbeedi: That means the clever Amhara had reached the white house. Hareri man: I think a lot of gruesome pictures were published by the media . Remember , the failure of ten million Somalis in 1991 had affected the whole region and Somali refugees reached the world, imagine the violent collapse of 100 million? . I think no one will allow chaos in Ethiopia. Galbeedi: what is the relationship between the Muslim community and Abiy Ahmed? Hareri man; Abiy has been very good for our community. He united the fragmented Muslim leadership in Addis as he also united the two branches of the Ethiopian Orthodox leadership. The last Desalegn government has arrested and forced Lebanon based Habasha sect to the Addis Ababa mosques and leadership. After the locals refused they arrested dozens of Imams and kept them in jail for years. Abiy released them and conveined a unity conference and locals elected their leadership. Now Addis has a unified and stable Imams. Also, in order to avoid the constant congestion of Friday prayers which over floods to main streets and caused traffic nightmares for the locals were resolved after Abiy gave them one of the largest open land in Addis and told them to build a mosque that accomodate tens of thousands. When some Amhara complained---who else but Amhara-- he told them that their mega churches could accommodate football stadiums and dozen mosques. He was the first ever leader in Ethiopia who appointed Muslim women wearing Hijaab to ministerial and ambassadorship. The Addis Muslim community is 100% for Abiy. Galbeedi: in your opinion, will Jawar Mohamed run for election and challege Abiy? Hareri man: Most educated and main stream Oromo knows that any Oromo challenging Abiy is bad news and will indirectly empower the Amhara. Jawar has narrow sectarian support. To rule multiethnic Ethiopia you must have support among the diverse regions. What ever good will the Oromo had few years ago was tarnished by the blind mob that destroys everything. No other ethnic group will vote or Queero led movement of Jawar. That is folks. The Hareri mam is voting for Abiy.

Mr. Khayre deserves four more years. This man is more capable than the corrupt oligarchs convened by Kenya. I can't believe that the Kenyan leadership is using the talking points of the Somali opposition. THey said , they have no ' issue with Somalia but with the leadership of Khayre and Farmaajo'. Well, Somalia has one leadership at the time and they should deal with the legitimate leaders of Somalia. We don't distinguish Odinga or Kenyatta because we believe that they all serve Kenya's interest.

The question why the police chiefs are dying suddenly in Somaliland. These are not usual deaths.
-
Cadnaan1, Dadku waa kala daan Hargeisa. Magaalada waa lakala degan yahay. No one can get a land to build a house in the neighborhood that belongs to the Suldaanka and Daanta this man is talking about. At least you could find different people on shacabka and 26 Juun side, but Suldaanka area is no go area. A friend who came from Mogadishu had found out that the young men who came from Hargeisa are shocked how the people of Mogadishu doesn't care which tribe they belong. They might identify them with Somaliland but the people generally do not care about their tribe. He said that some of the young men who grew up during the sermons of Faysal Waraabe and others who describe the southern Somalis as evil people who would murder nor mistreat anyone from the north were shocked to find out how friendly is Mogadishu. Waxa lagu yidhi dhalinta koonfurtu waa dadkii idin laayey , waa dad dugaag ah oo cadaw ah. That was how these kids grew up. Yet, suddenly they saw unlike Hargeisa people are mixed and no one cares about their tribe. Today in Hargeisa people from west Hargeisa do not dare to go the Daanta of this old man. Anyway, the biggest news of all this drama is that this the third police chief to die for the last eight years. In fact, the deputy police chief who supposed to take over from the one who died yesterday had stroke and almost in death bed. Go figure why they dying and dropping like flies. Malaha xaqii dadka ayaa ka dilaacay. Dambigii ummadda ayaa laga goynayaa. They will arrest you just before sun down and will keep you in jail at night until you pay the ransom. The Hargeisa jails are full of people.

Beledweyne should never have been a town for big settlement. The depth of the river is not that deep when it crosses the city and the river banks are almost equal to the ground level. Any unusual rain or stream flow will guarantee flooding. Yet, it never happened on this level in eighties, seventies or even nineties. I think it is time for a new city at higher elevation area like 'Centa Kun Disha '. A guy from Beledweyne said that there used to be a levy to protect the city from flooding and somehow disappeared either by erosion or people might have taken the cement . This is happening a second time in three years . Something serious must be done. Another way to save the city is to create a flood diversion channels that could take the excess water to reservoirs or flood the areas where there is no major settlements. Furthermore, maybe we should build dams for this excess water and create electricity for the people of the region from Hiiraan all the way to Mogadishu. Well that is just a thought , but we have to get out of the quagmire first. Anyway, we all should take part the fundraising that is aimed at helping our people in Hiiraan.

Maakhiri, Meeshaan ballaaya lagu karinaya. This tinder box of ethnic nationalism might explode soon.
-
The constitution thing doesn't an army or major efforts. They could appoint like minded Somalis and then bring to the parliament after consultation with the public and the stakeholders. If Farmaajo guarantees that he will not run again but would like to finish the security issues, I would give him two more years.
-
Dhaqaale, 15 million people with eight presidents and their combined budget is not even $400 million. It is a small fish jumping up and down in a small dirty pond. He will fly back and another 200 landcruisers will welcome him for coming back home after a long trip. Damn that diminutive Males Zanawi had convinced the Somali nomads to have nine presidents just like in his Ethiopia, yet he said in Ethiopia all the powers will be exercised by the prime minister. By the way, there is no single country in the world with eight presidents other than those created by Meles. The stupid temporary constitution must be fixed and the parliament must pass quickly to amend these false titles and call them governors, or some other names.
-
Certainly will be very bad, because Shariif will be doing nothing but replace Farmaajo and will neglect the work at hand. Khayre has shown to be hard working and without conflict with the president. Everyone says that these two guys Khayre and FArmaajo must finish their job. There is no big deal for the parliament to give them two year extension and finish their programs. In the real world where there is peace and stability , government policies take time and space to be implemented. The parliament has the power not old leaders especially Shariif Ahmed who had one year extension for the earlier road map. We have seen eight years of these guys already. what would they bring now?
-
Che, our wars are just skirmishes and shooting with guns to unknown people. While some bad things happen during the civil war, we are not even close to these bloody murders in Ethiopia , South Africa or other places. THe media doesn't mention but the Amhara had committed genocide against the KImnat people and others in their killil. In fact, their propaganda is all about killing people and tooting with guns. Here are some of their propaganda and arming themselves.
-
Why would Hassan Sheikh who just vacated the place want to run again. Maybe he should wait two terms and then see what happens. Furthermore, the Unaka think they own the crown which is totally unacceptable. Anyway, the latest news from Mogadishu is that there was a negotiations between Farmaajo and Shariif Ahmed. The Farmaajo government want to finish its security programs and rebuilding of the army , hence it needs two more year to finish the job and leave the arena for next candidates. It will be useless to keep recycling old leaders without finishing the current job. The biggest agenda of the opposition who convened in Kismaayo wasn't only about Ahmed Madoobe but to challenge and reject any extension by Nabad Iyo Nolol. The latest unverified gossip says that Shariif Ahmed will be offered the premiership next summer or late 2020 which will allow Farmaajo to finish the job at hand. Anyway, if it is true, then it is a shame a group of failed politicians must be bribed to finish the national agenda.

Where are the so called UN monitoring group partying in Nairobi hotels?. Why not not investigate these small arms who are used to assassinate and kill people quietly through the region. Are these shipments coming from ships in Berbera or Djibouti?. We need real investigation. If this weapons reach the volatile regions of Ethiopia it could be deadly. At the moment most of the Ethiopian protesters use sticks or other homemade weapons. If these small arms reach the region May God save the people.
-
After two shipments of weapons were captured in Wajaale , destined to Ethiopia, another shipment was captured in Gogti border town last week. The smugglers were trying to use the Ethiopian side border town of Gogti. Some how the locals were alerted by the unusual shipments that came all the way from Hargeisa to this side of the Awdal region. Most of these weapons are destined to Addis Ababa. Reliable sources said that the local mayor and the police had alerted the federal police about these new tactics of the smugglers to target this side of the border. The Awdal side of the border were closed for the last 10 years due to bribes paid to Cabdi Illey and other sources in Jigjiga. According to people in Jigjiga, The Facebook president of the Somali region , Mr. Cagjar , has been bribed to the tune of $800,000 dollars from Somaliland delivered by Suldaan Hassan. Weapon smuggling is becoming a big business in Somaliland. Personally, I do not know the routes these weapons take to reach WAjaale. So far we haven't heard the conclusions of these investigations. The narrator in the video says the weapons were from Turkey which is very suspect. Even seven kilogram of raw gold has been captured in Wajaale early this year. Yet, the Hargeisa administration want to make the lives of the people of Awdal difficult with false flags to cripple the economy of the people. Since he was paid and bought , Mr. Cagjar , whom people say was born in a famous street called 'F' in Hargeisa, will soon be starting his dirty work in the Awdal region. The Awdal community in Ethiopia are trying to get their fair share of development and infrastructure in the Somali Kilil and have no intention of waging any wars in the Awdal region of Somaliland which is counter productive to their inside Ethiopia.
-
It is all fake. A gunman who fires to the sky at 2AM, and then disappears in the dark doesn't need to cross to the border to be captured by Ethiopia. Eye witnesses told us zero damage to the walls and trees of the station. This fake news has been published by Ooweynenew and others and now writing in English won't make it real.
-
Even Faysal Waraabe says ' Way kibreen reer Borama'. What we have is achieved without one single penny from the Hargeisa government, despite having corrupt and incompetent mayors selected by the interior ministry for us. Imagine what we could have achieved getting some of those millions wasted in Hargeisa. Wabar is sipping tea in Addis. His group voted for Kulmiye.
-
Saalax, Yes, they voted 90% Kulmiye because of C/raxman Zaylici and Samater. From THe Lugahaya community so far Muuse dismissed up eight appointed positions including general Xudhun , commander of the Somaliland jails ( Ciidanka Asuulbta). We warn them before but they never listened. In there is ever going to be an election again, Kulmiye will lose big time this time around in Somaliland. In Hargeisa they are selling public parks and even Khayriyada where people gather. Here is the latest reliable news about the fireworks in the station: Around 2AM a couple of guys went near the station police and fired few rounds to the sky (Cirkay kor ugu rideen). Then another guys at the station did the same thing and fired to the sky. No one chased anyone, no damage was found in the station walls or the building. Definitely this is false flag. On the Ethiopian border since the down fall of the TPLF the border from Awdal, especially Awbare entrance, Dharwanaaje and Gogti are busy. Cars and trucks are travelling uninterrupted all the way to Diredhaba and Jigjiga. Someone definitely want to close the border. The road between Djibouti--Borama --Jigjiga was signed by Somali, Ethiopia and Djibouti which supposed to start this January , 2020, yet they are trying to make these area a conflict zone and stop this life sustaining road.. Imagine a farmer was killed in Libaaxley close to the border, yet the army were sent to confiscate farms in the opposite direction of the coast and create conflict. Allah Aamin ma iisho.

Those who want to change the name to Nazaret are probably Amhara. Didn't these Amhara done enough? Why they keep pushing the old system. The Amhara should know their old Ethiopia is gone and will never come back.
