What will American Muslim voters will do in 2024.? I say vote Biden out and teach him a good lesson.
-
Che, Two things first before I try to educate some of our friends here. First this chant of the Ethiopian army saying the " The Sea is ours" isn't a new, second, it wasn't intended for Zaylac despite playing with emotions of the Somali public. If you are old enough, you could be familiar the Derg chant of the Amharic word, " Min Ale Dergu Min Ale? Eritrean La Arab Al satin Ale". Which roughly translators ," what did the Derg said, they said we will not give Eritrea to the Arabs". In this case the chant is and always was about Assab port which ethiopia controlled and owned for more than 70 years. It was Meles Zenawi who gave away the port without nothing to exchange in 1993 Eritrean referendum. Just five years after that decision in 1998, he tried to depose Asias Afework and take it back from Eritrea. With strong and emerging nationalist Eritrea led by former rebels who fought both Haile Salasie and Mengistu that was unacceptable and the war ended with few hamlets changing hands and hundreds of thousands of casualty. Since then from 2000 on Eritrea faced with crippling sanctions and total isolation. Afework, despite the economic hardships he maintained a unified Eritrea and tough grip on power. Thousands of the youth left the country for better economic conditions and for some freedom. Despite all this hardship, Eritrea remains one of the few countries without foreign debt and control. Yet, cracks are appearing in the country as of lately. Some of you might have seen the riots taking place in foreign capitals between rival groups of pro Afework and the opposition. In our town in Alberta Canada, police swat teams intervened when rival groups clashed about who should be holding the national day of Eritrea. Furthermore, the Afars are the predominant population of the city today. Since the Ethiopian trade stopped from 1998, Assab is a ghost town with a population of 20,000 people and with almost zero tourism. Furthermore, in the current Ethiopian conflict, Afework is allied with the Amhara against Abiy. while he helped Abiy defeat the TPLF, If any minor disturbances take place in Eritrea, Assab will be in the hands of Ethiopia. Within Ethiopia today, the talk is Assab not Zaylac. It takes less than 50 miles to cross from Assab to major Ethiopia settlements. Since Aby Ahmed is always embarking new methods to advance his ideas, I agree that both the Tigray and Amhara will support him if moves to take Assab, yet I don't believe Abiy will take the port through war, but other means. I could tell you that Ethiopia with already Somali Galbeed within Ethiopia, there is no political, geographical or geopolitical reason to take a land within Somalia. Land swabs usually within indigenous populations who have disputes might take place as was proposed with the Israelis and Palestinians. Turkey is trying to connect with Azerbaijan through Armenia by proposing a mutually agreed train and highway infrastructure. Just taking over Zaylac isn't happening. I am glad the Zaylac talk has morphed into a fake nationalist propaganda by the failing Hargeisa entity. Our friend Carafaat is even proposing a war that combines Djibouti and Hargeisa which is nothing but an old alliance against Awdal people in the late eighties, but I can assure we won't be alone if that war comes and this fake despots in Djibouti and Hargeisa would lose. News flash boys. My opinion( which is the manifestations of Awdal State Movement) has more weight than most of you here, because it based on facts, figures and the future, and not about emotions and fake Soomaalinimo waged by those who burned the blue flag and prosecuted many Somalis including just by wearing blue. It was Ina Cali Waraabe who said, " A boy from Addis is more close to me than the one in Mogadishu". Furthermore, these Somalis never showed any hostility towards the TPLF for fragmenting Somalia for the last 27 years. I am saying that first thing is first. We will be taking over Awdal despite the barking dogs and will reach our destinations. Any thing else is a second thought. If we ride someone else's camel to reach our goal, we will do as many of you guys have done in the past. Also, unlike you guys, we don't consider the Ethiopia of Abiy Ahmed worse than the Derg of Mengistu or the 30 year rule of the TPLF. We believe the new Ethiopia to be different than the TPLF many Somalis served and used willingly including the secessionist entity in Hargeisa. I will leave there the Zaylac issue for now. Now let us address the so called Somali outfits masquerading as states before their eventual collapse just like the Hargeisa one which doesn't even realize by preparing another wae against SSC which will eliminate them for good. The so called Somali run states exist in name only whether it is Djibouti, Somali galbeed or the Habro project in Hargeisa, or the Madoobe run outfit in Kismaayo or even the HAG (Federal government). Puntland might be different if they survive Deni and will explain later. None of them is self sustaining and they will collapse sooner or later. They couldn't function a month without the foreign aid. Djibouti run out of money in the year 2000/2002, and civil servants, teachers and others left for Belgium, Canada and France. It was saved by the so called war on terror and rental of bases to half a dozen countries. There is no work ethics among the ruling clan including the private sector or even those who came to the diaspora, I know many of them receive money from Djibouti while most Somalis send money back home. The moment America and others close their bases, Djibouti will be out of business and might collapse within or from some minor intervention from outside. There are not even 10% of population who are middle class. A very small number , probably 1% upper class looters control everything, the rest are poor beggars or low wage earners. DEspite their fake military parades, Djibouti doesn't even have a fighting force. Their youth were destroyed by Khat or idle sitting. Eritrea could overrun them in a day if war breaks out. That is the top food chain nation among the so called recognized state run by Somalis and few Afars. Here in DDS, the Djibouti run clan has the deputy leadership here and in charge of the Siti zone, yet their leadership doesn't bring any developments except few towns west of Shiniile. They have zero business in Jigjiga, and few even in Diredhabe. We need experts to study this , but clans who are in power in these parts had lost their work ethics and could only survive through looting to gain un earned material. Others with almost no levers of power within the government are fairings much better in terms trade and other means of earning livelihood. Jigjiga is no more a Somali city . Folks, take the above statement very seriously because it is coming from an astute observer, yours truly Mr. Galbeedi. By observing those who are walking the streets of Jigjiga,, more than 50% of the people are either Oromo, Amhara or from southern communities. Every functioning business, shop, bar, restaurant, construction site, mechanical skills ( car mechanic, computer repair shop, smartphone repair, driver of heavy equipment...Etc) and federal government offices, be the airline ticket offices, banks or airports are run by none Somalis. Amhara alone have three districts within Jigjiga with well established schools and businesses. The ruling clan might build a big hotel ( what else would they know) and big glass building with looted money but with little tangible profit and no long term sustainability, even those are run by none Somalis.. The small infrastructure you see in the city were built by Abdi Illey with iron fist. The small clan that says Unaka Leh Jigjiga might own the plot of lands that surround the city, but Somalis from all walks of life reside here with some communities whose settlement are 20 km. During the last election, Cagjar said elections of the city council will be monopolized by only this tiny clan and others including the Awdal community rejected that and fielded their own candidates. After the clashes, the federal election commission suspended the election. It is like saying Reer Galmudug or Unaka will only run in Mogadishu elections while denying Reer Daynile, Jareer, Reer Bay or others who live stones throw from the city. The gridlock has parallelized services . Furthermore, the Amhara, Oromo and others want to join the local government and they might get their wish soon. The inability for lower class Somalis to earn a wage and work had disappeared and was replaced by people from Southern communities. Wages in Jigjiga are higher than even in Addis Ababa which attracts many people from Wallo to Sidamo. As Jigjiga loses its unique Somali character, the OG leadership doesn't have an answer to either transform the city into a multicultural booming place or encourage Somalis to settle the place and eliminate the clan thing. As we speak they are deliberating how to abandon Jigjiga and move the capital to Godey. It will be difficult to create another capital at this stage. In 1991, OG has abandoned Diredhabe, a multicultural city with Somali majority, but those who were in position of leadership felt uncomfortable to the multilingual city. and run away to their village. Unlike Somalis, the Oromo had moved their capital from Adamo to Finfine (Adiis Ababa) relocating the government operation to the federal capital. When I asked a guy how could this be possible, he said, it is the capital of many things: African, Ethiopian and Oromo capital, and we insisted to be our capital too. Go figure. From the Somali outsiders point of view the Oromo could be characterized as disorganized and unstable due to the clashes with their neighbors, but Oromo state is much better than the Somali state in every metric. Hadamo is a very clean city with well lit street lites, green parks, gardens and beautiful streets. You could see a well dressed police officers with motorbikes, cars and pickups and organized buildings. Their countryside is is green with farms and small towns all in orderly with no garbage in the streets or buildings. They are on the move. Hargeisa , the second biggest city calling it self a capital has no roads with garbage littered in the streets. Even in Addis, the most disorderly and disorganized place with traffic jam is Bole Mikael. While we are savvy in business and traders, rules don't apply to us. As I said before, we have been watching this for 30 years or more after you destroyed the Somali state and you created nothing. I can assure you that some of us are determined to build something better than for whay you wasted for 32 years. A very strange phenomenon that I observer is that the Geda....si people in DDS will tell you that they want this colonial border to disappear. Very strange indeed. Carafaat, saaxiib soonka adkeyso hawluhu meel adag ayey marayaane. By the way, some D block boys will serve the colonial powers as long as they are " The Boy" and put in charge of other Somalis. The Habro are emotional and child like characters and the HAG are anarchists who will murder you for your Iphone. In nations and in geopolitics it is a phrase called " Fait Accompli", Waar maxaa tal ah? Will tell you soon how they will all collapse.

I know we would be much better than begging a hungry tribe. I met this young man who was one among 200 Habro kids given for scholarship in Ethiopia way back, and he said he had to employ for the service of his maternal uncles to save his seat .Carafaat, I knew you guys are deeply tribal people but I didn't how ruthless and ultra nepotistic you are. You can't even allow a fishing port in Lughaya or 6 KM of road from the so called Berbera corridor to pass Awdal villages. This despotic Biixi is doomed . He used his henchmen in the cabinet to shoot our Ugaas to come to Borama for the fear he might assist those who were refusing to participate the election before power sharing. For all these years he never publicly apologized for this incident, furthermore, just after the shoot out he welcomed other chiefs from Djibouti . Shalay tabar buu lahaa, laakiin talo ma hayn. Maantana tabar ma leh taladiisuna ma sugna. He is a dead horse which can't be revived.

Look this kid. Garaadku Magaaladisi wuu joogaa dhulkiisiina waa u madax banaan yahay. Furthermore, the East Burco broker ( Dilaal) called Buurmadow was trying to repemind Garaad Jaamac for meeting our Ugaas. He said somethng like " I supported you to join Somalia and rule your land but don't interfere with Reer Awdal who are not supposed to be out of our system" It tells me the Habro only know force and the barrel of the gun. Carafaat, the so called recognition is done, everyone from members of parliament to Buurmadow is asking to leave SSC alone, but to keep Awdal. How about peaceful separation? Remember our Ugaas is unique. There is no Suldaan, Cheif Aqil or fake kings who could be equated in terms stature. He doesn't talk much, he says few words every few years and our people listen to him.

I thought Illyria was a guy who traveled extensively to the north and had enough knowledge to the mechanics of developments and how it is managed and allocated. Of course you could build a road in your village and connect some neighboring towns, but trade routes and major development roads paid by others are strictly controlled and jerrymandered. The issues here is that the road supposed to cross some towns belonging to the Awdal community before it goes west to Ethiopia. Now the new design totally deviates from the 6 km or so that supposed to cross Awdal side but made to deviate further to 13 km is the issue. They wouldn't even allow the road to cross or reach our settlement.

Faysal waraabe said: " Qabiil Zaylac ma bixin karo, Zaylac waa Soomaaliland, waxaan u sheegaya beesha Isaaq in ay iskugu timaado Baligubadle oo ay ka tashato arrimahan" You see how delusional the leadership is? He calls for his Qabiil to convene and stop another clan to negotiate their own ports.

MMA, If this is Baydhabo Janaay then the good mayor has done miracles. Tell him to add more public spaces, parks and walkways. Both Hargiesa , Mogadishu, Borama and maybe even Boosaaso got nothing but suffocating buildings with no where to sit. He should plan now before it grows to a giant city. Imagine walking in the city and you can't find any bench to sit or any park to relax. Parks, open spaces, beeraha xoriyada, jardiinooyin, public health, education and secure borders, proud somalis and more were the legacy of the Kacaankii Barakeysnaa. When we were young we didn't know. Even being punctual at work was called Guulwade.

Carafaat, Why complicate things? Why you want to be bigger than your life constrains? The idea of Somaliland project is dead. Why spend your meagre resources on arms and keep the old conidial idea. I know succession is the only glue that holds Habro together and for some abandoning that is difficult. If we tried few years ago , you would have accused us of denying Habro their rightful government under the sun. Now, the horses have left the barn and it is waste of time and recourses to keep this huge parliament in Hargeisa and 40 members of parliament. Focus more in development, good governance and rule of law after 32 years of uncertainty. We will still be brothers and good neighbors.

One of the ladies is the wife of theUgaas and the other one is the sister of Abiy Ahmed. By the way Xaaji Ahmed Cali the father of Abiy is from H. Cafaan a prominent sub clan of Awdal. So it was a family reunion. Maakhiri, As you said the first priority is to liberate Awdal every thing else is secondary

I am familiar with the Siralanka port . After investing billions on infrastructure the government could not pay the debt and in exchange they took over the port to run 99 years or something. If the Chinese comes to Zaylac by way Ethiopia and build ports and major roads connecting to Ethiopia I would welcome it. In the meantime, if they even take over the port and run for our benefit I would welcome that too. If someone, like the case of Siralanka, someone builds electric grids, roads, airports and ports and in exchange takes over a port it could be a great exchange. from 1960 to 1990 Africa didn’t even know what infrastructure meant and thanks to Chinese and Turks and others they finally noticing the potential. Since the launch of BRI the Chinese GDP had doubled despite the billions spent. If not the Ethiopian who else would built? The bloody UAE? No way. Anyway everything is academic discussion if don’t take over Awdal administration first. I know Awdal issue is more difficult than SSC. The SSC were a group of people who joined the Somaliland project reluctantly and they always expected to take their and either join their cousins or stay autonomous. Our issue is involving Djibouti, Somaliland and Ethiopia. It is a geopolitical matter that could affect the trade of the region and the ports of Djibouti and Berbera. Furthermore, we aren’t doing anything different than you guys did in recent history , especially the Puntlanders. So give us a break and see what we bring in the table after we take over of Awdal. I know the Hargeisa Habro whose ideology was based to hate Somalia and anything blue are talking about defending the homeland which a fake tears. If they really want to safe the nation and bring sanity to the issue, why not declare the fake secession dead and negotiate with the rest. Then we could all be brothers and build our ports modelling Garacad or something. Another thing is that you guys , the rebels who destroyed our country have bragging for decades about your fake victory against the Somali state not régime because we know the difference between regime change and destruction of the state. You guys have been talking about Siyaad this and Siyaad that and couldn’t establish anything similar to the great Somali state which was weakened in late eighties. We have been watching while you used different kind of political muscle to gain the upper hand and using the unending quarrels . What is happening in Mogadishu is nothing but the extension of the USC anarchy takes different shapes, either as tribe, Maxakamado, Ciimaamad, Reer Galmudug and so on. The Habro had 30 years to build something and the meagre institutions that existed were built by Dahir Rayaale and when he left everything crumbled. Do guys think the decent Somalis will keep watching this dysfunction and clan excess? Awdal trying a different route is one of the reactions. Anyway, I am writing in small iPhone screen due to travel, but will discuss extensively about these issues soon.

Illyria, what a meant is international borders are sacrosanct , Ethiopia will not allow the freedom of Somaligalbred or others regions to be independent, how could they be allowed to take a province of Somalia. We need to develop our ports and the only way to do it is to dislodge Awdal from the Habro project. Garacad is a Somali owned project and we could do the same thing but that isn’t allowed under the DP World contract. Furthermore, we don’t want a big empty port without market. It is the basic theory of successful business, before you produce the product you should have a market and that is the goal. We even found out that Ethiopia has proposed the Zaylac port shares before, but they rejected in order to monopolize trade .There is a blueprint the Habro had secretly written in 1990 in a place called Qaaxo which stipulates to control trade and keep the opposite clans poor so the might not have the resources to procure arms. Abiy could talk as much as he want , but at the end no one could take our land by force. It is the nature of the clans to not give an inch to the rival clan. The Chinese are leasing and running ports around the world and this one will not be deferent.

Biden is done. These liberal interventionist are complicit in war crimes and will not be re-elected coming 2024. It was the Muslim votes of Michigan that put them to win in 2020. Where the so called progressives who used to be anti war?. I don’t know the exact words, but, when Bush Jr. invaded Afghanistan , the late Mullah Omar said : you invaded our country and came to occupy and we will defend our home and expel you and Allah will be the judge. He didn’t say victory will be ours , but 20 years later the Americans left Afghanistan with same rush and haste they come and the son of Mullah Omar is a minister in the Talibaan government. American ships and Israeli army against rag tag Hamas is the biggest event of 21st century

Garacad was possible because in Puntland the people are free to build ports, airports or any other business infrastructure. Biixi and company will not allow any competition to Berbera. Heck, they are even blocking small fishing port in Lughaya or small size ports for the locals to trade with Yemen and other local gulf ports for " Bagaash" . The DP World contract with the Habro will not allow a port anywhere west of Berbera for the next 25 years. You guys must understand that we have been blockaded for 30 years. Both Cumar Geelle and Habro had decided to keep our people in one town called Borama which is just an open jail. THey took over everything and nothing is left for us. They got the capital, the commercial capital, the ports, the trade routes and blockaded us to avoid any coemption. You can't be at the mercy of hungry clan who fears anyone else. You get to be free before you build and trade. I know Abiy is talking about getting ports, but there has to be a mutual agreements, no one can annex Awdal or any part of the Somali Republic. Nothing is done in Jubbalnd without the permission of Kenya and their officials even talk publicly about annexing Kismaayo and the coastal area and I don't hear anyone complaining. If Tigray, Somali Galbeed and others couldn't separate from Ethiopia why would Awdal join another nation? it is impossible. WE estimated the cost about $400 million including roads and there are even Ethiopian business men who are willing to have shares. This is a game changer for us. Late president Cigaal told the little Djibouti gangster Cumar Geelle who was running the show before his uncle passed away to keep out of the affaires of trades of the region and even closed the border one time. After Cigaal , all we got was paid stooges. Rayaale has allowed free hand for Geelle and was given a Djibouti passport and settled in Paris. The hungry boys from east Burco were oligarchs interested only for cash, and finally we got the warlord owned and financed by the Geelle family. The SSC had their Ha...t cousins for help, but we got Awdalites from Harowo toJigjiga, Diridhabe and Djibouti to set up the free Awdal Maamul with ports, trade routes and everything else. I know we came late to the throat cutting games of Somalia, but we better late than never.
-
It is definitely us. The wording wasn't perfect, but we need foreign investment and Abiy's Ethiopia could be a good partner to link our future ports with millions of Somalis and the 20 million Oromo's in Hararghe region of Ethiopia.. It is better than Dubai taking over Boosaaso and running it to the ground; the empty vessel of Berbera run by the delusional clan or even Kismaayo owned by the Kenyans. The Habro had 32 years but they decided to eat their cake and hell with the rest. Furthermore, their is deep down believe that we could be probably Switzerland if Awdalites run our place without the hungry and delusional clan infested Shankaroon. Don't be surprised some Habro will be acting as the guardians of Somalia in the next coming weeks. I conclude by saying that 2024 will be the year of Awdal. Will give them to lease the port and will in exchange get cheap electricity, shares in Ethiopian airline and other perks. In the meantime, I expect Hassan Culusow to try and help Biixi just like last spring. Furthermore, we might help Somalis get rid of Geelle and Biixi and give break other Somalis. Yesterday in one of our meeting our Ugaas said he want to reclaim his 420 years old thrown Ifat soon. Carafaat , Saaxiib Habraha aanu isku ducayno, deris wanaag iyo gancsi. We had enough of hearing the history of our Habro friends who say, " Taariikhdayadu waxay ka bulaabantaa markaanu baxnay 1981 iyo markaanu soo oqonay 1991"

SSC-Khatumo Will not Participate in Puntland Elections
galbeedi replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
I was talking the other day a classmates of Mr. Firdhiye from Awdal and I understood the the new Hogaamiye from SSC is a political novice. He is probably 40 years old or less which is novice in the throat cutting and blood sport of Somalia. I agree with Qurac. Now isn't the time to rush to Mogadishu to rush for quick cash. I agree that he should get his portions of the money allocated for SSC , but he should never attired those words about Puntland election which takes place within 3 months. Puntlanders had paid for the freedom of SSC with their blood and have the right to say about the future of SSC. Mogadishu doesn't have the power to deny or accept anyone. Iydaa xaar ku fadhida. By removing quickly the SSC shares from PUntland without consultations, he is indirectly aiding the Faroole camp. In fact, if he wanted to move to that direction, he should have announced it in Garoowe not Mogadishu. -
This is serious. This journalist , C/risaaq Terra, has to bring some evidence. That is the elimination of the Somali security apparatus. The Parliament has to investigate this. 300 senior people in one and half year?

Haaretz is one of the most objective papers in the middle east. Much better than the American or Canadian papers. If you want the reality on the ground just read this paper.

Just like Ukraine replaced Covid-19, you will not be hearing Ukraine any time soon. The American congress doesn't even have speaker because of dysfunction caused by Ukraine. People are tired of this unending war which caused inflation throughout the world. Besides, unlike Ukraine the support from congress and white house to Israel is unanimous.

The Egyptian negotiators had begun their work already. The news is HisbuAllah has warned that if there is a ground war in Gazza they might enter the war from north. Cooler heads must prevail before this gets out of hand. If HisbuAllah enters Lebanon will be effected and Iran could be involved. Biden could make history if he fixes the old issue of Palestine/Israel in this term. Forget about the republican hawks who are in campaign mood.

Also, a friend of mine who follows Arabic media says that there was a plan by Netanyahu to wage a big war against both Hamas and west bank after the Jewish holiday and that secret plan was leaked to Hamas. It seems to be pre emptied strike by Hamas Folks, this is the end of Netanyahu. A new different government might rise from the ashes of this war. This thing is keep happening every few years with no real solutions. If you remember that former prime minister of Israel Yair Lapid was a charming guy who visited Turkey, UAE and many places, and was replaced by Bin Givr and other extremists. The world and middle east needs Lapid as the leader for the future.
-
MMA, There is certainly an intelligence failure. Since Israelis are mosaic community with Arabic speaking Jewish citizens they have easy access to gather information. Everyone knows that have human intelligence in Gazza. My take on the failure is that the spy agencies and some members of the military leadership and I might add the Biden white house don't like Netanyahu. They prefer the leadership of the last government and there could be a plot to undermine Netanyahu and his far right government. This was probably a calculated plot to get rid off Netanyahu. If this far right guy leaves the scene the possibilities are huge in the region in terms of peace, trade and many things. The liberals are sophisticated and this is their plot stop him.
-
This will lead a lot of suffering and destruction for Gazza. The Hamas strategy is probably to thwart the rapproucment between Saudis and Israel and other Arab nations. They are saying you can't make a deal until you address our situation. Iran also might have a hand. Is these rockets imported or manufactured locally?
