  1. He definitely is. In his last term, he was pushed around by those who have given some small crumps. I remember the Somali UN delegation leaving the assembly when Iran envoy was speaking. He did what ever the Saudis asked him and even more. Now HSM is flowing the interest of his nation. Consistent foreign policy based on your value , history and interest makes your nation stable and successful. No nation including even Turkey is willing to take 5000 soldiers at once and train them . I think like Farmaajo before him HSM is flowing a great tradition of independent Somali foreign policy for the last 60 years. Here are few examples: When we became independent in 1960, Taiwan was holding the UN seat of the republic of China, and many countries were forced to deny the Peoples Republic of China including Ethiopia and many countries in Africa, western Europe and Latin America. Somali recognized PR of China as the legitimate government of China rejecting the policy of Italy, Britain and others. In 1978, when Camo David accord was signed between Egypt and Israel, the Arab league expelled Egypt and cut diplomatic relations. But Somalia refused to join and kept its relations with Egypt, and lately in 2017, Farmaajo decided to be neutral of the gulf diplomatic war between Qatar and others. HSM is doing the right thing. He will gain a big force trained in the hot climate and mountain trains of Eritrea.
  2. We rather have someone else , like MMA or the new guy Sheekeeye give us updates about our president. This kid and many others like him want to keep reminding their perceived enemy they won something. They didn't. HSM won. HSM is doing the right thing these days. I did listen his speech to the cadet commandos training in Turkey, and I could say it was one of the best speeches a Somali president probably ever made. HSM us gaining the confidence of the people , especially the way he handled the Kenyans who tried to disrespect him after his election victory. By sending the deputy premier to IGAD heads of state meeting, Hamza also understood how serious the issue was despite his Kenyan connection. If HSM want to gain the more confidence of the Somali people, he should let go the Moorayaan called Mahas Salaad acting as NISA chief. That guy is basically pulling down his standing with the Somali people. THere are credible reports that said, the USA, and its strategic partner, Qatar , had concluded not to share any intelligence with Somalia since this guy could sell secrets to the UAE who can't be trusted by America and others. The American put security conditions to sell the F-35 planes to UAE for fear that they might be sharing the technology to others. The firing of the outlaw won't happen quickly, but within the next six months or so, Hamza will be given the green light to fie him. We have seen the Turkish leadership honor the Somali people, and we have seen , in the general sense, the agreements that both nations signed, but we haven't heard nothing about the killer Sheikhs of Dubai. Here is that great speech.
  3. Maakhiri1, I have major doubts about Al-shbaab in Mogadishu. The same people who killed her sister, Abwaan Bedel and others are the hidden mob killing people under the cover of Al-shabaab. They even hit police stations manned by good guys. The C/caziis district police chief Naciimo mentioned was bombed in Waaberi along other officers after he replaced the old crooked police chief. These people were operating under the nose of Farmaajo. He surrounded himself with his enemies. They killed her sister, yet they want to finish even her too.
  4. My God, what an intelligent lady this Naciimo is. The wisdom and the way she speaks shows that the richness of the Somali language, I could listen her all day. She is above of the cockroaches who are trying to gain attention by talking about her. Mahad and company are from Guriceel and she is from Hargeisa, the only deference is that he has criminal gangs and she is a law abiding citizen. Instead of catching terrorists and criminals , NISA are chasing innocent critics. This bad news. How far will HSM tolerate these gangs. She is totally brilliant. I would suggest to Naciimo to leave politics and concentrate on her arts. This lady is super star Walaahi.I have never seen anyone speak like this for a long time. International literature organizations and noble organizations should look her work.
  5. Exactly. Yet if we could find few out spoken, well educated moderate Sheikhs like Sheikh Abdirahman Bashir Of Djibouti, we could turn the tide. You need few tough Sheikhs who are willing to confront the Wahabis. The national TV and Radio could be a good vehicle. There was a friend of mine who visited Boosaaso in 1999, and he went to one of the Masjids owned by these lunatic Khawaariij. After Iqaama was called, one of the guys said, " Waar ha iska heesaane sallada ina geliya". In Madiina, the city of the Prophet Mohamed Peace be upon him, they called the first eedaan call around 4:30 and start the Fajr prayer at 5:30, and when you done and come outside, the sun isn't out but it is clear day. Yet, back home it all starts at 3:00Am, who can dare and tell that guy, " Waar ummadu hakaa huridee eedaanka u kaadi, fajarkuna waa 5:25 e. That is were you need state regulation of these people. Wahabism could mostly spread war torn countries where there is no strong civilization. It barely exists in Sudan, north Africa and west Africa, except pockets in Libya. In Nigeria they forcing the people through gun, kidnapping and intimidations.
  6. Agree. No major Sheikh except Sheikh C/qadir Gacamey and one two probably had spoken against Al-shabaab. There is deep down believe among many people that the presence of Al-shbaab was the only way to safeguard the country from corrupt tribes and vultures from outside. It is the ideology that Leeds for someone to murder an innocent person inside a Masjid. It was Sheikh Ahmed Rashiid who in the early nineties warned about people who claim to be religious people at the same time willing not only raise their hands for their fellow brothers, but even kill. There are people who share Wahabi ideology with Al-shabaab who dominate business and trade inside major centers: Mogadishu, Boosaaso and Hargeisa. Khadaafi, The Muslim brotherhood were the main alternative to the Wahaabis in the nineties, but the military intervention of Ethiopia combined with the total war waged against democracy and elections by the gulf had destroyed that movement. Also, the Wahabi culture took a deep root among the rigid nomads of central Somali, Woqoyi Bari, Togdheer and Gedo. While poor uneducated recruits are found in both Shabelle and Bay, most of the Al-shabaab ideologues come from Woqoyi, central Somalia(Puntland Galmudug) and Gedo. The Sufi movement can't hold against the Wahabis who consider them heretics. Even moderate Sheikhs had to always take a tough line on any issues regarding rigid interpretations to avoid been branded as a weak . It is like the republican party of USA where candidates had to go as far right as possible to cater to their donors. Even in Muxaadaro, you are not allowed to ask anything contrary of what the Sheikh says,( Sheekhaw maxaa laga yeelaya kuwa sidaa leh?). Heck, when I went home decades ago, we had Mu'adins calling Fajar Daakiraad before 3:00 AM, no one can tell them that the Fajar prayers will be after five , so please don't start early. Our only hope, probably is for Mohamed Bin Salmaan to send us few former Wahaabis and tell everyone that "we invented the Wahabis to control the mases, keep the kings in power and stop the open society of Qaadiriya and Shaaficiya.". the show is over and please go back to your tradition.. On the issue of Al-shabaab overrunning the capital, it is complicated. As you mentioned if there are no progress in 14 years, we shouldn't be doing the same thing and expect different results. Here is the dilema: Because of extreme poverty among the youth recruiting for Al-shbaab is easy. It is like joining the US marines where you get free meal, shelter, food, salary and became part of something. If you recruit young boys, bring them in a camp, train them, give them food and money and later give few doses of anti foreign sermons and give their life for Islam, that is the easiest job for the big bosses. Mafia soldiers are the happiest among the Italian mafia. They have prestige, money, families and they can intimidate the public at will. In Puntland some of the Youngman convicted of killing people were even middle class kids playing soccer after they wacked some one just like the mafia. .I would target the money flow and dry them. And for the new regime to target the big boys in Bakaraha or the telecom industry, It will be difficult. So, Mr. Khadaafi, where do we start. Do we have to go back to the old Egyptian ways of appointing Imaams who should breach against the Wahabi doctrine? Revive Qaadiriya and others, arm them and fight them in their own villages? do we have to create paramilitary forces like Latin America and take the war to the extremists? I don't know, but I agree with you that without a large number of people being subconsciously Al-shbaab, it is difficult to defeat them. Also, I don't buy the idea of USA helping us defeat the menace. The USA own terrorist manuals mainly concentrate targeting of leaders and those suspected of taking part international cases. I would start buy cutting services to the area controlled by Al-shabaab. No internet, Phone or electricity. No Hawala. Where do you star
  7. I have no tribal, land disputes or conflict with the Galmudug boys, so the issue has nothing to do with Qabyalad, but no one could hide the ugly side of people like Calasow who many of your ilk consider as the leading opinion maker. I think there are so many ways they can crises that young woman without going to the gutter. That is why I say they lack creativity and imagination in the Somali language. Waar is qabta dadkiinani .
  8. I take back that statement regardless of what the separatist entity in Hargeisa does. I apologize to genialize our Galmudug friends especially on the issue of Somali women. We all value our women equally whether they are from north or south. Raali ha la iga ahaado.
  9. This has nothing to do with HAG community, Mogadishu or the ruling Unkaka or the honorable people of Dayniile. These vulgar MBB are mostly Gaimudug boys led by the sewage dwelling gangster called Dahir Calasow. They want to ride this regime and get as much as possible before the law and order takes place. Also, they lack poetry, Somali language vocabulary, imagination and the art of clean debate. They don't understand how we value the Somali women, and even when they enter the ugly sport of politics, we don't cross the line.
  10. Definitely. This relationship must be nurtured. If Erdogan loses the next summer election a lot could change. President HSM should get Turkish drones as soon as possible. Even Djibouti bought a couple of drones.
  11. Of course they assumed Qatar was the destination because these soldiers were recruited throughout the country secretly. In some cases elders were involved to make sure it was diverse. NISA had involved from those hired in Mogadishu to make sure they were not Al -shabaab related. Also, since Eritrea was under western and regional sanctions it was a discreet issue that was supposed to go without others noticing. Eritrea owes us for their freedom, and also they believe a strong Somalia in the horn would balance the empire of rags called Ethiopia who was always able to recruit a million poor men and intimidator their neighbors. Kenya and their collaborators inside and outside the country jumped on the case. Mahad Salaad paid a dozen fake mothers and some real ones and used the issue as a political football. Imagine if you got 10,000 Eritrea trained soldiers in just four years? that could go a long way. How many America trained since 2012? just a small battalion of 300 soldiers called Danab. And when Trump removed Americans from Somalia, the New York Times were lamenting " what will happen the best terrorist fighting force trained by America". Now, there is unverified reports that president HSM has agreed for the evil UAE to get back their base i Mogadishu and train around 2000 soldiers who would be their mercenaries which Farmaajo and Khayre sent backing back in 2018. We will wait about that news and if he moves ahead hell will break lose and HSM will be impeached by the public and eventually the parliament. Will wait.
  12. Carafat is acting like a man living in a cave. When I say people die in a training , I am talking about four or six people maximin in a force of over 5000. Also, they didn't mention another four dozen or so who escaped and went to Sudan and joined Tahriib to Libya. In fact, more USA troops die and injurer in training than combats in recent years. Most of American deaths relate to aviation, ships colliding and vehicle accidents. I heard that these soldiers need probably 20 flights or more to bring them home and the government should pay for this and other logistical needs. No nation was willing to take that many number of soldiers to their country and train them as navy sailors, armillary , infantry, men, commandos and military intelligence in two years. A nation fighting deadly insurgency badly needs these soldiers.
  13. Whao, Xaaji. Are you just pulling our leg ? The great Darwiish is now just a camel thief? Why would the Brits ship airplanes to Aden, Yemen a year before the bombing, then assemble them and bomb Talex castle in 1920? Why the would they bring Indians, Sawahili Africans and Somalis to storm his bases? I thought the Landers had changed their attitude toward the Darwiish lately to attract the Garaad community to the project and even claim to be one of the heroes of Somaliland. Even Ina Biixi joined that project.
  14. It is not the first time little secessionist lie. In fact, every transcript about Somali history especially the British history of Somaliland including the demography of tribes and other issues were forgeries posted in the internet. In 1941, there was no Somali movement or protest. The second world war wasn't even over. SYL was formed 1943, and the skirmishes with Italians like the " Dhagaxtuur" and Xaawa Taako didn't take place until later. Furthermore, these were not African troops per se, they were colonial troops from all over the world dying to defend the British empire. They were not serving Africa or Somalia.Among them were the Somaliland Camel Corps who had Sawahili , Indians and Somalis who fought against the great Darwiish early in the twentieth century. Also, many Somalis had died between Jigjiga and Berbera during the war between the British and the Italians. This was another misleading headline. Why not mention the African troops brought to the Somali shores in 1919 to kill the Somali independent movement were your grand fathers were among them. Give me a break.
  15. This is not news. Last year here SOL, I even reported that due to harsh mountain training few of them died due to heat exhaustion or training related deaths. I even told that one guy from Hiiraan whose brother was their reporting these deaths. Other than few mothers paid by Mahad Salaad to protest their where about, all the family members had contacts from time to time. Besides, if you know military training death and injury happens especially the Eritrean highlands. Politicizing the issue is over, as Americans usually say, " just bring the boys home".
  16. Maakhiri1, I just posted this clip, I didn't see yours first. It seems Qalbigeenu isku meel ayuu u jeeda.
  17. Soomaali uunbaa lagu arkay dad intay lacagta dadka dhacaan Xajkana tagaya Salaadana kaaga horeeya. Allow sahal amuuraha.
  18. It is always others telling what we already know, yet since they are the only people whose opinions matter to the world we welcome it. While I do believe that Al-shabaab could be defeated by only Somali forces, the chances of building one and the evil free hand the big financial companies have in the affaires of the state makes it difficult. Yet, this tragedy of our own kids killing and bombing us , and we in return trying to kill them is a disaster that must end. It is the theory of chaos ( Isku jabi) invented by the American military . Inaga iyo caruurteeni ayaa la isju keen jabiyey. If president Hassan Sheikh decides to negotiate without conditions , I would welcome it.
  19. That is an eye opening headline. The matter of Hajj should be fair and clean.
  20. Here are members of the " Gudiga Maaliyada" asking contracts from Bayle.
  21. Brother Carafaat, Bayle told us many many times that due shortage of revenue due to Covid extraordinary measures were taken and the IMF debt was entered to the treasury with knowledge of the government and the financial committee. In the case of Somaliland, they discovered the debt after 11 months and nothing is done. Furthermore, Somalia owes the money which doesn't even mature for decades but the $80 million is owned to businessmen who gave the money probably to Kulmiye for the campaign while the IMF money was used for public service and army salary salary. That is a straw mans argument. Do you know in Somaliland the president takes 5 to 10% of the budget for the palace which is bigger than the combined budget of four or five miniseries. Tell me one single calendar year where the budget was rejected or debated by the Somaliland parliament?. The last time a budget item was rejected or debated was during the Rayaale administration. The southern guys might be corrupt, but at least they are debating trying to improve the system, in fact, after 30 years of Somaliland Maamul they much closer than Somaliland which have almost no judiciary or institutions.
  22. Carafat, It seems you are buying the narrative that Farmaajo didn't want election. Of course he tried and failed for extension and since that moment he welcomed the implementation of the election. FRom May 2021, we are all well aware who were the culprits dragging the election. It supposed to be concluded within 90 days but Rooble and company pushed for one more year to get rich and fight Farmaajo. They even rejected Garbaharey which was the main pillars of September 18 agreement. He pushed his own agenda and dragged all of us until he reached the result he wanted which took him one years, please spare us the bogus election push.
  23. Look guys , donor budget support has ceased once the election was triggered. Also Covid 19 reduced revenue all over the world. The so called IMF debt of support was discussed by Bayle before many times, I will find the clip. Nations throughout the world had revenue shortages due to Covid. No IMF or World Bank would allow loans to Somalia at this stage, but this was an extraordinary time around the globe. Imagine if Bayle said like the HSM government that he owes $60 million from the local oligarchs without a trace. This loan entered the treasury and doesn't even mature for decades to come. I support accountability and justifying every government financial activity, but I reject this idea of a parliament being ignored/ The parliament ceased to exist since April 2021 when their extension of two years for Farmaajo was rejected. Everyone said their time was expired and they don't have any authority to legislate. There was no parliament to discuss money matter, security or even elections. Why you guys are ignoring that we didn't even had a functioning government since April 2021. THeir was a power struggle between Rooble and Farmaajo, and many people like the chief of police, army and even Bayle has to walk a fine line. Let us find if there was any misappropriation from the ministry but you can't debate a legally approved loan at this stage.
