The long awaited deployment of Al-shbaab to Ethiopia has finally happened. THere is a big war going, but we don't have any media who has the capacity to get there and file some serious news. All we got is Youtubers in dark rooms showing us pictures and fake news. So, let us ret to analyze the info we are getting from the Somali regional security leaders. Since the rise of Al-shbaab in Somalia around 2006, they never attacked inside Ethhiopia despite the easy access to penetrate the border. Najib Gardaad, a Nairobi based Kenyan journalist had written a long essay few years ago to shed some light on how Al-shabaab selects its targets. He investigated how Al-shabaab refused to target Ethiopia despite the major wars that took place between the extremist movement and TPLF led Ethiopian army and the atrocities the Ethiopian forces had committed inside Somalia, He debunked the false narrative which had described the strength of the Ethiopian army as the main reasons Al-shbaab avoided to engage or attack Ethiopia. He argued that a suicide bomber willing to die doesn't care whether he targets a hotel, military checkpoints or army barracks. Furthermore, the border between Ethiopia and Somalia doesn't have barb wires, walls or rivers to discourage those willing to cross. THe Ethiopian army and the Somali Liyu police forces only control roads that cross the border and sometimes make random patrols in some area to intercept vehicles carrying contraband. Mr. Najiib attributed the Al-shbaab attacks which reached as far as Kampala, Uganda and even Burundi as Ethiopian strategy to destabilize the economies of east Africa while they were growing to double digits. The Ethiopian economy was among the fastest in the world reaching 10% which was huge achievement. Mr. Najiib was lamenting about the constant Al-shbaab attacks inside Kenya which went from border towns to big commercial malls inside Nairobi. He even mentioned a local Somali owned airlines blown by a suicide bomber i his own seat which miraculously landed safely. He discussed the deep connections between former Al-shbaab leaders including Ahmed madoobe, Mahad Karatey and other who were in soome cases were captured and released from Ethiopian jails. With Al-Shabaab controlling border districts within Gedo, Bakool, Hiiraan and Galmudug, why they never bothered to attack Ethiopia.? They have every excuse on the books to target Ethiopia, especially when their forces were inside Somalia. Yet, Al-shbaab seemed to direct their forces only to Kenya and Somalia. . If you are 17 or 18 years old destitute and poor kid in Bakool, Diinsoor, Qoryoolay, Jalaqsi or Dhuusamareeb, you will be delighted to be fed, clothed, trained and even offered a wife and get paid while they brain wash you as a holly warriors. In fact, it is like joining the marines or national army. THese young men do not decide who to kill or where to be deployed, they are blind mouse or a mad dog let loose among the targets chosen by their bosses just like mafia soldiers who are told to pull the trigger. By now, anyone with two-digit IQ knows that these Wahabi mad dogs are deployed by foreign intelligence while carrying the name of Islam. Since the American people will not accept the deployment of their soldiers to these unknown places where they can't even find in the map, these crazy terrorists will do the job. Some are called YPG, TPLF, Boko Haram, Al Nusra or Al-shbaab in the case of east Africa. So, the deployment of Al-shbaab to Ethiopia has begun. According to a colonel of Somali LIyu forces in Af Dheer and Liibaan of the Somali region of Ethiopia, this new Al-shbaab plans of attacks inside the region had started some two years ago when the war between the TPLF and Ethiopian forces started in the fall of 2020. They had already made the necessary contacts with the elders of the region, recruited foot soldiers and trained them in Jilib and Saakow in the Middle Jubba region which is controlled by Al-shbaab. Just like the way foreign intelligence operates, they transported their weapons deep inside the region and buried them trenches. The boys were already inside after they concluded their training. Sources inside Somali Galbeed describe these Al-shbaab attacks and movements as well calculated deployment that will last months if not years. Most of the people recruited are from Liibaan, Jarar and AfDheer regions. They belong to the sub clans of Ahmed Madoobe and the Gare community of Liibaan. These were the former allies of the TPLF regime that was deposed by Abiy Ahmed few years ago. According to these sources these forces are two groups. The main Al-shbaab forces with battle wagons and technicals had came from JUbbaland regions while the others were cells that was activated from Ceel Kari and Jarar. This wasn't an ambush or hit and run clashes. The Al-shbaab force that crossed from Bakool area had descended upon a Liyu police chewing Qat all night and unaware of the situation. Close to 200 of those were overun and their weapons taken. Those who came from behind the Liyu police line had cut the highway connecting Godey to Afdheer, and as we speak while the border to Bakool is secure, Al-shbaab is already inside Afdheer region. After the conclusion of war in Caato and Yeed, the LIyu crossed to Bakool and killed more than a dozen of civilians for revenge and accused them of harboring terrorist group. If this is the attitude the Liyu to kill innocents, they will definitely face a long insurgency and hostile populace. THere are two reasons that makes these Al-shbaab attacks deadly for Ethiopia. First the Liyu police traditionally is a paramilitary force trained by the TPLF to target the Somali people and mainly civilians. Few years back they achieved some success against the Oromo, but lately they couldn't stand a chance to similar forces with the same strength as the war between the Affar and Somalis had shown. THese kind of forces doesn't have any chances against Al-shbaab. The second dilemma, Ethiopia doesn't have a well-trained cohesive force anymore. The Amhara are concentrated in their region to fend of the TPLF attacks and save Amhara civilians from Oromia while provoking both Abiy, Oromo, TPLF and everyone else. If reports of Al-shbaab reaching west Hararghe are true, the Oromo itself will explode and Abiy might not have huge forces to deploy over two thousand kilometers he shares with Somalia. President Mutafe Cumar must build better forces and rely on his own strength than wait the Ethiopian army. Also, the ONLF who were trying to take over the Somali region had been sidelined by Mustafe. They don't have any chances of taking over, and must wait the next election in 2026. We don't know yet, but even the ONLF itself could be part of these groups since their bosses in Nairobi support the deployment of Al-shbaab from Kenya to Ethiopia. Now, this new war could be very dangerous for some while it might bode well for others. Some of my friends believe that this deployment of Al-shbaab to Ethiopia could be good news for Somalia and Kenya, and both of them might facilitate the movements of Al-shbaab from Jubbaland to Ethiopia. Others believe that the flat lands of JUbba can't protect Al-shbaab if the Somali forces and those from Jubbaland attack them and the mountain regions of Afdheer and Liibaan will be their new bases. Personally, I do believe that Al-shbaab can't survive inside Ethiopia and the only way they could move there is because of logistical support from Kenya, Jubbaland and the Americans. Here are some of the major reasons Al-shbaab had deployed to Ethiopia. There are no concrete evidence to indicate one way or another , but there are political and economic reasons that point to certain directions.. The energy prices are going to the roof, and that false theory of climate change has been discarded by almost everyone. Both Kenya and Somalia want to extract natural gas and oil from the Indian ocean as soon as possible. In order to attract that investment, Jubba area must be secured. There were extensive meeting between Ahmed Madoobe and the British and American ambassadors for the last few months. I don't believe these guys are meeting him for drought relieve or building democracy. Madoobe had handpicked the prime minister and will be moving to major regional moves. Among those moves are to completely stop two major development projects from China to the region. The first is to stop the construction of the gas pipeline China wants to connect from Godey to Djibouti. Both Berbera and Garacad are shorter distances, but the Chines want to deal with someone like Omar Ghelle whom they have strong relations. The Americans want to stop this with help of Al-shbaab and ONLF. The later had already attacked the project and killed some Chinese and Malesian workers in 2006/07. Second, the Americans don't want the Belt and Rood Investment (BRI) which will soon cross the Persian gulf port of Gowdar, Pakistan to the Indian Ocean and to Somalia, Ethiopia, South Sudan and deep inside landlocked African countries. Theses are involved couple of Somali ports, railways and roads. America want to shut down this now. Abiy Ahmed might have survived the TPLF war, Ahmara non stop complaints and Oromo skirmishes, but will not survive this new geopolitical chess. While we don't wish Al-shbaab or terrorist groups even to our worst enemies, if those who supply Al-shbaab with money, weapons, bombs, uniforms and other logistical help, want to take them away from us and move to other places, we would welcome it. But if the move is to create another proxy war between Ethiopia and Somalia on behalf Egypt and other evil Arabs, may God help us. The reactions of Ethiopia could be deadly as well. Nimankan dadkii inoo keenyay hadday ina dhafinanayaan waan soo dhaweynaynaa.

Imtixaankani qaalisanaa. What it takes to mark this special exams of Puntland? I thought you put 20 teachers in a secure hall and spend 10 days, 8 hours a day. If you pay the teachers $100 dollars a day for 10 days, it will cost one thousand per day and $20,000 for ten days. Are you telling me the mother of the federal system could not locate 20 gran? This education minister is probably trying to extort some money from the NGO's. Ilaahayow Kacaankii barakeysnaa u dembi dhaaf. WE never paid one single penny from elementary all the way to university .

Here in Canada we have what we call a " Walk in Clinic". If you are Canadian and sick, you could walk to certain clinics near your home without appointments and the doctor will treat you after verifying your health card number. No questions asked. In Somalia, there is a new political parlance that is taking shape thanks to president Hassan Sheikh Mohamuud. He is basically " Walking in" in foreign capitals without prior arrangements or well thought national policy. He doesn't have a foreign minister accompany him or even advance team to prepare his agenda. Tomorrow is his 64th day since his election and no cabinet or government has been formed. He is going places while bringing singed documents to home. He has been traveling since late June. His first trip was Abu Dhabi, the home of the money laundering entity called UAE. We haven't seen him for five days, and he brought almost nothing other than few millions of relief aid. He even got sick while he was there and came back with bruised eye due to either falling down or other unknown incident. After that horrible trip to UAE, he found his senses back and went to Turkey where he was shown brotherhood, honest cooperation and the dignity accorded to respected heads of states. He proceeded to Eritrea to check the well being of the 5,000 boys trained by that nation and achieved most of his goals while there. After those trips we all thought that he will settle down, help the prime minister form his cabinet and tackle the main issues of the day. Despite repeated warnings and the lame duck status of the current Kenyan leadership which faces an election within weeks, he flew to Nairobi. Decent and patriotic Somalis were shocked by this hasty caravan of the president . Many of us were wondering why is he rushing without government in place? Why don't give these files to the prime minister and his foreign desk team to analyze and study? We knew he didn't had time to prepare or analyze these documents and files since he was traveling for the last four weeks. There is a law level foreign ministry director from Galmudug who is accompanying him to these foreign capitals. I and many others had inquired why the rush? Well, finally we got some answers. Insider sources say that the four trips embarked by HSM, two of them, UAE and Nairobi trips, were arranged by former premier Rooble for business reasons alone. The drug (Qatt) deal was arranged by Rooble and financed by current national security minister who was in the cabinet just for business reasons. The deal which will cost millions to the Somali addicts of the Qatt and will be shared among Rooble, 30 years 30 million man and some members of the inner clan of the president HSM. Insiders also told us that while Shariif Ahmed was the candidate of the Jowhar/Mogadishu residents of "Unaka", HSM was certainly the candidate of the Galmudug oligarchs who want to keep the business connections through the HSM government. The fool didn't stop their but tried to " Walk In " to Addis Ababa , Ethiopia by way of Djibouti without notice. Qaraaba Salaan ayaan u Socda Djibouti Ayaan Joogaa Hadaana Dayaaradan soo Fuulaya". He flew over Ethiopia twice to go to one province of Ethiopia , Djibouti and a renegade one in the name of Eritrea. Mr. Abiy who is in deep trouble these days from the north and south west of Ethiopia decided to score some points against this stupid guest forcing himself to other peoples homes without notice. The big dilemma is this drug deal singed by the president might not hold for too long. Some of you who are familiar with the Drug and Cartel business of North America know that every drug turf is controlled by certain gangs and encroaching to someone else's territory could bring serious trouble including death. Now, the regional governments want to share the drug profit. Puntland want its share since the daily Qatt flight comes directly to Garoowe from Nairobi. Both Hir-Shabeele and KG also want their share. Heck , even Somaliland want to import the Kenyan Qatt directly in order to be the grace side of the Kikuyu. Haddanu qaad ka iibsano armey na aqoonsadaan. Qaldaanimadii nalagu shhegi jiray waa tan oo kale If the drug debate heats up and causes national crises , I Galbeedi would like to suggest that we should share the Kenyan drug profit to the 4.5 formula. Have you even seen a president sign a drug deal that will destroy the livelihood of his citizens. He would have made a verbal commitment and change his minds later if it doesn't serve his nations interest. History will show that HSM signed a drug deal, it is a first in Somalia. That tells you a lot about the fake Wadaado called " Dumb Jadiid" Waxaan Maqli jiray maxaan u soo joogay. Reer Walba Qaadkiisa toos ha uga soo Qaato Kenya. Why should we allow the Galmudug oligarchs to take all the profit. THese guys do not have any interest being in the government except for business reasons. The latest reports in Villa-Somalia indicate there are stalemates on cabinet formations. Rooble was pushing Faqi, the man who wanted to dismantle Galmudug, to be the foreign minister, but Hamza Barre has refused. That doesn't mean Rooble will be empty handed. He got Fiqi either the interior or national security and he got Al Cadaala, the guy who took over the national TV and Radio after throwing out the coward called Dubbe. If the foreign policy of the country is either based on the business interest of the oligarchs or formulated by inexperienced local boys surrounding the president, God help us.

The Rise of O****** in Somali Peninsula; A New Political Realignment
galbeedi replied to xiinfaniin's topic in Politics
Duufaan. Somalia is still ruled by those who destroyed the state. And their incompetence has no bounds. Remember for 14 years from 1991--2005, there was no Al-shabaab, Yet the anarchy and the oligarchy prospered side by side. Puntland , the most mature federal state is celebrating 25 years next year and there is no functioning institutions or even basic election to elect mayors.. Boosaaso is in decline due to the top leadership who exchanged the port for crumbs, but Garowe is fine since it is the main hub for the NGO and the ruling class. Galmudug is is a battle ground for Al-shabaab, Ehlu Sunah and the guy running few militia and zero government operations. Hir-Shabele is based in Mogadishu, and KG and Jubbaland are both one city states, Baidoa and Kismayo. If Sool and Sanaag team up and ditch Garoowe and the Hargeisa rule, the sky is the limit. We all know the status quo doesn't work anymore. There is no such thing as D block, Habro or even HAG. The enclave projects have run their course. -
The Rise of O****** in Somali Peninsula; A New Political Realignment

Isn't this Zack guy the one, few years ago around 2019, asking MMA to keep the accounts of Abtigiis in private since he no longer here? And now he is digging the posts of Abtigiis. Yes, our OG friends had gained politically and they deserve to be the premier of Somalia -
60 days had passed since he was elected and not even out of the gate yet. Where is the cabinet to tackle the main issues of the day. Ma diinkii Dhaanka loo diray baa. With this kind of speed and attitude, the chances of one person one vote is unlikely. What does the Kikuyu boy Uhuru has got on HSM. He bombs Gedo, challenges the unity of Somalia, keeps the border shut, yet baby Kenyatta gets what he wanted. WAxaan maqli jiray Maroodiga xoogiisa Aakhiro ayaa la tusaa. This HSM doesn't know the power of the nation is within. Not Dubai, Nairobi or Addis.

Exactly. Ma Gafe doesn't exist at the Mexican border or any where else. It was the creation of Somali youth seeking money from their poor mothers who already sold their small plot of land for his Tahriib. In most major Somali cities from Jigjiga to Hargeisa police arrests people during the day and leaves them in the city jail unless his family pays. It is another Ma Gafe. Mogadishu based Al-shbaab and their criminal allies are another Ma Gafe, the cycle continues.

I remember Shariif Ahmed going to Kampala, Uganda and staying 8 days , just like homeless person taking advantage of the hotels and the foreign hospitality. Normal leaders do visit and return after concluding their business in 48 hours. No one knows what HSM did four days in UAE. Also, what could he accomplish in Kenya were elections are within weeks? Yet, tomorrow will be two months since his election and no cabinet in sight. DAdkan in hawliba U taalo ma moodayaan. Waa dhibka qoloqol jooga Aduunka ma fami karaan. Waar naga fashiiso oo dawlada soo dhameystir. He should be working yesterday.

We have seen the ugly side of Puntland. If Faroole is the moral foundation of Puntland, may God help us. His and C/weli Gaas speech were Rwanda type incitement . Sacdiya might be seeking publicity to help her region, but she was un armed and wasn't threat. The ugly part is former leaders who should know better and call for investigation had put all the blame squarely On Sacdiyo. The ugly Faroole even rejected the title of acting president for Sacdiyo. Is this jealousy or tribal hatred? A friend from the SAcdiyo community said that some of the family members who lost soldiers in the biscuit incident had openly blamed her community thanks to Faroole and the fat man C/weli Gaas. Bal magaalo dhufays la iskugu jiro oo qolo walba hubeystan tahay ayey leeyihiin SAcdiyaa ka dambeysa. The truth is Sacdiyo called the vice president and the governor of Bari before she landed, what more do they want? Is this the fear of Farmaajo being manifested to Sacdiyo?. It was Faroole and his group who backed Khayre and betrayed Dani, and now trying to be a bully. Why Somali men lose their mind when challenged by a lady? Xataa garan maayaan in ay dhahaan gabadhu waa gabadheeni e bal waxa dhacay gudi ha loo saaro. What a bunch of losers. This Puntland place is manifesting itself to be the land of warlords and greedy leaders. First step is take faroole to the senior homes to spare us from his ugly speeches.

It is difficult to believe his narrative. I have seen the earlier clip where he claimed no one has forced him to come to the city. He was probably trying to extort money some of his family members while cooperating with some locals. No one would walk 18 km at night outside the city to take him to a police station. he is contradicting throughout his speech. We the diaspora have became venerable to the schemes of people back home. It is a scheme. I had a family member who who asked me money for his wedding, and I did help him. After few months I found out there was no wedding, but a plot to make a quick cash. Neither Somaliland or Puntland is involved in this confusing case. We are better than this.

These militia in the south had abused people in Lower Shabelle and burned villages throughout the region. There were no repots of impunity and abuse for the last five years under Farmaajo. On the issue of Eritrea, HSM had shown leadership. After Sahan and others made these forces as their main target, the Farnaajo government had an obligation to inform the public, but they failed. HSM is pro active president who understands the optics of these things. He got it right. In a peaceful transfer of power the successor usually takes advantage of the programs initiated by his predecessor and concludes them while taking the credit. HSM took the Maritime dispute with Kenya to Hague and Farmaajo run with it.

It all comes down to one thing: you can’t have this Daysano family run military within Puntland. HSM should take this force and incorporate with the national army. They could be valuable against Al-Shabaab. Another dilemma is Aaran Jan in Garoowe want to crash Reer Dayaano both politicaly and military and take over the leadership. Yet Mr. Dayyano, the older brother want to try his luck one more time before being disbanded. In fact, a Reer Bari friend of mine told me that it was Garoowe gang that forced Dani to clash with Dayaano before running for president which was a bad move that backfired. They wanted the arena cleared for them before after the departure of Dani. So, the issue is probably more complicated than we think

Either its tabloid crab or this Moe Farah guy is coping other celecberties who go to the talk shows and claim abuse as a child, just to be in the news. He might have felt abused as a child by a relatives , but as a grown man he should appreciate the hardship his adopted parents went through in the early nineties to survive in a strange environment. British tabloid are killers. They don't even spare the Queen.

No motion will be allowed against a dully elected president. hSM has a full mandate to implement his agenda. Shariif Ahmed has to wait another four years. " Arrey Dabagaale ayaan dabin u dhigtay maroodi ayaana iigu soo dhacay" ayuu yidhi berigii Carta Djibouti liiska 250 uu soo qortay.

Politically corrupt Somalis are parroting what Matt Bryden is saying. According to them yesterday they were deployed to Tigray war and today they are hostages to Eritrea.. They say Qatar promised to pay Eritrea, but when TPLF was toppled and Abiy got close to UAE , especially during the gulf blockade, Qatar withdraw its peace keeping forces that it deployed between Djibouti and Eritrea, it stopped its flights to Asmara and so forth. There are nations that want strong Somalia in horn and others who want to keep us down, and if we don't know the deference woe to us.

This is the best example of decline of the " Hooyada Federaalka". For over decade Puntland was cashing in and enhancing mercenary forces paid by foreign nations. These forces are not loyal to the regional government and the leadership. Now they are reaping the fruits of their labour. They used to have Daraawiish or local militia, but now you hear about PMPF and PISF who are both illegal mercenaries paid by others. Corruption, nepotism and fake boasting had finally caught Puntland. For Sacdiya Firinbi, she will probably burn out soon due to her oversized ego. Waxaad moodaa in ay Bakhaar iyadu leedahay raashinka ka keentay. If there is a relieve effort why not let the federal government take the lead? Anyway, 20 military men dying for for few cartons of biscuits tells a lot about Deni and Puntland itself. This man should be kicked out before its too late or warlordism will take root in Puntland.

HSM, Israel, UAE, and the Parliment - A new Clash is brewing
galbeedi replied to Qurac&qansax's topic in Politics
Of course you could recognize Palestine as independent, but occupied state and support two state solutions. Even the PLO of Yasser Arafat used to have embassies in Somali back in the days. The era of flowing Arabs on this issue is over. As I said, the influence of Israel in the region and in Washington couldn't be ignored, and Somali foreign policy experts must way the pros and cons and make the logical decision. We are done fighting or carrying water for despotic Arabs who murder their own citizens in 2022. One day its their Wahabi sect taking over our traditions, then Arab bathism and tribal ways crossing the oceans. We should look outside the gulf and look to China, Indonesia, Pakistan, Africa and other places. -

MMA, Allah ha u naxariisto your dad had a lot of history, and you should write his biography. Time and again I see his explanations are the most logical. I don't expect any justice or truth from Somalis. If you watch some of the interviews these days, every fool will tell you how he was hero while everyone else was the villain, yet simple scrutiny would discover their lies and half truths. There are small segments from Puntland who accuse everything on Siyaad barre, while our Habro cousins has no else but Siyaad Barre to refer everything that went wrong while overlooking their failures. -
HSM, Israel, UAE, and the Parliment - A new Clash is brewing

What I don't like is Arabs deciding who we should have relations with. Moroco, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey and many others have relations with Israel and if we could gain anything we should do with our own terms. -
HSM, Israel, UAE, and the Parliment - A new Clash is brewing
galbeedi replied to Qurac&qansax's topic in Politics
Yes. The UAE meeting is credible and possible. The Emirati guys are pushing this, but as you said, at the moment Somalia will not gain anything from this relationship, but I don't see a Somali president making that bold move in 2016 while the Turkiye and Israel relations were law due to the behavior of extreme right wing government of Netanyahu. Also, remember, HSM had great relations with Turkiye. HSM in his last term did a lot of moves to please the west, the international organizations and even the UN, yet each one of them wrote disparaging reports about weapons being transferred to Al-shbaab, corruption and other outlandish allegations. Certainly there were some corruptions, but they went out of their way to destroy him. While Farmaajo was pro American, he flowed his own foreign policy and HSM probably has learned few things after meeting Farmaajo behind closed doors. Also, credible reports indicate that the UAE trip wasn't successful in so many ways. I even heard that Turkiye had informed HSM not to change the military building process led by Turkiye and warned not to introduce any military presence of UAE in Somalia. As mentioned, this Abraham accord is huge among the Arab league members, but we don't what we will gain from this. One thing that might help is the Israeli lobby in Washington makes things happen which might lead weapons embargo lifted and other things. -
Matt Bryden "Eritrea's despotic, corrupt, ideologically bankrupt regime has nothing to offer that Somalia either wants or needs - except the return of the young trainees who've been held hostage by Asmara for over two years" Why a foreign guy tells us what we we want or need? Che, Mr. Haji Ingriis is correct on this. Its the mind set of the leader and the people of Eritrea that makes them invincible. It is how we were in the sixties and seventies. We were four million Somalis who not only thought we were invincible, but also tried to liberate African nations from the yolk of colonialism, before we disintegrated to a fake enclaves dwelled by unemployed youth and hungry people. Even with 100 minion Ethiopians, 40 million Kenyans and 30 million Sudanis, Afwork thought he was the boss. Again greatness is all about mind set. The great Yam Yam Allah ha u Naxariiste said:

HSM, Israel, UAE, and the Parliment - A new Clash is brewing
galbeedi replied to Qurac&qansax's topic in Politics
That is totally false. Their were reports that when Netanyahu was in Nairobi he met some African leaders while also HSM was in Nairobi, but there was never ever any rumors or reports about going all the way to Jerusalem. The so called Abraham accord is one of the biggest geopolitics moves in the middle east involving the gulf nations except Qatar. Also Egypt and Sudan led by the the Junta might involve also. The UAE is using this accord to disarm the Iran nuclear agreement pushed by the Biden administration. They are even pushing a NATO style security grantee for the gulf nations and Israel. The Jewish state has a lot of influence in the region and the world and Somalia has every right to look its interest if normalization would lead to stability and security. Turkey has huge trade reaching over 5 billions with Israel, and Erdogan is making build the relationship even more. That doesn't mean we have to flow Turkey or anyone else for our interest. Yet, I would advise HSM not to rush to these things at the moment which might embolden certain extremist and fuel Al-shabaab to use this narrative to recruit innocent and unemployed boys. Furthermore, we don't have to fall for every foreign media narrative trying their fishing expedition in our affaires. Martin Blout and others had fed us false info about our soldiers in Eritrea and many had jumped the wagon. We have to be careful. We can all play games back home , but foreign policy is very delicate business that should be left for experts. -

She has no clue. Ten years old girl in Somalia of 1969 couldn't understand government or the internal dynamics. She just want to tell us about her dad and she is probably paying for this. This guy seem to be someone who doesn't understand how the world worked in the sixties, seventies or even eighties. I see him interviewing people who say " hebel baa la iga hormariyey ka dibna waan talaabay. -
Let me congratulate president HSM for doing the right. Thank you Mr. president for visiting Eritrea and boys. History will remember this. And Thank you president Farmaajo for thinking ahead and for the future. Information warfare is part of the campaign to keep nations down. This tiny great nation of 4 million people had repulsed the army of the 100 million Ethiopia nation led by a capable prime minister Meles Zanawi. Before the war of 1998-2000, Eritrea was developing in high speed. Trucks were assembled in their factories and they had built the Massawa-Asmara train tracks without the help of others. Then when they defeated Ethiopia in a stalemate, cribbing sanctions flowed and the country faced great hardship, but they kept their independence. Without Afwerk Eritrea could have been a satellite state under the empire of rags Ethiopia, or worse could have been swallowed by Ethiopia. They have zero death and when the world order changes, which could be sooner than we think, they would be in a great position to decide their future.
