At least unlike many, Dalmar is willing to arrest his own uncle for the good of the country.

Cadale, I stand corrected. Hag This HAG that kii baa nala fogaatay. Waxaanse la qabsanay wixii xunba Xaawaa lewh. Laakiin Nimankiinan HAG rag dulqaad badan ayaad tihiin, ilayn waataasoo habeen iyo maalin waynu idin saaran nahay. I have no issue with **** being in charge. -

waa tahay, aan ku celiyo Lix gobol ayey rabaan. They want he south west. They control two , Jubba administration controls one . The other three are on the play. If Mdoobe Noone is smart, and got some help , he may add Jubada dhexe soon. -

Tillamook, The people of Bay & Bakool have a semi legitimate leadership. President Madoobe Noone's leadership is based in Baidoa with the support of the people. They proclaimed a South West state with Baidoa being the future capital. THat might not be feasible with current climate of Al-shabaab and the new Jubba administration. Unlike the propaganda of the big powers, the Jubba administration is provisional one. The federal government with Ethiopia and Ahmed Madoobe, all agreed the Jubba administration should be only Lower Jubba(KIsmaayo), at the moment. They are not running Middle Jubba or Gedo, yet everyone assumes that it is three states. Gedo is divided between al=shabaab, the Kacaan community and the Kenyan troops. Minister Godax Barre is correct , unless the country is liberated all these states are all paper tigers. On the light of all these, the people of Bay led by President Noone, haven't decided yet to abandon their dream of six states or to join three states with Shabeelaha. Arrin si tuugo ah loo dhamaysan karo ma' ahan. Unless they give their consent , you can't manipulate with Shariif Hassan and decide without them. Furthermore, there are no functioning federal states in Somalia other than Puntland. The rest are Political maneuvering, deception, power grab and domination. The people Bay see all these " gacan ku rimis" and they do not accept. Look at the guy from Johar claiming to be the leader of Shabeelle state. No one in Shabeellaha Hoose gave him a consent, no Guurti were convened to discuss and debate , it is all self coronation. Look at the HAG, They trying to grab Lower Shabelle by force and then proclaim a new state. I suggest liberate the country and build a national army and stop empowering militia , tribes and useless political games to further the divide and create new instability. -

THe federal government could say they are for three states, instead of six., but the problem is the misrepresentation and fabrication of an agreement where one party is missing. How can you make this bogus agreement between Shariif Hasan's brother and another cousin. How can you ignore the Legitimate leadership of South WEst. The United Nation envoy must do his home work before he is duped again. He can't ignore the will of the people Bay & Bakool. -
USA halaga cabsado. THis Americans always give hundred and ten percent. That is how they play. They may even go all the way. Both teams will play 65 minute and the rest of time will be midfield play , back and forth and a tie.

I do not think a dismissed former minister can decide for the South west. If President Nuune doesn't agree , then, it is a sham. Wallee way najiidhsiiyeen. waxay ka dhigeen wax loo dhan yahay. If that is the case, the Guurti who formed the south west must be respected. the wishes of the people must be respected.

Walaaahi you are correct. They do not even know the time. No urgency at all. He should have took a timeout for substitution and bring a defender in and communicate everyone to slow down the game and defend, let the greeks come forward and just wait for a counter attack. what a waste.
-
The Galgaduud boys will not decide and should not be allowed to have any voice in this. Mostly it is Galmudug guys who have some farms and property. The Galgaduud have only guns and militia. Any way the Shabeelaha State protagonists are The Unaka who have a land (shabeelaha Dhexe) to join with Shabeele not reer Galgaduud. The Watermaal can deal with Unaka who are not looters and may have similar culture.
-
one more thing, the D&M idea, so far is dominated by the M group. They never spoke about Shabeelaha Hoose or even tried to change anything. They always concentrated on BAY & Bakool. so they will not decide where the region goes. The Water maal who fought and are speaking for the region will decide if they will join the Shabelle thing or the Bay region. If the Watermaal want to join HAG no one can stop them. If the M can't fight for Jubada Dhexe where they have large population, how can they makes fight about Qoryooley or Marka.
-
MMA, I thought President Noone and Shariif Hassan agreed on this. Are we getting a wrong info on this?. Waxaan moodayey in labada kooxood hesshiska gaaheen.

Ghelle, losing last minute is the whole mark of bad teams. I looked at the penalty box and the Ivorians had only six or seven guys at the 90th minute. The Greek guys had plenty of time and space to shoot many times. I see the Ivory C. midfield players who can't come back to defend. Didn't they know by scoring late goal they already won the game and there is no need to go forward. Leave a guy in the front and everybody should come back to defend. Deny the Greeks any space. The problem is they are emotional and probably celebrating. That was bad coaching.

Well, at least there is a resolution on the matter. I agree Jubbaland is gone, what remains is a genuine power sharing among the communities in JUba region. Since we can't resolve issue among our selves, maybe the usually maligned United Nations envoy or leaders are a necessary evil. If things are left for moryooley to sort out, it will protract for long time and might even cause war. The days of centralized power in Mogadishu are gone and are not coming back. Those who have an alternative federalism, should provide their models. Know we need Mr. Kay to proceed to Galgaduud , Hiiraan and Johar for resolution.

I think Puntland is a responsible government. No one gains from war between brothers. Good move. -
I do welcome the reconciliation of the two brotherly community. Insha Allah peace.

Guys, I believe in a free market economy, but, in any jurisdiction, Trades are privilege. Nations do not open their markets without conditions. in addition there has to be mutual interest and exchange of trade on both sides. Open skies trade agreements are tough to negotiate. If you are opening your airspace for an airline, it must represent a nation that have both Somali diaspora trade connections. I hope the era of " garab rarato" is finished. Dalmar, of course there are interests but , as a nation you must have enduring allies and loyal friends who will be in your side on your hour of need, just like Turks.
-
Whose idea is this. We have nothing to do with the dirty Greeks. Their country is in a mess, they are becoming the breading ground of neonazis and anti immigrant punch. Add that, they are the arch enemies of the Turkish in Cypress and mainland Turkey. This is like sticking to the Turks who have done a lot for Somalis. Trades are like diplomacy and relationship. you must earn the trust and build relationship with the people. I bet this Greeks do not even have an ambassador in Somalia. you can't open your air industries to every scavenger who want to make a buck,.

Now you want to take over the region by force and then form a shabelle region without the consent of the local people. The Mayor is Water maal and would not accept any " maamul under the gun of HAG militia. The governor is HAG, that is why he is leading this. You are a minority there , you can't force any thing under the gun. In any protracted war the Local people who are the majority will prevail eventually. It is indeed strange, the largest community in the region is not part of these scheme. where is Nicholas Kay and others from the international community while the indigenous people are marginalized in their own land.

Killing one another in tribal area is a constant problem in Somalia. their was an army colonel from the D.....r community killed in check point by Hag militia, there were also other killings from both sides. Yes there are HAG communities that live in Lower Shabelle, but, what I object is for a clan militia to capture Marka, Muuri, Janaale and all other area by force and claim, that they cleaned the area from water Maaal people. Where is the national army in the region. Why allow conflict to drag. Militia are entering big cities like Marka and chasing the mayor of the town, and claiming to themselves. Maalister , saaxiib , you your self was talking about the formation of the Shabelle ministers The best option is for the occupying militia is to go back their original positions which was number 50, whether they are army or militia. you do not see this happening anywhere. Imagine the east Burco clan with the backing of Somaliland government taking Laascaanood, talex and Xudun. As tradition goes and norm of the people who share boundaries, the east Burco is the first one to avoid any conflict with Khaatumo. Their elders want peace with neighbors and will never ever think of taking their land on tribal ways. For the sake of the future of Somalia stop these occupation.

http://www.aminarts.com/Cartoon_jpg/10_JUNE_2014.jpg http://www.aminarts.com/Cartoon_jpg/9_june_2014%20copy.jpg Usually , I try to avoid or not to take sides in tribal conflicts, especially when people of different tribes accuse one another of injustice. Allah Subhana Watala says, " when there is a conflict among to Muslims, reconcile them, and if when of them refuses the justice and keeps the wrong doing, then all together must fight the wrongdoer". As we are all aware, the Lower Shabelle conflicts started in small towns and farms close to number 50 town. Some Hag members have been killed in some area, and later an illegal militia took disproportionate retaliation and captured and burned the whole town. I was among those who condemned, but also I urged the Shabeelaha hoose community of Water maal not to target or force legitimate citizens who have farms there. Last week there were some threads in SOL about the murder of Some members of Somaliland community murdered in Shabeelaha Hoose. These were elderly people who lived their for fifty years. Also brother Moge and others spoke out against the injustices against the people of Lower Shabelle. Even then, I called for reconciliation and understanding among the communities. I thought that these HAG militia will come to their senses and avoid igniting new conflict since they are in charge of the government. Yesterday I attended a news briefing and conference held by the people of Shabeelaha Hoose. In order to sift through the propaganda of the media, especially the war lord media led by Waagacusub, we must state the facts, just the facts. At the end of that conference, I was shocked how massive the atrocities the HAG are committing in Lower Shabelle. Amin Amir, who gives voice for the weak and downtrodden have illustrated many times, but I thought It may have been some how exaggerated. Now I know Amin Amir was correct depicting those crimes. AS a Somali people , we must speak loudly against these new crimes HAg militia are committing in Shabeelaha hoose. There are HAg communities in Jubba area, villages and people, especially G lovers and others. ten or so years ago the juba valley alliance was even running Kismaayo. Those communities are still their, but no one is pushing them out and they, themselves are not trying to take over, because, the Long Foot and others are capable of defending themselves. It seems the HAG is targeting the indefensible. 1- the earlier conflict at the end of last year and the beginning of this year was skirmishes and killings among some border districts in number 50 and Janaale. When I asked a friend of mine who is Hag, he says that the Water maal murdered innocent people inside their farms in order to expel the H.G community. Then the H.G militia went further , not only retaliated for the killing . but burned the whole town and the homes of the opposing clan. Even Cadale, resident SOL , complained the murder of HAg members. Since when a murder of an innocent is a license to grap entire region. 2- In almost all those conflicts, the National Army led by Hag, participated to drive the indigenous people out of their towns. There are no distinction between the Army and the militia, none whatsoever. 3- why would a localized small conflict, mostly confined in # 50 and Janaale became a total land grab?. As we heard from the news, the HAG tribal militia took over Marka, Jnaale, Muuri, Shalanbood, and all surounding villages. How can in this day and age a marauding militia under the banner of the state take a whole region, and pretending like nothing happen. Not only they murdering, but they covering their crimes by claiming to fight terrorists. If Morayan militia is not a terrorist who is?. First they said they were defending their farms , now it is a total occupation of other people's towns , villages and farms. 4- The President didn't speak about about these conflict or tried to stop , other than call for peace. Rather than demand the unconditional withdrawal of the militia , he is hiding behind his tribal agenda. 5- Now you have a whole region expropriated from it's residents and indigenous people , yet HAG leaders are acting like little they took something they owned. Some are even calling themselves leaders of the region and naming ministers. 6- reliable sources say, that it is a well organized plan to take over Shabeelaha Hoose. REmember they could live their like anyone else, but the want to take over. They see indigenous community which doesn't have the material and the manpower of the state to fight back. That doesn't mean the wrong doers and squatters will prevail. Remember Hussein Aideed once ruled Baidoa as the undisputed governor, now you will not see one single HAg claim that region. 7-Other than few members from Puntland the SAHAL community are raising their voice. Some theories even suggest that there were understanding that HAG must support JUBBA and then SAHAL will be quite in the quest to take over Shabeelaha hoose. Where is the Prime minister, how can you watch people who have been expropriated under your nose. 8- this is not a conflict but a the total elimination and subjugation of the people of the shabeelaha hoose. 9- The HAG war and atrocities do not have any limit or moral guidelines. Just yesterday , they killed six women, among them a pregnant women. 10- early this year seven Water Maal elders who participated the Baidoa conference for the formation of the south west states were taken away from their passenger cars and murdered. 10- just last december 2013, a group of HAG from Hiiraan, who were members of the National army trained by Jibouti , attacked the town of Kabxanley in day light and murdered a large number of civilians. Just like number 50 they burned the the whole town. In the light of these Atrocities and looting of the land from the indigenous people by the HAG militia who have no faith or moral code that could stop them from committing these crimes, I am suggesting few steps which may help stop these crimes from going further. 1- The president must unequivocally condemn the crimes of these militia and order them to come back to their original positions before the beginning of the conflict. No one, will accept by your weak pronouncements of calling calm. The leaders of the militia are your allies, a simple phone call will do it. 2- If you do not take these steps, you are abandoning your moral duty to safeguard those who are not unable to defend themselves from the new militia of today. This new phenomenon of invading and land grabbing for political reasons, is becoming the symbol of your government. " soomaalidu waxay tidhaahdaa waxa ugu daran gardaro garab og". Among the HAG militia , your election is becoming a card to kill and loot once again. 3- The United Nations Monitoring group accused your government for transferring weapons from the nations depos to Non military actors mainly the HAG militia, to further their clan agenda. Many Somalis including me, supported the lifting of armed embargo from Somalia , in order to facilitate the rebuilding of the army. In the light of these atrocities and the unchecked crimes of the militia allied with army, most Somalis should rethink the easing of the embargo. 4- Most of as thought that by strengthening the nation's institutions, the grip the tribes have for the power would diminish and the security forces would help the weak. In the light of these atrocities, we no longer trust the tribal militia , masquerading as a national army. The army must be constructed in a national way. 4.5 is the way to go. we reject to give HAG militia the license to kill and steal land from the indigenous people. 5-HAG militia acting as the army must be relocated from the shabeelaha Hoose. 6- We, those who always propagate peace and justice are demanding that the UNisom command should not allow innocent people to be pushed from their land under your watch. We demand the government of Djibouti to stop supporting clan militia from committing these heinous crimes. 7- We ask the United Nations envoy to speak out against these atrocities and the people of Shabeelah Hoose. 8- The Federal Parliament must investigate and speak out against these crimes and demand the removal of the militia from these regions. 9- If Somali National government means a license for HAg to kill, loot and subjugate people , then the people of Shabeelaha Hoose and those who support peace and justice must take a new stand against the government. We thought the Formation of National permanent government was a path to justice and peace, but it is becoming a new way to get rich, maim and subjugate , then we say no to that government. If these things continue, I believe it is the end of the so called Somali Government. I think the people of Somaliland have a case when they see these kind of injustices and and wanton killing of the innocent in southern Somalia. How can you trust and share anything with blood thirsty people. I do believe we must nurture what we have in Somaliland in the meantime and see what comes from these forsaken place.

Well, rather than throw small sentences to judge or condemn me, this time, you put some points of reference that i could refute or accept. On your first, I do not know if you read at all most of my threads, but I am proud Somali, who want great things for his people. I see my people dominating economically and culturally the horn of Africa. In order to reach that milestone, not only we have to change our politics, but our behaviour and the bad habits that undermine progress. wuxuu yidhi abwaanku " Waxay na badeen, waxaa ka sii daran , waxay na bareen". While we are generous, heroic ( although by murdering one another we are becoming anti hero), and resilient people, we lack what people call virtues, like, Punctuality, work ethic, patience, and consistency. 2- here , you state that I have never done anything nor intend to do any thing in the future to improve the lives of the Somali Republic. Well, I don't think it is good idea to state all my contributions here in the SOL, but , I contributed and donated almost on all public projects like hospitals, schools, orphanages, public works and relieve issues in Somaliland in general and Awdal in particular. I never miss any relieve issue, Never. I used to participate in the so called community offices who are nothing but self serving useless offices, not any more. Since we are talking hypothetically, You could be one of those. I even tried my hand politically, which may not account much if you don't succeed, but, I could state that i was one of the founders of the Hiil_Qaran party. 3- My children are Somali-Canadian. They speak the Somali language fluently, they visit back home once in a while and are well aware of their background and their Canadian surroundings. They perform their prayers, they contribute to their communities and have great concern for the Somali people everywhere . Integrating with your communities doesn't mean assimilation. If you look today's technologie, information highways and constant bombardment of so many conflicting information, these kids have a lot to deal, yet I never take credit of their success, because Allah guides people, and I am grateful that they are God fearing decent kids in this tough environment. At the same time they are proud Canadians too. 4- Now , the genies Apophis couldn't grasp the meaning of that simple sentence regarding the monkeys. Since your kind (Atheists) do not believe that Allah the all mighty, created Adam and Eve,for the creation of humanity, I thought you believed that the Darwinian theory of evolution where humans originate from Ape ( monkey). 5- Finally, I do think there is what we call cultures and conquest. Human beings are on the move, those who are technologically and culturally advanced conquer and replace the weak and the less advanced, especially the opposite cultures. Did you hear lately in the news about the Cremia territory that Russia annexed from Ukrain, well it was the home of Muslim Tatars who once conquered Baghdad. I do have a great respect for the Canadian Aboriginals, but, regardless of their ancestors, I just consider them as one of the multi ethnic groups living in this country. Further more, putting sentimentals aside, I totally disagree with their constant opposition to resource development. That is why I am neither a socialist, nor the so called greens who worry about polar bears. I want my community to have jobs and opportunity , not for Dolphins or polar bears. Worrying about the Indians of nineteen centuries and the actions of the conquerors of that era is a good way to entice young minds and activists to do do good deeds on earth. When you are a middle aged man who must feed his family, you just deal with today's reality. When You had stake in the world , certain sentimentals do disappear. Finally, if you had the opportunity to live in that era, you would have been among the conquerors. It was a jungle, the fittest could only survive. Any way deep down , I think you may not like people of faith coming together and cooperating for the common good.
-
Of course I am grateful. Just state which statement you are opposed, rather resort to name calling, Besides false pride is useless. you must backed up with deeds. I remember , when I came to Canada long time ago. I struggled like everyone else. A friend told me to go the welfare office, which is where everyone will guide you. When I went to the office, I felt like someone out of place. When I looked people standing in the lineup, what I saw was, Long haired hippies, deshaffled white people and people I thought who represented the worst of Canada were there. I stayed few minutes and I left. Never looked back. It is not my intention to put down those who are in need. The term " the moral foundation of backward society" was a title of a book written by an american sociologist, who in nineteen fifties, was comparing the behaviour of two cities. one was a small agricultural town in Kansas, the other , also a town in Calabria region of Italy. since I read the book almost about 15 years ago , the Kansas community was cooperating to fix their problems. The womens were fund raising for the local hospital, the fire fighters were all volunteers and it looked a real community. In Italian town, everyone was worrying about what they called " La miseria", the constant poverty and how to get out without ant community involvement. He even checked the Sunday church basket and there were no donations, yet they also always talk about " la familia". The land lords exploit the poor as much as possible and those who made better life will abuse the rest. To make the story short, I compared some of the Somali cultures about " la familia" without contributing the larger community. It is easy to find a guy or woman who is spending tens of thousands of dollars to take on of their family member to a foreign hospital for a cure, but if you ask them to donate one hundred dollars for the local hospital, they may not pay. It is easy to find a group of neighbors with big villas and expensive cars , but there will be dust roads and potholes in front of their big houses. Dadkan iskama jabin mar qudha ee waa wax soo jiitamayey. We want to fix it by talking about it. Maybe you don't belong anymore or " meel bugta miyaan taabanayaa". Apophis, I am not sophisticated like those of you who think that humans came from a monkey, so state your case clearly.
-
I know her father Ahmed Naaleeye, he lives here. He retired from the social services department after almost thirty years of service and helped a lot of Somalis on the way, especially newcomers. It looks she is following a family tradition.
