  1. Ducaale, Saaxiib I am not quick-witted person. Far waa weyn baan u baahanay in wax la iigu sheego .
  2. This is one of the main reasons the people of Awdal will never get capable people who would advocate for their issues. I did talk to someone last week about the drought issues and encouraged him to speak up about the plight of the people. He said If I go the the microphone and blame the government for their lack of mitigating this consecutive droughts in the region, I am sure that someone, especially an elder will speak after me and say, " Waxaan dawlada ka raali gelinayaa hadalkii dhaliisha ahaa uu sidaayey Ina hebel". This Ahmed Samaale gentleman, although not an elder, is probably the typical people I did mention. Rather than address the drought issue, he is barking to the wrong guy. "Waxa uu madaxweynaha ka raali gelinayaa hadalkii Ahmed Saciid Cige ". The people in the coast need help to establish fishing communities and other life sustaining things like water reservoirs and small scale ports for trade. As you usual every development goes to the Jeegaan . Here , another fishing community in Berbera--where else. Zaylici, the fool that never learns anything , started again his usual job of being the scissorman (Maqasle) of cutting ribbons in Jeegaan land. It is Lughaya that needs these things.
  3. well, this Tabit guy did a lot of work, but he also spent a lot of time campaigning to take center stage. He was pushing too much. at this stage of securing both Mogadishu and the country in general, the government can not afford to start a painstaking issue to debate the status of the capital. He was told to postpone the Mogadishu issue at the moment , yet he ignored and reintroduced again. He did not understand that Mogadishu is the only place the government is ruling directly and Khayre can not give that to Tabit. This idea of directly challenging the prime minister is politically motivated move by Tabit to prepare for future campaigns. C/raxman Yariisaw has shown throughout the years as one of the few southern politicians who is 100% pro state building. He is also a loyal soldier and a team player.
  4. Allah ha u Naxariisto mama Khadija C. Dallays. Samir iyo Iimaan qaraabadii iyo cidii taqaanay oo dhan. Amiin.
  5. Duriyadu raali ha ahaato . Waa laga yaabaa in uu Uraago inagu dhaqan ah in uu yahay
  6. He is in a mess created by the last Kulmiye government. Other than the army no salary was paid to civil servants in January, and war is the only way to distract the people. If he starts this war, he will be branded as warmonger by the EU and others, and large segment of the people don't want this war . He is between rock and hard place
  7. For seven years the Somaliland system of government was transformed as a business enterprise to loot the public purse, land, infrastructure , public buildings and houses, and every empty plot of land whether it is school property, parks or libraries. Every government office was used as a vehicle to fraudulently embazel the property of the public for personal benefits. Oil terminals, ports and public land were sold for pennies to the dollar. All the buyers need to do is offer few kickbacks and you could buy everyone and everything including ports, oil terminals, rich minerals from the mountains and about a dozen licenses for oil exploration. Most of those who stole the money including the former finance minister had left Somaliland and settled back to London. The man who supposed to watch the shop had cognitive illness (Dementia and old age due to stroke) which enabled his family members and the Jeegaan coalition to rob every thing. His inability to govern was apparent as early as 2011, yet critics of the leader and his administration were bought and silenced. Due to consecutive and successful elections help by the Rayaale administration, millions were provided to alleviate poverty and enhance capital projects. Also, they got a lion's share of the hundred of millions of dollars allocated by the international community for Somali relief and capacity building in the region. By promising to unite with the federal government in the near future, they got almost half of all aides allocated to Somalia from EU, US, Arab countries and Turkey. Unfortunately, all that money was looted and spent in huge villa's and buildings in Hargeisa. If you compare the so called Booli Qaran-- which was less than a hundred mansions built in and around Mogadishu in nineteen eighties by Siyaad Barre connected looters--this one is hundred times bigger Booli Qaran, and those who visited Hargeisa today are marveled the extensive looting and how the money is used to build mansions and buildings in Hargeisa. Yet, unemployment is 70% and the rural people are suffering, water is scarce everywhere and there is no plan to alleviate this issues. The rampant inflation felt by the poor and everyone in Somaliland is due partly by the excessive availability of huge money by the looters which are buying the few commodities that are available in the market. The commodities in the market are limited and there is no local production of these goods. Inflation occurs when demand in goods and services in an economy rises more rapidly than the economy's productive capacity. When the prices of food, clothing, housing, services and fuel rises, it will be felt by everyone except those who looted the public purse and have plenty of the unearned money. Another major cause of the inflation is the increased supply of money in the market. Almost every year, the Jeegaan government had printed hundred of billions of Somaliland Shillings and released to the market without proper economic policy. That is why you need a big dolly to carry one thousand dollars. They hired their own Jeegaan members across the civil service and allowed others to draw unearned salaries. The Siilaanyo palace alone had 120 full time employees plus a garrison of soldiers with 10% of the budget. Huge and rich nations do not even have that kind of workforce in the prime ministers office or the president. His wife had built two big hotels one in Mogadishu and one in Hargeisa. According to some researchers women embazel money more than their husbands and Somali women are not different. Now, welcome to the Jeegaan 2.0 . Hundreds of Millions of public and private money had been spent to elect Ina Biixi and his Jeegaan coalition. Everyone was was aware that Muuse could not pass neither the threshold needed to lead Somaliland nor become a respectable leader. C/raxman Cirro was a decent God fearing man who might have made few political mistakes, but the way he acted during the election showed that he was mature, good hearted man and his supporters wanted to show the people not a tough guy but a decent sensible guy who could unite the people. Unfortunately, the wrong guy became the leader and he is already sinking like a boat with big holes. What did he do for the last 30 days?. He tried to intimidate the youth by shaving their heads by force and issued gag orders to the media. This are minor issues but the big news everyone is hiding has taken place in Djibouti. Now it is apparent to everyone that the Jeegaan never planed to give up power no matter what. We know now that they have bought almost everyone including the election observers of the opposition parties. Not long ago, tribal elders were given " Cimaamad" or few hundred dollars. In this Jeegaan victory, Hundred of politicians, elders and brokers became rich during and after the election. Mohamed Aw Saeed of Som Cable has spent almost half a million dollar to buy one sub, sub clan of Awdal in order to sway the vote. SomCable, Djibouti and the changing of Somalia's 252 country code. If Russian money laundering and foreign banks were the catalyst that brought The Donald Trump business from bankruptcies in early 2000, it was Mohamed Aw Saeed who single handedly defeated Rayaale and brought now Muuse Biixi. I do not want to rehash how Ina Aw Saeed and Rayaale clashed which needs more space, but we will concentrate how this oligarch from Djibouti , who has both business and family connection to Cumar Gheelle family, is trying to make hundred of millions of dollar from the investment he spent on the Jeegaan fraud election. Som Cable owned by Aw Saeed was working for the last ten years to keep the monopoly of all cable, internet and telephone in Somaliland and is also planning to expand through Somalia. The other competitor is Telesom, a pioneer in telephone in all of Somalia from Zaylac, Puntland all the way to Mogadishu. Ahmed Siilaanyo denied the Telesome business plan to bring cable from Oman two years ago. That business deal eventually came to the shores of Somalia through Boosaaso which was opened last week by Farmaajo . Everyone knows that business monopoly is bad for the consumers and the public who should be given the choice of buying services from different companies in order to bring down prices. It is just a common sense. Now, in order to get back the millions he spent in the Jeegaan election, AW Saeed want to change the Somali telephone code of 252 to the Djibouti country code of 253. For the innocent public or what we call in the north " Gaas Dhagoole", this change of number was presented as Somaliland trying to be independent of Somalia and get it's own number which is free from Somali control. That means without lifting a finger or putting any huge infrastructure, Ina Aw Saeed want to make money for every single phone call made from around the world to Somaliland while sitting in his Djibouti office. Telesom is a company with large shareholders around the Somali region. I do not know the percentage, but in every region, the operators are local and they own a big share of the business. By the way the threat of the telecom companies to the Somali state is real and well known every where , and especially in the south. Another overriding reason is also, the anti Jeegaan people of Somaliland own shares in the Telesom company. Since the aim of the Jeegaan is to suck life out of everyone, and deny any economic gains that might challenge their monopoly in power, they are willing to do the unthinkable of denying economic prosperity to the other clans and sell the country to the highest bidder . Cumar Gheelle bites like a rat and then soothes the wound. In order to replace his uncle Hassan Guuleed ten years from late eighties , he allied himself with Menguistu of Ethiopia. While Hassan Guuleed tried to reconcile the Somalis, Geelle was serving first Mengistu and later Meles Zenawi till this day. THere were half a dozen men who were more senior or deserving to replace Guuleed, yet one by one , he either killed them, exiled them or put them in jail. No one can even whisper inside djibouti without making sure that no spy is listening. This year will be his twentieth year in power, yet for most Somalis the only dictator they keep cursing is Jaalle Siyaad. He was the chief cabinet of his uncle's government who was in charge of both internal security and intelligence. It was during this time that he cooperated with Mengistu to dismember Somalia and replace his uncle ten years after. He is shrewd politician and a gangster who knows how to play political games. Most of you do not know him, but as early as 1977, he was a member of the vice police who used to oversee the red district used by the French army. Since this place is a family blog, we will leave at that. Just like the TPLF, Kenyans and others who are taking advantage of the weak Somalia, Gheele is biting the weak Somali lion and soothes the wound at the same time. The Jeegaan is after money and power to loot the people and Geelle is one of the vehicles to achieve that goal. If we , the Somalis who understand culture , history and destiny ever come to power, Geelle, Ethiopia and others will back their boxes and leave the blessed republic of Somalia for good. The Jeegaan is begging Djibouti and others to restart the unproductive and useless Somali negotiations for nefarious or business interest reasons. They are not interested to heal the wound among brothers, but to further their strategy to gain market for their financiers and gain access for foreign aid. What would the federal government do about these oligarchs robbing the Somali people. Also, both Djibouti and Ethiopia had forced him to rethink the Dubai port and base issue. Since UAE funded Egyptian army arrived in Eritrea things went from theory to reality. There is no guarantee that the UAE controlled base could be used solely by the Emities alone. So far DP World had not done their side of the agreement and Djibouti and Ethiopia want to scrap the whole port deal. The Hungry Jeegaan foreign policy led by a soft speaking crook called Sacad Cali Shire cashed few million signing bonuses and gave away the whole port. The treasury is empty and the only thing that are doing lately is fire as many employees as possible until some foreign aid arrives. They discard the Somali area code for Djibouti to help SomCable, they scrap the port construction deal with Dubai. So, what people are wondering in this is , what does Somaliland get in return from these countries?. Is it a green light for war in Sool?, is it a recognition and military help? or to help him to oppress his people. Personally, I believe it is te later. Since opposition to Jeegaanta is getting bigger in Sanaag, Sool, Awdal, Togdheer and even Hargeisa, he needs the help of the Ethiopian regime to keep him in power.
  8. Wallee ninkan OO malaha waa Suldaankii oo shaadh kale soo xidhay. Can you see how he jumps in at thought of Ali Khalliff opposed by the majority and then changes the subject. Waar ninku waa reer soomaalilnd aan biyo ismarin.
  9. Waar ninkan ina wareeriyey ee OO cid kale maahan ee waa nin Duriyada ah. He coping and pasting some Ethiopian and Eritrean issue from the internet to make it legitimate and jumps on immediately ant thing that concerns Somaliland. Odhan maayo waan ku dhaara. Waxaan u Baahanahay Tilamook iyo raga la mid ah in ay nikann soo ogaadaan.
  10. He is probably getting good advice. I was reading this week a book called " On Becoming a leader" One of the major points that impress me was the difference between the leader and the manager. While the manager (Khayre) is a technocrat that focuses the day to day operations, the leader (Farmaajo) should be visionary and must focus more on people. here are few examples: the manager administers, the leader innovates. the manager relies on control, the leader inspires people. the manager focuses on system and structure, the leader focuses on people. The President should not spend all his energy about the " Dillaaliinta Muqdishu" who are only worry about their pockets. He must be able to gauge and see the horizon. What is going on in Zaylac and Ceerigaabo and Jijiga. Focus on building capacity and reaching out to people. You must have a vision of where you want to be in four years and work hard on that. Haddii aad ku mashquusho C/ shakuur , meel fog gaadhi maysid. One more thing, the plot to storm the house of Cabdi Qaybdiid was a big coup to ignite a new civil war. Imagine if those soldiers entered the house and killed the man and his wife as the plot was planned by UAE. The next afternoon a war would have started. Illaahay waxa uu inaga badbaadiyey afgembi khatar ahaa. Sidaan sheegay Farmaajo waa nin barakaysan oo geesinimo la yimid. When the Turkish coup plotters bombed the hotel Erdogan was staying things got from bad to worse. Erdogan jumped to a plane, and when he was on the sky, a couple F-16 fighter jets were sent to shoot him down. Some of his family members and aides told him to fly to Germany and seek shelter . He refused and flew back to Istanbul airport where the people came out and defeated the Gulan coup. Folks , you need courage to succeed. Illaahay Qoomna ma bedelo illaa ay iyagu isbedelaan. If we all do the right things, Allah will d the rest.
  11. Yunis, We the diaspora care about the country more than people might think. Most of us are probably political junkies who like to debate issues. When we criticises Farmaajo and his government, it does not mean that we want him to fail. In fact, we want him to succeed for the sake of all us. Faraska Usha waxa loogu dhuftaa in uu dheereeyo. At the same time, we want the leaders to be accountable and do the right or we will speak up. Those who care about our country must feel great about this trip. Holac, I think despite pressure from Ethiopia and there's, C/weli is aware about the importance of the national government. Aslo, Farmaajo was dispensing millions of dollars of infrastructure investments throughout those regions. When you have the cheque book people would listen. I really changed my mind about C/weli Gaas. He is building airports, expanding ports, roads, and other infrastructure less than four years. He is cooperating with the national government and he sees the big picture. For Puntland and Somalia, C/weli will be 100% better than Faroole or Cali Xaaji. Faroole is totally lost it.
  12. You bring China to invest billions, yet you saying America is not happy about that, but Britain is defending Ethiopia from the American unger. It does not make sense. German bank is buying the Yuan like any other central bank. It is member of Nato and close ally of US. German export to US is close to 100 Billion a year. I do not get it. America is spending over half billion to Ethiopia. Huge amount of that money goes for weapons and to fight the imaginary war on terror , yet you saying UK is the patron. By the way, since Ethiopia invaded Somalia it's help from US increased, Now, Somalia can approach China or whoever we wish. THe world is changing and it does not revolve on one single nation. Wa want to keep our relationship with the western countries because hundred of thousands of our people live there. It is our home away from home. By the way are you saying the USA with Ethiopia created Al-shabaab?
  13. Suldaanka, You are a good and young soldier defending Somaliland as much as you can, but we know the fact is different than the actual reality of the SL army. It is true that many of the foot soldiers are from different regions, but the officers are exclusively from Muuse Biixi clan. Never seen in the history of any somali region or government , except Jubbaland and SL were more than half of the officers came from one single clan. They have 16 colonels out of the 30, including the chief of the army. If you ad their Burco sidekick that makes them more than 70%. AS we speak , there is a new slogan which the Somaliland people are saying loudly . "Dhiiga Soomaalida , lagu midayn maayo Soomaaliland" No one is willing to die to boost the standing of Ina Biixi. People from every region are calling their boys not to die for the Jeegaan.
  14. Despite what the Jeegaan is claiming Somaliland is very venerable and this time I do believe that Muuse Biixi might not even finish his term. They are throwing a lot of money in to the Sool region and want to use an unnecessary war to boost his standing but the opposition is bigger than the Jeegaan itself this time. I am not talking about the political parties but the people and regions who want to bring down Muuse and the Jeegaan. When the Somali people were suffering through war and famine, and the prospect of Somali state was slim, they could not get the so called recognition. Now that the Somali state is rising, the tide will turn not only against the ideology but "The Jeegaan" clique. Soomaali markay bisada ahaydba haddii ay wax noqon waayeen, imika oo Soomaalidu sidii libaaxa xanuun ka soo kacay oo soo fadhido, uma malaynayo in ay meel tagayaan. I expect a Tamil style end.
  15. This trip by Farmaajo was very courageous. Despite its security challenges , he took a big risk and made a bold move. Sometimes those who rule these regions do not even travel by land. I always believed that there is a huge difference between the politician and the public. The president or any other Somali leader should allow the naysayers or his opposition to prevent tp reach the people. He must meet and sense the pulse of the people. The Somali people want to see and feel their leaders. The Somali people has matured in so many ways, and they have shown their eagerness to have a responsible government among the free nations of the world. Dadkaaga in ama siyaasi ama reer hebel kaa horjoogsada ma ahan, Siyaasigu wakiil kama aha mushtamaca, inkasta oo qaarkood ay soo doorteen. This Farmaajo guy seems to be a blessed and good hearted man that the Somali public are immensely attracted to him. Rather than shake hands and fly back to the bunker (Villa-Somalia) he is spending days ans weeks to his people. I think this is a successful trip.
  16. You are right. They must renounce the Oromo and build their relations with Somalis. These people were oppressed for two hundred years by the Abyssinian empire. Because of their diverse geographical locations which stretches from west of Jijiga all the way to the border of Sudan. Lage percentage of them are Muslims who want to be free, they also have large christian population and millions who are animists. Most are peasants and farmers who are isolated from other civilizations. The animists and others who are connected to the Ethiopian system are very dangerous to us. The biggest fear is that the TPLF could direct some of these know nothings against us . AS many have said , population separation is the best solutions at the moment.
  17. Egypt does need to occupy Ethiopia. Eritrea had been under sanctions for 15 years, and this Egyptian alliance will be their card to get out of the crippling sanctions. The sanctions against Sudan was lifted through the help of Saudi Arabia after the former deployed troops to Yemen. The planes will fly from an Eritrean air bases located couple of hundred miles from the Dam and will fly back to their base. Ethiopia have to move 100,000 soldiers or more to invade Eritrea and move all their military resources to the mountainous border. I can not wait to see how this geopolitical game ends. It will change the whole region.
  18. The Ormo are not that stupid to use " Al-shabab" like name to further their political future. Why would any entity in the horn of Africa use the name of a terrorist organization known around the world as evil and criminal entity that murders civilian in east Africa.
  19. OO, We know the Oromo that are pushing the Anti Somali narrative. They are the Monarchists who were raised under Emperor Selassie and those who are usually think like Amhara. It is not people like Jawar Mohammed or others. The Somali Oromo issue will die soon. All they need is effective security supervision and separation i some regions. Dire-Dawa is now dominated by Oromo and those in the City have good relations with the Somali. The former Mayor who was Oromo built Mosques and other amenities denied by the Derg. I can assure these skirmishes will end either by population separation or peaceful resolution, but the Ethiopian problem is bigger than Somalis and Oromo's.
  20. OO, please do not try to interpret events for us . We can differentiate the difference between your propaganda and what others write. WE do not speak Afaan Oromo , yet we know that what Mr. Jawar said is totally different than what you have inserted there. Again, just write exactly what he wrote in English without adding your peace then we can discuss. Also, when Tilamook said you are the chief obscurer, it was not a compliment or being a chief , he meant you are chief in misleading. Further more , you said, Che, Well, Ethiopia is not Canada or US where states and provinces call help from the federal government during disasters. Oppressive Ethiopian armies are all over the region killing innocent people around the country. They do not need to come from Addis. They are everywhere to rule by gun, so please spare us that the tigre led army will 'need a cabinet approval to intervene.
  21. The Siilaanyo government looted every thing. They signed deals with individual vultures from around the world. These stones are from Simmoodi and Lughaya region of Awdal. The people who leave around these minerals are starving . The Chinese could no longer mine illegally due to the opposition of the Somali government and the Chinese state. Now they basically go to the mountains and haul these rare elements while paying peanuts. At least these porters know that these are not construction stones.
  22. Maakhri, The Jarso are Somali by ethnicity a 100%. I do not want to write here the whole tribal genealogy , but their roots go through the Dir can. We the Adwalites are Madalug Dir, and the Jaarso are Madaxweyne Dir. The Jaarso live inhabit : Jigjiga, Jinacsani, Babeli,Tuliguleed, Hadow, Dhagahle, Bombaas, Fayanbiro, Fayan Hujubo, Ordo,Kombulsho, Gursum, Diri dawa, Dadar,Qulubi, Ejersa Goro, Harar, Haramaya, Baali, Hawaday, Awash Part of Oromia Region and also live in the border of kenya. The Horyaal Democratic Party was founded by the Dir Jaarso clan and Awadal clan,s their area of influence straddles the Somaliland border and incorporated the Dire Dawa, Jijiga,Jinacsani,Ajersa Kora and the Awbar zones. As Suldaan Will Waal said the other day, there are over two million of these Somalis who adopted Oromo language in their area. If you visit between Harar and Dire Dawa you will see the so called Warro" Somalis who live in these lands. Those who live around Jijiga , Jinacsani And Tulli area exclusively are Somali speakers as those in the clip Cali Xadhaadhe interviewed, Yet these Jaarso Somalis had made huge miscalculation and historical decisions that will affect their future within Ethiopia and the Somali region of Ethiopia. Cities like Fayaanbiire with a large Somali population has joined the Oromo zone in order to escape the Somali " Geeljire" oppression who were running the Somali zone. A town like Jinacsani which is less than 30 km to the Somali border became the Oromo Zone. these places were part of the Somali zone until the so called referendum of 2004. The people killed inside Oromo zone are mostly the Somali Jarso and others who are ethnic Somalis. Somalis have the habit of escaping from one minor oppression to a bigger one, rather than show some patience and perseverance to overcome the problem. The Somali tribal rebels complained about the minor oppressions of Siyaad Bare , and went to MInguistu Hailemarium , one of the bloodiest dictators of the twentieth century who murdered 60 generals thousands of officers and tens of thousands of civilians, which brought us today the mess we are all trying to get out. The Oromo people have flooded Hargeisa, Borama and Djibouti for the last 30 years. In Somaliland , there are almost 100,000 Oromo population. So the Somalis in Hararghe region are also flooded by large population growth of the Oromo, yet if you look back in early fifties oe even sixties, these were Somali regions. There was a poem which was authored by a Somali in late fifties which said: Goorma ayaa Hobyo, Herar( Dooxa herar Hargeisa) Iyo Hawaas isku hiilin doonaan. The Jaarso must reverse that referendum and stay with their Somali people despite the hardship they had faced from Illey and company. Here is the Jaarso businessman from Jijiga who was kicked from his hotel and taken to Jinacsani.
  23. Free market without competition is just a monopoly to enrich few people. The Oman fiber optic cable is much cheaper than the Somecable owned by Mohamed AW Said , an oligarch who mainly financed Muuse Biixi campaign. People in Somaliland are paying hundred of dollars to access these services. If the Oman cable comes, the price could easily go 50% less than what people are paying. Ministers who signed these project two years ago were fired on the stop by Siilanyo. The whole economy is based on import and resale, and people are suffering. There is no commission to regulate electricity, cable, telephone or any other services.
  24. Since Kulmiye came to power Somaliland suffered consistent drought and inflation. Bill baa ka soo wareegtay Intii ina Biixi xukunka yimid , hadda waxa durba bilaabmay colaad iyo abaar. Folks, ina Biixi will rule over inflation, drought and war. Until the people get rid of these people expect misery. Waa Suna kawniya.
