Also, there is large Gedo community, mostly students and their family in Borama who adopted well in the city just like others from Puntland and Mogdishu. This community has paid a huge price to keep Somalia free from total Krnyan domination and Ethiopian control of Jubba region. Without them, Ethiopia and her allies would have taken Kismaayo and the region long ago. They have also supported the national government whether the president is C/laahi Yusuf, Hassan Sheikh or Farmaajo. Without Gedo community Kenya would have annexed the Jubba regio long ago. Yet, without total peace in Jubbaland , Gedo will not prosper. The first step is to remove the Kenyan army from the land and recreate a new Jubba administration supported by the local people. Everyone knows that a Jubbaland administration created by the occupying army will not survive when Kenyan troops leave. The Gedo people are fine Somali nationalist that must be helped in these difficult times.
