  1. OOdweyne, welcome back. Nolosha cusub ayaanu soo dhaweynaynaa. look to the future.
  2. Suldaanka, it is2019, let us talk about the future and leave behind the bad memories of 1991.
  3. The Jibril Abokor were kept to Wajaale and Gabiley. They didn't come to this side. Some of them wherein the coast. The city was shelled by tanks. It is well known in Borama. The SNM entered a defenseless city ransacked and killed hundreds and then moved to Dila and burned the town. After that people organized. If we were filled with hatred or tribal revenge as you claim we would have asked arms from Siyaad Barre and organized a jabhad and could had murdered as many people as possible. TheAWdal people were never given one single gun by Siyaad barre. We were by standards in the war waged by a tribe against the state. There were no major skirmishes until late 1988 when the SNM stormed Hargeisa and Burco. They were repulsed with huge civilian casualty..They were never a big threat until 1991. nothing major did happen until the SOMALI STATE COLLAPSEOF1991. THESE KILLINGS TOOK in early 1991. If we knew the state is going to collapse or organized by tribal hatred, we would have armed our selves., but we did not. I have never seen anyone single story in Awdal were someone or group went to murder innocent people. Stop this siege mentality that claims everyone was murdering us.
  4. Anyway, the people have moved on peace and co-existence created the current system, and despite its weaknesses people want to preserve the hard fought peace until something better replaces. Rer Awdal dagaal ma rabaan wakhtigan , nabad iyo horumar ayey qaateen. I do not expect any instability in the west at the moment
  5. It is against our tradition . we didn’t loot and will never loot. Sometimes, the Habro boys lose their head and start false accusations just to be defensive. For them every thing is internet public relations, and will throw something, who knows it might stick. No Awdalite went to Hargeisa to loot, people were trying to leave Hargeisa because of the indiscriminate killings. Most of the people have settled and moved on after the peace but since everyone is using their victim hood, The Awdal people wAnt to tell their stories and their loses. The Awdal community was always defensive. Also there was evidence that theEthiopian tanks of Mengistu had shelled and were between Dila and Borama. We didn’t even organize ourselves until late when the crazy guys killed people in mosques in Wajaale. The war wasn’t only in Dila and Borama area. We have been defending the coastal regions from the Djibouti border all the way to northern Lughaya. We were fighting the Djibouti community who were also helping SNM and we did hold that area until a peace treaty was signed. Despite all of that the biggest destruction of Hargeisa and Burco took place during the war between theHabro. We went to Sheikh, Berbera, Burco and Hargeisa to save the crazy Habro who lost their mind.
  6. Self preservation and then jumping to airplane back to America like C/weli Gaas is a lost opportunity. For two years, he never showed one single agreement with other governments.
  7. Che, If that is the case, why Farmaajo giving them the shop unconditionally. I always believed that there won't be free lunch. You gain lawfully for what you have worked. No foreign armies will secure Somalia. Abiy will do what is good for Ethiopia.
  8. You are right. This Trudeau guy is ametuer. He got a big issue with China by arresting the most important Chinese executive on behalf of Trump. He even want to depose an elected leader like Maduro. The election was boycotted by the opposition , but Maduro was elected.
  9. OO, Today the most difficult rebel group making problems for ABIY Ahmed and Ethiopia are the former rebels Oromo Liberation front (OLF) in south western Ethiopia, especially Wallega region. Even the Ethiopian army had bombed their positions when they overrun a police station and killed large number police officers. There were reports that the weapons are sent from Tigray to Sudan and then to Wallega. So, Sudan must control the follow of weapons, At the moment , Ethiopia has good relations with Turkey despite its close financial relations with the UAE. Sometimes , nations deal with different geopolitical rivals. Look at Turkey, it has good and close relations with both Russia and Ukraine who are adversaries. Eritrea shouldn't deal with Sudan. You know what, Why don't we wait for some time and see how the geopolitics of the region align themselves. OO, how is Tigray doing these days? did you guys handed the big boys who were being sought by Abiy?. Stop beating the bush, we need some inside info about the mischievous Tigray.
  10. OO, you raised a good point about Eritrean presence in Sudan. I have met many Eritreans who told me that they were born in Sudan while in exile. I also remember Isiais Afwork attacking everyone in his neighborhood. Djibouti is strategic for Ethiopia and there is already infrastructure, but the Northern Ethiopian region are closer to Assab, Eritrea. Also, the Amhara want to get back Eritrea through business and population exchange. The trade from Tigray to Eritrea has increased tremendously . Eritrea was closed for 20 years and a lot of local goods are traveling from Ethiopia. OO, why you don't tell us about the Tigray diaspora media longing to join Eritrea, is this just a dream or reality?
  11. According to Faadumo Dayib, a well respected activist and former Somali women representative at the Un, the Somali leaders are by standards and guests of those who are auctioning the Somalia Oil blocks in the Indian ocean. According to Faadumo Dayib the Somali delegation who are participating on the action of the resources can't even pay their own travel and lodging bills let alone control the transduction. The auction is organized and managed by a British firm, and they are paying the flights, hotels and per diem expenses of the Somalis who went to London (I am not sure if they did depart already) to witness the auction. In other words, they have no say. How can you represent the interest of your nation when foreigners are paying your basic needs like hotel and daily expenses. How can a nation trying to survive against daily insurgency attacks and instability within the nation's capital has moral authority to sell the national resources. A government under the protection of foreign armies who is unable to control the nation's capital , let alone other regions, is auctioning a territory that it doesn't control. Why are they throwing billions of dollars of resources without due diligence. In Libya, different groups control the oil resources and each one of them is dealing with foreign tankers to sell the oil. Somalia doesn't control the Jubba area region and its coast at the moment, yet they giving away a resource that is in foreign hands. The Somali parliament must reject these moves and auctions. Now we know why this Khayre guy was brought on board. The same people who control Som oil company are the ones auctioning our oil. The same conservative party insiders who created the shell company that doesn't have any other oil interest in the world but a company called Som Oil. We must stop this. I do believe Faadumo Dayib than Khayre.
  12. Our friend OOdweyne is probably hiding these days. Despite our differences we miss OOdweyne here in SOL. How about the wise guy Suldaanka? he is not saying anything despite this huge theft. Our friend Gooni was saying Farmaajo was correct to hire a foreigner for the bank, and Suldaanka and other might exsonatate this crime of the decade in Somaliland. Here watch this fool Ina Dhoola Yare who supposed to be the opposition saying " Muuse waa in uu maxakamad soo taagaa kuwa waxan sameeyey" Waar bal nacaskan eega. Muuse is the leader of this orchestra and Mr. Sacad is the singer. A crime this big is organized from the top. Muuse himself must answer. No wonder the opposition Wadani is in trouble when Mahdi Buubaa and Dhoola yare play the Kulmiye games. Now, here is the real opposition sending SOL message clear as we stated here this morning. Sodon sano oo been ah ahi waxaas ayey dhashay. Anigu ma arag iyo hebel iima dhiiban.
  13. Cadnaan1, I did not see that video. If that is the case, then Al-shabaab is targeting Mr. Deni and Puntland again. The South West boys are now probably the majority of the foot soldiers of Al-shabaab. The ideological leaders of Al-shabaab are mostly D block and Dir (mostly northern D...r), the financiers are mainly HAG and foot soldiers are mainly South West. The Al-shabaab INc. company is an equal opportunity company that mostly hires those who are disadvantaged in the corrupt Somali system. Insiders are always telling us that joining Al-shabaab is a big step for young unemployed boys. Villages and towns like them in different ways.As soon as they take over a town they quickly marry all the available bachelorettes of the town. The boys next door or those who supposed to marry these girls are probably chewing Qat. So, the whole town would be in wedding mood as soon as these insurgents show up. The father in law and the family usually appreciates these young men who are marrying these girls who were waiting for real men for years. Also, those who are poor or hailed from families that the Somali Geeljire looks down would marry the girl and take care of business. They also get paid on time always. Kuwana waxay i dhaheen reer hebel gabadhan ma guursan karaan, Al-shabaabna waxay igu dareen gabar, ka dibna coomander way iga dhigeen. If some of the guys dies in these battles , the next guy will marry and take care of the family. In Al-shabaab controlled territory there are no single, widowed or divorced women. Do you think a corrupt Somali soldier who steals and takes bribes would defeat these guys?. The most successful force that eliminated Al-shabaab were the PIS commanded by a man called general Dayaano who was proactive because his men were paid well. Then again why send someone all the way from Bay? is Roobow in action?
  14. As of this morning , Mr. Buuba the cover up artists, and member of parliament was sacked by chairman Cirro. Walaahi, I did not see this news when I posted an hour or so ago, but i did smell the cover up. Did you see the minister was all smiles . He depicted this just as little missed paper work. https://youtu.be/g-NiM3I3slE?t=3
  15. Is this a man seeking to highlight the theft or an agent to cover up the theft.
  16. This is the kind of things that bring down the government. Also , the member of the parliament was acting like someone who discovered the $80 million. No , he was just told about it and he seemed to be happy about it like someone asked to cover up the theft. Wadani party should call all those involved on this issue including Samsam, Mr. Guulleed , the last minister and the soft spoken crook Mr. Sacad Shire
  17. This is corruption at the highest level . How can anyone miss $80 million dollars. The Somaliland budget for 2018 was $168 million . To say a debt worth 50% of the budget is missed by the government is huge. The former finance minister Ms Samsam said that she is not aware of any debt that was in the books. She said all borrowed money were under registered accounts at the government bank. We need to hear from the former minister who was replaced just after serving 11 months. He might have refused to cover this theft. Walaahi meeshani meel tuugo ku shaqaysato ayey noqotay. Sacad Shire is a soft talking crook. They present this as an accounting discrepancy. How can you miss $80 million. Soon , Muuse Biixi and this crooked minister will be probably paying their crooked business oligarchs whom borrowed millions during the campaign. This is huge . To steal 50% of the 2018 budget was unheard of.
  18. OO. The UAE isn't as strong they project at the moment. They are under investigation in Washington and in Europe. When I was there in last December, their real state was at bottom level and their stock market had the worst year since 2008. Their hotels were at discount level. Four or five hotels that were costing $250 dollar or more were discounted at hundred dollar Canadian or less. The Muslim main street is voting with their feet and wallet. People in the gulf itself are buying property in Turkey and others are staying away from the gulf. They are subsidizing almost everything , but at the end the cash might disappear. They are holding Boosaaso and Berbera to keep others away for the next few years . One thing that I might agree with you is that this murder could be politically or economically motivated and the so called Al-shbaab is probably nothing more than a hired killer.
  19. Most of the Solers probably didn't pay attention to the Asian Football Championship (AFC) held in UAE. Although I followed the results , I didn't see much of the game other than the final game as prerecorded. We have satellite dish with Arabic speaking sport channels. While the championship game between Japan Vs Qatar was exiting with Qatar winning 3:1, the most anticipated games of the tournament were the semi final game between Qatar and UAE, and between group games between Qatar vs Saudi Arabia. The sport media dubbed those games especially the semi final Qatar vs UAE as the blokade derby. The Saudis were defeated 2:0 , but took their defeat honorably. The UAE were totally lost not only the game but their dignity and honor. They denied Qatari citizens to attend and cheer their team by enforcing the innocent people to attend the games by upholding their unreasonable blockade, yet other fans from Cumaan and other countries cheered for Qatar during games against Saudi arabia. In order to deny any support for the Qataris, the UAE football counsel had bought all the remaining tickets and distributed for free to their citizens. In Abu Dhabi stadium 42,000 Emirates cheered for their team without no single fan from Qatar. The Qatari team was playing in this hostile environment. Despite all that unsportsmanship and ugly culture of the gulf Arabs, the Qataris had defeated and humiliated the Emirates 4:0. As the game proceeded their fans had thrown bottles and other trash objects to the Qatari players. Even the first goal seemed to be miracle from God. It also showed the arrogance of the Arab culture and the gulf in general. Governments might feud with one another but denying people to people daily contacts are not only cruel but pity and childish. We Somalis must keep away with mixing these kind of cultures in the gulf.
  20. Cadnaan. That is a lot of money. 107 billion could go a long way. This Mohamed Bin Salmaan guy maybe isn't as fool as he looks.
  21. OO, This time you went too far. Puntland has no business in Kililka and Oromo issues. Om the other hand , you could do well in promotion and advertising department.
  22. OO, let me make it simple. Djibouti was there in the first place on behalf of Meles Zenawi and to cash on the war on terror. Also, like Musaveni, he sent the senior commanders and other who would have challenged in exile to Beledweyne. You right, Eritrea and Ethiopia involvement is an strategy for Farmaajo to escape the yolk of the overbearing do nothing UN who may want to stay in Somalia forever. Furthermore, the Ugandan dictator want to milk the cash and provide perks to military/offices through Somalia. The most difficult thing for Somalia to get back its sovereignty from New York where the security council has full time job talking about Somalia due to the overarching strategy of the treacherous British. Besides, who want 10,000 soldiers hiding in bunkers and getting paid thousands. Look at Eritrea, the UN couldn't even demarcate small border issues for 20 years. Despite the friendship with Abiy Ahmed , Eritrea has interest in strong Somalia to balance Ethiopia in the region. Furthermore, Eritrea could never have been free without Somalia. Afwerk is an old school man who knows honor. He even withdraw from the Arab league calling them useless tribal council. The Ugandans must go . Djibouti is staying just one town in Hiiraan, and the fat man in Djibouti is making money on the war on terror and must deal with snakes and ostriches he brought to Djibouti ie China and US in one place.
  23. Holac, Those of us who had seen little glimpse of Uganda and its capital do not take seriously about Muaveni-- the dinosaur. He is probably acting like a man who is running a well managed country, but the facts on the ground are totally different. Here is some of the examples i saw in Kampala: When I landed at the small airport a lady at the gate asked me if I had been vaccinated against the Yellow fever. I said no. Then she told me to proceed to small clinic with bold letters saying, " Ministry of health". Two officers and a nurse were there. THe only people who went there were me and three Chinese guys. The Chinese paid each $40 dollars and were vaccinated by the nurse. I had some apprehension about these vaccines and told them that I had travel vaccines from Canada early this year but they insisted on vaccinating me. They asked me the money first before they even vaccinated me and I gave them $50 dollars and asked for the change. Suddenly , the nurse said that they were out of vaccines. I said, thank God, yet they took the whole $50 dollars without change and filled up the vaccine card with my name without getting vaccinated. I took the card with sigh of relief and proceeded to the visa office. A lady wearing a captain uniform and man sitting at the office window asked me how long I was staying and told them four days. She said , " I will give you one month" and stamped the passport without recording any data to the computer. She took the fifty dollars in told me to proceed without any receipt or paper work. A friend of mine was also coming from Dubai just half an hour after me and we were supposed to meet at the airport. As a Southern Somali (From Puntland) he was more sophisticated than me on these issues. When the lady at the entrance told me to proceed to t5he vaccine office, he told her that he doesn't want to do that and gave her just $10 dollars and proceeded to the visa office without no vaccine issues. When I asked he said, " Waar kuwan waxoogaa baa la iskaga dhiibaa, ma talal iyo waxaas ayaan karaynaa". As we jumped to our car , I saw a soldier with AK47 holding his finger to the trigger and said to our friend who picked us about the danger of this moves. he said , " If you do not listen his orders he will shoot and the finger is already there, all he needs is five pounds of pressure. This are some my early glimpses of the Uganda of Musaveni. On the other hand, the land is rich, green and looked like paradise. Beautiful countryside farms with red roof villas inside these farms were breathtaking. I thought this was the richest country in the world in terms of landscape, yet no roads. It takes hour and half for 35km distance because of gridlock. I will tell you some other time about the old fart Musaveni.
  24. Saalax, they might be waking up in terms of media and making their case , but i wouldn't expect any problems from AWdal these days. The people had moved on .
