1. It is a fact that regardless of who is the president or which party runs Somaliland, we will always be in a political mess as long as there is no separation of power and clear lines drawn between the different branches of the political establishment; especially between the security forces, the judiciary, and the executive.
2. Waaryaa warlord Alpha, I see you have some plans to set up your own checkpoint somewhere between Berbera and Hargeisa to empty people's pockets if Somaliland returns back to the days of dayday.
3. @Alpha Blondy said: abti, we're just enjoying our jeudi soir at Al's Residential Estate, here in the nation's capital, and we're having an excellent discussion on the ''institutional qaloocs'' in SL. my friend is saying '' the person who's really mean to you.....is really fond of you'' . ma ruunba? A civilised discussion about political/institutional qaloocism in AL's compound is a sign of open-mindedness indeed. I don't know about the veracity of the statement I highlighted, but there is another universally held believe that those who are the biggest haters of qaloocism are almost always themselves closeted qaloocites.
4. Saffrezeey can you do this, I know Alpha can't even think about it:
5. ^ She clearly has no respect for the poor Somali men as she didn't bother to even name her former faarax. Maybe the Somali men deserve to be treated with such contempt as they usually forsake their marital responsibilities.
6. President Silaanyo is suffering from a fast deteriorating dementia and has basically lost control of the government. In such a terrible circumstances like this, it is the responsibility of the governing party and the national parliament to relieve the leader of his duties and make sure a smooth transition of power takes place. At the moment Xisi Gaab is the acting president in all but name. This is a gross violation of our constitution and is very damaging for our young democracy. It is in the constitution that when the president looses the capacity to lead the nation, the vice president who unlike dictator Xirsi Gaab is elected by the people and has a legitimate mandate should take control of the government. It is imperative that the parliament demand a full assessment of the president's health and if it is found that the president is not in a position to lead the nation, the presidential power should be transferred to vice president Saylici until the next election.
7. Alphoow inaar the qalooc is in everyone to some varying degrees. My qalooc is just slightly more pronounced then most. But thanks for the hospitality. Saffrezeey iga qabo ninkaa wareersan
8. Yes I like the mobile version but I use my laptop most of the time, especially when eating meals. They should not have mixed the forum with the front page. It is so unnecessary.
9. This upgrade of SOL was a disaster. It feels so different and is more troublesome.
10. http://www.hiiraan.com/news4/2013/Dec/52654/somalia_bans_christmas_celebrations.aspx It seems like Christmas is very high on the priority list for government in Mogadishu. I think the Somalia government should respect the religious/shopping festival of our Christian Somali brothers and sisters. Religious tolerance should start form the leadership.

Breaking Somalia into two is not the answer for a better future . You are comparing apples and oranges indeed;) The difference between South Sudan and Eritrea on one hand and Somaliland on the other is that unlike those two failed new states Somaliland is already a lot more democratic, peaceful, stable, and prosperous than many long established and recognised counties. The Africa democracy map proves my point.

17. This is a sad state of affair. I keep hearing a growing sense of frustrations and resentment against this government from across Somaliland. Although the KULMIYE government drastically reduced the corruption, mismanagement, and incompetence it inherited form the previous UDUB government, it created a lot of division in society and as a result tribalism is rearing its ugly hear again. This president is yet to deliver most of the promises he made to the electorate. He cannot transform Somaliland economically overnight or deliver us the international recognition we need but what is in his power and is not that difficult to deliver is institutional and constitutional reforms especially in the areas of law & order, justice, parliamentary duties, elections, policing, separation of power, delegating more responsibilities to the provinces and local communities, rules and regulations for national political parties, the continuity in government departments after each and every change of government, and registration of all the citizens of the country in a national database to make the provision of services easier. If he manages to deliver just some of these much needed reforms he would leave office with a good record and reputation and make our country's foundations a lot stronger.

The kaafirs of Quraish have labeled the dear prophet everything the brothers here have thrown at me . We haven't stoned you yet as the kaafirs of Quraish did to our dear prophet(scw) I like that toy, it is very cute:)

Dadka in la isku qasbo ma' ahan. There are more d&m in jubba and Gedo than shabeelaha. how about Cumar c/rashiid Sharmaarke who is from puntland is one of the leading founders of Jubba. Maxaa ii diidaya aniga shabeelaha hoose since my cousins live there. The HAGs don't respect the smaller clans. I think the water-maals should join forces with the D & M and Baydhabo folks to form a federal state and keep the HAG at bay.
20. It depends on the location. In the wider world outside of the Horn of Africa my qabiil is Somali. In the Somali peninsula outside of Somaliland I am duriyad. In Somaliland I am a sub-clan and can't stand the other habar. And finally in my village that other family is the enemy:o
21. Allyourbase;992080 wrote: I rest my case This is very funny actually. You all claim that your God placed these 'hints' to scientific concepts in your holy scripture for the purpose of, what exactly? What have you done with them except waiting for Kafir Gaalo research to latch onto and to somehow give the Quran a 21st century makeover. If there is science of any level in the Quran for you to take hold of and thrive in this Duniya would you not agree it was a miscalculation on the part of the author? How come not a single one of these alleged 'discoveries' was made by a Muslim? I have said it before and I will say it again- the Quran is not a science textbook but a spiritual guide for mankind. And just to remind you, I started this thread discuss about the Muslim world lack of progress in the sciences but Allah Almighty is not just "our" God; He is the Lord of the kaffirs too. Allyourbase;992080 wrote: Anyways back to Solomon: And Solomon inherited David. He said, "O people, we have been taught the language of birds , and we have been given from all things. Indeed, this is evident bounty." Quran 27:16 So imagine with me a grown man telling you today that he could conversate with birds, what would you say? Apparently one of the birds, a Hoopoe, was a double agent for king Solomon, it said to him: I found (there) a woman ruling over them and provided with every requisite; and she has a magnificent throne. Qur'an 27:23 Subxannallah Allah is the One who taught mankind to speak in languages so He also taught the birds and the ants to speak to each other and with his power gave Solomon the ability to converse with the animal world. Subxaanallah indeed ---- Allyourbase;992080 wrote: The Quran believes the moon has its own light, when in fact it is only reflecting the Sun's light: And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp? Qur'an 71:16 This verse makes the difference between the sun and the moon clear. The sun is referred to as a lamp and we all know lamps use fuel to generate light. Just like lamps which use oil to produce heat and light the sun uses hydrogen in nuclear reaction to generate heat and light. The moon on the other hand is referred to just as a light meaning its light is nothing but a reflection of the sun's light. ---- Allyourbase;992080 wrote: We know today about the big bang and the formation of the earth, but the Quran disagrees. It claims that the earth was created in six days : We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days , nor did any sense of weariness touch Us Qur'an 50:38 The Quran made it clear that time is relative and that the days mentioned in the above verse is not our short earthly days. The Angels and the Spirit ascend to Him in a day whose length is fifty thousand years. (Surat al-Ma‘arij, 4) He directs the whole affair from Heaven to Earth. Then it will again ascend to Him on a Day whose length is a thousand years by the way you measure. (Surat as-Sajda, 5) ---- Allyourbase;992080 wrote: What if I told you that the Quran claims the earth was created before the universe as you've put it there? It states that the earth was created before the 'seven heavens' with all of their galaxies and stars, which again we know today to be wrong, as elements making up the crust of the Earth today were first found in stars that have then exploded. He it is Who created for you all that is in the earth. Then turned He to the heaven , and fashioned it as seven heavens. And He is knower of all things. Qur'an 2:29 The verse you mentioned makes it clear that the heaven and earth were already created before Allah made further changes to the already existing heaven. You can even cite articles from the Sun if it will help Do you see how ridiculous this all is Talaabo? Honestly, ila eeg these statements and tell me it is acceptable as we approach 2014. No my religion is not supported by the Dailymail. Indeed they ridicule us daily in their papers. However, the truth of Islam cannot be hidden or mocked for too long. People like you were mocking the Quran for centuries for stating that the ants talk and now we have a scientific confirmation of the truth in that statement. So the Dailymail has no choice but to report the Quranic truth to the world. In the Quran, prophet Noah is said to have lived 950 years. So what? There are animals and plants which have lifespans of centuries. We believe Almighty Allah is the Creator and Giver of life so your question about a mere 950 years makes no sense to us. How can I doubt Allah's power when humans are attempting to extend our lifespan to a thousand years?? http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2009/03/can-humans-live.html

Yeah I noticed that. What do you expect from XX?
