It looks like the market was set alight intentionally in order to clear it out for this kind of development. I mean who wants endless negotiations with the land owners of Waaheen and their thousands of tenants.

Reer Waqooyi still blaming Reer Koonfur Galbeed?
Tallaabo replied to Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar's topic in Politics
The expulsion of innocent civilians from their homes was just an evil excuse to cover up the government's failure to secure Laascaanood. The killings are politically motivated and requires professional and wide ranging investigations. Laascaanood needs to be filled with soldiers, intelligence agents, smart CCTVs with night vision capabilities. Also all the suspect homes should be searched without notice, their telephone conversation listened to by spies, and interrogated by competent (and intimidating) professionals. -
The miserable days of the three dinosaur fossils pretending to be more useful than Hargeisa's trash is fast coming to an end. Laydh caafimaad ayaa Hargaysa ku soo dhacday.

Clan Conference for East Sanaag folks opens in Erigavo
Tallaabo replied to baala xoofto's topic in Politics
So you think that "setting up a federal state" anywhere you fancy is like setting up a teashop? The Maakhiri clan don't need to start a futile project from scratch which will only waste their time and resources. Instead they can get a lot more from Somaliland just by forming alliances with the other clans in Sanaag and demanding their share. -
Irish Nationalists Win Historic Vote in Northern Ireland
Tallaabo replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
Che you have underestimated the power and influence England would still have as an independent country if the United Kingdom breaks up. If you take a look at England's share of the population and GDP of the UK, not much will really change for England in a break up scenario. However, the same cannot be said for Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The economies of these smaller nations depends entirely on that of England. -
Waar gooni Ramadan Kariim. Arrintan aad sheegtay runta kama foga laakiin sida suuqa deg deg loogu baneeyo waxa ka fududaan lahayd in shacabka lugu dhaho Farmaajo ayaa madaarka Hargaysa kasoo degaya. Waar Xaaji, I thought Somaliland's sovereignty was based on the will of the people of Somaliland. If that is still the case then there is no need for hostility towards our brethren in koonfuria. Yes their politics is despicable and you can call them out for that anytime but remember that the only thing distinguishing the people you called doofaar from those in Hargeisa are the artificial borders we chose to mark and guard. In other words, if the Koonfurians are doofaar then the Hargeisans aren't daahir either. There are neither angels nor devils on either side of the border but just Somalis with different politics and political aspirations. President Muuse can talk to president Farmaajo on the phone any day or meet him in person somewhere and such connections will not harm Somaliland's political agenda if it is based on the will of the people.

Che thiz tragedy was very predictable. Hargeisa is a city of drug addicts where officially the only vehicles allowed to move at excessive speeds with no regard for public safety are the narcotics delivery vehicles. Even ambulances carrying dying people get stuck in the chaotic streets and no one cares.

Waaryaa Che have you nominated yourself to become SOL's war correspondent? The Western leaders are yelling about this invasion of Ukraine as if their own near past is clean of any sin. They should be gently reminded that it was not long ago when they invaded and destroyed Iraq- a sovereign nation and a UN member state. Russia protested that unprovoked Western aggressions at the UN Security Council but no one heeded their outcry.

Amisom soldiers sentenced to dil toogasho
Tallaabo replied to Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar's topic in Politics
Is it the Ugandan military or the administration in Xamar who is carrying out the sentence? Normally foreign soldiers are persecuted by their own military tribunals in their own countries. -

Somali-Afar intensifies, Somalis labelled Eastern Junta
Tallaabo replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
I don't think those towns and territories can be defended by wishful thinking. Either the Somali kilil government has to put boots on the ground like the other qoomiyado are doing to defend its citizens and land or find a peaceful solution to the conflict to save lives. -
Another C/raxmaan C/shakuur's MOU fiasco
Tallaabo replied to Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar's topic in Politics
If he has never heard of "blue economy" then he has no business being a PM. Moreover, he or any other minister should never sign any international document without consulting their lawyers and expert advisers. -
Very unfair for Ramla but two Somali guys won the marathon silver and bronze. Unfortunately neither represented any of our territories. Congratulations to them.

1967 only? How about we go back six years earlier to 1961 and to the failed coup by the young Sandhurst trained soldiers from Somaliland who were disillusioned by the fake "Soomaalinimo" of the corrupt to the core Koonfurians? What about the protestations by the Somalilanders about the unfair marginalisation of their region and even the poem by Suldaan Timocadde were he blasted the apparent discrimination of the northerners by their Koonfurian dominated government? By the way that poem was composed way before 1967. Do you think the Jesus clan of Djibouti we unaware of what was going on in the infant Somali Republic and the fate of the naive Northerners who were utterly uneducated about the ugly characteristics of the Koonfurian clan politics? I guess you need to come up with a better reason as to why the citizens of Djibouti were wrong to go their separate way and not give up their sovereignty in the name of an unprofitable and downright dangerous "unity" with a region which turned out to be ungovernable and unstable from the beginning.
-
Anyone with a brain cell in their head would by 1988 understood why the Jesus clan of Djibouti made the wise decision not to give up their sovereignty and join a corrupt hostile entity in the name of a non-existent "Soomaalinimo" whatever that means. In my opinion if Somaliland didn't join koonfuria, a union between Somaliland and Djibouti could have survived or even succeeded.

Reer Koonfur Galbeed are celebrating for this
Tallaabo replied to Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar's topic in Politics
I didn't live in the South but have listened to a conversation by a maay speaking lady in the Talo iyo Tacab series of the BBC Somali service. Her dialect sounded different but when I paid close attention could understand a bit. Maybe af maay could be considered as the Somali equivalent of the Jamaican English. By the way, are speakers of Spanish and Portuguese understand each other? Af maay could be like that. -
Reer Koonfur Galbeed are celebrating for this
Tallaabo replied to Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar's topic in Politics
I don't think Maay is the "original" Somali whatever that means but for sure I can understand quite a bit of Maay if I follow it closely in conversations and my lahjad couldn't be farther away from Koonfur Galbeed. I just consider it a mutilated Somali (by the way reer Mogadishu killed it). Coming to the word Waaq, it was the name we used for Almighty Allah and not a "god" as you alleged. I have no evidence that we were ever a polytheists in religion. Still to this day the Rendille people of Kenya who probably are a lost Somali clan worship Waaq and they are monotheistic in their beliefs.
