1. God how I hate this communist style welcome ceremony. What is the benefit of this mashruuc? Even the president of the United States and the queen of England do not get such a "welcome party" and I doubt they would approve of it. The mafia who were running the show behaved like those Chinese police officers who push away journalists and cover the cameras with their hands when a sensitive news is being reported from China.
2. Mooge, the Central State is a done deal ninyow. Some warlords can protest as much as they want but this process will continue. Puntland's clan federalism is coming back to bite her in a$$ ninyow. :-D All these years I though Hassan Shiekh was not smart enough to fight off his adversaries and get his agenda through. As it turned out I was totally wrong to underestimate him. The guy turned out to be a master politician lol. In one stroke he undermined the entire federalism project and now Puntland is running around like a headless chicken.
3. @Tillamook said: ^ Tallaabo, as usual, you make way more sense defending gay rights on a Somali website than giving your $0.02 on political matters on this same Somali website. This does not mean, however, that I mean to discredit your opinion on this particular matter regarding whether 2 districts in south Mudug should be allowed to cause 3 districts in North Mudug to split from Puntland which is already a functioning and recognized Federal member state. And to prove to you of my earnestness in not wanting to discredit your point view regarding this issue, I too agree that there is nothing wrong with north Mudug breaking away from Puntland and joining this new state, just as it is valid for south Mudug to forget about this new state and join Puntland. Both arguments are valid, but reason and logic stipulate that the will of the majority will prevail. The majority in this case will lead to the choice of the 3 districts tramping the will of the 2 districts. That is ofcourse if fairness and equity are paramount. Also, besides the majority of the people of Mudug being part of Puntland, there is NOT real tangible unity between the brotherly Hag communities of Galmudug and Ximin&Xeeb to really even pull through such a daunting task of stealing away north Mudug from Puntland. So Mr. Tallaabo, please explain to us once again how you suppose this abortion of a scheme to ever see the light of day with such odds marshalled against it? Mr Tillamook, I do not expect Puntland to give up a large part of its population and territory to prop up a rival community, and indeed no body expected that from Puntland. However, what was also unexpected and incredibly clever is how the anti-federalists came up with this monster of a blow to put an end to the clan federalism agenda of Puntland :-D

6. Mr Khadafi, here are some corrections to your above mentioned statements: 1. The kacaan government of Siyaad Barre did not build any of the infrastructure in Somaliland. All the airports, ports, hospitals, roads, etc which pre-date the second coming of the Republic of Somaliland were build by the British, Soviet Union, China, the USA, and other countries with vested interests in the region. 2. Although many school age children do not yet have the right to free education in Somaliland, all the public primary schools are free. 3. A growing retail sector in a society indicates a growing economy which is good news for the poor.

9. @DoctorKenney said: This is different Galbeedi. Puntland existed since 1998, so why should they be forced to give up a piece of their territory to fit some technical Constitutional requirement? The case with the people of Bay&Bakool isn't the same, because the SouthWest State has JUST been formed in 2014, so the new Constitutional requirements apply in that case. But since Puntland has been around for 16 years, there should be some form of exemption, where the 3 districts of Mudug can go to Puntland, while the rest of Mudug can be used to form the Central State. But what would be ideal....is for Galmudug to just make an agreement with Puntland and unite to form a larger Puntland State. That would be far less messy, and if it satisfies the people of Galmudug, then that's totally fine. There will be no exemption to the rule of federalism in Somalia. Whether Puntland existed since 1998 or since 1945 does not make any difference here. The constitution which says "two states and more should form federal states" was put together and signed by Puntland, so surely they they can't be the ones to break the rule. The constitution did not say states and cities should be broken into pieces in order to satisfy Puntland's clan federalism. As Mudug and Gaalkacayo cannot be in two separate federal states, they should either be in Puntland or in a new federal state. I support the creation of a federal state consisting of Mudug and Galgaduud :-D
10. Ok if your idea of being "not perfect" is the utter inability and incompetence of the so-called government to dig even a basic well for our hard pressed rural communities, then I dread to think of what they would be like if they are "bad" in your estimation.
11. ^ Don't they look like two different species? :-D Homocaucasianoid and homonegroid
12. Mr Ciidan you are totally deluded if you actually believe that the ragtag terrorist militia operating in Iraq and Syria have established any meaningful administration let alone a khalifah.
13. ^ Proper governments plan and work for the development of their societies but unfortunately in Somaliland we do not have a proper government. What we have got is a group of self-serving clueless ex clan warlords.
14. Is this only about heterosexual sex? This study should be expanded to be more representative and inclusive.
15. We Africans have barely got out of our caves so it is not fair to compare us with those who have made the move earlier :-D

20. ^ The highlight of my Eid was the salaat. The rest of the day was taken by replying to and forwarding those outrageously viral but beautifully crafted Whatsapp "Eid Mubaarak" greetings :-D
21. No one has moved away. Just like you they are hiding in the shadows :-D Eid mubaarak to you and everyone here
22. What a mooryaan!!! The God fearing Dhulos should stand up to this warlord and demand an end to his hate and fitnah. The tribes of Somaliland, especially his tribe and the eastern Duriyad are one and the same people- married to one another, son and his mother, uncle and his nephew, grandparents and their grandchildren, brothers and sisters from the same mother, neighbours and friends, etc.
23. Like the people of Puntland, the citizens of Somaliland would not allow any foreign boots on their soil so really there is nothing to worry about. The problem I have with Somaliland though is this one way extradition treaty we have with every country. No citizen should ever be extradited to any country without first being proven guity of a crime in a Somaliland court.
24. @xabad said: Hahaha, that is baloney, Christians had no knowledge of this arabian moon god Allah. such arrogance & revisionism is unparalleled. tell us Hinduism was monotheistic at one point too. Only a person with a bonobo IQ would tell such tall tales. Even today Christian Arabs call God Allah while the Bhagvad Geeta and the Upanishad which are among the most sacred books of Hinduism teach the Oneness of God. So yes the original Hinduism was monotheistic just like the early Christianity.
