1. @somalee said: And what were the contributions of this particular community with regards to the fighting of the injustices of Siad Barre? Do you know what side of the fight they were on? And what their suldaans used to say those days? It does not matter what side they were on during our fight against Siyaad Barre or what their sultans used to say about us 23 years ago. What matters now is that every community in Somaliland is treated fairly and the national resources shared equally among them. If what Galbeedi said about the situation in Awdal is true then I will be the fist man to support their fight against mistreatment by others. And if they can't get justice peacefully they should break away from Somaliland and bring it down, I would hate to see a re-incarnation of the oppressive, corrupt, and divisive kacaan 23 years later in another form and with a different name.
2. @DoctorKenney said: Only a complete and utter narcissist like Alpha would have a forum page dedicated solely to him, where he chats nonsense for 834 pages. And this thread has been going on for TWO YEARS. Alpha uses this forum and this particular thread to feed his ego, that's all. I can see right through this character. Saaxiib you are right. Alpha's monumental ego is unnatural and unsustainable :-D He is the only guy in SOL's nearly 23 million strong population to set up a temple in the form of this cantarbaqash thread for the self-glorification of his very questionable online character.
3. I don't think that name is at all difficult to pronounce. The guy has reading problems because saying that that Thai name is as straight forward as any Indian or other Asian name. He would indeed struggle if he was asked to say this name: http://www.presstv.com/detail/2014/11/26/387574/zimbabwe-what-next-after-mugabe/ Watch it from 02:00 minutes :-D
4. @somalee said: Thank you Mr Erdogan, your intentions are pure and good. Now lets hope Qoslaaye doesn't use these nephews of his to bomb an 'enemy' clan. Lool :-D I think before any bombing raids are carried out, he has to deal with the minor problem of finding fighter jets given their high prices and the on going UN sanctions .
5. Alpha these are the sort of exclusive stories and tabloid editorial which made you a celebrity journalist in SOL's Fleet street :-D
6. Lool the title :-D Mr Axmad why don't you tell these maamullo to let Addis and Kampala do the talks on their behalf?
7. @Alpha Blondy said: Oi, do you mean to tell me you can read the quran. Don't insult my intelligence, abti. the only things you read are glossy magazines. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL How dare you insult me!!
8. Mogadishu will prosper if the HAGs there continue playing their cards well and tell the world that they rule "Somalia" whilst they spend every dollar given to them in their city and their region. Why should they really care about Puntland and other places if that means sharing the aid given to them in the name of "Somalia" and the other benefits of having the capital city?
9. It is a clear tyranny hostile to anything Islamic but the answer this awful problem is surely not terrorism or a regression back to stone age.
10. @CidanSultan said: I don't know any of the people that were killed. And it's wrong if they were innocent. I don't think you or I are in a position to argue this former soldier turned aid worker was innocent or not. I don't know him and you don't know him. Volume 9, Book 88, Number 185:Narrated Abu Musa:The Prophet said, "Near the establishment of the Hour there will be days during which (religious) knowledge will be taken away (vanish) and general ignorance will spread, and there will be Al-Harj in abundance, and Al-Harj means killing."
11. @somalee said: Succeed or secede? The man can't even correctly pronounce what he's trying to say. Besides that, why is an opinion of a Borama man even important to begin with? The opinion of the people of Boorama is of course vital in any national debate but the opinion of some qurbojoog like the African American in this video counts for nothing indeed.
12. @Odey said: Motion defeated for the third and final time. Damuljadid threw everything they had at this. Lets not make this into a qabil argument, its not!. This is an ideological argument. Both sides have supporters across the tribal divide. You are fooling yourself if you think this is an "ideological argument" and not a tug of war between the D block and the Hag.
13. @Alpha Blondy said: have you heard about the Kenyan bus siege. apparently they dividedd the passenagers into Muslim and gaal. what was particularly impressive was the method they employed to differeniate between muslim and gaal.......they had to read the quran. thats ingenious. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL i'd probably fail.so too would Dr Kenny. Kenny, You douchbag Whats your beef with Alpha? Oh it is sad you can't read the Holy Quran. If some Christian crusaders were to do the same and I was in the bus, I can probably get away unharmed by reading from the Bible with an added hallelujah :-D
14. This kid is such an embarrassment to his community. He knows nothing about Awdal or Somali politics and in his unfortunate nativity was used by the khaatumo warlords as a baseless propaganda tool. I suggest he learns Somali first before he ridicules himself again in a public arena.
15. ^ In the last two decades western justice system has been eroded by the mass media and public hysteria. The hugely important principle of "innocent until proven guilty" seems to be rendered irrelevant when high profile figures are accused so publicly, humiliated, their careers destroyed, their reputation tarnished, and relationships put in jeopardy well before they get the chance to clear their names through the courts. The charge of "Rape" is also being so over used by the authorities to convict mostly innocent people for actions like having sex with a drunk woman.
16. Guys you can't reason with Ciidansultan, you are just wasting your time. He is the perfect example of what western politicians call "brainwashed".
17. @Mooge said: this is fake dream wet dream of somalilanders. we see this all the time niyoow. they make up a picture to get people's attention. the two pictures are not even close niyoow. Do you realise this is a private business and has nothing to do with "Somalilanders" or politics?
18. I don't think the finished building will look like the one in the photo. What is constructed so far looks quite small in comparison.
19. @SomaliaPatriot said: Iam not praying. It is already happening. Maamulka Soomalidiidka is broken alongside subclan lines. In burco that is visible for any person with eyes. In Sool Sanaag and Cayn there is popular resistance against the clan enclave maamulka amxaarkalkaalland. The state built on clannism is dying. Soon we going to hear about jabhad in Awdal Region rising up against the Middle Clan. Keep daydreaming about it :-D
20. ^ So you are praying day and night for a tribal conflict in Somaliland? Well you will be disappointed to know that like any other country we too have violent protests now and then but inshaallah Somaliland will still be here.
21. In its infancy, the SNM never had any meaningful support from the Duriyada population and were in fact initially seen by many people as trouble makers. However, everything changed when Siyaad Barre ignorantly thought or was badly advised that he could defeat the SNM and stay in power if he suppressed the civilian population in Somaliland. When he began a policy of collective punishment, nepotism, and clan profiling, public opinion turned permanantly against him and the ranks of the SNM swelled. He was deceived to believe that he could rely only on his D-block clan to keep him in power until it was too late.
22. Regardless of how Britain ended up ruling Somaliland, at least one thing is clear to me. Life under Britain was alot better for most people in Somaliland than during the failed union.
23. @Jacaylbaro said: Somaliland was a protectorate not a colony ,,, you must be mixing it with Somalia sxb. That is right. Although there were many men who did not like the presence of Great Britain in Somaliland and joined rebel movements like the Dervishes, the British were in fact invited in by the traditional leaders of Somaliland as a way of protecting our vital trade with the then British colony of Yemen and also deter the other European imperial powers and the much stronger Ethiopian forces from attempting an invasion of Somaliland. It seemed a win win agreement for both parties.
24. A French delegation was in Somaliland a week or so ago discussing among other things Ballore Africa's planned investment in Barbara, so I think this Ethiopian delegation mean business.
