Maanta oo ay taariikhdu tahay 18/12/2017 waxaan si rasmi ah ugala noqday taageeradayda gooni isu taaga Somaliland sababtoo ah meeshu maaha meel dadku xorriyad haystaan. For the English language speakers: Today I have officially withdrawn my support for Somaliland independence. Although I was suspicious for a long time, it has now become very clear to me that Somaliland is completely in the grip of the Ethiopian regime. The elections and other political talk shows are just a smokescreen for the real direct rule from Addis Ababa. The last evidence I needed was the rapid and serious consequences for Cabdiraxmaan Dabcasar when he naively spoke in Hargeisa about liberating the Somali region of Ethiopia. When this unfortunate situation forced me to choose between a Tigray rule from Addis Ababa and a Somali rule from Mogadishu, I decided to keep the devil I know. Good luck to the remaining secessionists.

I support this woman

Hargeisa is far from being what you described to be. Both Jabuuti and Mogadishu are a lot more organized and better run than Hargeisa. It is easy to see some beauty from above but living in it is completely different.

Maashaallah what a great news!! May Almighty Allah bless our sister and her husband with righteous children and many happy years of companionship and love. Congratulations @Safferz .

Mama Malyuun aka MMS should be invited to Hargeisa. Regardless of what maryoolay thinks and say about her, the woman has a serious message to preach and can actually stand her ground. If Dabcasar with all his outrageous YouTube videos can walk the streets of Hargeisa like a royalty with friends by his side, then I shall consider the women of Hargeisa cowards if they don't invite MMS and other feminists and roll out the red carpet for them.

The MP was right to ask his fellow MPs to wake up and smell the coffee. As the MP pointed out, it was more appropriate for the Mogadishu administration to set aside a budget for the talks between Somalia and Somaliland instead of pretending Somaliland needs handouts from them. If the Koonfurian politicians are actually serious about keeping Somaliland in a union, they should have made an entire ministry with a serious budget for such a cause. For comparison sake, think about Britain's Brexit secretary, special government department, and multi-billion pound budget.

The new president should do whatever he can to bring about equality and justice for all but taalo for Sayidka??? The problem with Saydika was not his campaign against the British and other foreigners but his murderous campaign against the Somali civilians. He was responsible for the murder of a lot of my grandfather's brothers in Sanaag. His movement was the Alshabaab of his time. His abusive and divisive poetry was also a major problem.

What we need most is speed limits for the vehicles carry this shit. The khat-carrying vehicles are literally the fastest moving things in any city. Nobody gets out of the way for the police vehicles, ambulances, or the firefighters despite their sirens, but everyone would flee the road for the khat pickup trucks. Even the mad folks (and there are many in any Somali town) would immediately get the hell out of the way when the speeding khat truck is spotted. As the casualties of these drug-dealers are mounting, the government should either take the sirens off every other emergency services vehicle and surrender them to the khat dealers or severely limit their speed. The drug dealers who have no shortage of cash should not just pay "mag" only to kill again.

Ah, a suspect for a long time but now I know the clan tag. By the way, in the absence of industry, Somalis are creating hyperinflation in the property market. But when we finally develop productive industries, the land prices will crash as other venues for investment would be open for the savers.

Here is what the president-elect plans to do according to this article he has written for the Financial Times: https://www.ft.com/content/974d7a62-d453-11e7-8c9a-d9c0a5c8d5c9

You don't need to understand anything. Sanaag is Somaliland and Somaliland is Sanaag, it is how we want it to be and no amount of garbage you post online will change that fact kid. The gentlemen in the video are just doing what every community in Somaliland does so well when it wants some attention and goods. In the near future president-elect, Muuse Biixi will either go to Sanaag to sit down with his people or invite our respected elders to Hargeisa and the miserable folks like you will then have to look for some other hobbies.

^ She looks quite young!! It seems mudane Faroole is trying to inject some youthful vitality into his life by treading a well-trodden trail .i,e by marrying the proverbial "shan iyo toban jir". I need to contact Mama Malyuun aka MMS and ask her to condemn this time honoured tradition of the "old Somali man".

Wasn't avoiding this sort of meeting the whole reason for selling Qalbi Dhagax to Ethiopia? I am not against Cabdi Wali meeting whoever he wishes, but I think president Farmaajo needs to answer few questions about the Qalbi Dhagax affair.

Talow odaygeenii Oodwayne ma bankcruptcy ayaa ku dhacday oo waxoogaa lacag ah oo Cirro yidhi waan kuu soo celinayaa ayaa ka gubatay.

Galbeedi although I was half-heartedly supporting Wadani, I was very apprehensive about the sheer number of what you aptly called "macaan jecel" who opportunistically jumped on to the party bandwagon when they caught a whiff of success coming from our direction. Probably, a Wadani administration would have become a harmonious one but one with a 100 plus well-paid ministers, no direction, and no decisive leadership.

There is a lot of potential for good leadership here if the clan politics is ditched and justice prevails.
-
Although his victory is seriously tainted, I congratulate our new president Muuse Biixi Cabdi. May Almighty Allah make him a just leader and help him make Somaliland more peaceful and prosperous.

I think by now I could count several million papers on my own!!
-
Regrettably, I don't think the papers had corresponding voter ID numbers. We don't have such a system here in the West too, do we? But then no one grabs and runs away with a ballot box here in the civilized world.
