Even before this give away of our land and sea to Ethiopia, we were facing a serious demographic problem from the uncontrolled influx of Oromos into our country. Today, I am certain that Oromos make up at least a quarter of Hargeisa's population and probably a similar proportion in Berbera.

My take on this? Shock and despair that Somaliland is reduced to a one crazy man show. That no one seems to use their God-given faculties of thought or seem to be capable of stopping an out of control rogue individual. That today, we have reached a stage where even the land and sea are for sale for a cheap price.

I don't think Muuse Biixi cares about public opinion. The guy understands only brute force.

Xaajoyoow this is the worst ever comment you have made. Could it be our out of control dictator is having the same thoughts? Today they might be a minority but very quickly you will be the new minority.

The stip of land probably bigger than Gaza which warlord Muuse is giving away to Ethiopia will quickly be flooded with millions of Oromos and Afar, creating a de facto Ethiopian province in our own country. This new foreign region will cut off the Somalis in Djibouti from those of Somaliland and Somalia, completely isolating them. This isolation will weaken them and enable Ethiopia to help the Afar take over Djibouti. After getting access to the sea, Ethiopia will then be even more aggressive in pushing the Somalis in Ethiopia off their land and threaten every other region from the sea. This disaster waiting to happen must be stopped before it is too late.

This is a clear and open treason by warlord Muuse Biixi. He has no right, no legitimacy or authority to basically sign a blank sheet of paper for Ethiopia to fill in any details they want. This mad man's term in office expired a long time ago, so anything he signs with anyone must be rejected outright by all the people of Somaliland. It is now very clear Somaliland hasn't got the maturity or the capacity to govern itself in the interest of its people, so the people must demand a change in direction away from independence and to reintegration with Somalia. Any more moves by this out of control corrupt regime will endanger not only Somaliland but the future of all the Somalis in the region. May Almighty Allah help us.

Israel wants to push all the Palestinians into Egypt and Jordan, they are not even hiding their intentions. I think the Palestinian people should be saved from the genocide by resettling them in other countries. What is the point of watching them being slaughtered while doing nothing to stop it?

That is true, I knew an MJ man how lived in Baydhabo all or most of his life and wouldn't identify with anyone else.

It is possible because of the lack of one thing and one thing alone: accountability. It seems this most basic of concepts if I can call it that, is entirely alien to those who live in Somaliland. In Britain, Tony Blair who was responsible for the UK's invasion of Iraq on dubious grounds is to this day vilified, hated, and above all tormented with questions about that war.

A centralised system is not bad if there are checks and balances in place to keep it functioning. What is important is having strong institutions based on the rule of law and accountability.

Mr Arafaat, you are asking adhi ido dhalay ah oo galabtii xeradooda lagusoo celiyay to keep their mouths shut.

How do Kahin, Nuh Tani and Abdiqani still have jobs?
Tallaabo replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
In any other society, these corrupt clueless men plus their illegitimate president would be charged with treason and hanged but unfortunately in Somaliland we reward treason, failure, and foolishness. -
Allow u naxariiso, he was one of the originals.

It is sad to see you go but I do agree that a primitive form of qabyaalad practised especially by the HA and HJ have effectively put an end to Somaliland. Those who supported the corrupt politicians to create mischief in the society should congratulate themselves. Anyway, good luck with your move to the US, its always better to live in a civilised society.

No one wants a war in the region. This craziness will hopefully go away when the crazy man in Hargeisa goes away.

Any idea how this issue could be addressed?

Mr Khadafi my views about the points you mentioned were always made public here in this forum. I supported the garaad community or atleast their elite when they were with Somaliland and would occasionally cheer them when they chased away the trouble making Puntlanders from one dusty village to another. That was when they were willing partners in the state building project. However, now it just doesn't make any sense to force them against their will. My values and views are not random or driven by mere emotions. Rather they are carefully crafted with one simple aim in mind: that on the Day of Recompense, I shall be absolutely free from any guilt when it comes to the blood, property, and honour of the believers. When I would not enjoy standing in a high court in this world for trial after being accused of a serious crime like murder, why would I risk standing in the court of Allah carrying a heavy burden on my shoulders? Allah already made it clear to us that whoever participates in an evil deed shall share its evil outcome and whoever participates in a good deed shall reap its rewards. Fighting unjust wars, or supporting it financially, or encouraging the waging of such a war online or offline is quite simply booking a ticket to hell. Another way you could be shedding Muslim blood is by supporting politicians who are known wrongdoers or known for not fearing Allah. Voting for them or financing their campaign is aiding them in their transgressions.
