Oo sootaydu ku sheegtaan Farmaajo inuu yahay madaxwaynaha "umadda Soomaaliyeed". Safiirka Jabuuti Mogadisho u fadhiya umaddaa Soomaaliyeed ayay ka mid yahay ee u adkaysta marka uu protocolka daaqada ka tuuro oo uu arimihiina soo fara galiyo ama uu madaxwaynaha "Umadda Soomaaliyeed" dhegaha ka tumo.

Caaqil Oodwayne your book is timely as even our president is attempting to rewrite history to appease a part of our community. During the kacaan era a certain spoiler of Somaliland's peace was portrayed as a "freedom fighter" when in fact he was fighting for anything but freedom and as reported by popular history the cause of his mischief was the influence of whatever liquid he used to take in his "wayso". Laakiin Alle ha u naxariisto wuxuu ahaa nin Muslim ah.

Welcome back caaqil. How was your extended Ramadan break from politicking?

Did anyone claim responsibility for this attack? And why Buuhoodle?
-
Why do you hate a masiixi when he and you (out of control sufi) share the same culture of grave worship?
-
Now we need to see real and painful consequences for anyone guilty of breaking the peace agreement. Inshaallah it will last.

Haddii garoonkii diyaaradaha Gaalkacayo lagu heshiin waayay ma dekeda Hobyo ayaa lagu heshiinayaa? Haddii meesha wax is afgaradi jirin waa inay qolo waliba tuuladeeda gaar u dhisato. Anyway, I see a great potential for the two ports. Puntland should just build a wooden platform in Garacad and tie a wrecked boat there then let the UAE know that the damn Qataris want to take over their world class port. The Emiratis will ask for a thirty year lease in exchange for investment. In the same way the HAGs should build a tiny wooden platform in Hobyo and crowd the place with pirated fishing boats then tell the SFG to alert the Qataris that the Jeegaan of the Gulf i.e the Saudis and Emiratis are encroaching into their sphere of influence. A healthy deal will follow such a baaq for gurmad.

For walawayn the bloodshed started only when it reached their homes. Kulahaa sodon sanno KUDHAWAAD!! Of course he is starting the count from 1991 and yet he has the audacity to tell people whose dark history he is completely ignoring: "midnimadu waa muqadas". Taloow midnimadee ayaa muqadas ah, ma tan cusub ee Mr Cheese iyo tyrant Isaias Afwerki??

And who is that masochist?

That is harsh. Leave the gentle intellectual alone. He is more civil than most Somali politicians including the one he is with in the photos.

It looks like he visited a foreign country. All the attention hungry Somali politicians are treated like that by the ignorant masses. This is what it looks like when real leaders visit places in their country. https://goo.gl/images/fo4hct

I wish I knew a way out this headache but given man's disposition to migrate to where the grass is greener, koonfuria should not look like a bigger Somaliland with all its problems of tribalism, nepotism, corruption, etc. Instead the clans in koonfuria should reconcile in earnest and fight corruption and nepotism. Also the federal system we have got now should be reformed as it is ineffective and the federal powers transferred to the member states. The current clan fiefdoms should be demolished and the previous eighteen states reinstalled. Power should then be transferred from the centre to the states in the following way: 1. The eighteen leaders of the member states should be directly elected by the public of their respective states and should form an Executive Committee for the nation. Any Somali of any clan should be able to vote in any state election or run for any office in any member state given proof of residence. 2. The office of the president should be abolished and the prime minister chosen by the leaders of the member states (the Executive Committee) by a unanimous vote. The nation's Head of State should be a permanent Sultan from the Gabooye community. He should be chosen by his clan. The Head of State should be responsible for representing the country abroad, mediating between the politicians, dismissing corrupt governments, and being a father figure to the nation. 3. All the cabinet ministers should also be chosen by the Executive Committee again by a unanimous vote. 4. Members of the Supreme Court should be elected by the country's religious scholars and other reputable members of the society and the Supreme Court should be completely independent of the Executive Committee. 5. Each member state should have an elected Parliament proportional to the population of the state and from these state parliaments committees again proportional to the size of the state selected to join the Federal Parliament. 6. The Upper House or Guurti should be the clan leaders and should be directly elected by their clansmen. Again the number of clan elders should match the population of the clan they represent. The role of the Guurti should be advisory. This is my idea but let me know if you think it is unworkable or unsuitable. -

Soomaalidu waxay ku maahmaahdaa gaalka dil gartiisana sii. So let us compare what your sober people and region have gone through in the last 27 years whilst Somaliland was in its mirqaan state. 1. You were overrun by out of control warlords and their militias. 2. You were completely taken over by a terrorist organisation who used your teenage boys as foot soldiers and your teenage girls as jihadi brides. 3. You lost hundreds of thousands of your people due to two man made famines because there was no one to defend the victims. 4. As we speak you are under effective foreign occupation and your people are at the mercy of foreign troops. 5. Your region is hardly developed in the last 27 years of Somaliland chewing for mirqaan. Now if you take a look at the crackhead people of Somaliland you will quickly realise that whilst they were intoxicated they managed to defend their land, governed themselves, and lived free from the terror of warlords and religious fanatics. And on top of that they managed not only to rebuild their devastated cities from scratch but quadrupled them in size. So my friend if it is the mirqaan that is responsible for Somaliland's apparent success compared to your very sober people, then I want to be high in cloud nine for the next few millennia. -
I think they want to join AMISOM and get a piece of the pie. What else can Eritrea get from Somalia?

Yes indeed if you want to weaken a nation eliminate its brightest minds. Few years ago Israel carried out a series of assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists to slow down their nuclear program. -

Excellent points OO. The only thing SFG has in its favour is international recognition and that is not something a country can depend on for unity. There are over 200 countries in the world each with their own interests and any of these countries can seriously undermine your sovereignty as was seen in the DP World saga if interests clash. The only guarantor for a nation's unity and sovereignty is the goodwill of its own citizens or an overwhelming military. Turkey's entire security and foreign policy is dominated by the need to keep its Kurdish region by any means possible. They make friends and enemies based on this Kurdish issue. The pillars of China's foreign and security polities are concerned with the need to prevent Taiwan, Tibet, and other regions breaking away. Spain is struggling and there are others in this sort of mess. On the other hand countries like the United Kingdom and Canada are less concerned about spending blood and sweat on keeping national unity because their unity is protected by the goodwill of their citizens. Referendums were readily granted to separatist regions to choose their political destiny but the residents of those regions chose to remain with the rest and frustrated those who wanted out. America is not concerned about its states breaking away because those states want the union. I think koonfuria needs to come up with a better strategy if it wants to keep Somaliland in the union instead of relying on the opinion of the international community. -
I suggest you seek psychiatric help. Ma fayoobidee tolkaa halkuu ka dhacay may dharka kuu xidhaan.
