To put Somaliland on the path of development, we need to have a truly independent judiciary and police forces which are vital for fighting corruption and implementation of the law. But more importantly, we need to have respect for our Islamic faith and values.

Eriteria is a dictatorship while Somaliland is free and democratic. They are totally different countries.

Hargeisa has a lot of problems such as terrible roads, mountains of rubbish everywhere, suffocating dust, chaotic markets and traffic, complete absence of open parks and public spaces, very few trees and no greenary, chronic shortage of water, no sewage or drainage system, and biblical style outbreaks of pests like flies, mice, and cockroaches. Truth be told, Hargeisa is not a pleasant place to live in. Its more like a supersized shanty town.
