Tal, you pathetic dhaqan beast! its dhaqan not dhagan. look at this village hunno type! you're teeth must be an extra 20% large than an inch because you use them to plow the fields. LOL Firstly, its huuno and not hunno. Secondly, I am reer bari saaxiib. Correction: Dad is reer bari and I am from Hargeisabad.

He has severe inferiority complex. The real sujuu hadaad rabto inaad aragtid, go to the baadiyaha of NEP ama the cities there. The people there are 100% Somali and no amount of propaganda can change that. We know our heritage and we're proud of it. As for whether or not we want to join Somalia, it pains me to say no sane person wishes that today, no matter how bad our lot currently is, it's much better than what Somalia can offer us. As for our economic misfortunes, we were and still are a marginalized community for no other reason than our race and the fact that we didn't want, nor do we want to be Kenyans. Our forefathers said no to Jomo Kenyatta and we are still paying the price for that till today. As for reer Somalia coming in, they did what they had to do to survive and so did we. If many of us went to the West on the backs of burburka Soomaaliya, so what? We've been paying the price for Soomaali gobonimadoon all these decades and we've deserved since in fact we've been living in calculated underdevelopment since 1963 and way before since Xaaji Mikaahiil uu Xajka tagey (a little joke for those who understand ). And today if reer Somalia are returning home, they have no reason to say thank you to us. What exactly have we done for them? The UN was the ones that housed them and it was the Western governments that gave them passports. As for Islii benefiting, how exactly does that benefit the average Soomaali in Habasweyne, Sabuuli, Diif, Wajeer ama Balambala other than the bus owners and the hawkers that sell their wares? It has been a mutualistic relationship, we have both benefited in some ways and we have both suffered in some ways. So why do you oppose Somaliland which left the union for the same reasons?

STOIC;903147 wrote: I agree with Haatu here. There are more holes in Somaliland politics than in that proverbial Swiss cheese.Somaliland is today poisoned by irattionality of sub-clan politics in the service of narrow self-interest of few powerful men.. What we have witnessed over the last few months , which showed a dramatic display of sub-clan politics, suggest that Somaliland is NOT ready to part ways with Somalia permanently yet and if they do at this time they are in for a big chilling shock! In this respect the question of secession is entirely irrelevant until the public educates themselves on the downfall of sub-clan politics and a strong civic institutions separate from the clasp of any president is put in place.. Though it was in the offing long before this past election, but this sham election brought the weakness of Somaliland to the open and I will argue Somaliland is NOT ready yet.I hate to admit it, but the truth never kills anyone! I echo your sentiments. Somaliland should fix its internal problems first before it can ask for a divorce.

A diplomat for 20 years!! If this is the kind of people sent abroad to represent the Somali people, God help us.

^^ Two equally valid arguments:D

The Somali people should protect their language from corruption like the French do. We should expunge the invading English, Arabic, Dutch, Swedish, Amharic, and Sujui words and keep our language in its pure natural form. We should not let the dhagan celis and the qurbomeer ruin our beautiful mother tongue.
-
^^ I agree with you.

Somali women who use these toxic products should be educated about them and also told its haraam to change one's natural colour.

Somaliland government begins ranking its armed Forces

^^ Why are you using Puntland air force footage for a Somaliland poem? Stop mocking us waaryaa. -
The Somali embassy should be fire bombed if they do the bidding of the Kenyans. Where are the Superpower boys?

Chimera;904269 wrote: Xabad might have an IQ lower than a baby kangaroo, he's spot on in this topic. Why are we salivating about other cities when we have Mogadishu, Zeila, Merka, Barawa, Taleh etc, maybe if we had the same respect for our own heritage as we have others, it wouldn't be in the state it is today? Mogadishu by far fascinates me the most of any city in the world, its rebirth must usher in permanent peace; Xamar was beautiful indeed.

With 'made in Kulmiye HQ' political crisis in Somaliland, Qoslaaye's bad start with the D-block, and Faroole's increasing dictatorial tendencies, its time the spring revolution reached SOL. So dear nomads, whatever your grievances just march into this thread, let loose your inner ape, and make you voice(or your script's voice) heard loud and clear.
-
^^ Mooge may not be a popular member in SOL but the man was very dignified through out the campaign period and did not resort to name calling. Indeed, I nearly voted for him too only for Abtigiis to snatch my vote in the last minute with his outrageous stories. Congratulations Mooge.

The European union gave Somaliland this year 28 million for water development which the government allocated to Hargeisa, Berbera and wajaale. how about some water wells for these coastal communities. Finally no body can use as a bribe to geele for the Zaylac people. waar indha adagaa reer barigu , dad doorasho ku soo baxay buu leeyahay kuwa kale u daaya. maxaad berbera in aad mayor ka noqotaan aad u samayn waydeen. ku xigeenkii xataa dadkii ayaa qatay oo weliba governarkii saaxilna la siiyey. Ilaahay nama joojiyo maalinta uu kaasi madaxweyne noqdo. Muuse Biixi has no chance of becoming a president. He has too many opponents and few friends it seems. In order to become the president of Somaliland, one has to thread a fine line and please all the tribes, an important characteristic absent in Muuse Biixi's CV.

^^ The whole country should oppose and protest against any interference by the government in the democratic process. If the president undermines the will of the people in Saylac today, tomorrow, Hargeisa, Berbera, Burco, and Ceerigaabo will follow and Somaliland's democracy will be effectively dead. The president should better concentrate on how to make the system work well for everyone.

Demonstrations in Borama as reer Borama demand the Seylac Mayorship
Tallaabo replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
Xaaji Xunjuf;903584 wrote: ^^ Thats not a problem in 1993 they tried troubles in Seylac president Cigaal silenced them , in 1999 the relations between Somaliland and Djibouti were so bad that they almost went to war. But cigaal had balls he could care less about what any one thinks of his Somaliland., Ismaciil cumar geele firing his ministers and ambassadors from the non jesus clan is just absurd. The government of Somaliland should accept democracy the people of Seylac elected a mayor and deputy mayor and that's fine. It is unacceptable for the government to interfere and abstract the democratic process. The majority won in this election and their rights should be respected. President Silaanyo should tell the Djibouti tyrant not to interfere in our internal affairs. -
With the end of hostilities in Somalia, the Somalis will return to their homeland, the UN will leave Nairobi, the numerous relocated embassies will re-relocate to Mogadishu, the aid agencies will follow, the dollar will say its goodbyes and leave, and the Kikuyu will be left scratching his head and wondering whether his rather short golden age is about to come to an abrupt end.
