I wonder what is happening there, PIS is funded by the CIA, Puntland Marines by the UAE, one would expect that the Faroole receives sufficient funding from piracy and anti piracy activities? Where do all these funds go to? Carafaat you are mixing unrelated issues here. The few former rebels in SL changed sides to join the mainstream society because they changed their political believes and not because of money.
  2. Xaaji and Oodka, you are being rude to our muslim brothers have come to help us. Please show them some courtesy.

  4. Thanks for the good work nuune. Keep our language alive or else the qurbomeer folks will kill it with corrupted foreign words like "malayshiyada dagaalka soo qaaday". Its difficult to know whether they are saying Malaysia(the country) or militia(jabhad)

  6. Alpha, what do you mean by "national"? I am sure the people of Jabuuti as well as those in Somaliland do not subscribe to your "national" tag. So are your symbols going to be used only for Somalia or for all the Somalis as an ethnic group?

  8. ^ That is plagiarism and will not be accepted.
  9. Yes clan influence and support is there in Somaliland and will be there for the foreseeable future but if there is an issue the national government is interested in it will always get its way regardless of which clan is against it. Unlike Somalia, the national government in Somaliland is very well established and is now too powerful for the clans.
  10. ^ He was lying to you. Dare him to commit a crime in Somaliland and see if he can then rely on his clan;)

  12. ^ Oba that was the case in the early 90s. Now it is the national government who run the show. Even our kings and sultans are no longer immune from the tentacles of the security forces.
  13. You are right Alpha. Search Somalia and then click on the images. Google should put a warning sign there:(

More then 30 died in those explosioned that were carried out by Al Shabaab. P.S. Che, so Godane is not your leader anymore? So you have definetly embraced Faroole. He would definitely be given the death penalty.
  16. I am supporting Mr Somalia in this case. Carafaat is just looking for any excuse to blame the Puntlanders and other federalists. Mogadisho is rightly controlled by its inhabitants because every clan controls its own territory. However, it is naive of Tarzan to expect Somalis from other regions to surrender their power and autonomy to what is basically a one clan dominated capital. I hope our HAG brethren give up the unrealistic dream that Somalis will once again pour their financial resources and human capital into their city because that era is over. Also the revenues generated from Mogadisho and its assets such as the port and the airport should be spent only in Banadir and on its inhabitants and should never be given to the other regions or to the federal government. The cost of the national army and the federal government should be shared by all the regions.
  17. Waranle_Warrior;946196 wrote: Somalis were and still are hard people, violent and camel herders - that's not a trait a predator/slave master is looking for in a human commodity. The Somalis historically have organized themselves in groups of clans and tribes and everyone knew the ancestors and the names of the members of the clan or sub group. If any one of them disappeared or is killed by another clan/sub-group or anyone else they had always sought a way to avenge for their loss, its called Aano and it still exists. Given these camel herder Waranle, always ready for combat, mentality of Somalis I doubt the earlier Arab/Western slave masters would have easy target in Somalia to abduct slaves. Arab and Western slave traders probably knew well that if they abducted any Somali from any clan, the slave traders themselves would be enslaved by the victim's tribe as a revenge:cool:

  20. I subscribe to Chimera's school of thought. Inta kale meesha wax kuma hayso. I believe in the coming decades the Somali peninsula’s ancient treasures will be unearthed my experts from around the world and our history will be on display for everyone to see.
  21. From now on we should use our very own words at least in SOL and ditch the corrupting imported foreign words. Thanks nuune, we should indeed preserve our lovely language like the French do for theirs. We should set up a commission of experts responsible for protecting our language in this forum and punish Alpha, Chimera, and the other hopeless qurbomeer when ever they write an incorrect or foreign word in their Somali:D
