These developments are taking place in Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E, Kuwait and Qatar, all of whom are the worst performing countries at the International Mathematics Olympiad as well as in TIMSS/PISA testing for science and math. I know this isn't new issue and they've been discussed before, but it seems as if nothing is being done to rectify it. Even the KAUST which was highly-touted as bringing R & D to the middle east relies almost solely on foreigners, many of whom would never consider Saudi Arabia their permanent home. KAUST is nothing more than a gated community. The Saudis should have invested the money spent on this foreign run institute on their already existing universities. But the Arabs are right to invest heavily on their infrastructure. Those financial districts, terminals, ports, and railways will benefit their citizens and generate economic growth if managed well.
  11. Alphoow inaar, Horta why were you arrested the other day?

  13. The Khatumites will never allow Puntland boots on their soil. If this news is true I am sure the khatumites will expel the invaders.

Please teach them the difference between appointing a president (like in Puntland, Koonfuria, and North Korea) and electing a president (like in Somaliland, France, and the USA)

Does he has any chance of becoming president in the fiefdom of SL, NO. how can he has any chance while the three legit parties are from the Habros, the speakers of the TWO parliaments are from Habros, the important ministerial such as Foreign and interior ministers are from the Habros. Landers might say oh look at Riyaale he was not from the Habros, but Riyaale has won the lottery when Cigaal died . So Samatar you have zero chance of becoming something in the triangle. Riyaale was not nominated but elected with a popular mandate. But I do understand that to you as a man from a failed state, having an elected president is like winning a multi-million dollar lottery;)

  20. First, the former foreign minister was ok and I don't know why you guys are accusing him of incompetency. Secondly, the former Interior minister Mr Duur like the minister of natural resources has done an excellent job and the president should have kept him.

Xaji Xundur, doesn't this hurt you to see how no one on SOL cares about the Hargeisa administration's reshuffles. Remember the big buzz the Somalia cabinet naming was? Unlike your lot we respect our politicians but don't idolise them and we certainly don't fight over political positions. In Somaliland we have rules and regulations and follow time tested democratic processes. Our politicians don't answer to African colonial masters but to their electorates and therefore we don't debate about which politician is going to kiss Mr Kikuyus @ss and which one is going to be a big sucker for Mr Burundi.

Who'll be the President of that imaginary country of yours? Gimme a break LOOOL :D Btw, what's with the tags. That's really offensive Alpha Basically president Cigaal (Alle ha u naxariis) wanted to force one habar to accept his rule unconditionally and so went into the ring with that habar for a bare knuckle match.
