Acccorrding to AllGalgaduud.com, they are renamed " dhalinyaradda dib u xoreeynta dalka" (DDD). Nothing wrong with that, except that for the benefits of the international media, the DDD will have to be translated into English and Arabic. Now, I am not good in Arabic, but I can figure out what DDD would be: al shabab li taxrir al wadan. ;)
  2. Alphoow inaar beertaada barwaaqada ah adhigayga ma ku soo daayaa Alle khayr ha ku siiyee;)
  3. 33rd King of Somalia? I did not know Somalia had a king lol  Alle ha u naxariisto marxuunka. Amiin
  4. nuune;966124 wrote: I have a leaked information on this, someone close enough to the government just told me this today by email, to summarize: 1- All the 16 staff working at the Central Bank are all hired by the top guys(wasiirka maaliyada, madaxweynaha, gudoomiyaha barlamaanka, ra'isul wasaaraha iyo wasiirka difaaca), other ministers also have a role in the Central Bank, even the security guys at the central bank are appointed by a government minister. 2- All the ministers and top guys have a special messenger who withdraws cash and is known to their appointed bank staff, so the top guys will not come to collect cash, instead they send the middle men to do their job. 3- So the messengers only approach the bank staff that the top guys nominated themselves, la iskuma saqajaamayo and everything is smooth no buuq no qeylo. 4- With that system in place, no bank staff can be fired as they have protection from the top guys. 5- All the 16 staff working there including the Human Resource one are all appointed by a top official of the top guys. Loooool What a neat system!!;)
  5. Very sad documentary. One of the women workers said they received 10 to 15 rape victims daily !! I wish all the mindless criminals behind this crisis were gathered in one place and obliterated with mustard gas. They belong in a mass grave.

You are holding the people of Khatumo hostage and have shelled them many a time, turning their land into a hostile battlefield environment, denying them any chance to develop and achieve. Less than 10% of the people of Khatumo have access to clean water - thanks to SNM terrorists. Walaal you have been fooled by certain qurbo joog groups whose sole aim in life is to bring war and mayhem to their own people. It would be a good idea if you actually travelled to Somaliland and to the Garaad clan region and see with your own eyes who runs their affairs. Indeed I have heard many times from people of Somaliland's other regions complaining that the government was neglecting them and only concentrating on this region and that region. So of course when the pie is as small as the Somaliland budget, not everyone is going to be happy.
  7. Why is there no check and balance mechanisms in the new Somalia constitution? The signatories of the Garowe road map should have thought of this and put such procedures in place.
  8. Alpha Blondy;966092 wrote: i couldn't possibly confirm nor deny such an assertion, ma garatay? You don't have to deny or confirm anything because there is a Somaliland version of Forbes's 100 richest rats on the way. Just be prepared for a long queue of tolka waiting for shaxaad behind your barbed wires:p

Minister of Islamic affairs Aden Hassan Aden, Somalia's Minister of Information, Posts and Telecommunications Abdullahi Ilmoge Hirsi, Somaliland regional Minister of Culture Abiib Diriye Nur and Vice President of the Somali region of Ethiopia Abdihakim Igal Omar attended the event at the Kempinski Hotel in Djibouti, as did about 50 prominent Somali-speaking intellectuals from the region and abroad. President Ismail Omar Guelleh met with the visiting officials before the ceremony to commend their efforts towards the preservation of the Somali language. This is a very important development indeed and flies in the face of the French cultural imperialists. Kudos to Jabuuti (I hate to pollute the Somali nation's good name with an awful French D).
  12. Wonderful photos. I wish the sate of Puntland a peaceful transition into a multi-party democracy.

Two separate countries. I bet this forum would not be as interesting without the Landers. A strike action by Alpha alone would put LST out of business;)
  16. The citizens of Somaliland are doing great things to develop their economy and build their country. But what the nation sorely lacks is government intervention and leadership. Each telecom company in Somaliland is operating independently from all its rivals and the customers of one firm can not call those of the other networks without carrying with them different sim cards. Similarly, Zaad customers can not transfer mobile money to the users of other services because of the same lack of interconnectivity. The same goes for landline telephone services, electricity distributors, and so on. What Somaliland urgently needs now is a concerted effort from all the government departments to set up a national grid for all utility companies starting with the telecom sector and the electricity distributors, and also interconnect the money transfer companies, the banks, and the mobile money technology. An efficient and modern energy, banking, and telecom network should be constructed with investment coming from all the utility and financial companies, the public, and the government; all contributing their share into a single national development investment bank which is also managed by all the stakeholders. The government should then work hard to bring every sector of the economy under the ministry of finance, the central bank, the courts, and independent watchdogs; then introduce and enforce a simple and codified tax collection system for all businesses and employees.
  17. How many Somali men fathered illegitimate children with foreign women all over the damn world and are still held in high regard by their families and clans? All I can say is, Somalis are immoral hypocrites.
  18. I can not wish my brothers and sisters in Somalia a "happy independence" when in fact there is neither happiness and nor independence to speak of. However, I will pray for you this coming blessed month and ask the Almighty for your deliverance and guidance from this un-ending calamity insha Allah.
