Here is an interesting lecture about rap music:

All these consecutive tyrannical regimes are completely useless. In each government there are ministers for propaganda and culture but no one to run education and health for the nation!! This says a lot about the priorities of the tyrants. I have no choice but to organise a "SOL spring" to bring down the devils:mad:

Where can i watch ottomans Europe Muslim Emperors by raage omaar
Tallaabo replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in General
You should wait for few months for the BBC to rebroadcast it as a repeat programme. They usually do. If you can't wait that long then you can buy the DVD from the BBC shop or better rent it from a local library or video shop. -

Sounds to me that you would be held accountable because your decision led to the death of 5 people. Could you live with that decision? Yes it is a conscious decision. It is the decision to let nature take its course. Interfering with such events would make one decide the life and death of others. I would be wrong to kill a man to safe others so I would let all face their fate. It is like a lottery.

guleed_ali;986838 wrote: Are Somali passports allowed to be produced in Hargeisa? If so, then this a good thing that curbs the production of illegal passports. I don't dabble into politics all that much but I still don't get why the "Republic of Somaliland" still have Members in the "Somali" Parliament. The Republic of Somaliland does not have any representatives in any other country's national parliament. It is up to the countries of the world to decide who sits in their respective parliaments but Somaliland has no influence in any other country's decision making. Of course Somaliland would not mind having its citizens in other countries' parliaments as that would give us diplomatic advantages. We hope more of our citizens join the national parliaments of Kenya, Ethiopia, Djibouti, the Sultanate of Ma...tania, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, USA, etc

I hope the Genel team have not exploited our situation to extract more concessions from our government. -

Oodweyne;986668 wrote: Talaabo, I am afraid you couldn't be more wrong in here. You see Dahir Aweys, is the sort of chap who lost (and I mean lost in spectacular way) every political and military fight he was involved in ever since 1990s. Furthermore, all of his tireless scheming to create his own "political empire" based on Xamar ruling the rest of Somalia, while that empire is "shrouded" with an Islamically-tinged pronouncement came to nothing, And, he, as we speak in here, is in prison in Mogadishu, hoping that Mr. Hassan Sheikh (a man he once "groomed" to be a future leader of the USC Islamist) would not bargain him away to Uncle Sam and to his "black-prisons" around the world. So, you see, he is not - as they say in this part of blighty - a chap worth bothering to buy even a second hand goods from him, even if he were to swore their "legitimacy" on his cold blood ( ) But still, all that being said, one has to say, that, in the "Somali context" , where every "political failure" is but the beginning of the next great political opportunity and adventure, his kind will never be short of some gullible and hapless Somalis, in which they could send them to their early grave. And, even to boot, in the midst of the mayhem they have created it deliberately, his kind of ilk, could always be rely on to proceed to stroke their beards and, nonchalantly, intone a few Koranic verses to sound exceeding pious to any passer-by. What you have said is true but I am sure the evil plot this sick man was making to bring down Somaliland and Puntland has some strategic merit. Indeed there is a very important lesson to be learned from this exposed secret plans of Al Shabaab. The government of Somaliland should realise sooner rather than later that free and vibrant media is our first line of defence against our avowed enemies. Journalists should be encouraged to pursue better education in journalism and follow a code of conduct in their profession; but also they should be given the freedom to shine light on every dark shadow they come across, be it within the government or elsewhere. Only then will those who are constantly planning to attack Somaliland from within run out of places to hide.

How pathetic! Have you got difficulties reading your own post? Where does it say Somaliland is using fake passport? The article says the fake e-passports are being produced by some people in Somaliland for profiteering and your minister has requested the government of Somaliland to put a stop to those illegal activities. I suggest you read carefully what you post before spouting nonsense about the Republic of Somaliland.

The Somali and other African and South Asian women use Diana to bleach their skin to whiten their faces. Many ethnic women also bleach their hair or use blonde wigs. Isn't that the same thing as what these students were doing?

Haatu;986696 wrote: You guys are mixing a lot of things. Our land is in Kenya and that makes us Kenyan citizens. We might not like it but it's a reality today. So, when Mohamed asks the question "are you Kenyan", he's really asking "do you see yourself as a Kenyan citizen" which goes without saying. Our identity on the other hand is obviously Somali. As for you guys saying we ought to fight, ask yourselves "what good will it bring"? They are mixing ethnic identity with geopolitical location and their ignorance about Kenya's history does not help. Kenya is an amalgamation of tribes from hell put together by the British empire. It should be thought of as the "forced Union of warring tribes". Unfortunately your people found themselves in the middle of this uneasy political construct and so have no choice but to claim their rightful share of the pie.

My comment to the contribution is inline with the topic i.e. tangible in the sciences and arts. I mean, we have lived in this region of the world for millennia and we have nothing to show for it, thus our contribution being nil. If all of the Somali Lands were swallowed by the earth tomorrow, the people and the land wont really be missed, isn't that a comment on us as peoples? I hate to hear the question you asked: "what have Somalis contributed to the world?" Indeed on more than one occasion I was harassed with this question by the white people who added that we Somalis only contributed terror and illegal immigration to the world civilisation. We are a waste of space and so we should commit mass suicide, don't you think?
