I hope this is not true but if it is then say goodbye to Somalia. I don't know who is making decisions in the SFG but all I know is that he is incompetent. Opposing the formation of Jubaaland is one thing but taking sides in militia warfare is asking for the renewal of the civil war.

It's really embarrassing that we're still behaving like the early 1990s. I'm sure the truth is completely different than what both sides claim and we will have to wait for few days to see who has the upper hand.

The guy is delusional to think that people will hand him power due to his education or credentials. Somalia is ruled by clans and the more you get to your side the better your chance is of attaining power. He came from a position of weakness with few delegates from an area that is mostly pro Somaliland and he expects to be crowned, people with high degrees sometimes fail to see the obvious.

Lookslike a great project. It's obvious that Mogadishu is going in the right direction, the only thing it needs is security.A proactive SFG that is more serious in handling its own business and capable of creating a beefed up army and police will open the floodgate to foreign investment.

Not good. Al Shabaab is getting stronger and bolder and they feel safe to operate in the capital without fear. If this continues this will weaken the SFG and this is not good for Somalia.

So, The plane didn't have permission to land and just showed up suddenly, and like any normal airport that didn't find the plane in their schedule they barred it from landing. I don't see the big news here.

Long overdue. They are one of the most oppressed people in Somalia and they deserve to manage their own affairs.
