1. Well, with the pacification of Somalia/Somaliland being an ongoing process, I expect more and more Somali youth in Europe to start acquiring the skills/education they need to succeed in Somalia. And as time goes on, there'll be more Somali youth emigrating to their homeland. Not like these useless Somali old-men politicians who don't know a thing about economics or business or industry or trade. British Somalis are in a unique position to acquire world-class education and work experience, and then transferring their skills back home to Africa. I hope they use it well. A lot of the I-Block Somalis who live in London can acquire skills and then go into Government in Hargeisa, replacing the useless Somalilander politicians who don't do a thing to uplift their people or improve the state of the country. The same can be done in Somalia Banning Khat was the first step.
2. Saying the same thing over and over doesn't make it a fact. You both look delusional when you keep insisting that we are being subservient to Arabs. Mentally polluted people wallahi. We submit ourselves to Allah and Allah only. And whether the Caliph is an Arab (Umar bin Khattab) or a Kurd (Salahudeen Ayuubi) or a Turk (Suleiman The Magnificent) or a Persian (Al-Mamun) literally makes no difference to us. The Caliph could be a Bengali or a Berber and I wouldn't care. And the Ajuuran Sultanate in Somalia was a rather prosperous stable and powerful Muslim Empire which had an alliance with the Ottoman Caliphate and is the best example of Somali success and self-sufficiency. Yet you Atheists want to return us to ruling according to European customs and systems of governance. As if the 1960-1991 period wasn't enough of a lesson. Mentally polluted people wallahi
3. Lool the worst Caliphs are far superior to Siad Barre, General Sisi, Gaddafi, Mubarak, Sadat, Saddam Hussein, and Bashar Assad That is a fact
4. I 100% agree with you CidanSultan. That is the only way forward. Implementing Islam at a grassroots level and start inter-community cooperation, and slowly we can start building the foundations of a powerful Islamic State which respects the rights of it's citizens and is an example to the rest of the world. But I don't like nor do I agree with the actions of ISIS, Shabab and all these other groups. I want Somalia to be the gateway into Africa, when it comes to Islam. If Somalia becomes stable inshaAllah and goes through economic development, I want the Somali Government to start funding trips for Muslim missionaries to start preaching Islam in all these southern African countries. The Missionaries could even be backed by Somali troops, and the entire project could be funded by the Somali Government, and it would be extraordinarily cheap to carry out. We've seen the successes of British-based Muslim Dawah groups in the West and in Africa. Imagine this Dawah was backed by the funding of a powerful nation (ie. Somalia) We could go a long way with this.
5. So the truth has national boundaries. And once you cross these national boundaries, the truth takes on a different form. I've never heard that before, but okay!
6. Yoniz, yeah...The Somali Government installing CCTV Cameras all over the place is a very pro-active approach, and I'd fully support it. Monitoring cell-phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication too, but it would be enormously difficult and expensive to carry out
7. Well if we hit rock bottom, then I hope the average Somali person KNOWS we hit rock bottom. We could go a long way with that. The people will know their clan politicians have failed them. That their tribal elders have failed them. That their uncles who sit all day in coffee shops have failed the.m
8. Good riddance to bad rubbish This snake should have been imprisoned longer, but it's a good start.
9. @Wadani said: I went from being the proudest Somali you could ever meet just a year ago to now wondering whether soomaalinimo is a curse and whether we r doomed as a people. Yesterday I woke up to news of the savage murder of Saado Cali AUN, and today I read about the sexual jihadi escapades of brainwashed ajanabi worshipping Somali girls. Tollaayay Tollayyyy...Ya Allah, please change the miserable condition of my people before the truly good Somalis give up hope completely and resign themselves to this fate. Angola went through an even longer civil war than Somalia did. The Congo War was far more brutal than Somalia's Civil War. Bro, you need to put things into perspective. Europe went through entire centuries of conflict, where entire generations of young men were wiped out due to war. The 30 Year War between the Catholics and Protestants in Europe is just one example. Iraq has gone through pain since 1980, beginning with the decade-long Iran-Iraq War, and then the painful Gulf War where they lost, and then to the 1990's sanctions where 500 000 Iraqi children starved to death, and then to the 2003 American invasion of Iraq where almost 1 million Iraqis died, and now to the ISIS-takeover of northern Iraq. We Somalis have suffered far less when compared to these Iraqis. You give up too easily. If it's any consolation, most of Somalia is rather peaceful. If this civil war keeps continuing, then it will only result in Somaliland and Puntland in gaining their own independence. And if you want to be upset about Somali girls fighting in Syria, there are hundreds of examples of Pakistani and Arab girls and boys who fly to Syria as well. It isn't a "Somali" thing. There are White people even, who fly to Syria to fight in that war. The majority of Somalis in North America and Europe don't make the news. Because they live boring lives. Nothing worth reporting
10. Authubilahi mina shaytani rajim Why can't you just admit that all tribes in Somalia have their faults, and all have blood on their hands? When an I-Block Somali commits a crime, you dismiss it as an isolated case. But when a D-Block Somali does the same thing, you want to make it appear systematic. You do realize that Siyad Barre persecuted members of Sheikh Sharif's clan right? AND he persecuted members of Aideed's clan. Do you realize Siyad Barre went to Puntland and killed thousands of MJ Somalis, killed their livestock and poisoned their wells? That's him killing his fellow "D-Block" members. And look at his Cabinet, look at his Military. It was full of I-Block Somalis from Hargeisa. This is at a time when thousands upon thousands of MJ Somalis had to seek refuge in Italy because they feared for their own safety. In reality, Siyad Barre didn't give a shit about D-Block, and you know it. His actions speak for themselves You make history look as if it's black and white, when reality is more complicated than that.
11. Amiin Mooge, so you think tribal elements directly connected to Culusow are responsible for this woman's death? There's not a single doubt in my mind that this President (and previous Somali presidents actually) have had a hand in assassinating their political enemies. It's all too easy in Somalia to hire hit-squads to do your dirty work
12. @CidanSultan said: It's easy to blame the soviets ad te Cubans but like Bura said the real failure lay at the incompetence of the somali govenement. During the Cold War both the Soviet Union and the United States supported Ethiopia this shows the level of incompetence. Mingustu choose a path and stuck to it building alliances along the way. While the somali military whose top rankin officers were there because of tribe more then competence killed the best and bravest the top divisions in the somali army as reported during the war were the northern divisions. The failure to build alliances saw even yemen join the support of Ethiopia. D block stupidity led to the defeat of Somalis to Ethiopia and d block stupidity led to the civil war and d block stupidity led to the collapes of Somalia and hag stupidity killed what was left The end You're acting as if there were no I-Block members in Siyad Barre's government. You have got to be kidding me CidanSultan. The blame goes on all sides, and your tribe isn't blameless. Everyone's hands are dirty
13. Yoniz so you're advocating that Somalia's Government installs security cameras on every sidewalk and street corner, just like in London, UK? I'd prefer our Government took a more pro-active approach to these issues, instead of being defensive. They need to be more aggressive. And I'd prefer that anyone who is found guilty to be working with Al Shabab or any Warlord, should be executed, instead of being imprisoned. It would send a far stronger message. At least with execution, the effects are permanent. You can't reverse that. But with imprisonment, the corrupt President could just sign some executive order, releasing the criminal from prison where he'd be free to continue doing what he used to do. Al Shabab executes those who work for the government. I don't see why the Government can't do the same thing to those who work for Al Shabab or any Militia Leader or Warlord.
14. And I feel like it's gonna get worse. Before you know it, the Europeans will start behaving like the Russians, and start to expel all dark-skinned foreigners from their country. During the Communist era, Russia was filled with foreigners. Many Somalis studied in Russia during the 1970s, and so did many other Africans and Asians. But today? Russia is extremely xenophobic and entire sections of Russia are off-limits to foreigners. The right-wing parties have gained prominence in the last decade, and they're blaming foreigners for all their problems. There might come a day when France would once again be a land where you see nothing but White Frenchmen
15. These killers are literally walking up to the lady in BROAD DAYLIGHT and shooting her multiple times. And this has happened to multiple MP Members, not just her. And NOBODY ever steps forward and reports the murder to the police. No one is ever arrested. And it explains why Abdiweli Gaas had to bring his own security forces when he visited Mogadishu a few months ago. He knew he couldn't trust the people in Xamar with his life. And it explains why the current Prime Minister had to bring his OWN security detail from his own sub-clan to protect him! If the people of Mogadishu are the ones behind such actions, then Mogadishu really has no place in Somali politics. If this is the culture of Mogadishu, then there needs to be some serious house-cleaning done before we can ever take that city seriously again
16. Mooge can I ask you a question? Why is it that everytime a public figure like her is shot, it's done in a public crowded place, with at least a dozen witnesses. Yet for some reason, no one steps forward and identify the killers? Are the people refusing to cooperate with the police? Or are the police just really really bad at their jobs?
17. InshaAllah, I hope you are right. But I've been hearing the whole "Qoslaaye is finished" line for a few months now, and unfortunately this President is still in charge. So let's not believe this news at all until we actually have real evidence.
18. Allahunaxaristu this is an absolute disgrace! May Allah make it easy on her family! The security in our capital is appalling!
19. Shirk is a very serious cancer and we need to stamp out Shirk. And this is why the Quran repeatedly warns against Shirk, in almost every chapter. I don't know how the Shia's can read the Quran, read the verses condemning Shirk, and then at the same time pray to Ali or Hussein or their Imams. Like, is there something wrong in their thinking processes?
20. Cidan but don't you think that the European Far-Right are gonna start slogans like "France for the French" or "Italy for the Italians" and start deporting ALL foreigners from their country--Muslim or not? That's the rhetoric coming from these countries. These Europeans couldn't give a damn whether you're Muslim or not. If you're a dark-skinned foreigner, they want you out of their country. I think they're trying to make their countries ethnically homogeneous just like South Korea or Japan (where you'll find very very few foreigners) That's what's happening in Russia. That's what's happening in Greece. And these far-right parties are gaining more and more prominence in even UK, France, and some other European nations.
21. All the previous religions were at one point monotheistic. It was just after some centuries that they slowly became polytheistic and filled with Shirk. So the early Christians worshiped Allah and saw Jesus as a Prophet. But after some time they started calling Jesus the son of God, and then they started worshiping Jesus himself. Then some Christian sects started to worship the Virgin Mary. Some Catholics started to worship different Saints and before you know it, Christianity became a fully-fledged polytheistic faith.. The same goes for Shi'ism. Islam is monotheistic, but there are some Shia's who pray to Ali (such as the Alawites of Syria) and there are some who pray to Hussein or the 12 Imams or whatever. Instead of making du'a to Allah and putting their trust in Allah, they decide to place their trusts on Hussein or Ali. It's a pathetic state of affairs when people who claim to be Muslims, say "Ya Ali" or "Ya Hussein" whenever hardship befalls them. It's pathetic that they have posters of Ali or Hussein in their Masjids. It's pathetic that they completely forgot about their Lord, and they decided to pray to others except Allah. But there are thousands of examples of this throughout history. The same happened to Noah's people, Moses's people, and Abraham's people. The Jews of Moses worshiped a golden calf even though Moses specifically warned them NOT to worship any idols, but to worship Allah alone. Even if you read the Hindu scriptures, the man "Krishna" warned his people not to worship anything except Allah. But today, millions of Hindus pray to Krishna, and they're completely ignoring his warnings. That is why we should always remain vigilant, and have no tolerance for Shirk. Because Shirk doesn't come overnight. It's a long (often centuries long) process and before you know it, the people are worshiping a stone idol which they were specifically warned not to do
22. LOL I love this Xabad guy
23. @xabad said: Muslims societies are a total failure hence Muslims immigrate to prosperous and tolerant countries. But instead of learning from these countries and being grateful. They try to recreate the hell holes they left behind. Madness You mean like the secular republics of Tunisia, Indonesia, Iraq (under Saddam), Syria, Somalia (under Siad), Libya (under Gaddafi), Yemen, Lebanon, Jordan, and many other "Muslim" countries that aren't really Muslim. Yes they have Muslim-majority populations but the governance is FAR from Islam. But you don't wanna pay attention to facts. Because you're already brainwashed to believe whatever nonsense you wanna believe
24. Deeq I 100% agree bro. I'll make sure to repost what you said in certain discussion forums and repeat what you said to all the Somalis that I know. If we at least attempt to invest in and build Somaliland, Puntland, and Galmudug, then maybe this will start a chain of events which will lead to the eventual stabilization of southern Somalia, inshaAllah. But our country can never move forward until the best and brightest Somalis do what they can for their country, and to put their differences aside for the greater good. And I'm gonna say this again: We need to ignore the ramblings of Somalis who are in anyway connected to the warlords or corrupt politicians. I've met more than enough of them and a lot of them have deeply corrupted, tribal, petty mindsets.
25. @xabad said: we are talking about about mitigating human suffering not population reduction. fahankaaga yaraa. /DoctorKenney/" rel="nofollow">@DoctorKenney said: Also, a lot of the land in southern Somalia which is arable, isn't being used for farming. All you're doing, is trying to put a band-aid on a wound that needs stitches. Your solutions have never worked before, but you want to try them again and again and again. Learn the difference between short-term solutions and long-term solutions. Even if you drop millions of contraceptives into Somalia, it'll only slightly reduce population growth because a lot of people would voluntarily choose NOT to use the drugs. But sure, keep promoting these failed "solutions"
