1. @Che -Guevara said: No one could be possible more useless than us. That is very true The scale of our uselessness is almost unimaginable. Our Somali forefathers would be horrified if they saw the utter depravity that exists in Somalia today.
2. ^^And for the uninitiated, you're nothing more than a troll who copies&pastes arguments from Missionary websites and then you add your short commentary, filled with condescending talk and under-handed insults. And then as soon as the matter is concluded, you come to us with something new, something unsubstantiated and your posts are designed to waste everyone's time and completely irritate them. It's because you're not capable of thinking on your own. Your little Atheist mind can't comprehend how to do something like this. And there's a reason why I stopped addressing you and stopped taking you seriously. At first, I was more than happy to address any of your concerns, but now I don't even waste my time dealing with the likes of you. You're absolutely despicable. Your behavior in this forum speaks for itself.
3. ^^Adam you know very well this is NOT about tribalism. I never saw Reer Puntland oppose Sheikh Shariif in the same manner which they oppose Hassan Sheikh And the opposition to him is pretty universal amongst Somalis, even amongst his own clan. So why are you making this into a qabiil issue? I don't even think its up for a debate, that Hassan Sheikh is a disaster for Somalia and has not benefited our country
4. Kadafi, thanks but I never once stood in the way of honest debate. Xabad is not only lying, but he's doing it in a way I'd only expect from someone with the worst intentions. Not only does he have non-existant knowledge of our Aqeedah, but he persists in this ignorance and when I refute him he admittedly says "Well I don't know about that" and then he comes back and makes the SAME arguments he copied&pasted from a Christian Missionary.
5. @xabad said: i don't know about allah creating anything but do you deny the head deity of the pagan arabs was called allah ? even the prophet's father was called abdu-allah so the name was known before mohammed by arabs. you have heard of the satanic verses. mohammed wanted to allow the qurash to call on the daughters of allah but it was later cancelled. Dr kenney i am somali stop lying to the people. See Point Number 2 that I made. You're literally making the same argument again that I actually just responded too. Read Point Number 2. Then read it again and again. Then come back to me after you read it over and over until it sinks in. You may not be too bright which is why I gotta repeat myself to you. You don't know so speaking out of ignorance is not something I'd recommend for somebody who "doesn't know" Abdullah ibn Salam was a Jewish Rabbi from Medina who converted to Islam upon meeting the Prophet. His name was Abdullah. Even before he converted to Islam his name was Abdullah. Abdullah means Servant of God and that was his name. Many Christians had that name as well. If you can't see what this obviously means then I really have no use for you. The Satanic Verses incident is a lie. Never happened. It was fabricated and story has no source at all nor was it ever known to the early Muslims. And no. You are not Somali. You told me and Xaaji Xunjuf that you are NOT Somali. And Xaaji confronted you about it. So don't lie to this forum about that.
6. @xabad said: By who??, Allah is the moon god of ancient pagan Arabia. He had three daughters al uzza, manah al lat. notice how muslim peoples make extenisve use of moon imagery. why ? what is the significance Arab christians & Jews use of allah out of convenience, both have different names for their gods not allah in their scriptures. 1. Allah is the Creator of the Universe and is the God worshiped by Abraham and those before him. There is no "moon god" and I specifically cited a Quranic verse refuting your nonsense argument. 2. The Pagan Arabs believed that Allah had daughters, the same way how the Christians believe that Allah had a son (Jesus). This is called "Shirk" in Islam, and it's a grave sin. The whole message of Islam is to purge society of Shirk and to restore belief and worship to Allah alone, and to put your trust in Allah, and to pray to Allah without associating partners or intermediaries with Him. Associating partners or children with Allah has been repeatedly condemned in the Quran, in almost every single chapter. That's why Allah sent Prophets and Messengers to every nation on Earth, throughout history, teaching the same thing. And these prophets ALL taught the exclusive worship of Allah, without partners, to have the knowledge that Allah is Aware of all that you do, and that Allah will resurrect you in the future and call you to account for your deeds. 3. There is no extensive moon imagery in Islam. It's a lie. That "crescent-moon" symbol was simply the flag of the Ottoman Empire and it was carried over to the flag of Turkey and Pakistan. But the crescent moon symbol has nothing to do with Islam. It was never used by the Prophet and the early generations of Muslims. The crescent moon is the symbol of the Ottoman Empire. That's it. 4. The Christians and Jews of Arabia don't use anything out of convenience, they say "Allah" because Allah means "The God." You're lying again. You blatantly lied again....Your knowledge of Islamic History and Islamic Aqeedah is so unbelievably minor as to defy belief. Seriously, do you copy&paste your arguments from your Church Pastor? GO OPEN UP A BOOK AND READ FOR YOURSELF. There is no excuse for ignorance here. There are very very basic points on Islamic Aqeedah. Wallahi if you aren't even aware of this, then you really know nothing about Islam. If you're not even aware of this most BASIC aspect of our Deen. Moderators, why are we allowing someone who has poor arguments to try and derail the thread? Xabad is not Muslim. HE'S NOT EVEN SOMALI. What is he doing on this forum, derailing threads and making arguments designed to confuse Somali Muslims who may not have much knowledge about Islam? I can see right through his nonsense, but maybe other people can't. So Xabad will continue making these ridiculous posts, in the hopes of confusing people who are reading this forum.
7. Force Qoslaaye out by any means necessary!! He was only in power for 22 months. That's not even 2 years. And look at how much damage he's done to the country already. We can't handle 2 extra years of this criminal staying in power. If this means we have an interim President for a mere 2 years, so be it. But Somalia is too fragile a state to have a criminal like Qoslaye holding the reins of power.
8. @Mooge said: niyoow, what was I telling you for two damn years? two years ago, you all laughed at me when I said qoslaye is alshabab and works with the terrorist to destroy the country for his own selfish cowardly gains. you all thought i was exaggerating when i said qoslaye is the most corrupt person to ever call himself somali president. there is nothign like this guy niyoow. ninkan ilahay ummada haka qabto. Mooge we took a huge gamble when electing Qoslaaye over Sheikh Shariif. In hindsight, Shariif was clearly the much better choice. A lot of the government civil servants and bureaucrats respect Qoslaye because out of respect for the Office he holds, not for the man himself. Once Qoslaye leaves power (and he will, there's absolutely zero chance he's getting re-elected) he should leave Somalia for his own good. I've never seen a Somali man destroy his credibility so thoroughly in such a short span of time.
9. These people make this argument because of their extreme lack of understanding of Islamic Aqeedah, so they go on and on about things they know nothing about. Xabad is making this old, baseless argument which has been soundly refuted decades ago. And what makes it worse is that this Pagan KNOWS what he's doing, but he's just seeking to troll this forum now. The Arab Christians in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Egypt refer to God as "Allah". Because Allah literally means "The God". And the Jews of Iraq used to do the same thing. Quran 41:37 "And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostate to Allah , who created them, if it should be Him that you worship." Quran 6:161 "Say, "Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path - a correct religion - the way of Abraham, inclining toward truth. And he was not among those who associated others with Allah ." Quran 6:162 Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah , Lord of the worlds.
10. @xabad said: To galbeedi; Waaq >> Allah the Moon god Deal with it. So instead of proving your claims and making worthwhile arguments you've resorted to cheap insults and under-handed tactics designed to irritate the Muslims on this forum. You're really something else Xabad. And every single post you make reaffirms my view that you're beneath my contempt
11. @xabad said: Hahaha, that is baloney, Christians had no knowledge of this arabian moon god Allah. such arrogance & revisionism is unparalleled. tell us Hinduism was monotheistic at one point too. Only a person with a bonobo IQ would tell such tall tales. The fact that you'd even make such old and tired arguments showcases your intelligence level. Authubilah. Do you just repeat the B.S. taught to you by Christian Missionaries, with this "moon-god" nonsense which has long-ago been refuted? Have you been living in a vacuum? You're not Somali. You're not Muslim. And by the quality of your arguments, you're not very intelligent either.
12. Eid Mubarak to everyone here!! Hope it's a great one filled with enjoyment inshaAllah!!
13. I hope this will finally unleash the agricultural revolution Africa was waiting for.... Thailand exports more food than ALL of Africa combined, wallahi that is an absolute disgrace. This is an unbelievable statistic. We have some of the best farmland in the world and most of the farmland isn't even being used. If we have foreign corporations come into our countries and they bring fertilizer, tractors, and other equipment to increase yield, then it'll benefit everyone. Sure there might be some people who get hurt at first. But the fact is half of Mozambican children are stunted due to malnutrition. Food is too expensive there. So the Mozambican farmers clearly aren't up to the job. And if the foreign investors can maximize food production in Mozambique while making sure food prices fall for all the citizens, then its a win-win situation. This would set off a chain-reaction which will lead to the Industrialization of Mozambique. Every country---before they industrialize---must go through an agricultural revolution, which would set off lower food prices. China and India both went through that in the 20th century. Europe went through that in the 19th century. Now its our turn
14. @CidanSultan said: An atheist and a polytheist who made an allegation against the Quran they said this gallen guy is were the Quran got its theories of embryology. We have presented to you both sides and both concepts tell us how they are similar ....?? Stop making an allegation and then when the truth is presented running away...answer our question. Simple Atheist and polytheists....hahahahah. It's funny because they actually provide not a SINGLE shred of evidence for their allegations. And then when they're refuted, they come back a month later with the same arguments. And they repeat their SAME old stuff over and over. There's no end to these people. I remember one time, Hamza Tzortzis (a British Muslim Speaker) absolutely destroyed Lawrence Krauss (an American Atheist Physicist) in a debate. I remember watching the debate last year, and it was so one-sided it was unbelievable. You know what happened after? Like a month later, Lawrence Krauss went ahead and made the SAME old arguments against Islam and against the existence of God. It was like he had amnesia and he completely forgot that the Muslim guy refuted him completely in that debate There's no end to these people
15. @xabad said: the sol editor is not working. your right copy/paste battles are pointless espcially when someone is not sincere like dr kenney. Listen. You're arguing from a point of ignorance/arrogance so your arguments are already devoid of any logic or sincerity. There's a reason why I don't debate you, because I don't seek to convince you. You've blatantly lied here on this forum a number of times, and we've seen the type of person you are. Which is why I don't ever want to explain myself to the likes of you. But here's the link you're asking for. Took me a while to find it since I couldn't remember the name of the video:
16. LOL^^ He references TheRationaliser. Is that the best he can do? This Youtube Character was absolutely destroyed on Youtube by a couple of Muslims It was a comprehensive, 3-hours-long, all-out rebuttal which put this shameless Kaffir in his place.
17. Cidan, I advise you not to get yourself into a lengthy and tiresome argument with this polytheist Xabad. I will never stoop so low as to explain myself to the likes of him. Wallahi he is beneath my contempt. He earned this distinction by blatantly lying and misrepresenting statements on this forum, and his polytheist beliefs just make him even worse. He's not even Somali. He even said so on this forum and admitted it.
18. It's not about lineage Xabad, it's about ideology. You have such a poisoned mindset that you don't realize that if Muslims suffer from a flood in Bangladesh, WE suffer from the flood in Bangladesh. And if Muslims are being oppressed in Central African Republic, then WE are being oppressed in Central African Republic. I align myself with those who have the same beliefs as I do, and a Muslim Turk or Indonesian deserves my loyalty and brotherhood far more than a Somali Atheist. Or a Somali Pagan as you claim to be. I have no control over my skin color or hair texture, but I do have full control over my beliefs and the way I live my life. And that's what separates me from the likes of you. I actually have principles that are worth more than any of the ridiculous and hollow beliefs which you subscribe to. Is that too difficult for you to understand? The Ottoman Empire was NOT comprised of only Turks, and in fact most of the inhabitants of that Empire were NOT Turkish. So it doesn't matter either way. The Invasion of Vienna in 1683 was a MUSLIM Invasion. Not a Turkish one. And your description of the future "dystopia" that would exist if the Caliphate was re-instated is so delusional as to defy logic. If the Caliphate wasn't a dystopia when it actually existed in the past, what makes you think it'll be one again? Is logic not one of your strong points?
19. This Xabad character really believes that the current state of the Muslims is something permanent. Things can, and things WILL change inshaAllah. The Muslims haven't always been weak. We have a 1400 year-long history, and most of that history the Muslims were very influential and extremely powerful. We Muslims were at the gates of Vienna in 1683, we were VERY close to conquering all of Europe. This was only 331 years ago. Things can and things WILL change. 100 years is nothing for us Muslims. 100 years is like a blink of an eye. That's what these Atheists fail to understand. We Muslims are very patient people, and if it takes 100 or 200 years to re-establish the Caliphate, then so be it. Perhaps I may not live to see the Caliphate arise, but that doesn't mean my children or grandchildren won't see it. It makes no difference to us. The Caliphate would benefit ALL people, regardless of their religious affiliation. One only needs to read about how Non-Muslims flourished and prospered under the rule of the Abbasid and Ottoman Caliphates.
20. Malistar, if I genuinely believed that Al Shabab was behind the wave of all the assassinations in the Capital City, then I wouldn't be saying this. I think most people would agree that some other criminal element is behind this wave of insecurity. And I am NOT advocating hateful separation of anybody. I would tell the same thing to the Somalis of Hiiraan and Galmudug and Awdal. Focus on developing your own region, and then come to the table with the rest of Somalia to work out some Confederation deal. There is no reason why Somalis in Galmudug or Puntland can't develop on their own without the help of the Federal Government. This whole "top-down" approach we've tried in Somalia has never worked for the last 23 years. Why not just try a decentralized approach where every region focuses on their own self-development.
21. Ohmygod Why is Xabad always LYING on this forum!!?? There have been literally HUNDREDS of protests about the Syrian War in the last 3 years! There have been demonstrations, hunger strikes, petitions and all sorts of stuff related to the Syrian War. Wallahi Xabad just makes up facts as he goes along! Is he blind? There have been Syrian War protests in every city from Los Angeles to New York to Toronto to London to Cairo to Sydney! But he just wants to ignore it and pretend these protests never happened. What is with Atheists and their tendency to just lie all the time? There is absolutely NO excuse for shamelessly lying on this forum like that! Wallahi NEVER TAKE THESE ATHEISTS AT THEIR WORD. THEY WILL LIE IF THEY KNOW THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT. No self respect. None at all
22. I WISH Somalia was a peaceful, stable country when I was 18 or 19 years old. I would have joined the Somali military for a couple of years. A LOT of young Somali men in the West want that opportunity to serve in the military, to gain valuable knowledge, experience and discipline. And to be honest, I think this young man saw no harm in it, since he's in the Finnish Army, a country which doesn't really get involved in other country's affairs. Finland isn't imperialist, they're not stepping on other country's necks, and I don't see them committing massacres in faraway lands. They haven't even been in a war for at least 70 years.
23. So basically Abdiweli should adopt the aggressive in-your-face behavior which Faroole was famous for? If that's the case, then I don't think it would happen, as you said. But the Puntlanders should leave Mogadishu en masse and start to look towards Bosaso and Garowe for investment. They have a big enough population and enough businessmen of their own to make it worthwhile. Stop relying on Mogadishu for anything. There's not a single thing they can provide for you, not even security. Too much time will be wasted when the Puntlander Youth need development, they need jobs, they need economic growth. So be self-reliant and only deal with Mogadishu on an equal basis in the future. InshaAllah in the future, when the time is right, Puntland and Banaadir can come together on an equal-terms basis, and form a loose Confederation similar to the United Arab Emirates.
24. Mooge, one thing though: The Puntland Government basically cut off relations with the Federal Government in Mogadishu. Once the Puntland MP's leave Mogadishu as well, that'll effectively seal off all contact between Mogadishu and Garowe. Would that be good for Somalis long-term? It'll be similar to the relationship that exists between the Government in Hargeisa and the Government in Mogadishu.
25. They should most definitely leave the city for good, until the city can reasonably protect politicians, businessmen and others. Mogadishu is a city where gunmen could brazenly kill a Politician and walk away as if nothing happened. And nobody gets arrested. The Police in that city are unbelievably incompetent at their jobs. And I don't think it's gonna get better for a long time
