Yeah, I am automatically an "ISIS Supporter" and a terrorist simply because I disagree with you. And you wonder why I'm laughing at you. Go back to the library, you're clearly in over your head here. Maybe you should research about Turkey's dilemma here, their geopolitical goals, and their relationship to the Kurds and to the region. But no, since Turkey does something you dislike, you want them kicked out of NATO, as if NATO gives a damn about the opinion of a Farax on an internet forum. Shooting range in Arkansa refuses to cater to muslims.
DoctorKenney replied to burahadeer's topic in Politics
The hostility towards Muslims has gotten noticeably worse since the summer. Like I have never in my life witnessed anti-Muslim sentiment jump so fast in the United States. I just hope this trend doesn't continue, or in a few years the USA will become a super-hostile place for American Muslims, similar to some European countries -
@Tallaabo said: This Hadith came into my mind when I read Khayr's comment. Knowingly spreading an epidemic to an unaffected area is a mass murder. It definitely is. If a man KNOWS that he has ebola, or some other contagious illness, then he is obligated to let everyone around him know about it, and to take the proper precautions. A man with Ebola flying to North America (where there are 500 million people) is never a good idea. A disease is much harder to control if the incubation period is several days and it's spread worldwide. Just imagine if Ebola spread to India, a country of 1.2 billion people. Imagine the disaster that would ensue. I don't know why people can't understand that.

Allah’s Apostle said, “If you hear the news of an outbreak of an epidemic (plague) in a certain place, do not enter that place: and if the epidemic falls in a place while you are present in it, do not leave that place to escape from the epidemic.” (Book #86, Hadith #103) Let's just hope that our friends in West Africa manage to keep control of this illness and to limit travel between the Ebola-plagued nations. Plagues are much easier to control when it's localized. The last thing we want to see is Ebola in East Africa, South Africa, India, South America, etc. All it takes is one person to spread it

We have a President who infamously laughed after Villa Somalia was attacked by Al Shabab!! How could anyone take Somalia seriously!?

Seccesionists, this is real progress. Learn from it

@Oodweyne said: DoctorKenney , And what do you say to those who think the incorporation of Somaliland into the Somali union is akin to the destruction of Somaliland, at least in their perspective? Think through your answer, my friend. For it will tell us whether you really believe your assertion, or whether you were simply saying things you do not believe in at heart. Lets hear your answer. What do I say to secessionists such as Tallaabo and Xaaji Xunjuf? Well, I prefer that we have a Somali Union which consists of several autonomous Federal States, each State having the power to secede from the Somali Union at will. A very loose Union of States. And I would want the Central Government in Mogadishu to have very little power and influence. The power will rest with the States (Somaliland, Puntland, Khaatumo, Central State, Jubbaland, etc.) The rest of Somalia has no right to force the Somalilander people to stay within a larger Somali Union. The decision is up to them. But I would honestly hope that we at least assess the benefits of a Somali Union, and if it's in their interest to secede from the rest of Somalia, then by all means they should do so. And this would be for the benefit of both sides. But if the Somalilander people DO decide to stay within a Somali Union, then we should at least look at the mistakes of the 1960-1991 era and vow not to repeat them. The same way how East Germany and West Germany were united into 1 country in 1991, after the Cold War ended. The West and East Germans assessed the benefits of reunifying their country and then they decided to go through with it. -

LOL Tallaabo I had no idea BTW Tallaabo there is an enormous effort within the Muslim community to change the status quo, to incorporate Islam into their lives, and to create Islamic societies free from corruption, nepotism, and ignorance. Just because they don't make news doesn't mean they don't exist. ISIS can go to Hell -

@Tallaabo said: Lool I am sure I saw a cash machine in Hargeisa when I visited the city almost a year ago. Although I don't like to carry cash around and prefer a cashless society where transactions are done online and wirelessly( an area where Somaliland is making real progress), I welcome the progress Mogadishu is making. But let me assure you no amount of cash machines in Mogadishu can make your daydream of destroying Somaliland a reality :-D No one wants to destroy Somaliland. Axmed simply wants "Somaliland" to be incorporated into a larger Somali Union. How you can describe this as "destruction" is simply beyond me -

@Khayr said: The point of the Hollywood machine was achieved with you. You proved my point. Khayr, it really does depend on the movie. Everything isn't black and white saaxib. For example, that movie "Kingdom of Heaven" with Orlando Bloom tells the story of Salahudeen Ayyubi during the Crusades and it depicts the Muslims in a positive light and the Crusaders in a negative light. Yes, I do recognize that much of Hollywood does demonize Muslims, but not every single movie does that though. And I really do believe that Argo wasn't a movie meant to demonize Muslims, it was simply designed to tell us the fascinating events during the 1979 Revolution in Iran -

Why are Naxar Nugaleed and Burahadeer so adamant in compromising Islam in order to appease Islamophobes? Do you really believe that this will endear you to people like Bill Maher and Sam Harris (who actually advocated that the Muslim world be nuclear bombed). What happened to your sharaf? What's with this defeatist mentality? Why the f*** do you care what these people think? Shouldn't you concern yourself with what Allah thinks of you? You want to gain the approval of Non-Muslims by imitating them, and then you want to ignore and completely discard the Guidance of Allah in order to appease these people? Quran 2:120 And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their religion. Say, "Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance." If you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would have against Allah no protector or helper. We Muslims have a bright white history, everywhere from Islamic Spain to Cairo to Damascus to Baghdad to Timbuktu attests to this fact. One only needs to look into the history books and see for themselves. And the time when we Muslims were the pre-eminent political, military, scientific and cultural power in the world was when we stuck close to our religion. -

@Khayr said: Here is a question for you: What side were you cheering for at the end of the movie? Did you find the Islamic Revolution ohave been portrayed in any "positive light"? I don't know how that's relevant at all? Since when do I owe my loyalty to the Ayatollah of Iran? Obviously I was cheering for Ben Affleck! The objective of the story was to have them escape Iran and not be imprisoned. What does this have to do with anything at all? Since when is it acceptable to kidnap and imprison foreign unarmed diplomats?! You know, even if I was Iranian I would STILL cheer for Ben Affleck in that movie. -
More than 120 Muslim scholars from around the world released an 18 page detailed refutation of ISIS and their actions in the Middle East. They've sourced their refutation heavily on the Quran as well as the Sunnah. I thought this was very interesting, and this should serve as a knife in the back to all ISIS supporters who have a minimal knowledge of Islam This 18 page letter can also apply to Al Shabab, Al Qaeda, Boko Haram and any other similar group. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/09/24/muslim-scholars-islamic-state_n_5878038.html

@Khayr said: Why do you think that they made that movie? The only reason that they have an issue with Iran is because of Islam and Iran's Islamic Revolution. You remind of someone that said "Zero Dark Thirty" was an exciting movie albeit it made torturing and villanousing muslims an acceptable practice. Hollywood is the greatest classroom in the modern world and it dictates popular culture and new worldviews. I wasn't talking about "Zero Dark Thirty" I was talking about Argo. Maybe you should see the film. It's a great piece of entertainment No one was being "demonized" in the film at all, and the film was actually based on actual events. Things that actually happened. What do you really think that such an interesting story won't make it to the Big Screen simply because it makes the 1979 Iranian Regime look bad? You sound like those English people who complained that the movie Braveheart (with Mel Gibson) made English people look terrible. Even though Braveheart was actually based off a true story. (That's a totally great movie as well, I suggest you watch it ) -

@Tallaabo said: We produced terrorists who killed and maimed the natives of our adopted countries; we preached hate from the pulpit of our mosques; ridiculed the culture of our host societies; exploited their women; plighted every neighbourhood with knife and gun yielding, hard drugs-peddling, thieving youths; and failed to take responsibility for our actions. Therefore, we are responsible for whatever happens to us. Warya speak for yourself. Drugs-peddling and prostitution rings are completely un-Islamic and are perpetrated by Jamaican gangs as well as Russian gangs in Britain as well as the rest of Europe. Sure they may be Moroccan and Turkish gang members in Europe but their actions have nothing to do with Islam so why even bring it up. It isn't an Islamic issue and you know that. -

@Khayr said: Funny thing is Affleck didn't have an issue with making muslims look like lunatics in "Argo", a movie that received Oscar recognition. Argo was a fantastic movie It was based on a true story as well. I don't agree that it was "designed" to make Muslims look bad, as much as it was designed to make the Iranian regime look terrible. -

@Mintid Farayar said: What's more worrisome and alarming is reading the comments below the video. It's difficult to find a single one sympathetic to Islam or Muslims. This is the future threat to those of us living in the West - to be continuously suspected and labeled a threat to the societies we have called home for the past few decades. And I hear the situation is even worse in Europe. Somalis in countries such as Sweden, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands and other countries have to deal with increased xenophobia, Islamophobia, and the rise of right-wing Nationalist groups who want to expel all foreigners from their homeland. I seriously advocate that Somalis in those countries start thinking of a long-term exit strategy, as the hostility towards their presence grows with time. What Muslims had to deal with in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks is nothing like what we have to deal with today. Even innocent activities such as constructing a large mosque is met with widespread hostility and suspicion. -

@Safferz said: Yes, but they are also mad about the Moozlums, Mexican "illegals" stealing their jobs, white males becoming the new persecuted minorities, and now diseased Africans at their gates, spreading ebola just by looking at you. It's interesting to see how ebola panic has fused with xenophobia and anti-immigration rhetoric. That has nothing to do with the topic. This man went to America to escape the Ebola epidemic in Liberia. I don't blame him. But the Americans are pissed off that he even came to America, risking the Ebola virus spreading into America. I don't blame them either. They don't want a repeat of the Spanish Flu which killed 100 million people in 1920, but they make the mistake in comparing the Spanish Flu to Ebola in the first place.

He did nothing to deserve this brutal murder. And ISIS beheaded this innocent man for shock value and to intimidate their opponents. There are videos online of ISIS slaughtering entire groups of Kurdish men, Sunni Arab men, teenagers, and all those who oppose their rule!
