The UN itself is a corrupt system. All those reports that come out also have the perfect timing in order to destabilize or discredit others. That's why it's best to have independent organizations to do researches like this. Interesting article.

Apostasy and blasphemy laws - Women who remarry lose custody of their children. - Under Sharia law, a girl is eligible for marriage as soon as a girl begins her first period. Overall it's sadistic with its public flogging and stonings etc. Sharia is a nightmare in my opinion and will only invite intolerance and fear of any progression. I see here people only celebrating it, because it has tamed the untameable Somali for a few months. So fear is the weapon?

Good pavement, roads, decent urban planning, trees, parks, food, water and housing for all, health care, education, job creation, etc. Garissa might be a case study for Somalis to look at on how oil money can be spent. I hope it's done wisely and will not disappear in pockets. One well alone is worth 1.6 billion dollars. :cool:

The first two pictures remind me of Kurdistan and even Grozny that is being rebuilt with oil money and Turkish involvement. Somalis lack to define and stand for national interests. And lack the political will for long term planning. That is the greatest tragedy ever. All nations have national interests and work hard for them. Somalia has fiefdoms a.k.a. Game of Thrones. I wonder what 22 years of chaos has done to the psyche of the men and boys on how they view Somali girls/women. They must think so low of them. 10 - 15 rape victims daily is insanely high. And the figure must be higher because of the taboo and shame that exists. Even when women are covered head to toe they are raped. It doesn't even help. Sometimes I don't understand why Somalia is on number 4 or 5 of the worst places to be a woman. It should be number 1.

Will Aweys be barred from politics? If he won't be executed. I can't imagine him in the Somali government promoting extremist views. So many people are grieving for their loved ones and this man was (partly) responsible for that. The government will lose its legitimacy if they treat him with impunity. Unless he comes forward with useful intelligence. He needs to be sanctioned regardless.
