Toughest day in the war so far, Over 40 ISIS Terrorists Killed as Puntland Troops Advance Boosaaso (PP News Desk) — An intense battle took place today in Jeceel Valley in the Calmiskaad mountain range after Puntland Defence Forces advanced on ISIS hideouts. A spokesman for the Puntland Defence Forces stated that Puntland troops “have fully taken control of all areas targeted for counterterrorism operations today.” The spokesman added that more than 40 ISIS terrorists were killed in today’s battle, while many others were wounded. “Our troops are still pursuing fleeing ISIS terrorists” the spokesman said. The battle at Jeceel Valley resulted in the highest number of ISIS casualties to date, after the proscribed group attempted to hold out in hideouts at Dharin and Haraaryo. Graphic photos shared on social media indicate that most of the ISIS terrorists killed in the battle “were foreigners.” Meanwhile, a top ISIS official, Abdirahman Shirwa Aw Saeed, yesterday surrendered to Puntland Defence Forces yesterday.
