Not a regional or qabiil element, you dimwit, but a recognisable societal property unique to the Somalis. You would not know what I am referring to you, thus does not apply to you.

No wonder you could never stick with the flow of natural conversation, xitaa your brain is not wired like the average Somali. It explains the disjoint.

Needless to say defence moats had been breached in more ways than one.

All valid concerns. -------------------------------------------------------------------- ππ¨π«π π¨π πππ«ππππ ππ«ππ§π¬πππ«π«ππ ππ¨ ππ¦π’π«πππ’ ππ¨π¦π©ππ§π². The owners of the Port of Garacad have unanimously agreed to transfer its management to an Emirati company. Additionally, they have extended the tenure of the management committee overseeing the operations of the Joint Port Company. This agreement entails selling 60% of the portβs shares to the Abu Dhabi-based company from the United Arab Emirates. The contract will be in effect for a duration of 30 years. The Emirati company plans to introduce several improvements to the Port of Garacad, including: Constructing the Garacad-Goldogob Road. Establishing a Dry Port. Building hangars. Completing unfinished sections of the port. Installing cranes. Developing a large fish processing factory. Furthermore, the company will bring extensive international business operations under its brand name to the port. The Emirati investment in the Port of Garacad represents a significant opportunity for both the port and the Garacad-Goldogob road. The Joint Port Company Management Committee previously signed a memorandum of understanding with the Abu Dhabi-based company. The shareholders of the Port of Garacad have been holding meetings in Galkayo over the past few days, which concluded officially today. https://twitter.com/TheDailySomalia/status/1817613824947544266

Hawd is usually included in the Waqooyi political sphere even though it is geographically situated in the West, but then again, you would have known that had you been a bona fide native. By the way, it is "Waqooyi => origin 'Waaq hooy [Waaq's lair], pre-Islam idol' ", and not "Woqooyi". It follows the same naming convention as the days of the week, and months of the Gregorian calendar. Again, aan kuu ducaynee maandhow, afka & dhulka noo daa!
-
See, that is how I know you are "sheegato silloon", and if a true reer Waqooyi, you would have said 'Nacamlaynta jooji'; niiko is not in the Waqooyi vocabulary. Qoti ibn qoti!

Imagine if we had our act together, and could have taken over not only S Galbeed, but other Muslim regions: reinstitution of futuh al habasha! They are now going through what we had gone through in the 90s.

Let us hope the Wadaagsan group had done their homework, and our fears shall be allayed.
-
That is a good question, and I think that along with the timelines shall be shared after the agreement has been signed. The details about the original plan could be found here https://dekadagaracad.com/ https://www.adports.ae/

Wadaagsan investors board agreed to the terms of the agreement between Wadaagsan Co. and Abu Dhabi Ports & Terminal Authority: 30 years, 40% & 60% respectively (incl. a number of projects mainly the 3G road construction project and completion of the port). Wadaagsan has a 90 year contract to manage the port.

I specifically reserve that language for you alone, as you deserve nothing less. In your warped rationality, 'cos Xabasha are squatting in southern regions, you are dashing, in hasty and not to be outdone, to award them the North West to compete for submission? I do not know why I thought you would acknowledge the folly in your step, but then again, I have a theory you are a sleeper cell for the Xabasha.

Of course, it is your fault, you ungodly, Xabasha-loving, raw meat feasting, glue-sniffing, tobacco-chewing, bale-spitting, piles-inflicted, skinny jeans adorning, red-toothed numpty!

So, the song particularly composed to coincide with the June 26th festivities performed in front of the elites of the State does not represent the general sentiment of the people; is that what you are trying to tell us? I am astounded by your unique mastery of always blaming the FGS where all else fails, and where Shankaroon falls flat on its visage with its feline on full frontal display!

Ahlan ya abu shubrah, it is good to be back into the fold. And when I thought it could not never get any lower. Lost generation iga dheh! Those composing the lyrics, and these young cubs regurgitating it are most likely the children of good men and women, who died for the Somali cause.

This was a fine lecture peeling the layers of sore reality in our nation. I hope students have absorbed core fillings of the lecture. Not one of my favourites, nor a good politician, but one of the best academicians in his field in the Somali peninsula. Q&A Adjunct: Etymology: - Concept (conceptum (Latin) : immediate object of thought; to take in, and to hold; to become pregnant. - Understand (): To stand in the midst of a concept; grasp the idea of;

Thanks for sharing. So well-intended, well-written, good in spirit, and compliant with State protocol far better than any of the recycled nightly press releases from villa Xamar these days; why in 3 languages (Latin, Italian, and English)? I was hoping to see the Arabic version? Did you find this in the family archives?

Correct, as a city State. It is currently generating approximately 300m in revenue from an estimated 2 - 3bn in grants, aid, and other monies pouring into the city for the FGS. The question is as and when said funds have dried up, as they will, will it survive? If so, how? Think about Kabul. So, you consider the FGS more of a burden than a blessing for the city? This ties back to the original question. I thought it was a balance of both. See if you could elaborate.

You got the wrong end of the stick missing the point of the question by a long mile. It is not about its being the de facto nation's capital, or not, but its economic viability. With so being the case, let us try it again, and this time think about its sources of revenue to self-sustain itself. That is a factor, but there are others to consider incl. lack of resources, cost of living, human capital, industries amongst many.
-
It does not have old money, livestock, farming land, large fishing body of waters, nor small industries? What drives its economy? How large is its service industry? As the nation's de facto capital (yet to be legally determined), could it self-sustain? For instance, Washington D.C., with an annual budget of 19+ bn, a GDP of 180 +/- bn in goods and services in 2023, 0.6% of the US economy, it has the highest unemployment rate in the US.

O' just a bit of an insight, hypothetically speaking, predicate on the conditional clause of "if and when". Competitive perhaps, but for now, we are neither blessed with the wealth nor the human capital AD port & terminal offers, and unlike DP World of Dubai, it is neither as cut-throat business-wise nor degenerate as al Maktoumi's Dubai, but foreign nonetheless. A city State of half a million Emirati, I do not see it as a threat as, say Turkey, an empire seeking to regain its glorious departed self. Is any part of Somali territories primed for entering into long-term exploitative contracts / agreement with any foraging nations hunting for treasure troves? I think not. Are there benefits to be gained? Check Berbera & Bosaso (DP World), Xamar port and airport, as managed by Aufot General & Favori respectively. I think so. Sell off, or auction an inch of any Somali territory? Never! Trust any politician to doing that which is in the best interest of the nation, or the right thing? Never! Again, it is not for sale.
