Donald Trump will be president again Second term
Illyria replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
O' I have been there a few times, and never wanted to be seen anywhere near them, let alone chance visitation. Are there two Dixon council estates? Or have things changed since early 2000s, last time I visited? -
Could have been disastrous, I agree, as that was during the incubation period of the bottom-up approach, which gave way to Federalism, with the biggest benefactors being conflict-ridden southern regions. Or could have been better in that many ensuing problems incl. the rise of al Shabab, the SSC conflict etc. could have been prevented. With its foibles, Federalism is a system, which could keep the nation in harmony, and sovereignty intact, till its people have politically matured, and set their differences aside. To whom do you credit the federalist project in its original form (I do not think we could call what is being practised by Farmaajo & Xasan as that)?

The plan was to form a government in the N West and N East with Cigaal and C/llahi Yusuf consulted, as commissioned by the UN, under the aegis of David Stephen, then UNPOS Rep. The idea was presented to Cigaal & C/llahi Yusuf in '99, both of whom initially accepted in principle. Cigaal posited to consult political leadership in Hargeysa, who categorically rejected the plan. C/llahi Yusuf proposed Cigaal to assume the leadership role even with Hargeysa as the seat of future government. In the impasse, Stephen shared the idea with IOG, who jumped at it during his address at the UN. Carta was born, and the rest is history. Fahad is neither well-briefed, seasoned, nor as informed of Somali political affairs, mostly past events, as he likes to present himself as a paragon of sound judgement, and a fountain of wisdom. Now, if some of the statements he is passing on as facts are as flawed, then one would want to ask: what else is he just conjuring up and passing on as facts? Postscript: In all seriousness, Cigaal was a divisive, opportunist, and murderous politician, one of the worse misfortunes that could have befallen upon Somali politics, incl. that of SL at the time, [the] architect of the single City state political quagmire, depriving other regions and cities, marginalising significant clans, only to serve his political interest, all of which are currently dogging SL, but none of his accolades would admit to that. Visit Burco & Berbera, and there his legacy shall greet you out in the open.

I can and I must, for you are dotty high on spliff! Besides, that argument might have made sense in the past, but in 2024, not quite so. You are just on the precipice of sprouting, and acting as if a cornered beetle flying from one fire to another. I am forever your conscious, and only saviour!

You are free to do as you please in your triangle with conditions: Reer Awdal choose that which best serves their public interest (not that you have a say in the matter, but acceptance is key). No Habashas in Somali lands barring lands already under occupation (for your posterity).

Hang on, I thought this pauper sod was a Canuck of Dixon slums, but it is now making sense as to his lowly comprehension of fine repartee. I would have been more tactful, if gentler had I known said fact. As to Trump, with Maine and Colorado removing him from the ballot, it is still to be determined if he could even run with other States expected to follow suit, unless SCOTUS (US Supreme Court: 6 (Cons) vs 3 (Libs) ) throws him a life line. Other States incl. MN, MI, OR, CA etc. considered his case, and allowed his being on the ballot. Other States might still block him due to pending legal lawsuits, some criminal. -
There has been heavy fighting which lasted for five hours where Al-Shabaab took over three bases of the Somali National Army stationed in Caad, Galmudug Region. On top of the heavy losses, the Somali National Army’s Gorgor Commandos officers and soldiers who survived the attack & spoke to me; revealed more than 230 confirmed deaths with countless injured. The SNA stationed there were 4 battalions of Gorgor Commandos, 15 suicide bombers detonated their vests while waves of attacks by terrorists ensued in the heat of battle. No reinforcements made to the besieged army despite the heavy losses, Al-Shabaab took massive armaments and battle reinforced wagons. Since Hassan Sheikh announced his half-baked fake war against the terrorists, the number of lost soldiers exceed 4,000 and more than 300 officers of the national army! https://x.com/TerraAbdirizak/status/1750170516000817256?s=20

Oi mate, stop, this kid (XX) is a mental patient, and we can not discuss critical matters, ethical or otherwise, requiring moral clarity, rationality, and maturity with him, as if a sane person. Innocent civilians killed by Barre's regime were our people (yours, mine, and us all), and it was a criminal act, and wrong to all right-thinking people. Wrong is never right, no matter who does it, and to whom it is done, even if to your worse enemy.

WAS IT OR WAS IT NOT, AND WHAT WAS CHANGED, IF ANY? Speaker Adan Madoobe says the procedural changes passed with an overwhelming majority, but the voting process says otherwise. But what was it that Speaker Adan Madoobe and President Hassan Sheikh claim they changed? President @HassanSMohamud and Speaker Adan Madoobe claim that procedural changes that will pave the way for constitutional amendment have today passed the parliament. They also claim any future constitutional amendment will from now on require only a simple majority instead of the previously mandated two-thirds majority. This is expected, in a similar voting process, to enable President Hassan Sheikh to change the constitution from a parliamentary and clan-based powersharing system to a presidential system. In short, with an amended constitution, President Hassan Sheikh will remain President and Muse Bihi will be the Vice President. Presidential term will be changed from four to five years. There will be no more Office of the Prime Minister. In summary, it is back to the UK Proposed north-south confederation and a clan-based political alliance between Mogadishu and Hargeisa, and for now, the strenghthening of the political alliance between Hassan Sheikh and Muse Bihi. Meanwhile, now that you have seen President Hassan Sheikh's interview with Al-Jazeera (https://twitter.com/radiodaljir/status/1749819283184697517?t=HpPvpaB1tNgVDbgDf1z8lg&s=19), if you had any doubts about the MoU and President Hassan Sheikh's "Ethiopia is the #2 enemy of Somalia", doubt some more. If you thought President Hassan Sheikh will unify Somalia and safeguard the unity and territorial integrity of Somalia, doubt even some more.

Allah ayaan ka beryey in uu maalin aan fogayn i kaa horkeeno, inta aanan dhiman, si aad u dhadhamiso xannuunka reer Sool ay dareemeen bilahaas. Inta ka horaysa, iska faataa dhuglee. Waa wacad Alle! Documentary: Loss of life and living at the start of SSC-Khatumo liberation struggle.

I am aware of the transitional year post ina Cigaal passing, and was only accounting for his full term. In other words, more concerned about journalists being arrested than massacres and atrocities being dispensed. Got it.

I am hearing about a coalition being formed by Eritrea, Tigray and Amhara regions leaving Abiy's grand empirical aspiration in tatters; it further speaks as to the timing of his signing the agreement with Bixiye as a new year gift for the nation all for theatrics to appease and misdirect. Tyrants and despot are odd creatures.

Operation Liquidate Federal Constitution in a rush kicked off in Mog town at the wrong time, and for the wrong reasons. So much for mobolising the nation to defend its seas from invading foe.

The airline is not wholly owned by Ethiopia with two of the largest shareholders, majority stakeholders, being !sraelites. It is managed and run by an !sraeli company.

As concerning as all of those are, destabilising the whole region, killing and uprooting its people cause far more injury than any. O' I am familiar with said transgressions, atrocities and even more, but did not want to go down that rabbit hole. I have got family members who could not visit home, and had to relocate their businesses from Hargeysa 'cos of Bixiye and his family. Cigaal: 1993 – 2002 (9 yrs till his passing) Riyaale: 2003 – 2010 (7 yrs) Silanyo: 2010 – 2017 (7 yrs) Bixiye: 2017 – 2024) (7 yrs, and to be determined). Lower House of Reps: last elected in 2005 squatting in their seats for 16 years, till 2021. Upper House (Guurti): Never elected (From 1993 - present with S Gaal being its Chair since 2004 (20 yrs).

There is a conflict brewing, and reer Awdal have been arming themselves to defend themselves from marauding Bixiye militias. Do you think they are interested in pseudo elections? I'll let Galbeedi speak to that. I am dying here trying to reason with you, mate. All right, let me try as if you were a six-year old: SL was stable. Bixiye came along. Invaded Sool. Shelled mercilessly the city of Las Anod for 8 months massacring thousands most of whom women, elderly and children. Forced more than 300,000 people flee their homes. On other fronts, he started conflicts amongst communities starting with GXJS pitched against H Awal, then H Jeclo, and then turned State weapons on GXJS. Engulfed the whole region in war. Now, let me repeat: what is the textbook definition of a tyrant? " a ruler who has unlimited power over the state / people, and uses it unfairly and cruelly". by all definitions, in any right-thinking minds, Bixiye is the terrorist tyrant! I give up!

I do not know si aan wax kuugu sheego. Neither of you could be right in a million years. Please repeat after me: "dhul Somali (from Dirir Dhabe to Zeylac to Ras Casayr to Ras Kambooni) vs Dhul qarmiyada kale (anything beyond Somali peninsula borders). For the last time on this question, is that clear? Far from contradiction. Let me explain: Natural lands inhabited by Somalis are formed and shaped by Somalis well before European vagabonds arrived. When we say defend Somali borders, we are talking about the Somali peninsula incl. lands we have lost, and still under occupation. And to liberate occupied lands, first we MUST keep Somali lands in our possession intact, namely Somali republic, and then work towards liberating occupied Somali lands, namely S Galbeed & NFD. How many times I am to repeat that: we do not recognise colonial borders of the Somali lands of all. Bloody hell, it is like talking to a f@cking tree.

Could you read what you wrote out loud, and process one statement after the other, I know it is very difficult for you, but try. Mind you, people with your mental state are advised to record what they say, and re-listen at a later time alone, in a dark corner, and away from other right-thinking people, lest snuffed. You said : Then you said: F@cking genius! Why was the country in a civil war? The textbook definition of a tyrant is " a ruler who has unlimited power over the state / people, and uses it unfairly and cruelly".
-
With now Awdal out in the wind, elections are highly unlikely. If only the regions of W Galbeed & Togdheer participate in the elections, then Wadani stands no chance in hell.

As usual, you are conflating two distinctly different arguments: Dhulka Somali ee xorta ah (Somali Republic), and Dhulka Somali ee gumaysigu bixiyey (S Galbeed & NFD) ee weli maqan. Let it be, I who, reminds you, tens of thousands of young men, many of your own kin and kith, perished trying for its liberation. You and the two fellows speaking fail to comprehend the difference, but if you paused for a second before agaping your gobs, you would have been much the wiser. Alas, wisdom and logical thought are ONLY granted by Allah. Yet, the first fellow makes a valid point, inadvertently I might add, which negates his initial statement, and the ones made afterwards, which he did not intend to; he said "awood loo hayana dhulkaa laga xoreeyo". We are now struggling to defend the Republic, let alone liberate occupied Somali lands. Core of his argument is "Why do not we liberate occupied Muslim lands instead of discussing defense of free Somali lands? ". Not much thinking going on in warped secessionist minds! Again, wisdom is ONLY granted by Allah to the few.

Next Ethiopian War: Eritrea/Amhara vs Tigray/Abiy
Illyria replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
Heart-breaking, the tragedy and scars of war are very evident, and painted on the faces of the people, young and old. At minute 2800, the young tour guide lady was reduced to tears by the sad state of the orphans. This region looks a lot like eastern part of Sanaag. Despite our differences, people of the Horn are the same. The landscape, cities, countryside, and the people are no different from what one might see in any region in the Somali peninsula. Postscript: I like this vloggers, as he comes across as down to earth, even when disappointed for not seeing / meeting the virgin guards, and his final message is heart warming. -
Xamza is sharper, to the point, and more articulate than Xasan, after all, as the PM, he is the sole undertaker, and it is his responsibility to engage in, and discharge all matters related to the Executive branch. This donkey warden is out of order. Some wise person needs to sit him down, tear up his passport to never travel, keep him away from mosques to never make stupid speeches, and ban him from the microphone to never speak rubbish.
